Myself & my Husband Barney & I love this place, they have the very Best Bartenders, in all of Brentwood. We always go at 4pm just to get a sit at the bar, only because for these two Bartenders. We bing all our friends and have the best Drinks Wine & Food. Vic's is 5 start Bar & Food. Even the Service if you sit at a table in the bar area is 5 star, its like a very happy family. The management here runs a great ship. I've notice the Bartenders know every customer and what they eat and drink. Talk about 100% Service this is the place. They may need to expand their bar area, sometimes waiting room only, everyone wants to be in the bar area. And the restaurant area is 5 star, so beautiful & relaxing service is the best. Thumb up to Vic's Stewards !!!

I like the food, and I’ve been here twice in 2 months, and I’ve asked for a corona because it’s on the menu, for them to come back and say we have updated the menu and we don’t carry corona more, 2 months later and it’s still there … really …. The waiters/waitress didn’t even know what gluten free was we had to educate them. 🤦‍♂️

Very good service. Enjoy sitting in the lounge area as the ambiance is nice and relaxing. The food is great with generous portions, however is a bit pricey and one of the dishes someone had from our party (lobster pasta) ended up w stomach ache. Also don’t recommend the salad because they’re way too expensive for the portion sizes.

* UPDATE: summer 2024 - AC doesn’t work. The management does NOTHING! And pay normal prices for everything? *

I stopped in for coctails and an appetizer. The bartender was very friendly and efficient. I ordered the sliders, which came with fries. The fries were crisp, but were of the shoestring variety, which is okay. I prefer fries with a little more substance, however. The two sliders looked good (a little too much iceberg lettuce for me). Unfortunately, both patties were overcooked and very dry. There was literally no juice in the meat or on my plate after taking a bite. Good thing there was some ketchup to dip them in. I believe the dish was $18. That seems like a lot for two dry sliders. I would not recommend them.

I've passed by this place numerous times and finally made it a point to stop in. Service here IS exceptional and I'd return for that aspect alone. The food, whilst a touch pricey, is VERY good yet the menu did had some...interesting combinations. Almost as if they out thought themselves at times. However, the fact that they have 49er club offerings suggests to me, a refined and enlightened dining establishment whereby you may (and i DID) lord this over Raider fans at work or home. Very petty I'm aware but, a must nonetheless.
I don't drink and I'm in recovery for cancer so nonalcoholic beverages were more than enough for me. Never knew they was "PREMIUM" root beer but...there is and...they HAD it, good stuff. In fact, in my opinion this place is centered around the wine and beverages even more than the steak. If you want to treated to a wide wide range of choices then, this is definitely the place.

Our starter was Seared Ahi Tuna with pickled seaweed salad, ginger and wasabi, which was sumptuous. We shared a caesar salad, served in wonderful flatware. Our entree's were Filet Mignon with Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes and Porterhouse with a blue cheese crust with Scalloped potatoes. Our side with Mushroom Caps with blue cheese crumbles. Everything was delicious. Service was attentive and friendly.

I’ve been going here the last 10+ years and it’s always a great experience. The service is always top tier, the food incredible, and the atmosphere elegant. I’ve only had the steak and prime rib here so I can vouch for those items. Whether it’s the porterhouse or ribeye you are getting, it will be outstanding. As for the prime rib, it’s good. It’s no House of Prime Rib but there’s nothing else out there like that besides the House of Prime Rib. Highly recommended overall.

I pass this place all the time, and would always forget to go to this place whenever I got the urge for a good steak. A friend of mine recommended this place. I was very underwhelmed with this place. First when I walked in we had to wait to be seated, I originally assumed because the place was busy is why we needed to wait. When they finally seated us there was maybe three other occupied tables in the ENTIRE restaurant, so I didn't understand the purpose of us having to wait for a table, I was a little irritated with that. Eric our waiter was the highlight of this visit, he was very pleasant and knowledgeable. I knew that this place was a little pricey, which I don't have a problem paying if the food is exceptional. Unfortunately the food here is NOT, my GARLIC mashed potatoes had NO garlic and tasted old, my steak was good, but nothing that you couldn't get at your average Outback or Black Angus steakhouse. I had to pay extra just to get some broccoli with my meal. This place is pretty mediocre, nothing on the menu stands out as "OMG I gotta get me some Vic Stewart." I tried it, it's done, I will never go again. Sorry

Excellent service and delicious food. We took a client here for dinner and I was not disappointed. Wide variety of menu items (heavy on the meat, but my client got Mahi Mahi and he said it was fantastic. Flourless chocolate cake was sinfully good. Ample parking, clean restrooms, tv's in the bar area tuned to sports and no steps to various areas of the restaurant. The only thing that might be an issue is noise. The main dining area has a very high ceiling and uncarpeted floors. We were there on a weeknight so not a lot of diners but I imagine it could get loud in there on a busy weekend night. Those with hearing issues could have problems keeping up with conversations.

A few friends and I visited here for one of my birthday celebrations. We wanted to dress up, have a nice dinner while staying close to home. There aren't that many fine dining experiences on our side of town so I thought we would try them out. I don't eat steak but looking over the menu prior to booking the reservation I felt they had enough choices for me to enjoy the meal. The restaurant's ambiance is great. It's a little dark and moody in the dining room with wonderful light installations to set the mood.

