We had such an amazing experience working with Half Baked for our wedding cake. We were losing hope searching for bakeries that offered delicious vegan flavors and felt defeated. My mom had mentioned Half Baked so we got a tasting box and ended up loving a few flavors. We ordered another box with our final choices and ended up settling on the vegan carrot cake. SO delicious! Never would we have thought that carrot cake would be our choice but this flavor is out of this world. Their customer service was amazing and they made everything easy and hassle free. When I came in for the second cake tasting box, Nina remembered me immediately. You can tell this is a family business and that they put time and dedication into their customers. The wedding planning process can be overwhelming and to have found a place that checked every box and with whom we felt confident in was a shining light in the dark! Plus our cake turned out absolutely beautiful. We wanted something simple and classic that would highlight my parents wedding cake topper from 40 years ago. It turned out exactly how we wanted! I can’t speak more highly of Half Baked Co! As a vegan, I’m always delighted when I find places that offer options that cater to my dietary needs, and Half Baked exceeded all of my expectations. They crafted my completely vegan, beautiful, delicious wedding cake five years ago, which was the star of our reception. I reached out to them earlier this week to see if they could make some cupcakes for my five year wedding anniversary that match the colors and vibes of my original wedding cake, and they did not disappoint. Both experiences were nothing short of exceptional.

The staff at Half Baked Co truly go above and beyond. My original wedding cake was vegan red velvet on one tier, and vegan marble on the second tier. When I reached out to inquire about my cupcake order (which was quite short notice - entirely my fault) I asked for 6x red velvet. I didn’t want to sound overly fussy by asking if they could do red velvet and marble, especially since I was ordering on such short notice, but their staff absolutely delighted me by ASKING if I wanted red velvet AND marble! They had looked up my past wedding cake order to ensure it was as close as possible to the original, and I honestly teared up at the gesture. I picked up the cupcakes today and they’re BEAUTIFUL and instantly recognizable as a reference to our original cake!

They’re my go-to place for my most special occasions, and I hope to continue to be a happy customer for many wedding anniversaries to come :)

This place is just as awesome as the people that own it! I ordered a Frozen custom cake and they delivered exactly what I pictured in my mind. Needless to say, the cake was absolutely delicious! They also offered nut free options for mini cupcakes, which was perfect for a school event! The staff was caring, super responsive and very patient! Absolutely recommended!

First of all, Half Baked has the best cakes and cupcakes in all of Los Angeles, and it’s run by the kindest women. If we lived closer, we would go every day. They did an excellent job with our wedding cake. We did two tiers, with the one being chocolate cake and fresh strawberry+strawberry cream filling, and the other tier a vanilla cake with the same filling. What Half Baked excels at in my opinion is nailing a perfect balance. The cake was perfectly moist and also had a very nice fluffiness.

The strawberry cream filling is something I can eat by the spoonful. It was perfectly balanced in that it wasn’t too sweet the way other creams/icings are. It was just perfect. So perfect that I asked them to make the same chocolate strawberry cake for my wife’s birthday a few months later. I asked for the rosette design in blush pink and they nailed it.

Half Baked knows what they’re doing, and I just want to have parties all the time so they can keep making cakes for us. It feels good to know we have a dessert bakery for all the special memories for the rest of our lives!

Our cake was one of the highlights of our wedding, with so many guests coming up to us to say it was the best they'd ever had! For our tasting, Christina and Nina provided us with a dozen mini cupcakes in their cake flavors, which were all genuinely delicious and made our choice very difficult. We ultimately went with the Honey Lavender flavor, which was unique yet delicious, but we had to order a few dozen mini cupcakes in other flavors so our guests could sample them (specifically, we recommend Chocolate Strawberry, Old Fashioned, Golden Vanilla, and Red Velvet but you truly can't go wrong). Christina and Nina were just so wonderful to work with and super responsive throughout the process, and we can’t thank them enough for helping make our day special. In fact, one of us had a birthday recently, so naturally we went back for cupcakes to celebrate!

This bakery offers vegan options that are really, super delicious! That’s usually hard to find for a “healthier” option. I bought a diy cake with 2x 6 inch rounds and frosting, no sprinkles, for $39.50.
It’s in the pricier side but worth it! There is a nice seating area inside and it was an easy process to place an order on the website.

