It's been awhile since I visited. It was a pleasure to visit for this occasion. My friend's 21st birthday celebration 🎉 Wasn't aware we can book a private area. Food still delicious and the service was phenomenal. Can't wait to come back to have my favorite dish 😋

Food is not exceptional nor horrible. Middle of the road with good service. Beware as they automatically add the tip without telling you (not posted on the menu or anywhere else)… we were a small party of 3. I did not appreciate the strong arm tipping “requirement”

Wow! Beautiful and welcoming g environment. First time visiting. The greeter is welcoming and happy. The service is less than one star. The food I would not recommend. If you don't believe me, go try it for yourself.

This is one of those places that we have driven by countless times. So even though it was Mother’s Day, we opted to give it a shot. Surprisingly, we were sat immediately.

Our waiter was friendly and I appreciated his recommendation for the tongue with Spanish sauce. Now I messed up by stuffing myself with chips and salsa.

We started with La Botana (the Mexican sampler: mini taquitos, flautas, sour cream, guacamole, corn and flour quesadillas). I wish the salsa was more spicy. The tongue was moist and flavorful. I thought it was odd to include olives but I truly enjoyed it.
My wife went with the three piece flautas combo served with rice and beans.

I have to say that my wife and I will be back again.

Went with my pa. Out door seating. I ordered cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. They serve chips and yummy spicy salsa while you wait. The waiters were nice and helping every one. I did get a glass of water that was dirty affffff but I always check my water at any restaurant. My food was good and my dad liked his. Had great music playing. Might take my bf there.

Had my 20 year high school reunion at Barragans! Laura was incredible, helping us every step of the way. The staff really went above and beyond for us, they even hung up our signs and helped set up. On all fronts, hands down the best Mexican restaurant!

I've loved this place for years, even up to the time my Mom passed and we had her celebration of life in the back patio.
Unfortunately, they are understaffed (IMO) and they are struggling to keep their tables happy? Monday Margaritas are too sweet. Monday tacos are sub par and the best part of the meal was the cold crispy iceberg salad. It came with great blu cheese dressing so, there is that. At the end of the day, I will come back but, I hope the overall service and food stars up by one!!!

Vacationing from the Midwest live for our Mexican food. First time but hopefully not the only time. I'm am fussy and Mexican this place was fantastic nice patio great interior nicely decorated and clean. Every plate I seen go by me made me wanted more. Large portions the aroma filled the senses. It is definitely worth your time and money you will not be disappointed. Family owned is a big plus not a chain. A chain has no life no love in their food.

Barragan's was delicious, well cooked and seasoned meats. The soups were delicious and the portions were big. I would highly recommend asking the waiter how big the servings are before ordering. The staff is lively and will take good care of you. The food is not cheap, but it's worth what you pay for. Barragan's does reservations and events here as well

I asked for beef and chichen fajitas , I really didn't like them, I tried Fajitas from El Torito from Redondo Beach, they are the best ones I tried . Barragans cooked them in julienne straps very thin and mixed them together with the chicken, and I tried them separate at the other restaurant at ElTorito, and in bigger pieces., very dissapointed, but the atmosphere is okey

This is a great little spot that's been here for years. It's a mix of Mexican/American cuisine.
Drinks are well made and not watered down. I usually like having their menudo or their chilaquiles with a side of margaritas.
The atmosphere is casual and layback, with the majority of their costumers being regulars. We'll priced menu as well. It's a good regular spot to come back and back again

Stopped in for a quick beer. Decided to try the à la cart chili relleno… let me tell you this was the worst chili relleno I’ve ever had! And at $24 for 2 beers and 1 chili relleno on HAPPY HOUR!!! I will never be back and honestly, if you aren’t breaking away from the nursing home for an afternoon, STAY AWAY!!! Live tastebuds will be so sad.

Delicious Mexican food is served at Barragan's! I really enjoyed my enchiladas, beans and rice meal. Guacamole and chips were quite tasty. Lunch special is fairly budget-friendly. Nice ambiance. A beautiful ( and quite large) outdoor patio makes for a pleasant dining experience. Definitely recommend.

I'd been here once before and had a great experience. Tonight however, was the opposite. Both my dinner date and I are trying to be healthy/work with dietary restrictions and made minor adjustments to our entree orders. Neither of them arrived correctly, and for mine it was a food intolerance issue as well. Our food initially took so long to come out, we had the greasy chips with salsa, which was too spicy. They brought a plain tomato paste type sauce as an alternative plus a green cause that looked like just a bunch of onion and cilantro dumped on top - it was gross. The food took a very long time to come out, and I am pretty sure my meal, which I sent back, was just plopped onto a new plate and brought out as it was not hot and came out super fast - yet still incorrectly made. I started feeling sick after trying to eat it, and the veggies didn't look fresh. As a gluten-free vegetarian, this was a bad experience, and not worth the $60 price tag. (My dinner date wasn't able to get any of the items he wanted - they were all substitutions that weren't great, and he mentioned the water tastes tap not filtered - chlorine heavy.) Our server was nice but disappeared often and didn't make any adjustments to the bill despite the multiple mistakes with the food order. We were walked past some outdoor restrooms to the parking lot tables without being asked if that was ok for outdoor seating as there was an upper patio. There were water spots on the silverware, and the staff was on their phones or looked miserable. As a former restaurant manager, I was cordial but so very disappointed with this experience. It's becoming increasingly challenging to find quality places to eat out - something I rarely do anymore. Needless to say, we won't be back to this restaurant.

We went for dinner and it was delicious. I had the flautas, and Mom had the carnitas. The pork was perfectly seasoned and tender. The best I've tasted in a while. Our waitress was friendly and the restaurant was colorful and inviting.

Highly recommend.
I owed my dad a father's day lunch. my husband found Barragan's. The service was wonderful they were on it with drinks and their complimentary chips and salsa (which were good). I ordered their Grande Burito, and boy was it. The red sauce was delicious the steak was prime. I live in Pomona, and I would take the 30+ miles to eat here.

We celebrated a staff retirement and work luncheon with 50 people on the patio. It was a perfect day. The food, service and ambience was perfect. Everyone commented what a great time they had and it's a tough crowd to please everyone. :)

Rose was wonderful- she helped me with planning a late lunch after my dad’s funeral. We had the back room to ourselves & Rose even printed a special menu with my dad’s information at the top for my guests - I think everyone had 3 options to pick from. I was so impressed with the service & the food along with all of my guests. It made the day so special & so much easier than I had hoped for or expected.!

Ripped off, a simple cheese quesadilla $13.00 dollars? Just cheese, and a tortilla? Bad service, bar area is so deppresing, a bunch of old guys presumably being young, louder, cheap!

The servers were top-notch. I was there for a group event and don't care for Mexican food, so I will not comment. We sat outdoors on a perfect day, and it was beautiful. Again, the servers were on top of everything, making sure glosses & chip baskets stayed full. They were friendly and joyful.

Ok so we tried this place after passing multiple times. All we can say is this is now the only Mexican restaurant we will go to. From the very first moment we stepped in to the beautiful peaceful patio they made us feel like we were family. Ramiro was our waiter and he was amazing he is fast and efficient. He then brought out his famous special Salsa and told us this is for family and we were now family. It was so good there food is beyond amazing hot and plenty of flavor, you may think the prices are a little high but you get what you pay for you will not leave hungry I can guarantee that. The whole staff is great and cheerful thank you guys for the awesome time.
