Panini Kabob Grill - Brea

I wanted to update my review. This review of one star is not for the hard-working staff there. Especially the manager Kean who is doing a tremendous job under a remarkable amount of stress. They are clearly not supported for the remarkable amount of work that is not possible to complete under the current conditions. We were supposed to pick up an order placed over a week ago and it took an hour passed our pickup time. Clearly the food is good but it's not worth the stress and headache of not knowing if your orders are going to ever be processed. Tens of people canceled their order on the line and likely had parties or guests that were not going to eat a catered meal that evening. This is not okay and corporate should not be okay with it either. My biggest concern was quality control and making sure we were not going to get undercooked food which I'm sure some of these orders are not completed properly. It's a real Health concern.

Made a online order at 2pm to pick up at 6pm, after arrive to the restaurant order was not ready we wait for 30 min then we ask again and they said we had to wait another 35 min.... We cancelled the order. The clerk was very rude, we understand the restaurant was busy but they should organize better the workflow and not accept more orders that the ones they can handle.

I enjoy panini kabob grills all over southern CA, Great food, so good, not overpriced for what you get, this be is so busy, the servers were having a hard time keeping up.

Food is excellent, yet since they are getting a lot of business on take out orders. They don't have the team and or restaurants equipment to provide a good service to people dinning in.

I arrived with my family at 11:15 am and we started eating at 12:00 pm only two servers, and the kitchen was working as fast as they could. You can feel stressed employees, and it is not their fault. They do the best they can. Just to get the check I waited almost 20 min and at the end I stepped up and paid at the register desk.

I love their food, but honestly I would think twice to go again, I don't like to deal with stressed workers.

This is the third Panini Kabob Grill I've visited, and like the two before, the food was fresh and delicious.

We both ordered the Mediterranean salad with salmon. It was a standard mixed green salad with, olives, cucumber, tomato, crumbled feta cheese and a balsamic vinaigrette. It also came with a few pieces of bread. The salmon chunks were cooked perfectly too. It was a light dinner, but left us satisfied.

Prices were fair, the place was clean and ....a big shout-out to Lestat who was literally the only waiter and he was crushing it. He was running around, seating people, taking orders, handling requests and did it all with the best attitude and friendly smile.

After sitting down, we were completely ignored. They did take our order about 30 minutes after we sat, and that was all the service we received. We never received drinks or food. After over an hour of sitting, we decided to leave.

The food was excellent 👌👍🏻 & the Restaurant was very clean🍽️! The "wait time" was 20-ish minutes to arrive at one's table, the restaurant is very small; you have to sit too close to others & conversations are not private! Also, only 1-server & 1- busboy. Next time I will order "Take-out"!

Great food, great service! It gets very busy at lunch, so I always come a little early or late. If you've never been there, start with the Chicken Kabob plate. It's the best.

I am traveling for work and a colleague brought me here for dinner. I was impressed with the quality and flavor of the tzatziki and chicken kabobs. The portion size was quite large for the price and enough for 2 people. The staff was very kind and attentive. Definitely will be back.

Kabobs were overcooked. Beef Kabobs were made of ground beef, tasted like cheap meat. Veggies were burnt. I don't plan on coming back.

I recommend eating at the restaurant as opposed to take-out. The hummus is amazing as well as their paninis. I had the steak panin9 which comes with a soup. I chose the lentil, all is delicious.

Speaking for call-in orders. The first call, I waited an unusually long time before I hung up because no one picked up the phone. The second time someone picked up but proceeded to put me on hold for 5 minutes. Hung up and called again, this time the same person picked up, and I think they recognized my voice from the call I made literally 5 minutes ago because they finally took my order. Mind you, the time difference in-between from when I ended the second call and started the third call was a couple seconds. I totally understand if they were busy but.... felt like the waitress was just waiting to see how long she could hold me out to see if I still wanted to order or if I would hang up. Sad because I really love this place and their food. Safe to say I'm never coming back again though.

Family plate of ground beef kabob(koobideh) is what we usually get from this place. One of the best tasting koobideh kabob that you can find in OC. Far better than most restourants that are supposed to have authentic Persian food. I have no comment about their service because we take the food out normally.

