It’s a place. A kitchen. A bar. A menu. A vibe. Griffin’s Kitchen and Bar is the manifestation of a hospitality vision years in the making, where class meets comfort, pairing a chef-driven kitchen with an “urban-upscale” casual dining and bar experience. It’s a fusion of flavors across a multicultural menu of comfort favorites, chef signatures, and innovative creations. It also represents one of Southern California’s top collections of fine Alta Baja Region spirits and wines, sourced from experience, with a full range of popular cocktails delivered by expert mixologists and polished tableside servers.
Griffin's in Downtown Brea should be talked about a lot more.
The owner greeted me, shook my hand, staff is friendly, food is delicious.
They pay attention to details, from the utensils to the good looking staff.
Lauren R was very prompt, sweet and guided me through the menu
I got even got a seat in the patio to accommodate my puppy.
Nothing on the menu is your type dish. The chef puts own twist on the classics so it's not boring.

I am so happy that I walked into Griffins!
I decided to sit at the bar and had such a great experience with Lauren.
She was engaging and took great care of us!
I got a Kale salad with the Hanger steak and it was prepared perfectly!!!!!
I can’t wait to come back and try more.
Excited for this place.

I was so impressed with this brand new restaurant. The service, value and taste were all impeccable. A lot of places you can tell are chasing the “vibe/scene”, willing to serve you mediocre food and charge exorbitant prices. Griffins is none of the above. I got the clear sense that their true mission is to serve unique and best tasting food at a great value. Bravo Griffin!
Everything we ordered was excellent, but here are a few stand outs : Carrots & Beets, Meat balls & the Cowboy Steak (better than most steakhouses).
I was so impressed I had to share with all my family & friends. I sent a dear friend and her husband in to celebrate his birthday. They had a great time too and were able to spend some time with the owner Robert. Such an amazing host! Thank you Robert & Team!!! Southern California needs more like you!

Sara, our server was prompt and gracious. Their menu has unique items. Sara’s description of each dish helped us choose exactly what we would enjoy. My Hanger steak was tender and cooked a perfect medium rare. We ended up sharing all our selections and had leftovers to happily take home. We plan to return here often!

Griffin's in Brea is such a great spot! I tried the gnocchi carbonara and the Blackberry Cake, and both were seriously delicious. The gnocchi was soft and coated in a creamy, flavorful sauce that hit the spot. The Blackberry Cake was the perfect way to end the meal—super moist and packed with fresh blackberry goodness. The vibe is really chill, and the food feels both comforting and a little fancy. Definitely a place I’d go back to!

Just came home from this place right now... The chef is young and ambitious with a very solid palette for flavors, which we were pleasantly surprised when it came to using fish sauce on oxtails because of its pungent, strong nature. I do worry because usually chefs that talented won't stay that long, and I expect this of most places we've ate at at where they weren't a part or full owner because as with any career -- growth is expected. I would definitely recommend everyone try it sooner than later. The menu may have not been centralized around any particular cuisine at the moment, albeit a bit scattered, it was still highly enjoyable and we were told it can shift every three months to keep ingredients fresh. So still a respectful nod to the chef as she explores her abilities to create these menus. The servers and bartender really knew the menu well and that's very appreciated. She tried to let the owner know we actually enjoyed it but he passed over us and didn't comment or acknowledge and that is ok because appreciate the bartender's recommendations and time especially since I did come to review this place.
For me, the food was there, the rest is getting there. Actual ambience and interior doesn't quite yet fit the level of the food, there is a lack of cohesion, but it can get there with time and work. It's a bit confusing going in as the hostess/host table is outside but if no one is there you have to go in and figure it out from there. It's split off so it feels that there are two separate places initially but it's being re-worked from its previous bones. Bathrooms, that one killed me, it reminded me of living in NYC with its dive bars and being abroad, if the food is high on that level, the bathrooms and funky smell can't be questionable at best.
Otherwise, amongst those 3 factors - it's a great start... I really hope it stays.

Amazing food, excellent service and wonderful atmosphere. Went with a party of 6 and we had drinks, appetizers, dinner and dessert and not one of us had a single complaint or anything negative to say. All of our minds were blown and absolutely everything we had was way above expectations. My new favorite place to recommend to all.

Fantastic. Every bite is delicious and imaginative. This is the best meal I have had in a long time. Chef Gabby is brilliant. The service and ambiance are exactly what one looks for in the perfect dining experience. CRUDO! Ribeye, meatballs, salad, oxtail and cocktails were all suburb. You just cannot go wrong.

Get the ribeye- it’s amazing- better than some high end steak houses I’ve been to, and tastier than dry aged steaks I’ve made at home- and is big enough to share. Brussel sprouts were awesome. Super staff- very personable and welcoming. Will recommend to anyone and plan to be back

We had an amazing time at Griffin's Restaurant—it’s one of those places that just gets everything right. From the moment we walked in, the cozy, welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home. The staff were friendly and genuinely attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed without being intrusive. The food is phenomenal—a brilliant fusion of innovative and classic dishes, each prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. There is currently no other restaurant like Griffin's in Downtown Brea. If you’re looking for a memorable experience with a great gourmet meal and a relaxed vibe, Griffin's is definitely worth a visit! Shout out to Robert Griffin and the Clase Azul tequila served there—you know why! Lol. Thanks, Robert, for sharing your vision with all of us, and thank you, Chef Gomez, for sharing your culinary passion and unique take on classic dishes. The flavors of the meals and desserts took me back to my childhood, but with a delightful twist. We're so lucky to have Griffin's in our city!

Came in with some friends when they first opened and had a great dinner. We started with the Carne Apache and Meatballs and both were fantastic. I had the ribeye for dinner and it was perfect with the chimichurri. The bar area looked really cool and the spicy margaritas were some of the best I’ve had. Great place to go before a show at the Improv, we will be back
