At Fiery Crab, we tailor your experience and provide all the vibes for your function needs. Serving Cajun Seafood made to be shared amongst friends, family, and more! Providing a unique, fun experience, our style of serving is exceptionally great for large groups. We hope to see you soon!
Casual, family-friendly seafood chain restaurant next to Lazy Dog Restaurant - Fiery Crab opened recently and replaced Islands. They are located in a small lot across from the Brea Mall, right off the 57. Seating is available via bar, standard tables, and booths. Decor and furnishings are a little unique - they've got some black and blue, club-like lights mixed with a nautical theme with their very own Jack Sparrow statue! They also offer a fair amount of parking via the shared plaza lot.
We came on Saturday for a late lunch and this place was empty. Food and service were alright and portions were large. It's seafood so prices were on the higher end.
Overall, everything was OK but we weren't blown away.

I recently visited Fiery Crab on a busy Sunday afternoon, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is lively and fun, with ocean-themed decor that gives off a playful fisherman and pirate vibe. The restaurant is spotless and modern, making it perfect for families and kids—definitely a great place to bring the whole crew.
The star of the show is, of course, the seafood! Fiery Crab brings the bold flavors of New Orleans to life with its Cajun, Creole, and soul food-inspired seafood boils. If you’re familiar with places like Boiling Crab, you’ll feel right at home. The menu is extensive, but our server did an excellent job walking us through it and explaining the different flavors and spice levels available. The service was prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable—definitely a highlight of the visit.
I tried the fried catfish, oysters, sweet potato fries, and crab, and everything was absolutely delicious. The food was fresh, flavorful, and seasoned perfectly. The variety of spices and sauces allows you to customize your meal to your liking, whether you want something mild or extra spicy.
Fiery Crab also offers plenty of weekly and daily specials, which makes it easy to try something new without breaking the bank. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and portions you get. Overall, this is a casual, family-friendly spot that delivers great food, a fun environment, and excellent service. I’ll definitely be back!

Went on a Sunday afternoon and was scared this place would be packed. We walked right in and our drinks were at our table within minutes. Ordered the lb of shrimp and snow crabs. We ordered another pound of shrimp while still eating our first order. There was so much food we didn't even get to the other lb of shrimp. Then to our surprise they brought us out a free dessert, we were so full but felt obliged to at least eat some. Food was great and would definitely return!! 10/10

Went here on a Wednesday afternoon and ordered the family feast. It was so delicious! Their fiery sauce is not one to mess with and their seafood is top tier. Definitely will be coming back soon, tastes better than boiling crab in my opinion! BTW: beignets are superior here, large serving too! Order if you're willing to eat a mountain of powdered sugar 😋😋

The only thing that was good was the Cajun fries, I got crawfish which was undercooked and had a very fishy nasty taste, even just the tail. Clams some were fully shut(undercooked) and even if they were open tasted super fishy. Got dungeonous crab which I didn’t order and no black mussels which I did order, the shrimp was very tough and over cooked and even the crab was over cooked and was falling apart. Nothing was cooked right and still paid full price when I told my complaints.

This was our first time, but it won't be the last. From the hostess to out server, very professional and welcoming. The service was fast and the food was good. Food was cook well. Not overcook nor under cook. The season was on point. Husband had medium I had hot. It was perfect.

They've spent a lot of money on the place and it looks great. It was extremely slow and empty compared to the Lazy Dog next door. The service was very good and the food wasn't bad. The plastic containers for sauces were a bit tacky and definitely not environmentally friendly if you're bothered by that. Overall, it wasn't bad, but I doubt I'd go back.

If you are into fresh seafood - namely live-cooked crawfish, crab and shrimp, and you like cajun-louisiana-style flavors, this is the destination. We tried them all today, Mother's day. The dishes are perfectly spiced and portioned. The servers were attentive, and the menu carried lots of options all reasonably priced. We'll be back!!!

The portions were pretty large, with little cajun flavor. The service was okay but the waitress didn't tie up her hair and when she leaned over the table her hair would hover just above my plate. One person in our group didn't get his meal until we all had finished eating and had to get it to go, even with us reminding the wait staff. Nice atmosphere but not my cup of Cajun.

Had the fried catfish I believe and it was for sure frozen.
Everything was pretty mediocre and I had diarrhea right after I ate this.
I would not trust the seafood here!!!

My husband LOVES seafood. Went in to try it out and very impressed. I rate the food a 4 because I don't LOVE seafood and they didn't have many other options but what I had was delicious and we had great service. It's got a fun vibe. Definitely need to try it out if you like seafood. They have non spicy options also

Food was absolutely delicious!!!! Great service and food came out fairly quickly so me and my husband didn't have to wait long even on a busy day. Employees have such a great positive attitude and are super helpful. When my husband called to check pricing the employee was so kind and reasonable. Everything to food to service to atmosphere just keeps bringing us back and we absolutely love it!

