Staff was attentive and in good spirits. Waiter was knowledgeable attentive and nice, (apologies for forgetting your name... must have been the cocktails LOL). We were not in a hurry, and he didn't rush us which was really REALLY nice. Took a piece of pumpkin pie cheesecake for dessert with caramel and whipped cream home cuz we were full. Again very generous portion size , couldn't eat it all brought some of everything home. I only have two suggestions, one the mashed potatoes need to be a little bit softer and creamier but the flavor was good, and the sole, which was a little heavy on the panko, and in reality doesn't need it at all.. it did need more sauce, which needed more lemon and capers in it but the flavor was good the way it was, just needed more. I would like to do four and a half stars but it doesn't give me an option so I'm doing four for the food. Brought a beautiful scoop of vanilla ice cream with a candle in it for the birthday boy it was good ice cream. We will definitely be back. It was an extremely pleasant experience all the way around!💝

A very comfortable bar and grill with many booths and options for small or large parties. The food was done well and the bar has a complete selection of alcohol. The wait staff was obviously busy taking care of the customers. A bit pricey in the end and certainly not a place for quick eating, but a great place for a relaxing meal with friends or family.

Cozy atmosphere and good service. We came during happy hour and had the Grilled Pear Salad (seasoned grilled pears | spiced pecans | arcadian field greens | crumbled bleu cheese | raspberry vinaigrette seared pear salad) and Artichoke Heart & Gruyere Dip (chopped artichoke hearts | gruyere cheese | parmesan | mozzarella | fire-roasted red pepper relish | crostinis which was delicious! We ordered the Pasta Piacere (fusilli pasta | gorgonzola sauce | petite filet mignon | sun dried tomatoes | gorgonzola crumble | drizzle of balsamic glaze) and the Parmesan Lemon Sole (wild dover sole | asiago | panko | lemon | fried capers | lemon butter | corn cilantro mashed potatoes | seasonal vegetables) which was ok, a little heavy on the panko, which is why I only gave 4 stars. We have eaten here several times and the food and service is always fantastic.

The best experience of the evening. We were looking for great atmosphere, service, food and ambience. No disappointment here!! Our waiter Julian was the best. He made great suggestions and was very knowledgeable about the menu. Happy Hour choices were plentiful and well priced for the serving’s. Apps were on point and served quickly after placing our order. The main dish - everything from the steak to the pasta was served hot(steaming) with so much flavor. But the desserts were a great way to end our evening. Yes, you might pay a little more in price but it’s all well worth it. I will be returning..

Can not state how different the food quality was from Smith’s. I don’t understand the reviews. Everything we got off the menu was sub optimal.

Did the happy hour thing. Chicken strips were worse than fast food ones, pretzel bun on a burger wasn’t a pretzel and the tri tip pieces? That wasn’t the same recipe. Tasted like a grocery store frozen food version of the one from Smith’s.

Service was good, though the restaurant is dark. Hardly any windows. Weird vibe with claustrophobic booths. The menus were just confusing. Four different menus. Winter menu, happy hour menu, drink menu….and regular menu. How many menus do you need?

Worth the extra time to just go to Smiths. If it wasn’t on the napkins I would not believe they’re related.

We have been going there about 3 years and 3 times a week, only sit in the bar area. Plus we leave big big tips. I took a few friends there around 5pm was placing our order with the Bartender Bret, a waitress was yelling at him from across the bar. So I told her that was rude we are trying to place our order. We did eat and left. We went bk the following week no problems. Then we went back with my friends a council member and we sat at the high table, some very young girl came up to me and t said I'm the new Manager, told me I have to leave cuz i was rude to the waitress, I tried to explain that was not true, she had a smirk on her face, but never the less we left. We seen the bartender and he would not look at us. Too bad they lost good customers, & none of my friends go there now because of this, so now we all go to VIc's Steward and are very HAPPY. Our whole group meet at Vic's. It's sad the Zephyr would allow a young girl to control their business. The only good think about Zephys is Julian one of the Bartenders, he lost out on good tips, due too Bret and some waitress and young Manager PEACE

A fixture in downtown Brentwood, this is regarded as the best restaurant in the immediate area.
Cocktails are well made but I thought $15 for Belvedere vs. $8.50 for Titos was a strange differential.
Everyone in the group enjoyed the short ribs dish along with the side dish of cream corn with jalapenos. I had the sole over mashed potatoes and mine was overcooked and went uneaten. The seafood chowder cup was tasty however, and a bowl would be almost a complete meal.
The atmosphere is quiet enough for private conversation and a booth is recommended if one is looking for privacy.

this is funny: my husband eats a lot so he asked for 19$ ravioli with vegetables on the side, they brought him a plate with 7 tiny ravioli. 7 (we counted) 7!!!!!!!! so we asked the waiter- hey can we get a couple more ravioli?. they said yes, then proceeded to bring him a whole new plate of ravioli with twice as much ravioli as the first one AND CHARGED us 38$ for the two plates of ravioli. also my niece’s nuggets were burnt .

