I travel from Northern California and really look forward for a delicious breakfast at my most favorite restaurant, Broken Yolk Cafe. However, this particular Broken Yolk restaurant disappointed me because the omelet was really saggy and not well prepared. The French toast was similarly under cooked.

I got the sopes and coffe and i was so disappointed. Dishes are all scratched and ugly so presentation was trash. They forgot silverware. I got the sopes with the meat and it was beyond soggy and cold and to top it all off it was so over priced and wasent even good. Better off going to a mom and pop breakfast joint this place is just a instagram hype for tourist near knotts.

I came here for the first time on a Saturday around 10-30 am it was jammed packed ,the parking was a nightmare but it seemed that if it was packed maybe the wait would be worth it. But it wasent. I ordered an omelet with a side of toast and side of fruit. One order of pancakes and a coffee. My wife had a coffee and green sauce chilaquiles. My omelet was probably the worst most unflavorfull omelet ever the veggies were just as bad cut really tiny and old and dry and not a single grain of salt. The toast was good it was sourdough. The fruit however was not fresh and was not cleaned right it had skin of cantaloupe and pineapple and honeydew. The fruit was cut into massive lazy pieces that you could only hold with your bare hands. My wife said her chilaquiles were good and crispy so that was cool. But everything else was just a disappointment. The pancakes had to be returned as they were really dry and overcooked. Would not return. Didint take photos because I was not excited to to see the food arrive, it already looked bad.

This restaurant had a high rating so my family decided to try it out before a long day at Knotts Berry Farm. OMG, so glad we did. The boys had cinnamon roll pancakes and they loved them. They also ordered them two more times that same 3 day weekend. I had chilaquiles bowl with red sauce. Yummy. I also had Bettys Southern Biscuits and Gravy. This was ok, it taste sweet to me and not a fan of sweet biscuits. I also tried the Golden State Benedict and really like it. My whole family (11) was very impressed with the fabulous service that Mariela provided us. I cant say enough about this wonderful person. On our first trip to the restaurant Mariela was so engaging and funny. Her service was spot on. Our second visit was for a birthday breakfast for my 16 year old nephew who is autistic. She treated him with a birthday muffin and wished him a happy birthday. She was very mindful and patience of his needs. When he spilled his water she didnt roll her eyes, she just did want she needed to do. The family so appreciated her action and caring. Its not easy for families with special needs members to have a normal meal without getting looks from other customer and worse from a servicer. Not the case with Mariela. This location has a gem of an employee, I hope you treasure her. I will say all the employees were very nice and engaging but Mariela stood out as our servicer.

Review for The Broken Yolk Café, Buena Park I had the pleasure of visiting The Broken Yolk Café for breakfast two days in a row, and I can confidently say this is one of the best breakfast spots I ve been to. The quality of the food, service, and overall experience is truly top-notch. Both visits were absolutely 10/10. On the second day, my receipt reflects an order of The Mom (twice) and some delicious eggs benedict. The first day, my fiancée joined us, and we ordered the same items plus the sweet trio of French toast, which was phenomenal. Everything we tried was cooked to perfection, from the hollandaise sauce to the fluffy French toast. A special mention goes to Sergio, our server on both days. He was outstanding in every sense. His class, professionalism, and work ethic truly stood out, and even on a busy Labor Day weekend, Sergio handled everything with ease and a smile. It was clear that he is passionate about his job, and his attention to detail made our dining experience exceptional. If you re looking for a great breakfast place with excellent food, amazing service, and a relaxed atmosphere, I highly recommend The Broken Yolk Café. You won t be disappointed!

While my son and I were on our vacation in Southern California we stumbled across the broken yolk Cafe. There was a bit of a line when we first walked in to put our name on the list and see how long the wait would be when they said maybe 10 minutes. This place is phenomenal. Does not matter how long the line is, it moves very quickly. The service is fast the food is delicious and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and willing to help you with any decisions you might need to make. They have a nice variety of not just breakfast items but lunch and dinner as well. This place knows how to move a crowd. We were seated in less than 10 minutes, had a order placed in two after that and then we had our meal in less than 10 minutes after that. This place knows how to do it. You will not be disappointed except with the price. It is a little high.