If youre looking for the perfect cake and/or cupcakes for your wedding, then you should book Half Baked Company RIGHT NOW! We had the pleasure of working with Nina and Christina who were everything you could ask for from a vendor! They were both so responsive and helpful to any question we sent them over email, they set up an AMAZING tasting where we got to try a ton of different cupcakes with our family (which we had a heated debate on which three we liked best because they were all PERFECT), and they truly delivered on the day of our wedding! All of our guests could not stop talking about how tasty the cupcakes were and we think the overall favorite was the honey lavender cupcake, but the others were CLOSE! The best part about Half Baked Company is that you can go to their store anytime and get any baked goods you want for any occasion and while we counted down the days to our wedding, we stopped in once or twice to get a few warm up cupcakes! Now... quit reading this review and reach out to them because they are the absolute best and really made our wedding day perfect! :D

We ordered our daughters vegan cake and mini V cupcakes literally last minute (23 hours before her party) and they were able to do it! It tasted so delicious and the people on the phone are super friendly as well (so refreshing for california) my husband said they even helped him walk stuff to his car!! I ve never been offered that at any bakery!! Top notch service! thank you so much.

Half Baked made the grooms cake for our wedding, and it surpassed every expectation we had! Not only were the bakery owners an absolute joy to work with, but the cake itself (carrot cake) turned out so beautiful and so delicious, we were amazed. We showed them an inspiration photo we found on Pinterest and they absolutely nailed it. 10/10, would absolutely order from Half Baked again!

It is so hard to find delicious gluten free cakes and cupcakes and Half Baked delivers! The assortment of flavors is incredible and there are too many faves to just choose 1, I went with Carrot Cake, Death by Chocolate, PB&J, and Oreo for my birthday party and the guests couldnt believe they were all gluten free. The shop is also super cute and the owners are so helpful and inviting, if I could give 10 stars I would. SO happy to have come across this little gem.

Highly recommend Half Baked Co! This family owned bakery is amazing. Their storefront is cute, clean, and classy. The staff is extremely amiable and I m always so happy to see them. They are so sweet and easy to talk to. Not to mention they make the best vegan cupcakes I have had! They put the frosting on the top of the cupcakes after you order them which makes them super fresh and soft. They have a wide variety of flavors to choose from and sometimes have seasonal flavors. The red velvet and pumpkin spice (seasonal but carrot is a close second) are my favorite. I ve never ordered a cake from there I am but look forward to doing so sometime in the future. This is a definite must try spot.

Oh my gosh! This was an amazing experience. The customer service went above and beyond. They communicated with us every step of the way to the most delicious cake! We were thrilled with the flavors offered and I felt safe ordering with them. I have an allergy to dairy and they took it seriously. I cant wait to order more from them! The cupcakes are phenomenal!

This took awhile to post. I ordered a toilet cake for my co-worker because I work at a wastewater treatment plant, and I wanted to get him some thing that was funny for him. He was leaving us. He was good friend and mentor. This cake was teeny tiny and it was not all cake. The back of it was made out of Styrofoam. I was so embarrassed when my boss cut into the back of the cake and it was not a cake. The price was extremely expensive. Cost me $350 for a cake that was so tiny! They could ve made the back of the cake out a rice crispy treat or something anything, but not Styrofoam. Very disappointing.

I ended up wanting something sweet and found this place on Grubhub! Im so lucky i chose this place on a whim because boy oh boy these cupcakes are a delectable delight! Not only are these cupcakes gorgeous but theyre absolutely delicious. So soft, airy and dare I say it? Moist. Ive tasted at least two different cupcakes so far and I can say with full confidence the flavors are not only fantastic but the creaminess is so delicious and rich. If I cant convince you enough I went to the store the next day to get more! Thats how delicious they are! :) And was able to meet some of the people who work there which is Salpi and Christina! And was super lucky enough to get my hands on some macaroons! (Which are pretty big and again packed with the flavor it says it has compared to most places where its just overly sweet)

Nice small bakery shop, Christina was great and had us taken care of. We drop by to surprise our friend for her birthday and the cupcakes were all amazing. I tried the PB&J and took a Dulce De Leche home for the Mrs. This place has great cup cakes and a even greater host.

