I had a big order, I made a mistake and put it as a delivery instead of pick up. So basically I had to cancel the delivery guy and when I went to pick up the order, the staff was super helpful and understanding. They canceled my order on my request as it was charged big tip and delivery fees and charged me appropriately. The staff had to talk to their customer service or owner, but they did and solved my problem. Best staff and best service was given with a smile on the faces. The lady with glasses was super helpful throughout the process.

Here I am finding this review I started years ago in my drafts. I often think about Novo Cafe and how yummy and fresh the pasta was! We've been here before, but tonight was an entirely different experience! The food was so delicious. We split an arugula salad and we both had the Penne Firenze. Very good. For desert I had the Nonna cake, which I loved. She had the Blueberry Orange Tart. Amazing. We even had an authentic Italian server. She was so pleasant and helpful. Overall, a great dinner, hanging out on the outdoor patio. We will be back again soon.

Our favorite restaurant in the neighborhood! The food is fantastic (especially their amazing "pink sauce") and the atmosphere is wonderful. The patio is cute and cozy, with great lighting and heat lamps for the colder months. 10/10 would recommend!

I have been stopping in at this little cafe once a week when I'm in the area for several years now. The morning staff that used to work here over a year ago was not very nice, but the people that work here now are extremely warm and friendly. The cookies are delicious, the food is pretty good but not the best. I do not think that their coffee is strong enough. All in all it's a pretty good place and I will keep coming back here mostly because of the location and the people.

Novo Cafe was right next door to our hotel. We wanted something close and could not have been more amazed at the food and service. We were not expecting anything fancy, instead we got one of the most refined Italian meals we have had in a very long time. The bread sticks with cheese we're perfectly executed. The bread was still crisp with just the right amount of chewiness on the inside. The pastas were freshly made in house and you can tell. The sauces complimented the pasta flawlessly. The wait staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The outside seating area is a must on a gorgeous day.

Had a bad experience today at the cafe. the place was cute but the staff is so rude and the owner (not sure if is the owner but whatever) was even more disrespectful.

Nova was unfortunately overwhelmed with customers during our visit. Despite being seated, we waited for an extended period without any service. Sadly, we had to leave without enjoying a meal. We hope to give Nova another chance in the future when they're less busy.

First time here with my mom and my daughter!! It was INCREDIBLE. Best pizza we have ever had and then we got a chocolate chip cookie and a tiramisu with coffees and it was delicious. We will definitely be back! Alexa was our server and she was outstanding!

We had a really disappointing experience, which I hope isn't the norm, but we probably won't come back to find out. It took 45 minutes for our food to arrive after we ordered. And the waiter didn't bring bread until we asked for it, about 20 minutes after we were seated. The food, when it eventually arrived, was good, but not worth the ridiculous wait.

Sexy, Italian cafe close to the WB campus. Many studio executives and employees eat here due to the walk- ability from the studios.
Never disappoints. My family has frequented this restaurant for years, the food is delicious with daily specials and hand made pasta. Our sweet family member who is 12 asked is this a "Sexy Cafe ?" and yes indeed it is! Dining outside Al Fresco! Yummy dishes and wonderful, attentive staff!

I visited on Sunday with a party of 11 after Warner bros tour. I was not impressed. The server was cordial and fast. My wife found the lasagna was good although not the best she has tested. My daughter did not like the cheese pizza as she says it has no flavor. I tried the lamb chops with potatoes and also found the seasoning too timid. The meat was medium rare as requested, but the potatoes were cold and the cranberry sauce had little flavor (maybe from a can?). None of my guests were delighted and the prices are steep. Very unlikely I will go back.

The food is amazing from the appetizer to the main course and finish it off with their homemade deserts. The pasta is made from scratch. The atmosphere is very friendly and relaxing. The service is amazing with the best staff in my opinion.

This place is wonderful. The food is one of the best I've had. The aesthetics & atmosphere of this place are awesome. Very calming Italy vibes. The deserts & coffee are excellent!! I wish it was closer to my house, bigger parking & a better outdoor area but they are wonderful. The staff is very kind and fun to talk to, the menu for both food & bakery is extensive & delicious. Some plates better than others I will admit & It would receive a 5 star if not for the roaming flies that may wonder in to the outdoor area. The parking is small and so is the interior but if you get inside the restaurant it is a hidden gem in this city.

My friend and I shared three different items, the arugula salad, a pizza with a gluten-free crust, and the pasta puttanesca with gluten-free pasta. All three courses were delicious, the portions were generous, the service was excellent, and it had a pleasant atmosphere. We will definitely be back. We're particularly impressed with the tastiness of the pasta and pizza crust in light of the fact that they were gluten free

Been meaning to try this place for a while. When we did we were pleasantly surprised. Crevice was great and the food was very good. I had the grilled salmon and broccoli. I don't usually say broccoli is yummy. But theirs really was. My husband had the Chicken parmigiana and sautéed kale. Very flavorful and well prepared. We will definitely go back. Highly recommend.