We really had high expectations from here, and it started off great, but as soon as the food was delivered the service completely stopped. Empty drinks and hair in the scrambled eggs. We sat through the entire meal without the server even asking how our meal was. When he finally came to drop off the bill, I told him that we wanted the eggs removed from the bill and he said that it wasn t possible and he would bring our more. For $100 dollar breakfast for four, it should have been much better. First and last time eating here.

If youre looking for a great breakfast and wonderful service make sure to avoid this place. To start off we checked in at the host stand as instructed on Yelp and the hostess let us know we were set. Ten or so minutes pass and were still waiting no biggie, and another member of staff asks if we checked in. To which we let them know that we had checked in, she informed us that we hadnt been properly checked in but theyll get us seated. Small mishap but we hadnt waited for long so we didnt mind. Once we got seated is when problems arose. We had waited around 10 or so minutes to get our drink order in and at this point we were wondering if we were sat in a section with no server. A majority of us in this party work or have worked in food service so we understand mishaps happen. However a busser, whos name I wish we got, came by and offered to take our drink orders. He put the orders in and brought them back in a timely manner on top of doing his own job and let us know that he called our waitress so she could help us. Nearly 10 more minutes passed and we had finally been visted by our server. Once again I did not get her name but she was a blonde latina woman with eyeliner. We put our order in and tried to order an item wed been able to order in other locations, to which she informed us she wouldnt be able to do. Then when we added onto our order such as onions, we were not informed that this would be an added price. Our orders were put in and we waited and waited and waited...and by this point we were quite famished but nonetheless our food arrived not by who I assume was manager... Upon looking at everyones plate, almost everyone had something wrong with their orders. Sweet potatoe fries were burnt and dry. The Wild West Burger looked past burnt like it had been damned to hell, then pulled from the fiery abyss back onto this plate. The funny thing is I had asked for it Medium Well and to add on, it was missing the previously mentioned upcharged onions that at this point we didnt know was an upcharge. Another plate had come out dirty with some sorta chocolate and avocado-like stain on it when none of us ordered anything with said stain, the actual portion too was a smaller version then I was used to having at other locations. Our mimosas had lipstick stains to which none of us who were drinking had any on. This hadnt been noticed until after we had sipped said drink and the stain had been apparent through the transparent glass. The Sopes Benedict felt like the meat was less flavorful and just poorly cooked. It just felt less than appetizing. The chilaquiles came as much meat as youd see on Timothee Chalamet, and even then Id debate that he probably has more. Along with that the flavor felt odd as well. We have ordered this dish and others before so to have almost all of them fall flat was borderline astounding... Most of us wanted to send it back or have sides redone but over 10 minutes had passed and most of us bit the bullet and just decided to unhappily eat the food we had been given because the server hadnt check in with us. I assume the busser previously mentioned saw us and then checked in on us once again and brought the missing onions. After those 10 minutes, our server finally checked on us to see how our food was and we sent back and removed only one of the bad dishes due to how long it took for her to check on us. On average I noticed our server checked on other tables multiple time but only started to check on us once the bill arrived. The quality control is not up to par. We all had something we had wanted to say to our server about our food but it looks like she was checking on every table except ours so we were unable to do so. I do wish management would double check the items coming out to check for things like dirty cups and plates before it arrives. Im not one to complain or leave negative reviews but this experience was bad from start to finish.

What can I say? This place is 5 stars in my eyes. The service was on point... we had multiple people check on us, not just our server. The pineapple coconut Mimosa was one of the best Ive tasted, flavorful and just the right mix. My Tiki toast was absolutely delicious, Ive never had coconut on my French toast, but it all went so perfectly together..... it was just drizzled in caramel sauce and didnt even need syrup, just the right amount of sweet!! The Sopes Benedict (egg whites substituted for poached) was fresh, the meat so tender and flavorful, you couldnt have asked for a better Mexican breakfast dish, even though they have so many great dishes to choose from. We were lucky to spot this place on the way to our hotel! We stopped before heading to Knottsberry and were in and out within an hour, even though I would have liked to stay longer for another Mimosa or two!

