Fantastic coffee shop. Great drinks and coffee beans and wonderful service.

We come here to buy bags of beans to make lattes at home. Our go-to is the medium roast and their decaf blend, both of which are delicious and often roasted only a day or so prior. Pro tip: when you buy a bag of coffee beans (~$25) you get a medium drink of your choice included. You can either get the drink on the spot or get a card to come and get the drink another time.

Our favorite drink here is their vanilla latte--Delicious hot or iced!

We got to try the espresso soft serve today (only available Fri-Sun) and it had great consistency with a beautiful presentation! This is a good choice for someone who wants dessert but doesn't want too much sugar. I think I'd enjoy it even more if it included their house made vanilla syrup (which could be another cool option), but definitely enjoyed trying it!

It's always busy but the baristas work efficiently to get drinks out on time.

This is a great coffee shop. Can get busy at times, which is a good sign. Lots of seating inside and out and plenty of parking. And the drink selection is off the chart. Great coffee and some real high end marchas. Recommend.

Stereoscope in Echo Park is my favorite coffee shop in LA, so I made a trip to Buena Park from Hollywood just to visit this OG location. I was not disappointed. The atmosphere and crowd are slightly different, more lively, more casual, but the essential experience feels the same: warm and attentive service, delicious and joyful coffee. My go-to drink is a cappuccino, and Stereoscope makes the most exciting cappuccino, always clean and bright, served in their signature ceramic cups.

I came back a couple of times and the shop is always packed with locals, students studying at the communal table, young couples on a date, or older folks chatting lively in the patio drenched in sunshine. The shop opens till 9pm and visiting it in the evening reminds me the fun foodie night life in Asia.

One thing that deserves a special mention is that this store has soft serves Friday to Sunday. There are usually two flavors: espresso and a seasonal flavor. I can't resist the urge to order both flavors when I visited Stereoscope on a hot summer day and I relished them both.

Stereoscope consistently roasts some of the highest quality coffee.

If you're about a high quality pour over, or espresso, then this is the place for you (this is their original location as far as I'm aware).

There's plenty of free parking with the giant lot and a decent amount of indoor seating.

The staff is friendly and seemingly shares a passion for both coffee and connecting with people.

Their quality even extends to the details of the restroom. They have Le Labo (high quality) soap and hand moisturizer for customers.

Even with the growth of their brand over the last few years, they've managed to keep their main thing the main thing - a quality coffee experience.

When ordering my classic cappuccino and pastry, they usually have two different espresso choices which is rare for coffee shops and ads delight to the experience. Outside of ordering a pour over or a Cap, I would recommend their Spanish Latte or Iced Matcha Tea (they have 3 high quality Matchas to choose from).

That being said, the atmosphere is a bit overly worn in and is in need of a refresh. The restroom is consistently a bit grungy as well as the outdoor seating and panels in the ceiling (beyond a patina vibe). I believe a little TLC on the atmosphere would take this location to the next level.

Definitely would recommend for the coffee and will be coming back when driving down to OC form LA.

Matcha latte was so good here because they use ceremonial grade matcha! I came here to study on a weekday but it was pretty crowded and can be loud. It seems like a popular cafe and may not be the best place to study if you wanted a more chill cafe vibe.

I cannot recommend this place enough. I live 30 minutes away but I always find myself making the drive over here because of how good the service is. I come for the matcha powder (which comes with a free drink). The staff are really kind and the strawberry matcha is delicious.

Cute little place in a strip mall! I really liked my espresso tonic and while there wasnt a ton of indoor seating (granted we went during the busy weekend hours), there was a bunch of shaded outdoor seating too!

Love coming to study at stereoscope. It does get busy so spots may be harder to come by, but its not hard to see why, as it has a great atmosphere. I really like spanish latte and the chai is among my favorites, especially as many cafes make chai too sweet, theirs is really fragrant with a subtle spice.

Placed an online order through DoorDash for a Spanish latte and a Madagascar Vanilla latte for me and my brother. It arrived promptly. The drinks were both tasty! It helped us start our day. The design of the packaging in the cups were nice. They held up pretty well throughout transit. I think the vanilla latte had more milk than the Spanish latte. My brother was a fan. Would love to stop by in person sometime. The pictures online look like a cool place to hang out.

Came in for a strawberry matcha latte with almond milk. It was overly sweet and the matcha flavor was non existent and that s that I paid extra for ceremonial grade matcha. I do have to say, I like the texture of the fresh strawberries. In addition, I was shocked my total came out to $10.25 for a latte! Sadly, I tossed it away.

