Stylish Japanese spot for all-you-can-eat stews cooked at the table & a generous sake selection.
We had a few days off leading up to Christmas, so we wanted to try a new ayce shabu place. This time, husband wanted to venture into Buena Park to check out the $26.99 all you can eat option.
We arrived at opening, so the bar wasn't fully stocked with their hot items, but the veggies and seafood options were pretty full. I grabbed some fish cakes, crab, bok choy, Napa cabbage and some kimchi. For sauce, I mixed some ponzu, grated radish, sambal and some water (mul) kimchi.
For soup stock, we got the Bone and Beef broth. The soup flavor was pretty bland, but it gains more depth as you cook more stuff in the soup. Meats are endless, so our first round included Chuck Eye, Brisket, Beef Belly and Lamb.
The lamb was sooo dry and a bit tough. Brisket and beef belly were a little too fatty, but the beef belly was more tender. Our fave ended up being Chuck Eye as it had decent marbling, so we stuck with this option for the meal.
Overall, it was just alright. The shabu feels a bit more geared toward the Korean palate and had a larger variety of seafood choices, but it just wasn't our vibe.

All u can eat soup based meals. $38/person. So many choices. Pick your protein(about 8 choices, then your broth(spicy miso, beef) boiling in large stainlesss bowls in the center of the table. Then you visit the condiment bar ( greens, whole shrimp lobster balls, squid, noodles, rice octopi, and more). Then go back to table and add everything to the steaming broth to cook for a bit. Use ladles to remove your broth/condiments and enjoy. Eat all you like. $5 charge for left over food.

Satisfied! My first visit was lunch and this time was dinner. Servers are ready for service with smiles and will fulfill your requests. Foods are fresh and delicious. Didn't get a chance to taste their ice-cream dessert because their machine was out of order. I recommend and plan to go there again.

Love this place. First of all, service is really good. Greg is such an enthusiastic server, A+. The meat quality and variety is fantastic. Love the different sauces. The veggies were fresh. I also love the porridge rice at the end. And who can turn down the sweet rice drink for dessert. Great experience. One of my favorite places to go in Buena Park.

Had a birthday dinner here and we came early which may contribute to the ease of getting a table for 6. Toppings were fresh. The plate of vegetables had a good variety. Broth options were good. We appreciate that they refill with broth unlike some places that refill with hot water. Sake selection was good.

Please check the taste of both kimchi. Mul kimchi was pure sugar water with cut vegetables. While we were there last night, already emptied bulgogie was never refilled (I mentioned to server twice)...so as the rice. Only thing maintained from the last visit was the quality of the meats. I don't think it's all you can eat salad bar when more than half were already empty and stayed empty, and all the servers were busy helping their assigned tables. I don't know if I should let my friends know about the restaurant being poorly managed since I recommended to quite a few people to go try.

Randomly searched yelp, and found this grand open location. Very energetic vibe. It is AYCE style of hotpot. Instead you go grab the item yourself from bar; its all ordered from waiter. Price level is higher than average AYCE hotpot location; so you have better quality of food and service. its more elegant than others.
i have ordered the spicy seafood broth, and there is 1/4 size of crab in it. i am happy with my experience, will come again for sure.

This place is great. I've been here twice already. Both times the food and service were excellent. Quality of the food, especially the meat and seafood, seems great.
I haven't had any issues with the food or service.
They have a variety of soup choices so can that you can try different flavors.
It's all you can eat so the price is pretty fair at around $36.99 per person. Kids under 5 eat free.
For me, kind of pricey so I only go on special occasions.
Place is clean and parking lot is huge since it's in a huge plaza where Zion Market is.
I highly recommend this place if you want to try shabu shabu or sukiyaki.
Update: Came here for the day before Mother's Day, not much changed but the price, now $38.99 per adult. Food quality is excellent. Plates and utensils are clean. Sauces taste good. Service is great. Atmosphere is really good.

