Very Bar like. Unexpectedly, food is not bad. Sliders were pretty tasty. This place has Karaoke night on Fridays. Not sure about other days but if you feel the next I think I can sing, try this place first

The Roguelike tavern is a bar that focuses on the element of tabletop games such as Dungeons and Dragons, but also has events that sport karaoke, immersive theater, Shakespeare, and any number of events that center around fantasy and lore that comes from the medieval Era or anything that denotes an 18th century mystique.
The food are small bites, but are tasty and well thought out. They also have a healthy cocktail list, with some interesting concoctions to try. They also have vegan and Mocktail options just in case you have a dietary concern or wish to drink with others but still enjoy a fin beverage.
All in all, it's a fun place located in a shopping center that's easy to find and park without having to go thru hoops like many other Los Angeles establishments. Give it a roll of the dice, and hopefully, you come out a winner

Love the trivia night on Tuesdays! It starts at 8pm but make sure to arrive early or it’s unlikely to get your group seated.

I also appreciate the “order your own” QR code ordering system. Drinks and food come up fast and easy to pay for yourself.

Parking is easy since it’s located in a big plaza.

Only been here a couple of times, but I love the tavern so much! The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is fun, and the food is excellent. Trivia night is also fun! I can't wait to come back again.

Now how cool is this place. We were staying across the street at a hotel visiting family for the weekend. Looked up on Google for places to have a drink and have a bite to eat. This place came up and it was literally right across the street.

We happen to walk into a screening of a movie that one of their bartenders was in which was awesome. After that they had comedians and that was an awesome experience. Had some food a couple beers and it was quite enjoyable I love their themes and how they change things up definitely a cool place and the drinks were good so was the food loved it and next time I'm in town I'll be sure to visit again.

Great drinks, helpful staff, cozy atmosphere. QR code menu is easy to use and can be paid online or at the bar in cash. Came for the No Photos Please comedy show, had a Dark n Stormy with the bacon katsu sliders and thick-cut straight fries - my friends and I highly recommend!

The sliders were amazing! We got the triforce so we got a little bit of everything. We also ordered like 7 drinks for a party of 5. We got seated right away and the food was served quickly. We missed the d&d night but it was still a nice experience. The bar is very relaxing and the staff are very friendly and attentive. Male sure if you use their payout method through the app that it acutally goes through.

Didnt try the food, Im celiac and they dont have a dedicated fryer (only other option was a salad). BUT Drag Karaoke was so cool, the crowd was great, seats were comfy, daquiris were awesome! And no cover charge or drink min for karaoke!! Defo going back for more :) Dietary restrictions: I wouldnt recommend the food for celiac (unless you just want a salad), but the kitchen checked to see if they could accommodate anything else to make it gluten-free -- just wasnt able to with what they had. Maybe in the future!!

Low profile, driven by many times and never noticed it in a shopping center lot with many other businesses around, a good thing in my opinion, kinda like a if you know, you know type of place. The food was really good, prices were great.

Absolutely love coming here on a Friday/Saturday night. Bartender Anna is my absolute favorite! I love the way she makes my drinks. The owner is sooooo nice. Everyone at this location is actually super kind.

Great place, great prices, great food and great drinks. New favorite for me. I m not a big fan of loud bars or restaurants as I prefer having a conversation without screaming. So my experience here was a breath of fresh air as it was nice and quiet with background music being just that background music. Not trying to make your ears bleed like most places these days hahaha.

Fun environment, but the food did seem a bit pricey for what you get. I suspect the pricing makes more sense if one views this as an event center with good to very good (if not quite great) food.

I would say this is more of a karaoke bar than a d&d themed tavern. I went and expecting themed drinks, decor, atmosphere, but it seemed minimally decorated and a little disappointing in terms of nerd swag. If you like singing karaoke live, this is a good place to do it. Dont go expecting people to be playing many games on a Friday night.

Went for dinner and karaoke night. Sliders and fried pickles blew my mind. Cocktails were well made, and on a very busy night, the staff kept up with the fast pace. Cant think of anything more I would want from a bar.

We went during bone of their DnD rumble events. It was a lot of fun! It was a little hard to hear the event because patrons were ambient, but it was still very fun and everything there was having a good time. Was definitely packed, so if you plan to go, get there a little early! And if you get there early enough you can get in on their happy hour events.

We happened upon this place on our way to a concert and it was delightful. They had a list of specials and something called a Mystery Shot! Great ambiance, huge array of liquor, mixed drinks, craft beer and wine. Karaoke on Fridays.

Had a great time here with a couple of friends! We came here for drinks and ended up being enchanted by karaoke night. Decor feels classy and the place seemed clean. The service was great, drinks were good, and the regular crowd also seemed friendly and fun - grown-up nerd vibes. Everyone knew the lyrics to I Write Sins Not Tragedies, haha! The next time I come back to LA, definitely on my list to revisit.

Very unexpected find in a very unsuspecting area (and right in the same lot as a Vons) However, it was a great time! Dive bar feels with actual good drinks. Service was good and just the atmosphere was laid back. Didn t try the food, but maybe next time. Made me think of Dive bars I loved back in Chicago.

Went for pubsing night and it was SO FUN! They have regular weekly events like trivia and karaoke, and special events like the pubsing and D&D live plays. The service is friendly and quick. The food is tasty and the drinks are SO WONDERFUL.

The vibes here are immaculate. Excellent drinks, karaoke and trivia nights, plenty of comfy seating. This place is perfect for a night with friends drinking and catching up. The sliders are quite good and the fries are perfectly crispy. The mix of flavours for the sliders are well balanced and the texture of the greens with the meat is top notch. If I had to give one criticism Id say a bit less salt in everything would be nice. Other than that the food is great and would definitely recommend the Roguelike Tavern as a regular hangout for cocktails with friends.

