This place is going downhill fast and everyone is just holding on to the nostalgia of the place. Has seriously gone down hill the past few years. Higher prices, smaller portions, worse service. Used to be a fav of our family years ago but within the past few years you get a way better breakfast at any other Diner in town.

Definitely an amazing place to get breakfast and coffee and both was delicious and thanks y'all for serving me, also can't wait to come back and visit and enjoy something different next time.

The his place still holds the old world cafe charm. The food is really good and the service is excellent. You are made to feel welcome and are served well. The menu is pretty extensive and all the things we tried were great. There is ample parking as well so you don’t need to stress about street parking.

This place is such a wonderfully delightful restaurant in the heart of Brentwood's exceptionally cute downtown. There wasn't much of a wait, even when we showed up late in the morning. The staff were incredibly friendly, the service was amazing, and the food was wonderful. We will absolutely be coming back here many more time!

Old style country dinner. Food and service was great. Scramble was a large plate of food. You definitely won't go hungry.

Potatoes are my favorite food. They are good here. My hubby loved the omelet and hash browns. Opens at 5am. Even on Sunday! They have plenty of parking on both sides of the cafe. There is a closed in patio, but we ate inside at a chilly 6am. They have a super friendly atmosphere.

They have great breakfast options! I had their Italian scramble. It was a VERY GOOD and FULFILLING! They do close at 2pm, so this is definitely a breakfast, brunch and lunch place.

This was a cute little cafe right off the road. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but, inside it is neatly organized, clean, and the staff were super friendly. My wife and I just left from having breakfast at this place. For me to have a deluxe breakfast and for her to have a grilled chicken sandwich was around $41 between the both of us. The service was pretty fast and they kept us filled up on coffee and frequently checked in on us.

Portion sizes were pretty big too. Highly recommend this place if you're in the area and want to stop for a quick coffee, breakfast, or grab some lunch.

My last visit here was at least 35 years ago when meals here were a regular part of my life. I realize that pretty much has changed behind the scenes is different now and wasn't sure what to expect once my food arrived but the crowd and people waiting to be seated said a lot. I walked around a bit to reminisce a bit. Everything was the same but better. Lol if that makes sense. They have remained true to the spirit that has made that place so special while adding subtle improvements with simple decor. My breakfast was delicious! Truly! I ordered the California Eggs Benedict, I am very critical about hollandaise sauce and have only YUM to say about theirs. My son had the fluffiest pancakes and he said they were great. The service was fast and friendly. Perfect place to enjoy a small town favorite place.. I'll be back for sure..

The hostess was so rude!!! This was our first time going to Brentwood Cafe, we wanted to find a local business we enjoyed for weekly brunches. We went in to add our name to the list, and the hostess had such a bad attitude. We asked about the different areas of seating (again we've never been there before )we wanted to know if we could wait to be seated outside and she literally SLOWED down her words and told us "WE.....GO.....OFF....THE....LIST."
We were not asking to cut in line, in fact, we knew we would be waiting longer if we wanted to be seated outside. She had zero kindness and treated us like we were wasting her time, like we were an inconvenience for being there. We didn't stay and won't be going there again.

This place is becoming one of my regular brunch stops.... Chicken fried steak is my go to.... Very cool old school dinner. Blue collar menu done very well... The staff is fun and helpful. The place is welcoming. If this isn't one of your go tos then you're doing your Brentwood-ing wrong!

Cool little spot in Brentwood Ca. Reminded me of the move “top gun”. Not sure why but I love this breakfast haven establishment. Food is always on point. The staff is amazing they great my little one with such respect. The lady’s are always great.

Found my way here when doing a search on best breakfast in Brentwood - I was not disappointed! This place is Americana at it's finest with generous serving, great staff, horrible coffee, diner seating and and absolutely awesome food. If i'm ever back in this part of town I will be 100% going here.

The food was good. The service started off good, but after we ordered, it went downhill. The waitress apologized, saying she was super busy up front. It was difficult to get someone's attention to possibly see if we could even get our check, let alone a water refill or a straw. We may try again.

the parking lot was empty ready to close and some old guy said he was Mayor of Brentwood said i couldn't park in lot refused me to patronize this establishment , then he said he was the owner?

Brentwood Cafe is your go to neighborhood breakfast destination. Their breakfast options are plenty and delicious. Service is quick and friendly. Our waitress even took out time to provide some sightseeing advice for our Dutch friends visiting.