This bakery ruined my sons first birthday cake. I spent $600 on the cake that was supposed to be perfect. Drove all the way down to the bakery with characters I had purchased to be out in the cake. I spoke to the owner of how I wanted the cake to be done and where the characters were supposed to be placed. The day of the party the cake was delivered without the characters and I was very frustrated and upset. They sent another driver with the box of characters and I was inside getting my son ready and my guests were already there. The guy just placed the characters wherever he wanted instead of what I initially instructed which covered the customized topper I had brought and had placed on the cake. I finally came out and saw what had happened and I told him I didn t want them on the top. I told them to place the characters on the bottom. He then pulled them off which completely destroyed the top of the cake making it have dents and looked very messy. NOT to mention the cake was very dry not moist at all. I swear Vons cakes taste better. Very disappointing experience. The guy that delivered it ended up being one of the owners he said and would give a discounted refund for the unpleasant experience and ruining the cake. I didn t hear anything from them until I contacted them and the lady I had originally spoke to was very rude. Apologizing very coldly and laughing thinking it was not a big deal and offering me a 20% discount for my future order. I let her know I was very upset and will not be using them again as my son s first $600 birthday cake was supposed to be special and they destroyed it due to their irresponsibility. I told her I expect a refund for this huge disappointment. All the guests were asking why the top of the Cake looked like that and if it was dropped. The lady was just one of the owners started raising her voice at me over the phone as if she is the one that has the right to be more frustrated than me. I let her know that I was going to write this review and that I will no longer use their service and inform everyone else to be warned about this bakery. Very irresponsible and they do not take responsibility for their mistakes. Even though I clearly said I will not use your service again and I am not interested in a future discount but that they need to compensate me for the current situation just like any business with good customer satisfaction does. I have cameras all over my house the whole thing was recorded including the conversation. So I have proof that this happened and they cannot say any Differently to try and cover the mistake. I did not want to leave a review but the owner didn t mind and said go ahead and leave a review it s very clear that this place does not care about its customers nor their special events and are only about money. As a business owner myself this was a very shocking customer service experience. I do not recommend this place.

We used Half Baked Co for our wedding cake. We went for a cake tasting and loved all the flavors. Narrowing the options down to our favorites was extremely difficult and decided to do different flavors for each tier (3 tiers). I didnt get to try them all on the day of the wedding (unfortunate but thats just how weddings go for the bride/groom), but the piece we had was amazing. Production level was still the exact same as our tasting! Multiple guests also made a point to tell me how great the cake was. I also want to make sure I mention Nina. She was so helpful and answered all of my many many questions. She made the wedding cake ordering process so much easier for us. We will definitely be purchasing more cakes for special occasions from this bakery.

Had a vanilla/vanilla cake and the frosting was grainy. The macarons that were decorating the cake were terrible. Plus they didnt have milk to make a latte when picking up the cake. Very overrated, would not recommend.

Worst macarons I ve ever had in my life. Heavy handed artificial flavors sloppily piped between two over baked, hard, generic shells. And by generic I mean that each macaron used the same exact unflavored white shell on the outside, and they just put a different flavored filling in between. Really really not good.

We had Half Baked Co. make our wedding cake and desserts. The #1 reason we chose them was because their cakes taste amazing. We were hunting for a chocolate cake that s to die for, and we found one in their Death By Chocolate. Not too sweet and decadently chocolatey. We also had a vanilla and lavender tier of cake that was ALSO amazing. We asked for a 3-tier cake with a bit of a watercolor effect as decoration, and it came out absolutely gorgeous. The planning process was really smooth. Natalie helped us plan the desserts for the right number of people and they were easily able to match the colors of our wedding. Along with the wedding cake, we ordered donuts (which were a HUGE hit), cookies and macaroons. Everything was really delicious and beautiful. The cake and desserts were delivered on time on the day of the wedding and we couldn t be happier with the bakery we chose. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for cake and/or desserts for their event.

Half Baked was amazing!! Our wedding cake was exactly what we (my wife) designed with some amazing flavors. The marble cake was unbelievably good and the top tier was a gluten, dairy, and soy free lemon raspberry cake that was delicious. People without allergies were opting for both, which is rare for allergy-friendly cakes. Definitely recommend this place. Super nice people, worked with our timeline, reasonably priced, and delicious. Get your cake here!!

