Our experience was not good. If you dine here, request a table/booth in the front of the house. Be sure not to sit in the backroom with the fireplace. It was half booth, half chairs with a plastic table you would use in the park for a big birthday bash. Our reservation request was a booth. Well we got half a booth. Needless to say, I went home with a stiff neck and headache with the jolt and sound of the door slamming every few minutes that led to the outside door seating of the restaurant. We asked to move, but that was a no, the place was packed, hence the plastic tables in the back. Now for the service, our server was slammed with tables , our soft drink orders were not completed that we ordered, so we changed the 2 non- delivered ones to a glass of wine. We were charged for the soft drinks that were never brought. The French onion soup was a clump of onions in a paste. Where was the soup? The fried pickles and shrimp were good. Two of the steak orders were not cooked as ordered. They came out raw, the two were ordered medium. The cheesy potatoes, fries were not even lukewarm. The chicken piccata had no sauce on it. The Bernaise sauce came was like a paste, you could turn it upside down and nothing would fall out. The coffee as well was lukewarm too. This place is a turn and burn, get them in and out with a kitchen like a cafeteria mentality. The manager was very nice and gave us a discount for our experience. When you expect a restaurant with these other good reviews, I just wanted to give you a taste of to what to expect in this restaurant. It was like being on a roller coaster ride. Also there was no live music, they must of had a Saturday night off, unless we were part of the restaurant you could not see or hear them. We made the best of it, it was a celebration. We will not be back. The manager was very nice and was very aware of our experience was real. The Servers assists were on top of clearing and refilling water. The server as I said was, as they say in the weeds!

Famous Garlic Bread meh. Food was cold and extremely average. Waited for thirty minutes to get in and another thirty to get our food. Way too expensive for cold food. To sum up my experience meh would be the word.

This is an old-fashioned steak house with red booths and a quiet atmosphere. The steaks are really delicious, and the garlic bread is unbelievable. It is better suited for adult parties, but I did see a couple of tables with small children. The wait staff are true professionals, and the quality of food is consistently top notch. There are pictures of stars on the walls and crooner music at a nice level to round out a perfect dining experience. Parking: Unless it is a weekday at lunch, pay the valet. Its only $6.50 and parking nearby is limited.

If you re looking for a classic dining experience in Burbank, The Smoke House is a true gem. Walking through the doors, you re instantly transported to what I imagine to be the golden era of Hollywood. This place has been around since 1946, and while tasteful, doesnt seem to have changed much, which is good. The Smoke House is renowned for its legendary garlic bread it s hands down the best you ll find anywhere. Crunchy on the outside, soft and buttery on the inside, it s an absolute must-try. I recommend starting with their famous bread, paired with one of their expertly crafted cocktails. The Old Fashioned is a perfect choice if you re a fan of classic drinks. As for the main course, the Prime Rib is the star of the show. Cooked to perfection, it s tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The BBQ Baby Back Ribs are another hit, falling off the bone with just the right amount of smoky sweetness. If you re a seafood lover, the Grilled Salmon is perfectly flaky with a delightful char. What truly sets The Smoke House apart, beyond its amazing food, is the ambiance. The low lighting, red leather booths, and live piano music create an intimate, old-school vibe that you simply can t find elsewhere. It s a fantastic spot for a romantic dinner or a special celebration with friends and family. The service here is top-notch, with friendly staff who go out of their way to ensure you have a memorable experience. All in all, The Smoke House remains a beloved staple in Burbank for a reason. Always one of my stops after a dreaded visit from l.a. to the airport. It s a dining experience that s not to be missed!

This place has been on my bucket list since moving to SoCal. I adore nostalgic LA restaurants and was ready to be in love with this one. Unfortunately, it was absolutely awful. The food was terrible and I mean really bad. The world s greatest garlic cheese bread was literally the worst I have ever had. The food was an absolute failure all the way around. The service wasn t much better. But the ambiance was lovely. It could have been an off night and maybe I should try it again before reviewing the place poorly, but it was just so bad.

We had a fantastic meal at this charming, classic Hollywood stop. Our drinks were perfect, my sons Steak Sinatra was delicious, the ribs were pretty good, and the Lava Cake was excellent. We especially loved the atmosphere, with lots of booths and old school, casual charm. Fun to watch La La Land right afterwards, as scenes were filmed here. Also their website has a great video about the history-- right next to Warner Brothers so lots of fun details. Easy valet parking for $8. Well be back!!

I mean it was okay. Kind of reminded me of a sizzler tbh with how cheap and dry the food is. Like is a baked potato dried up??? Plus its so dark in there and you feel ignored no one checks too see if you need anything was about to go to the damn kitchen myself to grab myself some water. AVOID THE GARLIC BREAD was so freaking horrible. Its like they grinds up Cheetos to sprinkle it on bread and call it garlic bread. I was so bummed and very disappointed at the fact that this place couldnt even get garlic bread right like come on. Stop being cheap with your ingredients if you want to be that way change the menu prices because the prices dont match the items that you get served. Wouldve had a better meal at in n out then this place.