Only compliments at this old school diner/cafe! Stepping in reminded me of movies like "No Country for Old Men" and " The Big Lebowski." It has the charm to brighten up your day if you had a rough one, that's of course if you grew up in the 70's to 90's. In any case, service was efficient and attentive. Food was great as well. The corned beef hash was a hit and the hot sandwiches were good too! Will be back every year after picking cherries in Brentwood :)

I grew up in the area and used to love Brentwood cafe! Unfortunately I won’t be back. When we walked in, a lady waved us over, did not smile or anything so seemed aggressive, and put our name down. It took as 45 minutes to be seated, then another 45 just to get our food. The waitress never checked on us. She came by to take order, drop off check. Didn’t even say anything when dropping off the check. It was very busy, so maybe that’s why, but just seemed like we did not receive the same service as the other tables. The food itself was not very good. The potatoes were burnt, the French toast was not sweet and just tasted like eggs, bland eggs! The French toast was inedible in my book. Not to mention the prices are very high in comparison to other breakfast places in the area.

A long time funky favorite of Brentwood. The "Joe's Special " is my go to favorite, done as well as anywhere I've ever had it.
Colleen is the consumate server and request her every time...can NOT go wrong with any breakfast item.

We usually come here with others in town, but decided to try eating here for one of our lunch dates. Would have liked to see some lighter options available, but understand that's not their market. We enjoyed the food pretty well, and service was extremely friendly... didn't have to ask for drink refills a few times. Asked to move tables and the person clearing the tables didn't even look at us, but they weren't swamped so it didn't seem like a problem. Would return again with out-of-towners or perhaps a business lunch -- although it may be too loud to talk much in-depth business.

Ordered their California Eggs Benedict which was ok, country potatoes were ok, but looking at the historical photos of Brentwood was amazing!

Quaint rustic place with a lot of charm. Excellent service, great coffee. We had breakfast, portions are huge, food was fresh made and served hot. My only critique is a couple of minor cleanliness issues, but nothing major.

My favorite place to get breakfast in Brentwood! They open at 5am and close at 2pm. If you want to feel at grandmas house with good all American breakfast then this place is for you! Simple, no luxury, great service, delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Definitely recommend it!

My first time at Brentwood Cafe were we meet with friends to have a late Father's day breakfast, there was a line out door but our friends had arrived early & got a table. The Cafe was really busy and we had about a 45 minute wait on food.
The food was well worth the wait the portions were great and
the food was tasty and well-made, delicious.

The Brentwood Cafe was mostly pure patriotic full enjoyment, looking at our Ameican Heroes in the hallway entrance waiting lobby hall while waiting to be seated. They had pictures of youth sports teams stars from Brentwood area on the other wall too. The food was D-Licious. Very good plate from their regular breakfast menu. Liked it. Worthwhile.

Was on a 24 hour fast. Had traditional bfast eggs hashbrowns and link sausage. Besides tastelesz something caused immediate stomach gas and diarreah. Probably rancid grease.

Older place with quite a selection. A tent section is up for expansion. Impressive Large Pancakes with eggs and large Bacon all not burnt. The French dip sandwich has only a morsel of gristle, very clean. Impressive, I'll stop in again when that way.

Delicious! My brother ordered the chilly bowl with cedar, tasty and spicy! Hot link on the side topped it off! I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. It was juicy, fresh and loved the buttery bread.

This is the best place to go for breakfast in my opinion. Great service and the food is delicious. Nothing super fancy, just consistently good comfort food. The smoked pork chops and eggs special is one of my favorites though not on the regular menu so try it when it's available!

Meals were good, however I don't buy into the Scamdemic, and this restaurant is requiring proof of vaccine +I.D. I don't show I.D. to eat in a restaurant, so upon being asked to provide such we turned to leave, but then told we could be seated on the patio. The funniest part is they have you walk through the restaurant to get to the patio.
We had breakfast service wasn't the greatest, but overall they are nice and working through these troubled times.

Service was spectacular but food and wait time was an absolute let down. We had multiple issues with our meals. Steak ordered medium rare was well done. The artichoke feta omlette was cold and the egg was literally folded over canned artichoke quarters with feta crumbles on top. All of the "breakfast potatoes" were inconsistenly cut, so some were perfect, some were burnt and some weren't cooked through.
We were served (party of 5) after 2 other parties had been seated after us. (A party of 4 and a party of 3).
We won't be back.
But our server was VERY sweet and brought our hungry children who been waiting over 45 minutes a fruit plate at no charge.

I have worked at this place when i was in high school. It has changed owners but the food is still great and you will never leave hungry. Plus the staff is amazing

Went for lunch, and had the chili burger. Food was excellent, service was fantastic. Good place for families, although probably best to avoid peak times if your in a larger group of than say, more than six people (call ahead!) This place has a strong local following and can get fairly busy especially on weekends for breakfast and lunch!
