We enjoyed celebrating our granddaughter's birthday here. It's large, clean and they have 5 or 6 games for the kids. The salad bar was well stocked and the pizza was delicious. We had a room for ourselves but if you want to use it for an event it's best to reserve it. The service was fast and friendly 👍

This place has such awful reviews! I was very reluctant to go here but came and did a quick walkthrough to ensure decency before deciding to stay to dine for thr Bunch of Lunch from 11-2pm. It wasn't too busy just 2 or 3 parties dining. Yes, it is a bit grimy but not that bad if you wipe down your seat and tables before sitting. We used napkins to handle the buffet bar tongs for safety. It was easy to get new plates for the buffet. The food was brought out regularly and quite fresh. Fried chicken was piping hot! The juices flying once you cut into it with a fork and as you tear each chunk of meat, steam is oozing out of it! Super hot, fresh, and juicy!! The food was good!! Stick to the fried chicken, pizza, and mojos. I'd come back.

Ate quick and scrammed to avoid the prime time lunch crowd. Some things to remember is, don't go when it's a full house or nearing it basically go early and use napkins to use the buffet tongs or bring your own serving gloves. Must adjust expectations. I didn't expect service and you shouldn't either you'll just be disappointed. Service here is the bare bare minimum so don't get mad if you don't get much love back. This kind of buffet is simple self-service and quick lunch. Enjoy your visit if you decide to give it a go!

Two summers ago I was taken advantage of by this Shakeys pizza, so I kindly ask them to make it right or I will ask people not to eat here anymore. I am Kristi and own Kristi Kleans and was subcontacted to clean for a week and also do a deep clean of the whole kitchen and back area. Which is a week of work for 2 people, plus supplies and products. I was never paid by anyone, NEVER PAID $3200.00 I’m out and I can not afford this and don’t know who to contact the manager there will not help me at all. When he said I did a great job at

The people in the back forgot our order. They only cared about the bunch n lunch buffet. The kid working the register was so kind and helpful. I felt bad for him taking the heat for the bad workers in the back. The food was decent. What they are famous for pizza, mojos, chicken. Salad lettuce needs to be upgraded to a spring mix.

I wanted to get some lunch in brea . Decided to go to Shakeys Pizza Parlor on Brea and lambert.
It was a good decision. It was not too crowded. The place was very clean and organized. Paid for the bunch of lunch buffet . Grabbed some slices went to the table . Went to get some soda , uug, no Dr.Pepper. I got some Pepsi and went back to the table . The pizza was very good . I had pepperoni pizza , sausage pizza , Hawaiian pizza . All the pizzas were medium/thick crust . Not the normal thin buffet crust .
The only problem I had was I took my soda to go. I hadn't tasted it yet . I did when I was in my car and it was horrible. It tasted like it came through a olf PVC hose . Other than that it was a pleasant experience. I would recommend them .

I'm a big shakeys fan but this one almost ruined it for me. The pizza was below average and i love their pizza. The chicken and mojos were good but couldn't believe the pizza was bad.

The AC was not working and we had to sit there and eat while sweating. It was a birthday party so I went to my car multiple times to use the AC in there to cool off. It was bad.

The service was phenomenal!

We went right after rush hour. It was quite and we got to play a game without interruption.

The older gentleman that helped us out was amazing right from the start. I enjoyed that he kept switching between spanish and english with us and made the experience enjoyable. He helped us decide what packet to order for the amount of people we had with us. He was very pleasant and made this outing fun. The food was good. Came out promptly and was delicious.

Placed an online order. Called to let them know I needed to cancel the order due to my car not starting. The guy who answered took my information down and said his boss would call me back to help issue me the refund. Never got a call back and was charged the full amount for something I never even picked up. On top of having car problems and not being able to retrieve the food, this made my night a lot more frustrating.

Met some friends on a Saturday for lunch. The food was delicious! The pizza and mojos were always being replenished. The restaurant was extremely clean. The owner was kind and courteous. I definitely recommend this Shakey’s. I’m gonna be back for sure.

Shakey's is a childhood favorite. Long before I knew pizza crust came in different thicknesses, I dined, reveled, and looked forward to Shakey's thin, crispy, crunchy crust with sausage & onions or pepperoni & mushrooms. Hmm... Comfort food. Why thin crust? You can savor and delight in the toppings. The thin crust becomes more of a conveyer for sauce, cheese, and toppings. Enjoy!

When fried chicken and Mojo potatoes were added to the menu, no finer repast was made for a ten year old with pizza, chicken, and Mojos (PCM).

The price of Shakey's buffet is well worth it if you concentrate on PCM and perhaps have a salad and some fruit. Recently, I observed a fried chicken fast-food restaurant charging $14.00 for three pieces of fried chicken, a tiny side dish, a biscuit, and a small to medium soft drink. Shakey's allows for additional helpings, plus several sides like Mac & Cheese, mash potatoes & gravy, cut corn, pasta & red sauce, and a salad bar, to name a few offerings.

If you want quality crispy fried chicken, well seasoned Mojo potato slices, and thin crust pizza so you can taste the toppings, Shakey's is your place.

Worst pizza buffet I have ever had.
There's more cheese on a peanut butter and jelly sandwich than this pizza. Fried chicken over cooked. Salad mostly hard white pieces.

It took over 3 decades to try shakys. I am a potato fanatic and their Mojo potatoes are great! Pizza was good too - the crust was thick enough to support the slice which I appreciate, but not so thick as to overwhelm one's bite with bread. They were liberal with the toppings.
My only wish is that they were more environmentally conscious - we ate at the restaurant and were given disposable cups, plates, and dipping containers.