Not hispanic friendly? I used to come here quite often and loved their coffee. Today, when I ordered my coffee, the cashier asked me to have my drink inside insinuating I might steal the ceramic cup or silverware! I saw on their IG account people have been doing that, but it was a weird interaction nonetheless. The place was busy, so I took a spot close to the cashier. I did not hear anyone else getting the same warning. Was I racially profiled because of my ethnicity? Am I welcomed here? I prefer to start my morning by not having to ask myself these questions. It is time to explore new roasters. Nice coffee for lighter skin pantone tones.

I really enjoyed my Spanish latte. My wife said it was the best latte she has had a good while. We will be back to try a pourover and buy some beans. Get the mocha, beat around. If you want something different go with the espresso tonic. They have some stereoscope branded fellow mugs that make great gifts too.

This review is for their Tung Ting dark roast. The tea was so bland that it tasted almost like water. 6.25 dollars for a cup of water. It is rip off. I can t believe this place s review is so high. I am a tea person and like to try teas from different places. The tea is the worst tea I ever tasted in Souther California. I attached the photo of the tea. You can judge for yourself. Is it tea or water? I would choose Orobae, Comebuy tea or Chicha Sanchen for real tea.

A popular coffee shop often busy with customers. Have outside patio tables and chairs facing Beach Blvd. Maybe hard to find parking nearby when other stores will open later as it is being remodelled. Coffee tastes fresh and sour and mild coffee.

I usually go to the Newport Beach location and when I heard they were opening a new shop I knew I had to check it out. I like how spacious the Hollywood location is. LA is a totally different vibe compared to Newport and it s nice to experience something different. If it s your first time, make sure you try their vanilla latte! This place is nice and coffee is good but outdoor seating, there are some smokers. Right at the entrance.. however, business did not do any action regarding. Came here a few times and I can say it has gotten better every time I came here- Coffee tastes great- Service is nice. Atmosphere is not the best but good enough- I also appreciate how the staff asked about the kids that was very kind of them. Everything was good except the bathroom, my wife said it was extremely unclean- Parking is relatively easy- Yes, I will come here more often if it was closer to my home.

This place was so good! Tried the Ujigawa Matcha Latte (Iced and hot) and it was so SMOOTH. Had a very vibrant flavor and was lightly sweetened with some honey. Also tried the Yuzu ice cream which was so refreshing! I would probably try it next time with some matcha on top! The staff was very welcoming and took the time to answer our questions about menu items. Overall really liked this place; will definitely be back!

Didn t realize I ve never reviewed this place but I ve been coming here since 2015! The coffee is always great and the teas are absolutely the best I ve ever had! If you re looking for a caffeine alternative from coffee, I d suggest their Earl grey milk or matcha milk! I ve been trying to drink less coffee and those have a better come down from the energy rush of caffeine. The staff is always great here and I have never ever ever had a bad experience while coming here.

Us: got Kyoto cold brew and vanilla latte. They tend to run on the stronger side of flavors, but there were lines despite being being in the office hours. Just goes to show how popular this place is. Others: I thought cold brew was def above average, but the vanilla latte is notch above otherss. Owners: the guys working on Sunday shifts were very friendly

First, the pros: coffee was very yummy and the passion fruit pastry I had was one of the best I ve ever had. The passion fruit custard filling? Phenomenal. The burnt sugar crust on the bottom? Exquisite. The pastry is responsible for all 3 stars this restaurant earned. Cons: very pricey! 2 coffees (small) and 2 pastries (medium sized) cost $30. Menu was confusing, and when I asked the cashier what a ganache milk was, he got really annoyed at me (spoiler alert: it s hot chocolate). Service was, honestly, terrible. I had trouble hearing the barista over the music, which wasn t too loud but was played directly over the cash register, and the guy who took my order criticized my drink choice and generally seemed irritated that I was there. Would definitely recommend the food, but be prepared to spend a lot and lower your expectations for service!

I frequented stereoscope a lot during the pandemic. There was never a line which was nice. I visited again a whole year later and, boy oh boy, the line was basically out the door! It is worth the wait for the sweet caffeinated goodness though! Drinks are great, bags of coffee to brew at home are just as great!

There are usually two flavors: espresso and a seasonal flavor. I cant resist the urge to order both flavors when I visited Stereoscope on a hot summer day and I relished them both.

