Great Italian Food

Published a year ago

This was by far the best Italian food my father and I have had in years. The waitress was on her A-game, as she was the only one working, but never missed a beat. Everything my father and I ate had a perfect balance of flavors. The bruschetta was delicious, and I appreciate the fact that you add the tomatoes to the bread yourself. The zuppa di clams was perfectly blended when it came to flavors and the clam was cooked really well. The gnocchi pesto was absolutely delicious, it was perfectly chewy and the pesto was to die for. The lasagna that my dad ordered was the best lasagna that I've ever had. I'm usually not a fan of ricotta, but the ricotta in the lasagna was delicious. The ragu was really good, and sausage was really tasty. The only downside of the meal was the bread that was brought at the beginning, it was a bit tough. Other than that, the entire dining experience here was fabulous! I definitely recommend.

Isabella's Italian Kitchen is a modest, family-owned restaurant that offers simple Italian fare. While the food is decent enough to satisfy a craving, it doesn't quite capture the authentic flavors of Italy. However, the service is truly exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff making the dining experience quite pleasant.

My brother and I had lunch there today for maybe the third time this year, and I had to ask myself, why don't we come here more often? While the ambiance might remind you of a small midwestern restaurant/diner the food is delicious. My brother had the Chicken Piccata and I had the Chicken Marsala. Both were preceded with a nice green salad and fresh warm bread with oil, balsamic and parmesan. Both chicken dishes were served with a side of oleo spaghetti and were perfect. The service was fast and friendly and the prices were very, very reasonable, so hope to come back at least a couple of times a month. .

Been here about 6 or 7 times. Food is great, service is usually great. Last visit we sat down to dine on 2 meals. Ordered another one to go. Was told that kitchen was now closed. Bad for business. Turn the to fire back on and serve the customers who are still halfway through their meal.

We realized the last time we were here was 7 years since we were here last. We ordered and were served with bread with olice oil and balsamic. The bread was good. Our Italian Salad was also good. Diced into smaller pieces, which is how I like it.

The Mushroom Pizza was also done perfectly. Crispy crust and good earthy mushroom flavor. The Chicken Picatta was tasty, seasoned just right. I just wish it was breaded chicken. It tasted great, but looked like boiled chicken.

Finally the Tiramisu was also wonderful. It was probably our favorite dish of the meal.

The staff were attentive and helpful. Overall, it was a decent experience.

2017:
Great service and enjoyable pizza. The chicken marsala was good, the chicken was perfect. However the sauce could have used some more wine. The calamari was also good, though the batter was a bit heavy. Really good was the marinara sauce! The best thing was the tiramisu. Be sure to try it.

WHO EVER THE OWNER IS, YOU SHOULD BE AWARE THAT YOUR EMPLOYEES DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR BUSNESS OR YOUR FUTURE CUSTOMERS. .THE WORST ATTITUDE. YOUR WEBSITE CLEARLY STATES "OPEN AT 4:00PM " BUT NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE UNTIL 5:00 PM. AND THE TERRIBLE ATTITUDE THAT I WAS GREETED WITH WHEN ASK WHAT TIME DO YOU OPEN, AND I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO PLACE AN ORDER FOR A BIG PARTY. I JUST CHANGE MY MIND AFTER BEEN GREETED WITH SUCH ATTITUDE. I WAS GLAD I SPENT MY MONEY ELSEWHERE.

Since right before the epidemic, I have been visiting here frequently, and the food is outstanding. The restaurant is spotless and comfortable, and everything tastes good. The meals are straightforward, as is the menu, but anyone who has any knowledge of restaurants will agree that this is a very good thing. Food is always well-prepared and of great quality. Great, rustic flavors are present.

Ordered the ciopino, ceased salad, bruschetta and chicken Marsala and we both were so surprised how good everything was! The outside of the building is a bit dated and so is the inside but the food is homemade, the ciopino made to order. The tiramisu had a strong espresso element as it should be. Glad we finally made it and can’t wait to be back. The servers are great too! Service 5 stars, thank you ladies

Nice cozy spot in Burbank that is no fuss but all goodness. We went for dinner and had a variety of dishes. By far the best dish we had though it was the fettuccine alfredo. I cannot understand how delicious that thing was and was honestly in my top three of best fettuccine Alfredo's I have ever had in my life. Their pizza was nice portion sizes and dough was cooked perfectly. Also recommend trying their house specials, they know what they are doing. Overall a literal definition of hidden gem spot. Definitely will revisit if in the Burbank area again.

Flavors are great and rustic.

The service here is also great. Pretty much perfect. They are extremely kind and pleasant, and they are very attentive. Never had any issues whatsoever and every time I come here I know I will be happy.

This is a place that you can easily passed by, but it is on a corner near the Costco on Burbank Boulevard. The Italian food here is quite good, with their marinara sauce being a specialty that blesses many a dish. Everything from their spaghetti and meatballs to their chicken pesto and sausage and peppers have been Superior and flavor and in quantity. Their minestrone soup is especially good. The decor is simple, not romantic and certainly not the explosion of Decor Hysteria that you would get at a Buca di Beppo. If you're seeking good food this is the place. They also seem to have a good takeout operation going but the staff is very friendly and I would recommend sitting down and spending some time in their establishment.

I’m compelled to write this review, for those that go to restaurants when they’re hungry. When you come to Isabellas be prepared to wait an eternity for relatively good food. It isn’t that you’re waiting for an Italian experience, or for a beautifully constructed appetizer. You will be waiting for a kind and quiet waitress to overcome her own ineptness, and frustrating inability to multi task. Come here and enjoy your decently made Italian meal. Just be prepared to leave the restaurant a year older than you arrived.

Disturbed. The food tasted good for the most part, but there were several things that were problematic, which started with the host forgetting to bring us our drink order. Then the marsala was not cooked long enough to burn off the alcohol and the pesto was made with toxic pine nuts. Now my wife is dealing with pine mouth syndrome.

Additionally, I used their restroom and there is a dilapidated open attic entrance above the toilet where they are storing kitchen supplies. The toilet seat was warped and scuffed up, clearly because they would frequently stand on it to reach the pans and containers up there.

Lastly, the place’s ambience and signage should have been a red flag from the get-go. An old Vinyl banner for their store front? TV’s playing sports? I could go on, but all in all, I can not recommend Isabellas, and I will be taking my future business to Pinocchio’s.