We went to Miss Shabu today for lunch and it was fantastic! We waited 1 minute for them to clean up a table for us 2 around 12:30PM. It was $25.99 for AYCE lunch hot pot. We opted for the Spicy Seafood and Sukiyaki broths, which were both tasty and not too salty!
Started out with all 3 of the USDA Prime meats, 3 seafoods (all except white fish), a vegetable platter (which was HUGE), udon noodles, and a fishcake platter. We then ordered beef belly, pork belly, another set of seafood, more fishcake, udon noodles, and more bok choy / napa cabbage. It was SOOOOO much and we ate plenty!
Their house ponzu sauce is so good, and I added minced garlic, minced radish, and chili oil to it. So good! We'll be back!

This place is a hidden gem. I love their spicy seafood broth and all the veggies. The meat was a decemt quality (not USDA Prime.)
Other places, they charge for the veggies and sauces separately. This place included all.
The staff was prompt and our orders came in timely manner. The only thing that I did not like about this place was there was only one bathroom for each gender.

Had my first Shabu Shabu tonight and am so happy that I went here for it. The service was fantastic and explained everything to us so well. Then there was the food and the experience of the hot pot. So so good. I cannot explain just how good this was. I was a little slow getting into it at first, hoping that I was doing it right but by the end I was diving in chopsticks first and loving every bite! I can't wait to go back and try more!

Alright hotpot experience but sake, atmosphere and service is good. We come on Friday night and the wait is 2 hr but it allows us to put our name in Yelp list at home so it's fine. For 3 people we get 2 broths the house and miso. The servers keep the meat we order coming but for some reason no matter how much meat we add the flavors of the broths don't improve. It's like dipping meat in boiling water. The meat itself is sliced very thin and there's not enough for each portion. The clam and seafood stuffs we get are also not good. Clams have a lot of sand we don't recommend. The best thing by far is the dumplings, pork belly meat and wide selection of sake. Overall, it's an average overpriced ($40/person) hotpot place for what you get but people are coming for the sake and it's not crowded like other places.

Hot pot served with your choice of two broths and a pre-made selection of vegetables brought to your table. You choose the meats you would like and it's all you can eat. Service is very friendly, and the place is busy. We arrived just after twelve noon on Saturday and waited about five minutes to be seated. I just wish that options were given for the vegetables as well as the meat, so that we could choose those we know we like and would eat. Instead of wasting unfamiliar food left uneaten. Overall Miss Shabu is really enjoyable hot pot. The vibe is friendly and definitely that of a family restaurant, I saw several families with young children. And the sound level is not overly loud. Even at at lunch hour in a packed house you can speak and have a conversation and HEAR one another, lol. Which I really appreciate! Before you say it I will, "ok Boomer!" And I'm only 51😂

This place was my go-to spot for Shabu but now they have changed owners and the previous owner took his LIQUOR license with him. NO LIQUOR HERE.
Other than that their meat is great. Never tried their other meat choices than beef. I always get top blade. They also make porridge for you at the end, if you request it. Porridge is not for everyone.

Wouldn't seat us at 8:10 pm even though they close at 9 pm. Said that kitchen closes at 8:30 pm and has to do with the 2 hr sit in rule. No signs posted anywhere about no seating after 8 pm and it look 30 minutes of driving to find out. I don't get why you wouldnt just indicate your business closes at 8 or 8:30 pm so that people don't waste their time travelling here.

It was good. Very good choices of Meats.
Did like this place.
Would recommend.

Especially that my kiddo is very picky eater, so I called the restaurant to ask if it was okay for us to bring food from outside just for him to eat.
And the manager did let us.
That was totally cool for her to do that.

Best meat I ever had at a Shabu place (and I've been to quite a few). Although busy, service was almost Psychic! At most served "all you can eat", it's more like "how long can you endure the wait" (and you end up only getting 3 rounds Max before you have to leave to celebrate Leap Year). I had 5 rounds back to back (no waiting, svc was right there as I put my last couple of pieces in EACH TIME). It was truely ALL I COULD EAT!