It was my first time here, so I can't really give a just review. I saw there menu online and saw a.few reviews from other people. I saw a couple of dishes and said I want to try the place. Assuming I was going to have those dishes I saw. Didn't now there menu changes often. So I had the pear salad and a salmon dish over rice, which was good.
The reception walking in was nice and the waitress after talking to her was a +really good. (Like I said my first time there). She was/is really knowledgeable and more about there menu. I'll will visit this restaurant again. So far it's worth a try.

Came at dinner time and food choices were great. Their meatloaf is really good not too dry and the sauce made it all the better. Their drink menu also featured numerous option from wine and beer to cocktails. Overall really good restaurant with great food and service.

Fast and friendly service. I had the Short Rib Benedict, a small portion size for the price! It was tasty enough but, l don't think that I would order it again.

After not being attended properly or served by a waiter after a long time of asking various employees for a waiter, they were asked to leave the premises for being there too long. Keep in mind there was no line for tables. When that happened a table of “white customers” announced their happiness because in their words the table was; ‘being loud, speaking Spanish and being gay and therefore “ruining their bday’!???” The manager showed no compassion, and did nothing to alleviate the situation and make a customer feel welcomed after another costumer was being not only discriminatory but also being homophobic! Shame on you Zephyr. Work on being more inclusive to ALL PEOPLE!!

Zephyr's is always delicious, sadly they're a little under staffed to handle the Saturday lunch crowd but it seems most restaurants are like this. We were seated to an un-clean table, and service was very slow, but I don't blame the servers because they need more help. Food never disappoints, just pack your patience and be kind!

Waitress was very forgetful and slow, had to ask for everything. Carrot cake was old and awful. First time bad svc Wow found old review this time wasnt much better. Waiter was rude. Didnt offer drink refills. Had to send meal back 3 times to get it right. Delay in getting meal resulted in staying longer. We were asked to leave. Said we stayed too long. Rude!!! My friends food was cold.

On a busy Saturday night, the Zephyr staff did not skip a beat and made us feel attended to. We had some interesting dishes, including the crab tower, sea food chowder, grilled pear salad, potato wrapped halibut, chocolate decadence. We were seated in a booth, which made our dinner date intimate, in the otherwise crowded restaurant. We've been here before and will come again.

I hadn’t been to Zephyrs in a while. The last time we came here the food and service was excellent for the value. We have gone to their sister restaurant Smith Landing and have always enjoyed the food and service. Unfortunately when we went there last night we got neither. Food nor service. The service was extremely slow. We had to ask for bread and what we got was cold. I ordered the surf and turf. The filet had no taste. It was as if a piece of meat was taken out and tossed on the grill with no seasoning. My buddy had baby back ribs and he said it was not moist and neither was my other buddies halibut. The popcorn shrimp appetizer was barely warm. We were all very disappointed considering how pricey these items were. I will give this place a shot again considering that we have had good experiences previously at both Zephyrs and Smiths Landing. But unfortunately last night was not one of those days.

So I took my wife here just to try it out will be coming back only because the food is good and the staff was very nice. We sat by the window it was really nice weather and we just wanted to enjoy a lunch date together. The food was great drinks were happy hour it was nice but for some reason we had a gang full of flies just flying in and around the window not just one but a few we had originally sat at a different table because of this but they were just everywhere. We endure it and hopefully they take care of that issue because we are coming back great food.

This is a very good small family restaurant. They have a full size bar.. With a full y menu and specialty drinks. They have a lot of appetizers and they have a select fish sandwich and pasta and steak menu. Which is really delicious. I ordered burger And fries and they were crispy. I had the shrimp pasta and that was very good with a very hint of spice. Even tried their mashed potatoes with new york steak and that was delicious also cooked it to perfection as I ordered.

We've heard about this place for years, but never came because from the outside looking in it like like it would be too pricey.