We love coffee and tea, this place has the best of both! Best coffee shop around, very cool atmosphere and best taste. We like to order the Madagascar Vanilla Latte and the Spanish Latte. Overall always experience a good cup of coffee here.

I took out Americano. Even though I usually dislike acidity, it was a delicious Americano with moderate acidity, and it remained delicious even after a while. It was regular size, but the quantity was sufficient.

Good coffee, very crowded indoor seating, but great outdoor seating. Parking is free. $8 for a large vanilla latte with oat milk ($1.25 extra for the milk substitute). To this day, I still don t understand why cafes charge such an obnoxious extra $ for milk substitute unless they are making milk substitute in-house.

Everyones raving about the amazing service in the reviews but we need to talk about the amazing coffee! Ordered the Costa Rica Hacienda (natural coffee) as a pour over, and a cold one. Whoever brewed it did it perfectly. The temperature was spot on. It hits the tongue with bright fruity notes then opens up into a blanket of warm fuzzy velvety cream. (So satisfying ) Finishes off with a hint of toffee. So interesting! It was good cold too, the flavors were more muted though. I usually dont order pour overs when I go out because its always under or over brewed so this is a great find. I MUST KNOW WHO BREWED MY CUP

Wow, how did they make their coffee ice cream??? It tastes like Haagen Dazs coffee ice cream, but in soft serve form. You can def taste the coffee, tastes very premium. This place is popping, gonna be hard to find a seat but hey, you just need to grab your coffee right?

Stereoscope embodies what, in my opinion, a coffee shop should be. While the coffee is diverse and high in quality, the employees and overall atmosphere of the shop are what really impresses me. I noticed that the all the employees enjoy engaging in conversation and really know their coffee. Theyre also always walking around, making sure that things are clean and customers are satisfied. Inside the shop, the seating is very communal. Theres one long table, making it very easy to talk to other people, but because of that, it gets very loud inside. It probably isnt a good idea to study inside the café. Outside the shop, youll find a lot of smaller tables, all of which are well shaded. Even though we went on a very hot day, it still felt really nice to sit outside. I only tried the Single Origin Espresso Soft Serve, but Im super excited to come back and try other items.

highlight of my stop at stereoscope is the service! the barista who rung me up was super cool and lively! service was also really fast! out of all the cafes i visited between here and LA, their service was the best. i also enjoyed the vanilla latte a lot, super super good. the sweetness was perfect and the coffee was smooth. i also love the interior and how there is outside seating. when i come back to socal, i d definitely come here again!

One of the best vanilla lattes I have had at a coffee shop. They make their own vanilla syrup from actual vanilla bean pods. It was delicious. My friend had an iced matcha latte and I tried a sip and it was really good too. Definitely recommend this coffee shop. Customer service is excellent too.

A roastery cafe where roasting is done directly in the cafe. It was nice to get a free hand drip coffee or espresso if you bought coffee beans. Looking at the coffee machines and grinders, I could see that the owners know-how about coffee was considerable. And it tasted good. The first picture is the coffee bags I bought. I think Ill be visiting it often in the future. A roastery cafe where roasting is done directly in the cafe. So heres the positive: Great Coffee and Nice baristas & ambiance! Negative: The service in the morning is incredibly way too slow, baristas dont move with a sense of urgency (which is odd for the coffee industry). When there are two people there, only one makes the coffee, they could be speeding up service if they both worked together. I have consistently left the building when I see even one person in line or just one barista. As a former barista, this is very disappointing. People have to get to work in the am & they dont even account for that. I love this place but I can only come here once a week because of this issue.

Good small place to study/work although can be a bit too crowded and too loud. But still, has good vibes. 1 star down because I didn t like the taste of the decaf iced americano (the taste of the coffee beans themselves, they felt burnt).

Great place for craft coffee. I tried their espresso tonic, very refreshing especially on a warm day. They have Wi-Fi, indoor seating, as well as outdoor seating. Great local coffee shop.

Continously provides friendly service and flavorful drinks. Ordered my favorite, a dirty strawberry, several times over the last year. Its essentially coffee with milk and small bits of strawberries. Its definitely not cheap but thats true of most coffee places. Still, whenever Im near here, I personally find this place worth stopping by. Theres ample parking and indoor/outdoor seating area. I usually see multiple people studying/chilling here.

i was not even able to take a coffee because of neverending lines. however. i can tell their coffee beans are so fresh and smalls so delicious. I definetely re-visit and take a coffee oneday. BUT PLEASE AVOID BUSY TIME. YOU ONLY GET A COFFEE SMALL LIKE ME.
