We sat outside as the weather was perfect and the heaters also helped keep us comfortable. The service was attentive even though we were one of only 2 parties outside. If I have one thing to say it GET the queso fundido!!!! It was amazing! The margs were perfect and the carnitas were seasoned to perfection! The whole experience was 10/10. Definitely recommended and now a mandatory stop when in Burbank!

My wife and I were headed to a different restaurant, when we walked past Don Cuco's after parking our car. The smell of the food coming from this restaurant pulled me in to check out the menu. We ended up eating here, and now have a new favorite Mexican restaurant.

Best authentic Mexican restaurant I've been to in a long time. The food and atmosphere are amazing. Big menu, friendly and quick service, full bar, and plenty of seating.

Didn't have to wait at all to be seated on a Saturday night and the food was served shortly after ordering without a long wait. Chips and salsa were made in house and were great. I ordered the combo fajita and it was cooked perfectly and sizzling, as it should, when served. The shrimp, chicken, and steak were delicious and bountiful.

My only gripe is that the lighting was very dim. People with any sort of vision problems may have trouble reading the menu. Other than that, this place sets the bar for excellent authentic Mexican cuisine.

This has got to be some of the freshest Mexican Cuisine I've ever had! Taco shells are made fresh, their Taquitos are made fresh, the meat is seasoned to absolute perfection and everything about this place says "A True Mexican Experience!!!"
Perhaps most enjoyable is the manner in which they put customers first and foremost.
They believe strongly in the fact that the customer is always right!
Truly made me feel right at home in their comfortable environment and family hospitality!

What a place to stumble upon. We had some time to kill before heading to the airport, and google a different nearby bar, that had no parking. We ended up parking directly in front of Don Cucos, and what a stroke of luck!

It's beautiful inside, with stained glass windows, and fantastic Mexican tiles. Leather booths that scream for a romantic couple to sit close, and open tables for more people. The service is outstanding... top notch really. The house margaritas were generous in size, and you can taste the tequila.

I wish we had time to eat, because the complimentary house salsa was amazing, and the chips were very fresh.

Anytime I go to Burbank Airport, I'm gonna stop in again. So impressed with this place.

I've been a loyal customer of Don Cuco Mexican Restaurant in Burbank for years, and it remains my go-to spot for authentic and delicious Mexican cuisine. One of the best perks of dining in Downtown Burbank is the free parking, although finding a space can take a bit of time. I usually park in the nearby structure, which is convenient.

As soon as you step into Don Cuco, you're greeted by their festive decor and fun atmosphere. Fresh chips and salsa are promptly brought to your table, kicking off the meal on a high note. The menu at Don Cuco is extensive, offering a wide variety of Mexican specialties and traditional staples. Whether you're in the mood for a combination plate, a la carte items, or a full meal, there's something for everyone. Most dishes are priced under $20.00, making it an affordable option for any occasion.
The ambiance is nice, with a touch of old Hollywood dim lighting that creates a cozy and intimate setting. It's a great spot for date nights, girls night out, family dinners, parties, or even takeout orders.

During my recent visit, we ordered a large guacamole dip, southwest chicken salad, chile relleno and taco plate, shrimp fajitas for one, steak encebollada, and chile verde. As well as margaritas and beers that hit the spot. The portions were generous, each dish was flavorful, well-prepared, and satisfying. Whether you're a long-time customer like me or a first-time visitor, you're sure to have a memorable dining experience. Highly recommend!

It was my first time visiting downtown Burbank and was excited to check out this restaurant. As a Mexican, I gravitated towards a food I knew and grew up eating.

From the beginning, the greeter was very friendly and seated us. The server (Juan), however, was another story. When he took our order, the felt rushed and didn’t ask us how we wanted our sides or choice of meat. I asked him about one of the plates and didn’t know what plate I was referring to. Later, it felt like he wanted us out so he could seat other people perhaps? We weren’t there for even 20 minutes and the whole experience with him left me feeling disheartened by how poorly he treated my family and I. He snatched our plates away and came by twice to take our check despite the restaurant being empty. Growing up going to Mexican restaurants, I always feel right at home because of their hospitality, but it’s unfortunate that this experience with the server left me not wanting to come back.

Other than this rude, rushed server, everything was alright, but not authentic.

Food was great here, and it looks amazing inside. Me and my partner were put off by our server.

When we were first sat down, my partner left me to go wash his hands in the restroom. The server came by and asked me if I knew what to drink, but said, “Any drinks I can get you girl?” And I said not yet, figuring he said girl more as a “friendly” greeting and not in a rude way, but then he turns around and says “Well here’s the drink menu, let me know what you want girl.” As soon as my partner gets back, the waiter comes back and suddenly with him the server is only saying “What can I get for you sir?” “Is everything alright sir?” And for the rest of the dinner, the server never once asks me a question. It’s only directed towards my partner.

This isn’t enough to sway me from coming back, but it did feel pretty disrespectful. I just hope I don’t get that server again in the future.

3.5/5 Late Post
It's been a while since my last visit to Don Cuco's. The chips and salsa are tasty and well-seasoned. I tried the pastor carne and arroz con pollo. Both dishes were part of a combo where you could choose between soup or salad. My partner and I went for both soups of the day: albondigas and chicken tortilla. The albondigas was rich in flavor but overly salty, while the chicken tortilla was the better choice that day.
The arroz con pollo was decent, but covered in a lot of cheese and sour cream. The pastor carne was smaller than expected and lacked flavor - maybe it all went into the soup? The rice and beans were okay, but I would prefer the beans without onion and tomato in them.

The service was average and could be improved. The servers were lacking in some areas, such as not refilling water promptly; we had to ask twice. Additionally, tortillas should be a standard when ordering Mexican food, but we had to request them. The atmosphere is dimly lit and romantic. They were quite busy on a Wednesday evening. They offer outdoor seating, and although I can't recall seeing outdoor heaters in the patio area but they are dog-friendly!

The place is poorly lit and it’s hard to read the menu but they have a huge choice of food. I hear the drinks are great but I don’t drink. There is this cool fountain in the place which is interesting. The folks came out and sang happy birthday in front of our daughter. She wore this huge sombrero which was cool. We had a large party yesterday , we were there from noon till 2:00 celebrating our niece & nephew moving. Service was not great, but we understood because a few of our guests had an emergency & arrived late .With all of the excitement . I left a. card addressed to the family I was giving it to , in the booth tabletop , the card was placed in a see-through plastic cover and sealed and it contained a gift card. It was left by mistake on the table and instead of the busboy, handing it to the manager they said it wasn’t there! This is inexcusable! When something is left at a restaurant table, the employee usually brings it to the restaurant manager , however the manager said the employees were not there & had gone home & was rude when I called !
This breaks my heart that people can’t be honest & do the right thing!!