The best cupcakes ever!!! And they have gluten free options on pretty much every flavor. My daughter and I found this place during a walk in the area and I am so glad we did. We got different flavors of cupcakes and they were all so soft and fresh, just melting in the mouth. They also sell cakes, macaroons, cookies and cake pops, all nicely wrapped and looking delicious. Definitely this is my new go to destination for delicious baked goods.

We have been working with Half Baked for over a year and a half for our wedding cake and we absolutely love this bakery! From our initial tasting to the designing process, everything was so seamless and we didn t have to worry about anything. Their team is on top of everything, we couldn t thank them enough and were delighted to have them as our cake vendor. Not to mention the cakes are delicious. We had dulce de leche and golden vanilla and they were so good! Can t wait to use them again for future events or just stop in for a midday cupcake! :)

Our experience with Half Baked Co. was amazing!!!!! We took mini cupcakes home to do the cake tasting, which was so much fun to do! Ordering was super easy and we were able to customize our cake! Stopped by this place with my family. I ordered the lemon bliss cupcake, which I have to say was anything but. It felt like I was eating softened butter with a slight hint of lemon flavor. The cake was a dry, plain vanilla, not a moist lemon cake. I think Ive had better from my local Ralphs. I had a bite of my daughters death by chocolate, which was better and not too overly sweet.

Half Baked is wonderful! They have both vegan and gluten free options, and all of their goodies have less sugar than the average bakery. Yet they taste absolutely delicious and not like they are better for you than most baked goods. We go here for birthday cupcakes whenever we are celebrating someones birthday. I highly recommend them.

I ordered their Breakable Heart dessert online, and the friend I gifted it to loved it! Ordering online was easy, and you can customize the message on it as well as choose your dietary restrictions (regular, vegan, gluten free). The candy heart itself is very durable, so my friend had a hard time cracking it open with the wooden mallet it came with, but overall had a great experience! UPDATE: I custom ordered a birthday cake and they were very communicative answering my questions and bringing my vision to life. They were also able to meet my deadline despite it being so close to a bunch of other holidays! The cake came out beautiful. My only critique would be that the cake itself (lemon) was a bit dense and light in flavor.

Ordered cupcakes from them twice already. Service was always great. Both in-store and on e-mails. Love that they have vegan and gluten free options. But I must say their cupcakes are way too sweet. Given that they say they only put half the bad stuff. I was able to try the chocolate, strawberry, dulce de leche and vanilla flavored cupcakes but theyre all too sweet.

For your own good I highly advice you to read those details before considering ordering a cake from this place. A week and a half ago I ordered a costume made cake for my boyfriends 30th birthday. I ordered the 6 slice piece ( quarantine, just me and him celebrating) Last year I ordered a different cake for one of my best friends. I paid $60, and it fed about 15 people at the club. It was DELICIOUS. I was planning to order from the same place again but my BF loves a specific cake (rainbow chip frosting) that they didnt have. I found Half baked on yelp and was impressed with their photos and reviews. I went to pick up the cake.. and couldnt believe my eyes. The best way to describe it is the on sale section of B-day cake at Ralphs with a $5 sticker on it. It was tiny, extremely basic looking. I brought it to the car and my girlfriend was shocked. You paid $65 dollars for THIS?!! Is that a JOKE?? I cant tell you how upset I was. My car shut down so my girlfriend came to drive me to pick up the cake. A 30th birthday is a serious deal especially for my boyfriend who went through a lot in this past year. and its also one year of us dating. I was looking forward to suprise my him with an amazing cake. I brought the cake back, all I was told is that Ill need to email the manager. Now imagine the stress I was in. My GF needs to leave, I am sitting in her car, calling other bakeries to see where I can get a costume made cake on the spot. No one was able to accommodate my need in such a short notice. Eventually I was so stressed out that I decided to settle and called Half baked I told them that I will only pay $20 for this cake. The baker explained me that this bakery consider pricey because of the high quality, non GMO ingredients so the most she can do is to refund me $35 back and add 4 cupcakes. Either way I was extremely unhappy with this cake but I was assuming that at least it MUST taste bomb (theres no way that for $65 dollars it LOOKS and TASTES terrible) So I took her offer, got the half refund and the cupcakes and was praying that it will at least be the most delicious cake ever. Guys, hold tight. Today was his birthday, We cut the cake and tasted it. It was THE MOST DISGUSTING CAKE IVE EVER TASTED IN MY LIFE. NON GMO HIGH QUALITY INGREDIENTS??!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? CHEAP CHEAP TASTING FROSTING the type that make your throat aches for how sweet it is, the one you avoiding at a 5 year old birthday parties because one bite of it and it chokes your throat from a taste of sugar poisoning and cheap chemicals. I cannot believe that a business like that even exists. We had one bite and the rest of this cake went to the trash!! I want All of my money back or Ill dispute it with my bank. Absolutely disrespectful place I still cant believe it what a terribly upsetting experience

The cholatate base for the cupcakes is AMAZING. I recommend the death by chocolate vegan option if you are a chocolate lover like me!