What I appreciate most about this place is the cleanliness of the restroom. Although, there's papers on the floor, the entire restroom wasn't smelly at all. And it was well-stocked. Pizza was just ok. The chicken was delicious as usual. The salad bar didn't have enough variety. All in all, I would give this place a 3.5

I had a meet and greet the candidate event there. It was great! The owner and the workers were helpful and amazing. A nice place to do business with!

I went there for an event. Ordere my PCM meal and a soda. Although there was only one associate helping the manager he worked diligently- from helping in the kitchen to ringing up orders, cleaning tables and stocking up the salad bar. His name is Aaron. He tried to keep the place spic and span and was very respectful to the patrons. Will definitely recommend this place!

If I could have read it this a minus five I would have. After coming all the way from the Pismo Beach area and wanting to try Shakey's here, we lost ours at Arroyo grande several years ago, I was greeted with that you can't bring dogs in here. I told the man that both the dogs were service animals he said it didn't matter California didn't allow dogs in restaurants and that they could not come in. The only thing that could come in were service animals?! Stated again that both dogs were service animals one was wearing a jacket and the other had his tags on he did not want to hear it he told me I could not come in and that I needed to leave. I did and went to the one in La Habra and was treated with such respect and dignity and given the best food I've had in a long time especially the fried chicken. I wish people would understand the proper way of addressing people who walk in with dogs. Yes I know a lot of people are lying about their dogs being service animals however the law says you cannot ask any for the questions and that I have the right to have my dog with me anywhere I go. Mine just happened to be legitimate but people think because they're so small there's nothing they could actually do but they do and they do a very good job of it. La Brea I went ahead and called corporate had to leave a message don't know if I'll ever hear from them or not but we'll see. I still got my Shakey's fixed down the road

We ordered the rustic garlic chicken pizza with just 1 substitution: tomatoes instead of chicken. Instead, we got an alfredo pizza with tomatoes as the only topping (no mushrooms, no cilantro) and they still charged us the full price of this "classic pizza" which ended up being over $26 for a single large.

The pizza and chicken here are pretty bomb. I do take issue with the arcade which is mostly claw games where the prize automatically drops off when the claw reaches the top with a hard 'bump' A little pricey but the kids loved it.

Family and I went to shakeys on 4/7/22 for dinner. Very disappointed with 2 employees I've seen there. The 1st employee was the front person who was a young guy with curly super short purpleish hair that was taking orders. 1st he refilled the salad at the salad bar & pieces of salad that fell to the side of the bar, he picked it up with bare hands NO gloves in place in with the salad. Then he goes back the register grabs a napkin and wipes off the crumbs from a 4"pan then puts the dirty pan back at the salad bar. Wasn't washed, rinsed and sanitized. Then in between he never bothered to wash his hands and still no gloves after he has been back and forth from register, salad bar and somewhat cleaning up tables. Now 30 mins has passed by, he serves an alcohol beverage to a costumer in a to go cup without charging him and costumer left the resturant. Now the last final observations from this young employee, he cleans off the tables after a small group of party has left, with gloves ON and still taking costumer's order and grabbing cups with the dirty gloves on from wiping off tables.. 2nd employee is an older lady from kitchen, would clean up the salad bar and covers the toppings and also bring out the orders and place them under hot lamps which none of them were on and also as well she wasn't wearing gloves as you should especially if you have hot pink nail polish on your nails. My family would NOT ever go back to this facility. Paid our order $90. 37 to which is NOT worth ANYMORE. Our chicken and mojos were double fried and we didnt want to ask to please redo our order fresh due to employee's DIDNT use safety protocol.

This place is ran by a very nice gentleman who doesn’t seem to be able to keep up with a busy lunch rush. I’ve been here 2 times and it always takes more than adequate time for hot and fresh food to be replenished at the Buffet. When it does arrive, it is good and hot.

Completely disappointed with the service, pizza, and price. We ordered 2 larger, a small basket of chicken, and 2 drinks for $67 dollars. It took over an hour to get our food and the got our order wrong. Instead of making a new pizza or refunding us any portion they just put the topping that was missing and warmed it up. Not to mention the customer service was awful. Our friends came to join and asked how long it is they person responded, “we have a lot of orders.” Needless to say our friends left and went somewhere else. For the cost it is not worth it as the pizzas are not made fresh. Save your money.

My first time I just stop for quick bite so I just ordered 2 piece chicken which I love no one has chicken that good .so they didn't have ready so girl at the from told me to take is from buffet so there was no breast so I ask the girl she is going to take around 20 minutes so If i want i can take 2 pieces for breast so i got 1 wing and leg and thai she gave me few slice of potatoes. It was really good .they are really nice not like lahabra location .i highly recommend this place

Walked in around 11:10-11:15 Stood at the register for about 10 min until someone notice me. Then the guy walks up to the register doesn’t greet me or ask if I needed any help he just stood there looking at me. I made a comment saying umm ok. Then he finally ask how can I help you. Upset about the way they are serving the alcohol beverages. How can I not share a pitcher with my own family. It cost me four times as much to treat everyone in my family. Everything was served like if it was carryout. Even though they let us dine in. It was a nephews birth day and no arcades. But yet they still let us sit there and dine in.....???mmmm

This was the first time in about 40 years that I was in a Shakey's. The Pizza was very good. It was the first time I had their chicken and mojo potatoes. Good stuff!

Took a while to get our food. Asked the pizza to be cooked well down(make those pepperoni's crispy!) and it looked it was just cooked like regular. 2 out of 8 pieces of chicken had flavor. Only serving small beer sizes at the tall size cups price.

Very expensive, for thin pizza's, its took me 25 minutes to finally talk to some one, call a different shakey to get information,