I hate to leave a bad review but man oh man tonight was not the night for me. Service was great and it servers were very accommodating. Ordered the pork chop and unfortunately was driest Ive ever had, to the point it actually took the moisture from my mouth. Server did take it back and replaced with the broiled salmon. Unfortunately, strike 2. Again super dry and no flavor, baked potato sent out without fixing and had to wait about 10 min before those came out. Couldnt eat that either but was too embarrassed to send this one back a 2nd time. Listen, I see the demographic that you cater to, but I think its time you update your menus to a younger pallet as well as to the boiled chicken era. Ive been here plenty of times but tonight was a big miss. If you want to come here come for the bar. Because the food on average is a 6 out of 10. Unimpressive is an understatement for a venue that should be catering to a wider palette.

Maybe we went on an OFF day we were SOOO disappointed. Ordered Stuffed Crab Mushrooms, what a joke...tiny whole mushrooms with stems with what tasted like Stove Top dressing plopped on top with no crab, not even a whisper of crab taste. The meals were slow in coming (didnt appear to be busy) and luke warm, missing extra component add ons plus incorrect potato served. Filet was tough but cooked well to order. The cheese bread YUM. The Creme Brule was watery. Service was meh...had to flag passing bus people to get our main server to visit our table to correct wrong item ordered, sauces missing and refills on water and iced tea. However when actress Laurie Metcalf and her party was sat next to us, all the staff was attending her table and Chef came to her table to check. Guess we boring patrons get no attention and love. For what we paid for average food, meh service, expected better then what we got. Feel this restaurant is running on past reputation. Will not going back.

This is tender cuts of filet sauteed with bell peppers, shallots, garlic, (mushrooms removed), tomatoes, red wine, and served over linguini. Smoke House has been one of my favorite restaurants for quite some time. I first came in the 90s when a dear friend of mine was on a primetime NBC drama produced by Warners, and she brought some of her co-stars to join us. Since then, Ive eaten here about thirty times, and I have never had a bad experience. The food is always outstanding, filling, and at a very reasonable price. The staff make you feel like theyve known you forever. I last visited in March of 2024 with my cousin, his wife, and his parents, just after we saw loved ones resting at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, and the dinner atmosphere really helped me to mellow out from the grief I was feeling. Despite the Classic Hollywood feel and occasional famous faces at the tables, the Smoke House is a family-friendly establishment; Ive never felt a smug air about the place compared to, say, the Ivy, which I despise. You come here to relax and have a good time with family and friends, not to show off for your Instagram followers. I have so many great memories of the Smoke House, and Im sure Ill have more in the future. I miss it when Im back in the Midwest.

1st time there. Nice atmosphere, and packed. I was looking forward to this! Ultimately, I came away a little disappointed. I ordered the house cut prime rib(supposedly the large cut), and my friends ordered the regular cut. When my plate came, it was only slightly bigger than theirs. I thought it may have been an anomaly, but someone else at our table had the same thing happen with them. The meat was a little chewy but had descent flavor(probably from the auju). Service was ok, friendly but not terribly efficient. They forgot my steak knife to cut the meat, and it took a couple of asks to get it. When they brought the condiments for the baked potato( which they put on for you), the waiter dropped some sour cream on the floor(it happens), but no one ever came to clean it up. Ive heard good things about the restaurant, and some of the other dishes looked good, so maybe I would go back and give it another try.

We let the 4* reviews entice us to visit. The service was quite slow by American standards. The steaks were not as fried as desired and had more of the thickness of a schnitzel. The fries unsalted and the vegetables from the frozen packaging. Unfortunately you can taste it. Thats not enough for high demands. For 10-15$ more we ate really tasty food at other places... What a shame. Not recommendable

Great atmosphere. Nice charcoal flavor to the steak on the outside and tender on the inside. Filet Mignon cooked perfectly.

There is too much to be said - wonderfully about this restaurant that I must refrain from over glorifying a beloved place. Try the garlic bread.

Best sweet potato s you ll ever eat kids food was good too burger was good but service was not that good atmosphere is cool looking but kind of dark for my liking I prefer more lighting oh also don t say to split dishes they charge $5 (kind of a turnoff for customers) oh and if you love Mac and cheese the bread they make is a Mac and cheese powdery bread it s not all that great but it s interesting they call it garlic bread I didn t taste any garlic.

So many memories of my Nana and Grandfather, taking us here, when we visited. We always took home extra garlic bread.....it never makes it. Prime Rib, Steak (s), etc. Very cool place to relax and have a great meal with family...Who knows, you might see a celebrity or two....