The pork and pickle sliders were delicious as was my husbands sliders. The drinks were fun, unique and totally yummy! The atmosphere was really delightful too and the service was quick and attentive. Definitely eat here again!

Amazing bar. They make you feel like home, meaning they may not know your name but they will make you feel like they do and your a regular even if it s your first time. The food is amazing I suggest the sliders and tots. The staff is amazing. Carlos isn t just hot he s a great bartender. There is always something going on. I just moved here and I highly suggest this bar!

Good selection of draft and bottle craft beers. The bartenders make some absolutely amazing cocktails. They dont have a huge food menu, mostly bar snacks. I ordered some chicken sliders and they were really good, Id prefer them again.

Cozy little bar with excellent food and drink- I ordered an old fashioned (and then another shortly thereafter) with their crispy chicken sliders, waffle fries, and tater tots (yes I know that s a lot of food don t judge me) and everything was delicious! Plus it s in a strip mall with a large parking lot so it s SUPER easy to park! Easiest five stars of my life

We had a lot of fun! The schtick is basically an escape room in a box that you work on while drinking. One piece of advice though is to have an area to work on the puzzles that have a lower noise level. It was hard for our group to all hear the phone and video pieces because of the general noise of the bar.

I want to root for this place and keep giving it chances but every time I am in there the owner makes it very difficult. He is very abrasive. Honestly, the food was good the one time I ate there. The staff had no clue what they were doing and actually admitted that when I asked them for a certain whiskey, all while the owner sat at the bar with his friend talking about the whiskey they were drinking and ignoring his patrons. But that didnt even bother me. Tonight we went in (trying to give another chance) and the owner ran around the bar to ask for vaccination cards. He didnt say hello. He just demanded cards and thats fine, but it was bizarre how cold he was about it. Not everyone has to be friendly all the time but its just an accumulated experience at this place. I dont want to be negative and I never write reviews but this place is disappointing.

I was there for karaoke night and it was a total blast! Great music selection, great drink menu, and great atmosphere. Everyone was extremely supportive of the people who got up to sing and it was a very supportive atmosphere. On top of that, the drinks were delicious. Will definitely be returning!

Low ambience tavern ! The atmosphere is great as the bartenders and owner are nice and welcoming!! The patrons are also amazing! It made me feel right at home! I had the special and it was to die for !! Definitely recommend for beverages and drinks!! They also have events for specific days !!! You should definitely check it out!

Surprising Vegan options, tasty drinks, good ambience and atmosphere! I was hoping for something more nerdy for the name, but this place is a nice local find. My small complaint is the portions sizes are really hit or miss for the prices. Everything I had was very tasty though, and the service was friendly and fast. The puzzle box sounds fascinating, so Ill definitely be back to try

This place rocks! Top notch cocktails, amazing food and much fun to be had. A nice dim lit tavern thats very relaxing and perfect for a hang out session , a date or a place to play some games. They encourage guests to bring board games or take part in thier puzzle boxes. Karaoke and other immersive Entertainment coming soon from what I hear. The cocktails are phenomenal and have a great selection of craft beers and local selections. The food is impressive and fun and they have vegan options. The food and drink compliment each other really well and the have something for everyone. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Excellent food and drinks. Appreciate that they had tables spaced well as were in the first weeks of indoor dining, post- pandemic. Service was fast and friendly. We had a chance to chat with the owner, who was hustling, bussing tables, all evening. We appreciate the effort it must be taking to get this new spot up and running after such a rough year for restaurants: we plan to go back and support asap.

Hidden gem of a lounge meets dive bar with amazing service, quality eats and good ambience. A dim lit tavern in Burbank on the outskirts of Toluca Lake in a large shopping center with several businesses and plenty of parking. The signature cocktails are a must and the tots are crispy fluffy delights. Lgbt friendly, vegan friendly and all around inclusive in every way.

Delicious food with fun drinks! The environment and ambience are amazing and the staff is so kind and friendly to go with it. The food is amazing, and were from Vegas so we know solid bar food when we see it The duck garlic tots are a must and an easy item anyone will enjoy, but the beignets are amazing and perfect in every way, ceispy and hot but so moist and soft inside and the chocolate sauce is so rich and tasty. Would highly recommend and very sad I dont live in the area to go regularly. The bonus dnd themes everywhere only add to the whole picture, a great place to meet others into dnd, rpgs, or other nerdy hobbies

We stopped in since it was new in the area and we had an absolutely fantastic experience. The food was hot comfort food and was awesome. The cocktails and mixed drinks were strong and really well made. Atmosphere was super New York tavern style felt really east coast. Staff was accommodating and not pretentious; we had a really great time there!

Got the puzzle box experience Spirits of Tillinghast and had an awesome time!!! I can vouch for the chicken Katsu sandwich and my wife loved the burger. The puzzle box was a really cool and unique experience. You get to solve some puzzles and the narrative was very fun. And when you pick up the box from John he slips into character and sets the scene for you which was great fun. I highly recommend this place. It s awesome and the food is delicious. Buy things from them! I really like this place and I think you should give them your money whenever possible. Let s keep cool businesses in business!!!

Really, really love everything that this place is doing. Delicious, rich, filling food, inventive cocktails, and cool performances (even in Covid times) - the puzzle box experience that they launched with Immersive company Shine on Collective is a delightful way to experience interactive work from the comfort of your couch. Cannot wait to see how this place continues to grow and develop over time. The space itself is so warm and inviting, I cant wait to get cozy with my friends at a future gathering!