After oral surgery has us searching for places with soups, we chose Zephyr for the Seafood Chowder. It was amazing!! So was the bread with homemade butters.

Craziest of all, it ended up being cheaper than our other lunch-date go-to! But best of all, the service was amazing -- the manager José (Joe-zay) came by to pick up plates and thank us, and we didn't even realize that was him! He also gave us a complimentary appetizer card for a future visit -- slick!

We had a party of 4 and reservations. We were seated as soon as we arrived. From the moment we walked in the service was exceptional. Each individual was polite, attentive, answered our questions, and appeared to truly care about making our experience enjoyable. From our drinks, to the appetizers, to our meals, all were handled promptly, and were excellent. We tried the halibut, braised ribs, sole and pasta. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and the food was all delicious! Our experience was definitely 5 star from beginning to end. We will be back for another great experience and amazing meal.

We took my mom and son here for a nice dinner, on Saturday. It's autism awareness month so we chose the dinner for two where 50% goes to the charity. Food was delicious and the wine was nice. Great value for a great cause. The short ribs were so tender. The filet mignon was perfect and so juicy. Over all a pleasant dinning experience.

The food presentation (3 stars) and timing of the service (3 stars) wasn't what I expected from this establishment. The crab tower seemed a bit misleading for $18. There were more vegetables than crab meat. Service & atmosphere were great.

Twice now me and my wife have had the privilege of getting a server named Zachary. He is very good at his craft and has all the potential in the world to be successful in every endeavor he puts his mind to. Respectful, good timing, cares about his customers and their experience. Thank you Zach. The food is always good. Whether your looking for seafood or a good steak this place won't upset. The apps are awesome and have tried almost all of them now. Drinks are competitive during happy hour and they have a good wine list and corkage fee that supports the area. When we were there the last time there were a couple guys that were a little too loud with the cursing and profanity and maybe needed to be cut off sooner. To no fault of the restaurant it made the experience a little odd at first but when it's time to be seated away from the bar the atmosphere is lovely. Hats off to all the crew and the cooks. Management should step up when people get unruly in the establishment...sometimes people wanna bring their kids....overall a great spot if you want high class food where the classless unfortunately spend their patronage

Only 3 shrimp in the 28 dollar jambalaya well.....Here's the problem. My water came with a 1 inch hair in it. The server then brought me a second water with a long straight 12 inch hair in it. I don't think it was coincidence. I chose not to request a third glass of water. I finished my wine and dinner and vacated this primitive environment where servers obviously could benefit from customer service and cultural sensitivity training. If you don't like being a server, get a different job.

I really enjoyed my fillet, but they brought it out cooked rarer that I ordered it. My wife ordered the vegetarian pasta and thought it was really bad, but we both agreed that the cheesecake was really good.

I've been going to this restaurant for 4 years, on and off. I watched the menu dwindling from fresh cooking, duck, lamb to just flat top/ deep fried. The price of the food does not match the value, quality, taste, or portion size. The dover sole was only crust, the Cajun penne paste tasted like salt. I started walking to Burger King but I realized they were closed! I would rate this a zero!

Relaying all the missteps by this place would take too much time. Host/Greeter: Excellent. Food: You may or may not get all the ingredients that are listed on the menu. Not much is fresh. Unfortunate. At these prices you'd think they were #1 in Brentwood. I hate to do it but don't waste your money.

A unique place with great ambiance. They were short on wait staff, but nonetheless the waiter we had did his best managing so many tables. Some of the must try include the Coconut Shrimp, and fried asparagus. but the one we ranked our least favorite was the crab dip. The burger and the steak was cooked spot on, and some of the best; but the meatloaf was dried and brittle; we couldn't quite make out the sauce profile.

Mixed experience!

5⭐️for our server, ambiance, front end staff
Our server was the bright shining star out of our entire late-lunch experience on a Sunday.

3⭐️for food
Food was a hit or miss.
Grilled pear salad was excellent, but it arrived only upon a reminder after the rest of the meal was served.
Short-ribs with mashed potatoes was excellent, but they made a complete hash of the penne pasta with Cajun shrimp. The sauce used for penne was overpowering, and IMHO it would have been better to keep that sauce limited to the shrimps only.
Appetizer of tenderloin tips missed the mark in terms of overdoing things, with too much sauce and greasy toasts.