Panini Kabob Grill has delicious food served in generous portions! However, the restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating that is very small compared to other Panini Kabob Grills. So, plan accordingly because the wait can be long, both to be seated & to get your food, especially at lunch & dinner time.

The food is delicious but before I used to buy the family package or combo and the containers were bigger than what I got today and I paid the same price the price is the same but the container of chicken and veggies are smaller not happy about it I always get the combo for 4 people but now its not enough for 4 people the chicken container are smaller

Absolutely appalling service. Did not even make it in the front door. We were waiting to be seated. There was a party of 8 in front of us also waiting for a hostess. We all sat there for over 10 minutes while staff continued to work and pass by not even acknowledging us. Then when someone new came up just walked straight past us all and someone came over, a party of 10 who had not been waiting over 10 minutes but was helped immediately. We went to Buca di Beppo instead. Which has amazing service and food😉

Any time I pick up an Uber eats delivery from here, I end up waiting an excessive amount of time past when the order was supposed to be ready, sometimes in excess of 30 minutes. This is especially a problem when I have a 2 or 3 order delivery, then those orders I already picked up from other restaurants are sitting in my car an extra 30 plus minutes, which can cause the customers to take off my expected tips and give me negative reviews on my Uber eats profile because their food is later than expected and cold or not as fresh as they expected.

We didn't end up eating here today. But we LOVE the food. Their customer service is very questionable. We arrived at 7:03, put our name down for 4 people. We get a text message about 10 minutes later that our table is ready (outside). We noticed they gave the only family of 4 table away to somebody else. The Hostess knew they made a mistake, and she tried her hardest to get a table ready for us. About another 10 minutes we get our table outside. We sit there for about 5 minutes and see a table inside gets cleared, and I asked the hostess if we can sit inside instead. She said it wasn't a problem and they'll get the table cleaned right away. I even offered to leave the table we were sitting in so another party could have it, and she said it was OK to wait at our seats. The only waitress hears we're going to move and says "oh you're going inside," and we said yes. She doesn't bother getting our order. When our table is cleaned, they give our table away inside to another party, again. Luckily, the whole inside is beginning to clear. So we get a table about 5 minutes after the other party. We can see the hostess and other employees talking and looking at us. I am a little upset, but I understand things happen. What was upsetting was that the waitress who knew we were moving inside decided not to take our order and took the other party's order that took our seat the 2nd time first. That was the icing on the cake, and we decided to leave. I know I should've reached out to the manager then to let them know the poor communication with the employees, but now I'm really upset. I just ask to have better communication between the employees. If you make a mistake, try to fix it right away and not make matters worse. This whole ordeal took about 45 minutes. Considering everything, it was not worth eating there at that time.

음식맛도 좋고 양도 가격에 비해 적당한 편입니다. 서비스도 친절하고요.
파스타는 면이 좀 많이 삶아져서 물컹한 식감이었지만 케밥은 정말 맛있었습니다.

실내가 좁아 투고하는 사람들, 배달음식 픽업하는 사람들이 북적거려서 차분하게 식사를 즐기는 분위기는 아닙니다.

여기까지는 일반적은 리뷰이고 아래에는 제가 경험한 일반적이지 않은 경험에 대해 공유합니다.

어바인 지점에 자주 가는 편인데 집에서 가까운 곳인 이 곳에 처음으로 가봤습니다.
우리가 시킨 스테이크 케밥에서 파란색 주방용 장갑의 조각이 나왔습니다.
주방으로 보니 요리사들이 착용한 것도 같은 색깔이더군요.
저도 요식업 매장을 운영하는 입장에서 이 정도는 이해할 수 있습니다.
실수는 누구나 할 수 있으니까요.
하지만 샐러드 봉지 조각이라는 매니저의 설명을 듣고 그가 우리를 바보로 보는 것 같아서 조금 당황했습니다.
고기쪽에서 나왔는데 무슨 말이냐고 했더니 그제서야 장갑이 맞다고 시인을 하더군요.
처음에는 샐러드를 새로 줄까냐고 하더니 고기에서 나왔다고 하니 steak skewer 를 하나 더 줬습니다.

