The Cafe de Olla was to die for. I never refused a refill and must have had 5 cups of this incredible coffee. The Chilaquiles Suizo was the best I've ever had and the atmosphere here while being with family and just hearing how active and happy everyone here seemed was just magical. I'd come visit this state again just for a chance to come back to MexCocina Cafe.

Nothing better than finding a restaurant serving chilaquiles in the middle of the week. The best is when the chilaquiles is also fantastic. You can get it with green or red salsa with the option of adding asada... which I did.

Traveling from out of town looking for a local restaurant and MexCocina Café did not disappoint. The Verde chilaquiles were so good! They also give you an option to add a meat to your meal for an additional charge but the plate itself was plenty. 4 of us had breakfast for about $80. Portions are very large. Highly Recommend for a local authentic Mexican breakfast.

Service was amazing. The staff is very attentive and friendly. As for flavor we ordered the chilaquiles a la bandera to try both red and green sauce but I really feel it lacked in flavor I’ve very aspect but my son loved it but then again it wasn’t spicy he finished all his eggs . I can’t believe it tho how pricey this place is $107.26 for 3 ppl every drink is $6

Food is delicious! Service is on point! This place has the best chilaquiles I've had in Southern California that are not homemade! Plus, the owners are from the state of Jalisco!!! Real Mexican owners with a Mexican restaurant! The way it should it should be! I don't give a DAMN if you think I'm a so called gatekeeper! F all that! If you are Mexican and you know what it means to be one, you will understand where I'm coming from! If you are looking for AUTHENTIC Mexican food, this is the spot!!! 👍🏻👍🏻 😉

I love coming here for the Cafe de Olla, and I usually order the red chilaquiles or chorizo breakfast burrito. Their old fashion pancakes, I have given them 3 tries, and they get worse every time. Their pancakes are so dry! I recommend not wasting your money on them. One time I kindly asked if I could get them replaced because of how dry they were that I could not eat them, and they said they would all taste the same, hinting they make them and have them sitting; thus, why they get old and dry. Nonetheless, their other food is so tasty; thus, why it is always so busy on the weekends, so I recommend going early! If not, expect to wait a good while till you're seated.

Overall a 5, very lively folks working. They definitely have the customer service down, the menu is actually insane. They have something for everyone. Only complaint was that the tortillas were hard so I couldn’t eat all of them. However, the food has a good flavor. The longer I was there the mor the more food I wanted to inhale.

Review №99

Sadly, this is one of the only Mexican food establishments where I've actually sent food back. 😥

The chile rellano and enchilada plate was actually gross.. Frozen and reheated via microwave, no doubt 😕 chile rellano was actually hard to cut through, and dry as hell.. the enchilada was very mediocre, and the rice and beans needed help.

I liked the patio and the music, but I probably won't come back for anything on the menu. All the fried dishes we tried tasted as though the oil was a bit old, and quite frankly, there are significantly better spots within walking distance.

worth noting - this venue does not serve house salsa or chips to guests complimentary as most other venues would, and the hard shelled shredded beef taco looked like they tried way to hard to make something simple into an overkill item that is equal parts difficult to eat and disappointing.

Bottom line.. not worth.

I took my wife here because I came to pick up the Mex Cafe De Olla coffee for his party. He called ahead of time so they knew I was coming with the coffee container. I heard of this place before and wanted to take my wife here for breakfast but haven't had the chance yet. It's basically street parking here unless you find a spot in the little plaza it's in. The place has a indoor and outdoor dining area. The food looked delicious and they were pretty busy in the afternoon for a Saturday when I came. The indoor atmosphere is nice but small inside so you're better off sitting outside. My wife wanted to try their strawberry horchata so I put in an order of that as well. The staff are very friendly and my wife along with all the party guest loved the Mexican coffee. My wife said the strawberry horchata was too sweet so she likely will order just the coffee when we go back which we will.

If you are really hungry DON’T come to this place. It takes forever to be seated and even longer for them to bring your food. Moreover, they bring one plate at the time so by the time everyone have their food, your food is already cold, and if you complain to the manager he will come up with the most stupid excuse. Besides when they call your name they call you by nicknames from Mexican characters. Very disrespectful specially when you don’t know them.

Let’s just talk about the food. It’s authentic. It’s cooked to order. The tacos Cameroon are amazing! Fantastic rice and beans. I like their hibiscus drink and of course their coffee. The food is super fresh. Their fajitas are amazing! I’ve been coming once a week and for three people to have a sit down meal that it’s that good for under $60. Today is amazing! Everything is cooked to perfection. You should really check out their breakfast menu. It is extensive. You will be blown away at your choices. The places are always packed. There’s a lot of parking on the street. We sit outside. When you’re in the area, you should try it. I’ve been loyal to another restaurant for the past 30 years. But I’ve made the transition to this restaurant because think the food is superior to the other one.

RIDICULOUSLY good chilaquiles! Get the tomatillo and creama sauce. A sign of a great kitchen is always their skill at delicious, thoughtful sauces. This simple, buzzing busy little place has that in the bag! If I wanted to taken friend to an authentic Mexican place where food tastes like a Mexican mom’s homemade food, it’d be here.

They have 4 sauce options for chilaquiles which is like, never.. It’s my fave thing and I’ve eaten them from NYC to Mexico City! Creamy sauces are alway most scrumptious so that’s another good sign for a place.

Chips are another test, and they have those thick hearty ones (probably homemade) that can split a bit…so they’re stay that perfect soft AND crispy as they drown in sauce🥰

Even their green and red-ish salsas on the side just in the bag are worth mentioning as special.

Love that I just stumbled on this place when I was craving some chilaquiles and it’s google’s 1st result. Warranted!😋