0⭐️ for restroom facilities
Restrooms were not clean, and more seriously, there was no hand soap, seat covers and toilet paper. Front staff may have taken care of at least part of that after being informed.

The gluten-free chocolate dessert was AMAZING 👏 Very large portion as well. Got there early enough for happy hour. Worth it if you are ok with well drinks, but good selection of wine and bubbly too. They must cater to an older crowd because the sides (veggies & mashed potatoes) were completely unseasoned and unsauced; bland and dry. I can do that at home... The short ribs were very tender though.

Great food in a classy setting. Love their drinks but wish they didn’t use pinnacle brand vodka in their martinis. Or at least offer other options on the menu w the upgrade cost if applicable. Also the happy hour is a good bargain.

Good service and great prices during the daytime happy hour. However, my chicken sandwich was rather tragic, with a thin patty and a third of the bun left empty. I think a $2 McDonald's chicken sandwich has more meat in it. My family left full and satisfied while I was left hungry. It's too bad, because the french fries are perfectly done and drinks are acceptably mixed.

I had the Chicken Marsala and it was great. The portion size was a tad small though. I loved the interior and the background music. The service was friendly and relatively quick. The downtown area surrounding the restaurant is very nice as well. Highly recommend.

Wonderful time at the Zephyr! The food was fabulous and deserves 5 stars, but the service deserves 6 stars. Our server, Linda was charming and knowledgeable. She answered all of our questions regarding the menu, with a smile. Erica came by our table to personally make sure our experience was unforgettable. We will definitely return, again and again.

This place was recommended to me by a coworker; drove 40 minutes to get there; HUGE disappointment. Food was less than lukewarm when it arrived and the waiter took it back to microwave it for me. The food was probably made hours ago and just reheated, hence the cold mashed potatoes and vegetables. My friends’ ribs were also lukewarm and tasted old. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Zephyrs Bar and Grill is casual and yet one can dress for a celebration!. Been there only once but the vibe was somewhat vintage with tufted high back tufted booths You have your privacy and yet you can enjoy who you're with. The food is marvelous. Cocktail hour starts before 2 p.m. and therefore you can relax with their discount prices. An array of hors d'oeuvres to follow. Zephyrs is wheelchair accessible and definitely be prepared to wear a mask and proof of inoculations will be checked. Enjoy!

We had Xmas eve dinner there and it was nice. Daughters dinner was beef medallions with blue cheese and delicious. Mine was beef strogonauf and all brown with little brown chunks of mushroom and beef...not very appetizing. Drinks were great!

First time here in 3-4 months. Never thought Zephyr was a great restaurant. Now it is not even good. Eggs Benedict off the brunch menu came with cold potatoes. The eggs were not cooked as requested and the English muffin was barely toasted at all. If you don't toast an English muffin it is virtually inedible. Lemon sole off the regular menu was okay. Vegtables it came with it were raw. Large chunks of carrot and something else that couldn't be sawed through easily. Service was abysmal. Waiter rushed us to order. After delivering the food he was not seen again. It was not particularly busy. Had to go to the hostees stand to ask for our check. We won't be back anytime soon.

I've eaten here as a local before and was excited to bring someone here after making a reservation through their online system.

I am aware of the local mask mandate but there was no disclaimer or notice telling me that every member of our party would need to require proof of vaccination. This would have allowed me to book somewhere else instead of being told I need to produce proof to eat here in the restaurant.

Masks being worn by everyone is not enough here and when that's the case, update reservation system so people can plan around if you're going to implement your own rules outside of county or state requirements.

I won't be coming back and luckily even though we had to wait 20 minutes, found seating at another place and had a nice dinner last night also in Brentwood at a offers to restaurant.

Unfortunately, Zephyr Grill, once quite good, has devolved significantly post-pandemic. Food now average, at best; service, from non-engaged staff & managment, barely mediocre. Too many other quality choices, in town, that successfully worked hard to return to pre-pandemic levels of excellence-food & service- to ever come back here.

Took my family there and had a wonderful dinner.
The staff was amazing and the manager was attentive and fun.

I had the burger... To die for... But even if you just wanted to have appetizers... You will love the food, the space and the environment.

Where do I start. Appetizers came before our drinks. No refills on drinks the entire meal. Found a hair in not just one meal but two of our meals. Small and generic portions. Quality of food was poor. 4 of us and with tip a 200 dollar meal. Seriously would have enjoyed Red Robin more. Waitress seemed very new or didn't have a clue. Disappointed!!
