When I was a kid, my family and I would eat here all the time since the food was always great and the staff was always friendly. Nine years ago, I moved away for college, and tonight, for the first time since then, my parents and I came back for dinner. The food was even better than I remembered and the staff members were still incredibly kind. Thank you Pho Tay Bac for being a beloved neighborhood staple for all of these years!

The pho was very delicious and it is more cheaper than most other pho restaurants. The lady that served us was very nice. However, the place is a little worn down but had plenty of parking outside. I definitely recommend this place and if I am around that area again, I definitely would go back.

The Pho itself is great, I am no Pho expert but this one was pretty good!!! the rest of the food is also delicious. We ordered the barbecue pork and flavor was fantastic. Prices are good too & they serve very fast

10/10/2023 = 4 Star = Costumer service is always good here , but notice meat are not much , minus 1 star for now and will try to visit again soon .

1/6/19 = 5 star = same rating , always have a good costumer service , add new picture .

12/14/19 = 5 star = The best pho in the area , price a bit high but not bad , took a picture on the menu , costumer service is good too .

The Bahn Mi bread was a bit dry. The spring rolls were really very good. Going to have to try the Pho next time

Pretty good place! Nothing amazing or out of the ordinary. Actually the egg rolls were pretty small. 😩 Wah. The pho itself tasted good 🍜 . And good portion of beef and noodles. Service was good. Had a big group.

I was eating a bowl of noodles here and when I was almost done eating, I found a dead fly. The fly was hiding in the noodles so I kept eating until I found it. The cup smelled. The hygiene here is the worst. When I told the staff about it, the manager didn't even apologize to me.

Great simple Vietnamese place. The food is always excellent, and pretty reasonably priced. Their BBQ sandwiches are a good cheap option, and the Pho is amazing. A wonderful neighborhood restaurant.

I've had pho at many places, and this was not a great experience. I was really hungry and in the area, so I read all the reviews and decided to try it. The staff was very friendly. I got my food to go. It was very salty. It didn't have the flavor of a great tasting broth. The broth was salty with no depth. The meat was not pleasant. The few little pieces that I got. I'm going to stick to my usual place, Bone and Broth.

This is a restaurant I would frequent when I lived in the area. Veggie Pho is my personal favorite. I would usually order a BBQ chicken, or pork sandwich to go with it and a spring roll platter.
Lemonade is freshly squeezed and super refreshing. I haven't been in years but I took advantage that I was in the area a couple days ago. Food is just as delicious as I remember which shows their consistency! 😋
Highly recommend this restaurant if you have the hankering for some hot 🔥 Pho.

The pho was ok. It's not the worst, but not the best. Very salty, and the veggies in my pho ga tasted old.
The beef pho was ok as well
However the homemade dumplings were light and tasty.

Ive been to several Pho restaurants in the area, but this place has the best Phos. Interior isn't fancy, but it's clean. The owner, and the employees are really nice too.

I have been going to this spot for the last 7 years. I am usually on a low carb diet. So I typically order Pho soup, NO NOODLES exta steak and extra onion!! No carbs doesnt mean no flavor!! I compare every Pho spot I go to to this place!! Its a small shop but there food is always hot and ready!! I call ahead and when I get there my table is ready with my drink and condiments as I walk in. I always feel so welcome. They get my food out fast. The broth is a light brown and is always packed with flavor. I will always come back here. Best PHO EVER!! The BBQ Pork on the side is amazing. I have not found another sport with this flavor. The egg rolls are always hot and crunchy.

This is the best Vietnamese restaurant in North OC. I am fortunate to live in Brea and eat here almost weekly. Nothing cures a hangover better than rare steak pho add meatball!

My mom had been hospitalized the last 2 weeks. My dad has never had food from Pho Tay Bac before and tonight was a first for him. He had the M1: Pan Fried noodle with veggies and steak. His smile is massive and he agrees the food is delicious! For his brief happiness, I will always love Pho Tay Bac.

I just ordered from this restaurant for the first time and it definitely will not be the last.

I ordered a small pho with bbq chicken and meatballs
Small pho with rare steak and brisket
An order of egg rolls
Thai tea

Every single item was delicious. The broth tasted amazing, all of the meat was flavorful and good quality meat. The egg rolls were delicious and the Thai tea was perfection.

I cannot wait to eat their food again.

This unnoticeable family run place in a small strip mall in brea is our go to place for pho and other vietnamese dishes. Though the owners are Korean, the food is pure authentic vietnamese. Their noodles are perfectly chewy and savory, while their broth is just perfect in taste and seasoning. Their meats are just perfectly done and of good quality. Their combo appetizer plate is perfect as it comes with 2 egg rolls, 2 shrimp spring rolls and 2 BBQ pork spring rolls. I like their house special pho with extra tendon. My kids like their BBQ as well as the fried rice dishes.

Uh...NO! Not the right flavor AT ALL! Will not be coming back. Non 'authentic' flavors likely due to ownership. Please improve your pho, bun thit nuong, and goi cuon....the fish sauce was wrong, the peanut sauce was wrong, and the chili was not the right one. Sorry for the negative review, but I must be honest!

Such a lovely neighborhood pho shop. The price per bowl of pho is very very very reasonably good. The young girl and young guy working there are super nice. We came here for dinner twice, once take-out, once dine-in. Both experiences were awesome. Let's support our neighborhood business !