이런 상황이면 손님은 보통 입맛을 잃어버린 상황이라 더이상 식사를 하기가 쉽지 않습니다.
어떤 곳에서는 식사 전체 비용을 받지 않고 심지어 상품권까지 주는 곳도 있습니다.
왜냐면 단순히 하나의 음식이 잘못된 것이 아니라 손님들에게 불쾌한 경험을 제공했기 때문에 거기에 대한 미안한 마음을 표시하는 거라고 봅니다.
최소한 해당 메뉴에 대한 값을 받지 않는게 맞다고 생각합니다.

우리는 그리 유쾌하지 않았지만 서버에 대한 팁까지 충분히 놓고 나왔습니다.
이물질이 나온 사진을 찍어두긴 했지만 올리지는 않겠습니다.
평점도 제가 경험한 불쾌한 해프닝은 포함시키지 않고 별 4개를 드렸습니다.
단순한 실수라고 생각하기 때문에 그렇고 제가 기분 나쁘기 때문에 감정적으로 평가하고 싶지 않기 때문입니다.

앞으로 이런 일이 일어나면 안 되겠지만 다시 일어 난다면 좀 더 솔직하게 손님들을 대해 주시고 그에 대한 보상을 좀 더 확실하게 해주면 좋겠습니다.

My little gem. We love this place. Mediterranean food. I’ve had the Med salad and the 2 skewers entree(beef and chicken). So delish. I def recommend to check it out! Plus, they promote sustainably sourced and no antibiotics!!

We ordered the Vegan Vegetable Linguine and the Falafel Platter and they were both delicious!🤌🏾🔥🔥 Plenty of veggies in the pasta and best falafel we have had! We paid $30 in total for our food, huge portions. Definitely coming back!!

First time there on recommendation from my 11 year old granddaughter on her Birthday. Plenty of room inside and outside. Parking is limited, first come first serve due to other local restaurants. Portions of food were good, nice variety, flavorful. My wife and family really enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and service, will be coming back soon.

Friends invited us here for dinner. Very busy on a Sunday evening, but for eight of us it was only about twenty minutes wait. Excellent food, generous servings, and friendly staff. Lots of parking, indoor and outdoor seating, on Imperial at the 57 freeway. They do not take reservations but will seat you when half of your party is there. There is also one in Anaheim. Enjoy.

I can only speak for take out not dine in. DO NOT ORDER TAKE OUT FROM THIS LOCATION. So normally I wouldn’t waste time writing a review for a small error. However, this time, the attitude of the staff was completely out of line. I placed a very large order the night before. I went to pick it up after calling them to make sure it’ll be ready a bit earlier than the planned time. They said it’s fine.

I get there and a gentleman in the white asks me the name on the order and hands me a bag. He repeats the order to me. I confirm a second time, and ask “is everything in the bag” he says “yup everything is there and your salad is at the top the shelf” I said great, took the bag and the salad and accepted his words. On the way home they call my sister who placed the order for me and say “that guy who picked up the order just walked out without getting the other trays” now, mind you, the gentleman didn’t say anything about other trays and there was no other trays near the salad. I would’ve taken them and had no reason not to.

This is where it gets crazy. I come back and tell the manager what happened then some server in black says he served me and told me to get the trays and now there’s 3 new trays under where the salad was. I said no it wasn’t you but the manager didn’t believe me or say a word. No offer to check the cameras. No accepting of responsibility. No apology. They just say a miscommunication happened. The guy in the black kept blaming me and I’d never met him before.

I realized these guys are trying to gaslight me after placing a half a grand order. I realized they don’t want to improve their service or take any responsibility and told them I’ll never be back. No apology no help, nothing. All I wanted was something like “sorry sir, we didn’t realize it, we didn’t mean to blame you, we’ll do out best to never have it happen again” but no. They aren’t capable of good service. I’ll never be back, as I told them while they can that blank stare on their faces. I still can’t believe it.

We came here to celebrate Father’s Day and the manager Allison made our group of 9 wait for 2 hours and kept saying she didn’t have space for us yet. First she said our wait was supposed to be one hour, but 2 hours passed and nothing the manager said our group was big and couldn’t sit us . We told her that she should’ve said that sense we got there. She was really rude to us and said that she was not sure when she was gonna be able to accommodated us. I’m usually a costumer from Panini that is located at Santa Ana I never thought this place at brea was bad. I feel discriminated by this person ( Allison).

