Oh my goodness, I am so mad. I ordered my favorite katsu, and the container was dirty with something like mold on it. This is so disgusting and disappointing.

Welcoming atmosphere, great food, amazing service. We were not familiar enough with Korean cuisine, but waitress helped with it, made recommendations which dish to prefer at the first time, how to serve it and what to taste. Portions are huge, food is delicious. Perfect service

Let me preface by saying we order here regularly and ALWAYS place large orders. I always order as a Korean via phone. My father in law (American) went today and couldn’t remember the name of the dish. Instead of having any kind of patience or kindness they told him to leave. The dish he described is simple to understand as it was just bibimbap and one of the most generic dishes to order as an American. The way the 아줌마 treated him is absolutely unacceptable regardless of a language barrier and if this is the way they treat their non Korean customers everyone should go to any of the many other Korean restaurants in BP… there’s plenty of other options with similar price and quality.

Been here 4x already and the food never disappoint. One of the best to serve galbitang and donkatsu if I typed them all correctly. Make sure you come early before lunch or dinner time as they gets pretty busy and crowded. Although their parking lot is small, don't get discouraged as you can park along Mcneil lane too for street parking. It's just a few steps away from the restaurant.

붐비지도 않는 4:30에 테이크아웃 5개 주문했는데, 20분 걸린다던 음식 네 개가 40분만에 나왔습니다.
오랜 걸린 이유를 물으니 전화로 주문 안했으니 많이 기다리는 게 당연하다는 말도 안 되는 소릴 하대요. 음식 하나가 더 늦은 건 개별포장을 요청했기 때문이라는 황당한 소리를 또 하네요.
끝까지 미안하단 말을 못 들었습니다.
별 하나도 아까운데 어쩔 수 없어서 하나 줍니다.

Long wait for take out, rude attitude, and bad service.
Walked in and ordered 5 items for take out during off peak hours. Took them 40minutes and they forgot one item.
Upon my complaint, they blamed me for not placing a phone order which was why it took so long and that I ordered too many, which was why they missed one item.
Unbelievable.

Just had galbitang today after about six months of Covid19 hiatus. I've enjoyed their food for three years I've lived here and honestly at least for galbitang, it has been going down over the years while the price has been going up. Today's galbitang seemed like they are now using less quality beef(it had the taste of old beef) and we could taste MSG, which was surprising given the fact that they are known for the traditional way of cooking which would not need MSG if they use fresh ingredients. I hope they find their principles and craftsmanship. After all, it's easy for a restaurant to lose its credibility and fall, but much harder to find someone who knows how to do things right in the first place, and the chefs at this restaurant know it well. Not all has gone down. The Cirsium rice/"gonderae bibimbob" was just as good as it has always been. The price has gone up for both: now they are $16.99 per dish, which is high, especially for Socal area.

I went back two months ago due to someone asked to meet there for lunch. The food got better and the price came down. So I went galbitang togo today and it was terrible. The soup was salty...I don't remember if they season it prior to serving since other soups there come out unseasoned so that the customer can season for their own preference. The meat was not cooked thoroughly and the soup had fine clots of blood particles all over. I think the regular chef didn't work today since it is Sunday. So bad and inconsistent.

Quality has downgraded so much... I couldn't believe it...and why in the world did they raise their prices so much... their donkatsu used to be used and large portioned, but now it's half the size (the meat inside) and not fresh. The galbitang had mostly bones...will not be coming back.

This very unassuming restaurant in Buena Park was way better than I expected. The food is very good, especially the kalbi tang (spelling?) and tonkatsu (pork cultlet). The atmosphere is nothing special, but you're not coming here for that. You're coming for the food. So, it's not a good place to impress a first date. Depending on the time of day you go, waits can be long. We try to go around 3 PM or 4 PM to avoid the rush. They do a lot of take-out as well. There's not a lot of parking; we've had to park on the street around the corner. They close fairly early - 9 PM. Staff is always busy running around, so don't expect friendly chit-chat.

Tried Yuk-Gae-Jang and sul-long-tang. Both soups were good. The picked radish was one of the best I've had.

Their Galbi-tang and Seolleongtang are the main stars here. Both soup dishes are very hearty with lots of gelatin and rich flavor. Inflation pricing is ridiculous for Korean food these days and this restaurant is no different. Their single portion is enough for two health conscience eaters if on a budget. I just wish their ban-chan was a little better... kim-chi can be a hit or miss sometimes.