Ill be honest I am not a huge breakfast person. My idea of breakfast is a cup of coffee. But when your fiancé is, you get a chance to explore some good breakfast spots. This place has about 38 locations and this is my first one and come to find out they have one a hour away and I traveled 3 hours to find this one LOL. Go figure. The design is very modern and a huge amount of space for parties of all sizes. From the outside you wouldnt think so. The staff is super friendly and attentive and the variety of dishes is pretty amazing to say the least. We had a breakfast sandwich, the pick 2 benedicts, which were the California and the chicken and waffle. For drinks we had a mimosa and and a Bloody Caesar. Everything was perfect and just the right amount of food. Cant wait to come back and try out some more.

No need to over exaggerate. I had such a good time with my service & server ( Megan ) last year, that latter when I returned, walked in and was greeted immediately by Megan with such a warm welcome! And she remembered me! ! Such a clean and well run restaurant & happy staff that I wish I had this in my neighborhood. I only wish the best things for this place and definitely recommend to anyone who even thinks about getting breakfast somewhere else dont think too hard come here! Ps, Megan deserves a wage raise just simply because she is who she is!! I stg Parking: Small lot shared with another row of business. But not so small you should have a problem. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes very accessible.

Came back again February 22 I had a great experience with server Gabriel. I come back today March 18 and manager Jonathan had brought up that I didn t pay for my family meal. But I did pay for everything else in CASH but the only thing I didn t pay for was the FRENCH TOAST I DID NOT EAT. So we just left Hopefully next time we come we get the other manager that s more involved in the restaurant that greats everyone and checks on every table.

We decided to order online from this restaurant instead of dining in, considering it may be busy for a Saturday morning. And sure it was with hardly any parking. Thankfully we snagged a spot to pickup the online order. The servers or host at the front were friendly and quick to help me with my order. When we opened our order we saw a very sad, cold meal. A Border Benedict that looked under whelmed in an oversized takeout container accompanied with a cup of wet black beans. The meal was unappetizing to view and was cold to the touch. Although the taste of the food was decent, I was disappointed to eat cold steak and eggs. The meal was so cold that my containers plastic lid didnt accumulate any condensation; had the meal been at any level of warmth. I dont think I would return. I thought my friends order would change my mind but her order was cold and unseasoned as well.

Big sized ice tea, Diet Pepsi and waters. Yummy looking cup of cappuccino! I ordered the mom omelette trying to be healthy. It s loaded with funny chopped red & green peppers, mushrooms and spinach s. Very filling fruit cup was terrible. The pineapple was hard & dry as well as the honeydew. Only edible pieces of fruit were cantaloupe and watermelon. Chilaquiles were ok. Chips were good but sauce was ehhhhh. Thought it came with beans and rice? Steak & eggs were good as well as the biscuits & gravy. Nice atmosphere, easy location. We d go back but try different items.

This gem of a breakfast place only had a wait of 20 minutes on a Sunday. The food was delicious. I ordered a sampler of two different eggs Benedict and my husband got the tiki French toast. Both were delicious, as was the almond milk latte I got. The employees seem to really work as a team, we had a main waitress but several people helped us and checked in on us. There was an issue with my order when they brought it out, but before I could even notice, the manager came out, took my plate, and fixed it. Really cant recommend this place enough. One of the best breakfast spots Ive been to.

This place is great. Service was excellent; zero wait time on a Saturday, our food was delicious, the atmosphere was welcoming and our server was so sweet. Their menu has tons of options and a great variety. Try the mimosa flight! It was tasty. If I m in the area again I would definitely come back. 10/10 recommend.