Limited seating inside the restaurant and some patio seating. It is more of a take-out, but I prefer eating at the restaurant and having the food served hot. Bigger portions when eating there as well.

I ordered the lamp kabab ‘RARE’ but when I opened and ate the lamp kabab at home. It’s not RARE. It was ‘WELL-DONE’…. At least it had to be ‘MEDIUM’. I could not eat this cuz It’s not soft enough to chew.... even RARE is not available they should’ve told me when I ordered it. And one of staffs called me , she said i needed to go there again.. (what!? Who wants to go there? … I don’t live near ‘Brea area’ . so I don’t want to waste my time. And then I asked her delivery or anther way . But they don’t have any way. Even though they gave me the wrong meat . Haha I will never this store. Worst ever experience .

This has been our second time to Panini Kabob Brea and I can say both times have been a great experience. The food and service are exceptional! Both times we had ordered the Family Kabob Combo for Four and honestly for the price and the amount of food, you cannot go wrong!

We will definitely be returning again in the very near future.

I can only write about my catering order experience. Sadly, most of us waited for over 2 hours AFTER our pick-up times to receive orders for Mother's Day, with hungry guests waiting for us at home. There were about 50 of us waiting outside for our orders. When we would ask how long it would take, we would get vague answers, so we weren't sure if we should just cancel our orders. The kitchen staff was hustling like crazy, but it still wasn't enough. And they were still serving customers who walked in to sit at their tables. I think their website should have capped the number of online orders. I ordered online a week early. Some people ordered that morning, and it was still taking orders and payment, though it was obviously too much for this restaurant to handle. Good food, bad pick-up experience. We didn't even get a discount or compensation for the inconvenience.

I enjoy panini kabob grills all over southern CA, Great food, so good, not overpriced for what you get, this be is so busy, the servers were having a hard time keeping up.

The food was delicious 😋. I’ve tried almost every item. I recommend their combo chicken shish kabob with koobideh, flat iron steak and salmon. I recently tried their spaghetti which was delicious. The prices are reasonable.

Ordered family meal take out and found a plastic label melted in the food. I was promised a follow up call from corporate representative with no response. Isolated incident, with poor customer service.

Absolutely wonderful meal! We ate out on the patio and it was nicely warmed due to the rain. We had the ground sirloin and chicken kebab combo meal and it was DELICIOUS! Their tzatziki was just awesome, fresh and garlicky. Thanks for a great meal and service! We’ll be back soon!

PKB is great! We've ordered catering several times from multiple locations and decided to visit the Brea location that is closer to home.
I got the salmon kabob plate with avocado Romaine salad and wheat bulgur. Delicious!
Hubby went with beef kabobs with basmati rice and Greek salad. The kids ordered the butter bow tie pasta. We were all happy campers and happy with our food choices. Food is consistently delicious.
We stopped by on a Friday evening, waited about 20 minutes to be seated. On a cold evening we were lucky to be seated inside, but there were heaters outside which would have been ok too.
Server was friendly and attentive.

Love this place, the food is always delicious. I often order to go with the family meals and it is always enough for about 5-7 people. I recently had a day date with my little girl and we sat outside, I had the chicken skewer plate with double rice and my daughter had the kids chicken meal.

Today I had the KOOBIDEH KA-BOX and this is the second day I order from Panini Kabob and it didn't disappoint. I love their food, it's so tasty, well cooked, just simply great.

I am extremely disappointed in this establishment. There is something wrong because every time we order delivery there is an issue. This time we ordered foo and they did not send us what we ordered. We may have to just order from somewhere else.

Beef koobideh was not the same as other Panini locations. It seemed they add chicken to their beef and that's why the color is different. Salmon kabob and chicken shish kabob was ok.

I am Persian and me and my wife have been to this place good few time. We compare this place with some of the high quality food restaurant. Have no doubt this place offers high quality food with very good service for a very reasonable price.Try it I am sure it will be one of the place for eating good quality food. Combo dishes my favorite.