Had the penne arrabiata, it wasn't that spicy and wasn't enough food, I wanted it vegetarian so I skipped a protein and maybe it would have been enough food had I gotten it with chicken or something. The ice tea was good and unsweetened.

We went tonight at about 730 - miserable rain. Greeted and seated promptly, a good sign nowadays. Our server, Chase, was amazing. he had some advice about sharing salads and entrees and what to do with the elementary school kid we had with us. He checked on us just often enough that we would say attentive and too little or much. He was so nice and so friendly that he made the experience for me. The food was good - i thought the cheese pizza was nothing to write home about but the bolognese and salad were wonderful. We figured on leftovers. it was so good there was only a bit of pizza to take home. My only complaint - the tax - on food out here! but that has nothing to do with the restaurant and our good experience!

We had a great time at Novo Cafe, Burbank!

I went to the work meeting at this restaurant. You never go wrong with Novo! Great menu, amazing service and wonderful ambience! Our waiter Chase was attentive, polite and smart. He recommended some nice dishes on the menu. The pastas were delicious! Chase had a good knowledge of wines and other alcohols at the bar.

Ordered the Il Classico panini and wondered how it could cost $15. It turned up and was huge, plus a nice side salad. Well worth the money, pleasant atmosphere and the coffee was the best I've had for a little while.

Posting a review similar to yelp experience review on 12/22/2022.
Dine in experience less than satisfactory.
Restaurant was not busy on 1/23/2023 around 1p & surprisingly the two servers who passed by a few times intentionally glossed us over.
Disappointed I left 20% gratuity for non-service.
On the plus side, pasta dishes better than average.
I've resided in Toluca Lake for years & gave Novo Cafe too much credit during neighborhood walks.

I have driven past this restaurant for decades. Last night was the first time I went for dinner. Everything was super delicious! I started with the Caprese salad, with the Bolognese pasta with fettuccine. I paired that with a nice house rosé.
Super sweet crew and my favorite thing to always mention is the parking. Novo Cafe has plenty of available street parking. Nice quiet neighborhood gem! Perfect for comfort food vibes, chill space. 🤩👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

The menu does Not disappoint. Just being there to pick up our food made me wish we'd dine in. The staff so helpful and wonderful. Then the food, I had the clam spaghetti and so happy I did. You guys then there's the flour less chocolate cake. Seriously stop in for a treat, these wonderful people have your back. Oxox!

Food was good. That sauce on the chicken marsala was so yummy. The potatoes were just meh, but I used them to get all the sauce up :) The cannoli was fantastic. Rich ingredients and the tiny hint of lemon which tells me it was fresh and homemade. One star down because the olive oil our patio table was infiltrated, as nature does sometimes on patios (gnats). But no one noticed until I picked it up to use it. Ew. (They replaced it when I flagged someone down). But beside that, service was very good and the food was tasty.

Buscando lugar para comer pasamos por la puerta y decidimos entrar. Comimos muy bien. El panini de pollo muy rico y abundante, no así la porción de lasaña, dejo un comensal con hambre. La limonada estaba un poco dulce para mí gusto, pero dicen que es normal en general.
El precio bien con respecto a la calidad-precio
La cajera un poco seca pero se entiende que era un horario complicado con bastante gente

Sehr süßes Italienisches Restaurant direkt neben The Tangerine Hotel.
Das Essen war richtig lecker…die Pasta war auf den Punkt gekocht.
Der Vorspeisensalat war frisch und ebenfalls lecker.
Das Tiramisu konnte dann alles perfekt abrunden.

Novo cafe has had weekly citations issued due to lack of compliance with COVID Health Officer Order since January 2021. It seems like this restaurant does not care to follow the rules when it comes to COVID.

Sea bass and the chicken marsala was delightful. The place was extremely understaffed, and the poor girl helping us was doing her best with a cheerful, happy and kind personality. Management needs to reanalysis their staffing needs. Other then that, good ambiance.

What wonderful BurrattaToast: Concentrated balsalmic vinegar, creamy burratta, multigrain nut bread, and much shredded basil. The best I have had. We also had chopped green salad with salmon and homemade ravioli. Couldn't have been better. The house wine was a delicious Tuscan blend and the Nonna Cake we split for dessert was better than Grandma's. Easy to recommend this place.

A delightful first post-pandemic dine-in (though we did sit outside in the covered patio, which was very charming) experience! Lobster ravioli was delicious, portions are sizeable (one friend's lasagna was huge, the other's pesto dish enormous!), and great wine selection. Loved it.

I would rate 0 stars if possible. My husband and I went on a Saturday afternoon. There were probably 5 other groups already sat, only one group seemed to be waiting on food, the others looked about done. We sat down, asked for water while we looked over the menu. 15 minutes go by and not one person spoke to us. I made eye contact with a waitress at least 5 times and she just kept on walking. My husband went inside to ask about ordering and was told to “take your seat”. The same waitress watched us walk out and didn’t say anything. We were really looking forward to the meal but the service was abysmal. I recommend Olive and Thyme just across the street. Great service and good food.

Beware, if you don’t order drinks right when you sit down, you won’t see a “waiter” again. Save your time and eat and one of the other many great establishments in the area.