Our server was attentive and efficient. We shared the roasted garlic for an appetizer and I had the lobster bisque and the wedge salad. I would have preferred the food had a little more seasoning but my friends enjoyed their salads so everyone was happy. We ordered the flourless chocolate cake with ice cream and the cheesecake for dessert to end the evening on a sweet note.

I give up! 2 years ago we left a google review on how bad the service is, with the waiters are overwhelmed.

We go back for Father's day and the service was awesome 👌 but me and my husband got food poisoning. We've both had bad stomach aches, nausea and dia#$%% . I didn't finish my prim rib 😫 because it didn't taste fresh and the Rue was watery and not seasoned a completely waste of $$ .

We live close and love this brand, we will not be coming back.

Please coach your chef on fresh food and handling of meat. Ughh so sad to leave this, 😞 we feel horrible. Literally symptoms started an hour after we got home. 😫 and didn't eat all day..

Review №152

Wow.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is that of only the finest dining establishments. You walk in, and you see a nicely furnished seating area, front desk, and staff that greet you happily, dont be fooled. There's a well-appointed wine room with glass windows to make the alcoholic geriatric golf cart connoisseur feel like their addiction is a hobby. You walk into a nice, dimly, but well lit dining area where western inspired decor adorns the walls. While the furniture is varied in every shade of... wood. Then you open a hearty simple menu with options that a restaurant of this caliber could only have mastered through decades of satisfied customers. You sit back and order an appetizer, maybe a drink. I ordered the calamari. Iced water, sourdough, and butter are on the table as we anticipate our master pieces are being assembled in the kitchen.

The calamari is served. As the calamari is placed in my mouth, it evaporates. The only thing left it the smell of seafood and dreams of what could have been. "Well, that's ok. It's a steak house, not a seafood restaurant, right?".... I'm beginning to panic. Our main course arrives, the scalloped potatoes are a clear example of why pictures of menu items are not a thing here. My steak looks cooked correctly, I think. The plate has enough steak sauce preapplied to drown an infant. I cut into it, take a bite, and realize that I've been had. The flavorless chewy meat that I haven't had since I was a child eating lean cuisine is in my mouth again. My dad going to get cigarettes never to return is flashing before my eyes. My wife, at this point, has started sobbing uncontrollably as memories rush back of food eaten through bleak hardships fill our minds. I'm writing this review from under a bridge, I'm not sure how one is supposed to recover from something so awful.

I'm not long for this world.
Existence is only pain.
Don't let my mistakes be your reality.

Really neat place and atmosphere. There are several different areas to eat in. We got to sit in a big beautiful booth, all to ourselves, just the 2 of us. It was the Owner's Booth. Went into to get steaks, but ended up ordering onion rings, lobster bisque, and the steak salad. Lobster bisque was a bad choice. Steak salad was great and so were the onion rings. Also had a fabulous drink--Pear Wrangler. Super amazing!!! They even gave us a chocolate mousse for husband's birthday dinner. We had a super nice server, but can't remember her name. Parking was easy and the place was clean. We went in around 530 or 6 on Saturday night and got seated right away.

Read this to understand the story first. Service was outstanding. Front of the house staff was on it! Kitchen had a few bad fillet outputs, not the waiters fault. Ordered medium rare and received purple rare. They attempted to fix twice with new fillets each time. Manager apologized and stated they were aware of the issue and addressing the matter. I appreciated her (Mgr) coming over and explaining what happened and completely zeroing out our entire bill. It wasn't about the money, moreso the service and level of professionalism. It was my wife's and I 22nd wedding anniversary. Will give them another shot in the future. I suggest you at least try if you have never been. Ambiance is amazing and staff if outstanding.

We went there to celebrate our son's 24th birthday (it's a place he has been wanting to try). We are self-proclaimed foodies and love to try new places. We made a reservation for 6 a few days before (recommended) and, upon arrival, we were seated promptly with a table already set up with water glasses already filled. I'd describe the ambience as lodge-like. Lots of wood and open space and a fire burning right in the middle of the room! I took a picture and posted it and several thought we were outside! The table was round (perfect for 6 people) which we prefer anyway. Sourdough bread came right away, warm, fresh, and delicious. Our waitress, Yony (sp?) was wonderful and attentive and patient with my slew of questions.
In regards to the food...IT WAS ALL AMAZING!! I was the only one that o have a lobster bisque added (everyone else just got entrees) and we ordered a broccoli and an asparagus for the table. Hands-down one of the best lobster bisques I have had! Prime rib and steaks were the primary orders but I got the catch of the day, which was halibut. Everyone loved their meals (and we all shared a bite or two with each other) except a few didn't like the mashed potatoes (I loved them, though). After the meal, our son was brought a special birthday dessert (chocolate mousse) and we enjoyed the evening very much, thanks to the staff at Vic Stewart's.

Went to Vic Stewart’s tonight thinking it was a cowboy restaurant steakhouse steak was the worst I’ve ever had in my life you can’t order the steak cooked normally they marinate it and someone godly rub so you end up with an orange steak
Any salad you order doesn’t have an option of dressing they dictate what goes on it
And the Caesar salad actually taste like buttermilk dressing with no croutons
The service was fine. The wine list was fine the desserts are fine but the cook is trying to turn A steakhouse into a yuppie restaurant
This is no longer considered a steakhouse