Just left Fiery Crab and let me tell you, it exceeded all my expectations! My husband had been raving about it, and I’m so glad we finally went. It’s the perfect place to celebrate anything – birthdays, graduations, you name it.

Fire! Just fire! Large portions served with appetizers, drinks and main courses! We ordered two appetizers at a very reasonable price. We were surprised at the quantity in each order. Almost couldn't finish them. Then we each ordered fried shrimp baskets! Wow! Really large fried shrimp! Crab salad that comes with basket was also amazing! Pro tip... Skip the three separate French fry choices and order the Fried Rice! Yes! You heard me.... Fried Rice! I would go back just to eat that side!
Wish I had taken photos for you guys. Next time!
My wife and I both ordered an appetizer and a basket and our bill was under $40.00.
We'll be back soon!!!

My family had a birthday party for my mother who turned the big 95 years old. Oh my goodness. I'm a bougie seafood eater and being for the new Orleans. This place was lit. I didn't eat all my food so I took it home for the next day and the aroma that came from the box. Well I don't eat cold fries but I can't stop. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 so I called the Fiery Crab and spoke with the owner David and express how happy I was with the meal and how Matt was excellent guy. I'll be back in my Schwarzenegger voice.

Wow !!! Best birthday dinner ever! This place is fantastic! As soon as you walk in the decor is gorgeous and fun! The hostess Tatiana and Fatima are upbeat and friendly! Great energy! Our server Sammy was being trained by Abraham and they both were so attentive and kind and it was Sammy’s first night and we were her first customers!! She did so great and was so happy to have my birthday there and another great thing they have is a sink to wash your hands before you leave… we got the family platter for $113 and it was so good and so worth the price great flavor and extra butter and lemons are available if you ask … we will be back !!

I gave an overall 3 stars for the customer service which was exceptional. I ordered a small boil just to taste the flavor of the boil. I have family from Louisiana and this doesn’t get close to southern style. I ordered the fiery special sauce Hot. The amount of sauce barely covers the seafood, it is extremely salty with no thickness. The alcoholic drinks taste very watered down. I really wanted to like this place. I think they may need to add a few things to make the sauce better if they want to keep it around. The restaurant is nice but I won’t be back unless they make changes to the sauce

Fiery Crab did a really nice redesign on the Islands. The gumbo was delicious full of shrimp, crab and sausage. I had the grilled flounder, shrimp combo with fried rice and broccoli. Delicious. And for dessert, a generous portion of beneigts, so delicious. Can't wait to go back.

Last time we went will be our last. The oysters we ordered were horrible and the shell had been cracked into every one it seemed. The spider crab we ordered had something wrong with it and we got sick after. We had to wait about 20 minutes just to get a drink order in which was weird because the place was not busy. Very disappointed after the first 2 times that were great. This was really bad and my gf left very upset about how bad the service was.

I walked in with my friend. I looked at the atmosphere of coastal sea vibes with a nice tiled counter and floors. Our server came up and we immediately got seated. The tables had a cloth that was paper like so that the actual table wouldn't get dirty, Which was a very smart idea, due to it being a seafood restaurant. I looked at the shark hanging from a ceiling. A statue of Jack sparrow. And all the other trinkets of ocean vibes. Pretty pretty good. I look at the menu and spit a variety of shellfish and seafood to choose from.. which is outstanding because I like to try new things. I got a blue crab bucket which had four small blue crabs with great flavor, with a side of corn, sausage, and baseball sized cut in half potatoes..... I mean what else do you need besides some napkins and a drink. I enjoy the nice seasoning on my meal and my friend enjoys his. We ask to order desert. The only desert there which were beignets. Now I've had beignets before, but none like these. These are the holy Grail for beignets fans. They're hot, fresh, nice and not greasy. They're covered in mountains of powdered sugar. Nice. I literally was speechless. I finished them with my friend, he had the same reaction I had. I asked for the bill and looked at it with a jaw open. I literally couldn't believe how great of a price it was for two people plus dessert. I was thinking to myself (this is impossible!) I was so shocked I gave them a very nice tip in return .I thanked them and used their very fancy restroom and left in bliss. I will be returning to the fiery crab soon, hungry for more.

I got takeout it was super quick like 15 minutes, I got fried pickles, poe boys, and shrimp, noodles and sausage, corn, potatoes and a kids popcorn shrimp and fries. everything was really good they throw everything in one bag. Which made everything catch great flavors . The price was honestly the best in OC the noodles and appetizers and shrimp were literally under priced which I've never said. But it literally made my day . I wasn't to sure about the description of the sauces because there was 2 that really didn't say what they were. But I chose them anyways and it came out tasting awesome. There mild is actually mild where my kid could try it out. And still hold great flavor. Also the Poe boys were fried brussel sprouts which was weird but still real good. This is my new to go place in Brea for Cajun food.