Ive been going here for many years since my late teens and I am in my 50s now. I have to say though I had not been here since before the pandemic so this was my first time returning since that time since I dont live in the area anymore. Reservations are strongly recommended. The service is always consistent and very attentive. There are a lot of meat options so if you are a meat lover this is the place for you. Over the years I eat very little meat so my meal was mostly vegetarian. I had the wedge salad and the clam chowder. In the past we always went to the Sunday brunches and they were always outstanding but because I tend to eat healthier now I find it a little more challenging to find things that I like. My friend had the Australian lobster tail which looked very good and she said it was prepared perfectly with the sides. The portions are generally large. Now what I will say is being from the East Coast I felt that the clam chowder was a huge Miss. It was thick like a gravy and not like a soup or chowder at all but it did have a lot of clams. I would not order it again. Im from Connecticut and I know what clam chowder is supposed to be and this was not it. We also ordered the carrot cake for dessert and it was so dry that when we cut the first piece with a fork the whole two layers separated. It was the worst carrot cake I have had. It was very dry and the frosting was thin like a hard glaze with caramel scattered on top. The garlic bread was . With that said I know that this does not represent all of the meals they prepare and I have had a mostly good experience but I would stand clear of any cake items. I saw other dishes and they looked very well prepared. The wedge salad was very large and delicious. My friend also speaks highly of the jumbo shrimp cocktail. I will return but I will skip dessert and I will skip the clam chowder. I did let the management know and they said they would pass the information on which I appreciate. Parking: There are very few parking spots on the street so you will likely have to valet. That is what we did and it is about $8 I believe before tip.

It was a great visit. We went for our anniversary. We were well attended to. The food was on point as usual. 5 parties with birthdays in just the hour and a half we were there. Vegetarian options: They have a few dishes and they have their own section on the menu. Parking: You can valet or park yourself but you will pay the same price. They are pretty quick to just take your car as soon as you pull in though. Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly but lets be honest no one wants to go pay for a nice dinner like this and listen to your kids scream and cry. Wheelchair accessibility: Totally accessible.

Came in for a quick dinner on the way to a Troubies show in Burbank. Staff were superb at getting us seated quickly. The wait staff took our order and it arrived soon after. The noise level in the restaurant is high and made conversation difficult. The food was good but not great. I expected more from this restaurant. I would return and try different entrees. The house wine is plain and I don t recommend. They could select better.

A venerable delight, one of the last classic Hollywood hang-outs that everyone needs to experience. The steaks and beef selections are one of the best in the city. And I love the friendly and helpful staff.

Old Town dinner. Friendly staff, however the food was large in portion size, unfortunately it lacked seasoning and my steak was tuff. A case of quantity over quantity. Perhaps its ok to discuss business or meet with friends, but dont expect gourmet food.

Went here over The Castaway for a celebration, big mistake. Prime rib was tasteless and over cooked. Veggies were frozen from a bag. Pasta dishes were salty not edible. Bread was hard and dry. Then a service charge, without notice. This place has gone way down hill.

We had a larger party for dinner with reservation. Our party was seated in the back room which wasn t awful, but not the vibe of the rest of the restaurant. When sitting down, I picked up my napkin to see a bug scurry across the table. Not sure what it was, someone else at our table killed it. Not a great start. That same friend said she felt a few bug bites during dinner, and we saw quite a few fruit flies around us. Not sure if it was because the door to the patio was open or what the problem was. The food was good, so I can t even deny that, but we all did a double check after the initial critter discovery upon sitting. Service was great at first, then we were just kind of forgotten. I didn t get a refill on my drinks for nearly 30 minutes and no one checked on our food to see if it came out ok. Overall, we still love this place, but it feels like it s gone downhill a bit since we were here last.

An absolutely extraordinary experience! A must-see, must-visit, must-eat institution. With a long history and touted as a celebrity hangout, Hollywood history kisses you on the lips as you walk through the door. The atmosphere, service, and quality of food is superb. Our party ordered the Bacon Avocado Burger, Cobb Salad, and Lobster Tail. All were divine, and generously portioned. Additionally, drinks were AMAZING. My Long Island Iced Tea was perfection, and perhaps more than what you would expect of a LIIT, and then some!!! I think my favorite part was the cheesy garlic bread. I m Keto, but even I abandoned the Keto Train for this. Absolutely incredible. Staff was super friendly. There s even a staff photographer who will take a keepsake of your table (additional prints are $), which is so charming and old school- I love it! Put this place on your list while visiting!

The Food is amazing and normally the service is very good, rushed but good when theyre busy. Our last visit the service was awful. The waitress forgot our drinks, and our food was late; it was a mess. This was an anomaly. The menu is just the best with reasonable prices to suit.