We are so happy we decided to go with Half Baked for our wedding cake. Right from the start, Natalie was so knowledgeable and patient. After having tried so many flavors of cake, we went with carrot cake (my husband doesnt even like carrot cake, but thats how good it was that he wanted it!) They are a bit pricier than some of their competitors but honestly for the customer service and the incredible flavor it was totally worth it. Not to mention that their cakes are healthier than other bakeries. We even ended up adding a bunch of mini cupcakes and renting platters for the cupcake display. The cake was beautiful and everyone was complimenting how elegant it was. Thank you Natalie and Thank you Half Baked for making our special day even more special!

I walked in to the bakery and was greeted by a lovely young lady who promptly answered all my questions about ordering a wedding party cake and/or desert station. She gave me all the options and all the prices. Then, as if by miracle- she had a cancellation for another couple and had a cake tasting sampler for me to take home so my husband and I could try all the different flavors before placing my order... she didnt charge me for it and she let me choose the flavor combinations to try! My mistake, but I didnt ask her name before I left, but she had blonde hair in a bun and a great, welcoming smile. :)

On a lark, I rode over to Half Baked. The store is super clean but has a sparse selection specializing in what appears to be very customized cakes. They also offer cupcakes and cake pops and a few other items. It is pricey at $3.50 per cupcake. Regardless, I took home a Dulce de leche and a Chocolate & Vanilla. The Dulce de leche was the best cupcake I ever had in my life; very unique taste. I am saving the Chocolate & Vanilla.

I bought the honey lavender cake for my daughters birthday. The presentation of the cake was beautiful, however, I personally felt the cake was dry and not very tasty. Hoping it was a fluke.

I just had a most delicious gluten-free Oreo cupcake! Gluten-free! It did not taste gluten-free! If there are any other folks out there who have to avoid gluten because of a medical condition, youll know why Im pretty shocked. Gluten-free baked goods do not necessarily taste good. This cupcake was soft and sweet with the perfect cupcake texture. The shop is in a gorgeous building that is clean and beautifully decorated. Their selection of cupcakes, whether regular or gluten-free, range from chocolate to lavender. They make your cupcakes to order and they look so cute when they are done. They also have a nice selection of macaroons. Yes, gluten-free as well. We also got some of those. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with a delectable, gooey sweetness in the center. Yes, highly recommend!

Im lactose intolerant so its been so difficult finding a place that offers GOOD tasting vegan/dairy free cakes. But WOW this place blew my mind. Will be my go to bakery moving forward for birthday cakes, cupcakes, macarons, etc. Its all so beautiful and tasty!!

Red velvet, red velvet, red velvet. OMG is bomb. I am a very picky person when it comes to cake and deserts but something about their red velvet cake i just cant get enough. Definitely recomend this place. I also love their macaroons. I just love this place.

The wedding cake for our daughter was not only beautiful, but a healthy choice. I saw some reviews where taste was an issue. If you are looking for a traditional White Cake you have to request it, otherwise you are getting a cake with quality healthy ingredients.

If I could give this -5 I would. I ordered a cake for a small wedding and received the wrong order. Not only was it the wrong order it tasted terrible. I always recommend this bakery to friends and fellow wedding goers as my mom is a wedding coordinator. I will make sure she takes them off her vendor list and will not be coming back. I cant go to a bakery who messes up on a cake so badly and ruins my special day. If you are a customer and wanting them for your event i would stay away.

This place is a MAD HOUSE. Super crowded, people are rude, and I think they taste just fine. Its just a status thing and they do have more than anybody else tho. Great service. Not gonna lie. Just a pain in the arse to buy bread.

Overpriced but exceptional work. Only one attendant to assist customer -very slow service. The idea, regarding the cakes, with the use of less sugar and more natural ingredients is a great idea.