Tried this place out for the first time with my wife and child and I can honestly say this was the worst breakfast place we have ever eaten at. The chocolate chip pancakes were lazily put together and sprinkled with a couple of chocolate chips, no chocolate chips were actually cooked INSIDE of the pancakes. All the food lacked seasoning and salt. There was zero salt in the hash browns, meat, and fries. The eggs Benedict were overcooked with no runny yolks. French toast also had no flavor. The ground beef was basically dog food, cooked with water with no seasoning. My son s French fries were basically potato sticks, with no seasoning and freezing to the touch, and they forgot his beverage which came part with the meal . Only good things were 1) the sausage being cooked perfectly and 2) that I had a trash can to dump the ground beef dog food. Thankfully everything was cooked and not raw, but I had high expectations based on what friends had to say I m getting new friends from now on. Unfortunately we will not be coming back. Would not recommend.

We ate here before heading to Disneyland. I had the Tiki Toast and added eggs and sausage. The Tiki Toast was really good. I liked the atmosphere of the Cafe and the various posters of Snoopy hanging on the walls.

We made our reservation on Yelp at 10:15. Yes, we know its prime time. We arrived at 10:36 to check in, and we seated in less than a minute. We ordered a Greek omelet and a bacon omelet, which were both perfect. Our server, although she was slammed with tables, always made sure she checked in with a quick Ill be right with you. She was great. Thats all it takes.... recognition. Excellent service. I wish I had remembered her name. Parking: The parking lot is big but gets full fast. Its not ideal. It is one entry/exit lot and makes it difficult to get out. Just be patient. Its worth it.

The food was absolutely astonishing, and beautifully resonated with their combos that workers offered. The workers were very kind and respectful, and restored the true meaning of how waiters and waitresses should be in American Diners. I absolutely loved the amount of dedication and smiles the workers gave, and could tell that they are just doing their job perfectly. The atmosphere resonated with all of us who visited, and the overall environment was quite complimentary.

Went in on a week day morning and had a great experience. Good food and friendly staff. Big open space. The breakfast food was clean, did not have the greasy grilled look and taste. The biscuits and gravy had a lighter lemon flavor which was a nice twist to traditional. Poached eggs were awesome. Will definitely be back.

First of all this is not like the one in Fullerton it was really bad service number one it took forever to get service it took them at least 15-20 minutes to get us a cup of coffee the waitress wasnt that good of a waitress and I ordered pancakes when they brought the pancakes and they were chocolate chip pancakes the pancakes were cold and chocolate chips were poured on top there was no chocolate chips in the pancakes so I dont know how they call that chocolate chip pancakes they should just call it pancakes with chocolate chip topping but the pancakes were cold when they got to the table when I talk to the manager the manager act like there was nothing wrong but even a 4-year-old can make better chocolate chip pancakes than what they serve me I will not be going back if you can avoid it do not go there go to the one in Fullerton I promise you you will like that much better the reason they told me theyre not like the one in Fullerton is because their franchise and they do things different than the one in Fullerton which does not make sense usually franchise means you keep everything the same and two the way they have the parking lot you will not like it it look like it was a bank at first and then they switched it to the broken yolk overall it was very terrible service the parking was horrible do not go there go to the one in Fullerton believe me youll be thinking me for that one

The food was good, normal breakfast food. Eggs were cold. The service was TERRIBLE. Waiter was Brian. Asked for water three times and he never apologized for forgetting. Coffee was never refilled and they offer free refills. Never asked if the food was ok. We had a party of 6 so there was auto gratuity so he wasn t worried about giving any type of service. I am a server myself, I always tip on auto-grat.

Waiter was amazing he clocked in sat me and ended up being my waiter. He had a great personality and gave a good recommendation for food choice. The staff was nice, restaurant and, restroom was clean and smelled pleasant. Great upbeat music selection. My only complaint would be the food came out cool the portion size was nice and was tasty. This didn t affect my experience but that would be the one thing.

We were staying at Knotts and looking for a good breakfast, and this restaurant was perfect. The food is excellent with attention to detail. The place is big so we were seated immediately even though it was busy. They have a great Benedicts menu and lots of choices for healthier eaters, which we very much appreciated. We will definitely be back.

Super yummy breakfast food! We happened upon them after a long knight at Knotts and it was brunch on Saturday, but there was enough seating. Food came out quickly, they had fresh grapefruit juice and we liked it. The parking lot situation is not good, chaos. Very small lot. Not sure about alternatives. Overall great place to eat!