생각보다 오래 기다릴수도 있고, 예상대로 돈가스 맛집이었다. 내부는 생각보다 작다. 직원들은
친절하나 바쁘기 때문에 서비스가 나쁘다고 느낄수 있다. 비빔냉면은 정말 맛있었다. 물냉보가 난 비냉이 좋았다.

Galbitang really good. At first, I thought their meat amount was too little, but when you actually cut it up, it’s quite a lot and I couldn’t even finish them all. Their kimchi is alright…. not as good as I wanted it to be but their radish in soy wasabi sauce is so good.

It was a renovated restaurant and one of the favorite authentic Korean restaurants in OC.
But all the foods, even side dishes, were sweet. Normally, authentic Korean food is not sweet that much.

Food:3/5, 2.5/5 service. Don't expect good service in lunch/dinner time.

Update- went there in 2 years. How can a restaurant goes this bad. I would rather buy an instant beef broth and put some meat in it.

We ordered Yuk Gae Jang, Nakji Dolsot Bibimbap, Suh Lung Tang and Galbi Tang.

I would say the Galbi Tang was the best, but my Yuk Gae Jang was pretty good as well. It could have been a bit more flavorful, but I finished all of it and threw some rice in to soak up broth at the end as well.

The Dogani Tang was great and so was their Sul Lung Tang!

Their banchan game was pretty weak, as they only had fresh kimchi. I like my kimchi more fermented but I guess they don't have time to ferment it a couple days?

It was packed from their opening hours, but it emptied out before we finished eating!

갈비탕 24불인데 투고했는데 갈비 3대 들음.그건 괜찮은데 김치가 다 별로임.갓김치와 깍두기 시고 배추는 soso~ 파킹이 너무 없고 점심때는 아주 정신 없을듯함.

I came 8:30 and waitress told me it will be last call . After we had been seat , and she told us there will be only soup. Then she missed one of our order, we told there is one order missing , she told us it’s after last call. We told her order was placed together and waitress brought the white rice to us . 15 mins later , she brought the bill ask us to pay first, there only show two order soup and charge of white rice. We asked what happened to our missing order, she said it’s pass last call , then we ask her why there is white rice charge, she has no explanation. I could understand we got there 8:30, but all she needs to do is telling us that kitchen closed. That’s a terrible experience for not getting our food , overcharge and food taste so bad.

Excellent food! Had a great dinner even though it was take out. Expect a long wait either way! Always looking for come back again and again! No photos this time.....UPDATE: Everyone is coming back to dine in. Take out is the best option. Pick up in 20 minutes. Come in at 20 minutes or later. Keeps the frustration from everyone mind. Come together in one vehicle if dining in! There are no lines for now. Great place Great food!

We had Sul long tang to go. Did not taste good as it used to. Soup was oily and just tasted like they didn't have enough time to cook it. Soup had enough meat which was good but soup was not tasty.

섞어설렁탕은 곱창에서 흙이 너무 많이 씹혀서 몇번을 뱉어야 했습니다

Great service! When we ordered they warned us about the amount and the taste to make sure we got the best experience. We definitely ordered too much, but they have great food. I recommend the ox knee sullungtang! They have great service for those who aren't used to eating Korean food, they tell you how it's eaten and what sauce is for which food when they bring it out to you.

Came here all the time with my family. We always got the spicy mixed noodle and spicy octopus bibimbap. Quality went down so much. The noodle was bland and you can tell they used frozen and not fresh lettuce so as you ate it got watery. We had to ask for extra sauce on the side. As for the spicy octopus bibimbap it was way too salty, we could not eat it so we asked for extra rice and had to mix that in. But later we found out they charged us for the extra rice, the food should already come out well seasoned. There was barley any octopus. Also the kimchi radish they added to the bibimbap was old they probably used leftover radish, it had a funny smell and taste to it. Just in general quality is horrible but price went up. If you want to waste money come here. I do not recommend

Absolutely wonderful galbi tang and side dishes. A gourmands delight - better than many galbi tang soups I’ve had in my many years in and out of Korea. The owners have pride in serving a few key dishes that are made incredibly well.

I always crave this. It's so bomb!! If you are anywhere near this you must stop by for some Beef Rib Soup (Galbi-Tang). Or try anything else on the menu, it's all so good!! My wife gets the Spicy Beef Soup (Yuk Gae Jung). The servers and owners are all really nice, always a wonderful experience here. Take-out and delivery are awesome too!
