What Up Dough is a unique Pizza experience that emphasizes the quality of all things we serve to our customers. Our dough is a special recipe that our co-founder Justin Piazza has formulated over his 35 years of pizza making. We serve our signature Roman style, Detroit style and NY style pies. Not to mention our wings, high-end focaccia style sandwiches, and other signature items. We are a Burbank local business and look forward to providing our community and beyond with the best pizza we possibly can.
Heard about this place online and definitely had to check it out just for the name alone! Made a special trip on my way back from the Griffith observatory. They close at 7 on Sunday. I got there around 6, so unfortunately, some of the slices aren't available at the end of the day. I ordered a traditional pepperoni and cheese pizza with 6 lemon pepper wings. Overall, the pizza and wings were good. Cool little spot with a cool theme to it. They've got a great location since they are across the street from a Burbank staple Portos. A good slice of pizza if you're in Burbank.

This restaurant is totally new so they are just starting to get their feet wet. They offer a variety of styles of pizza. They have slices all day in addition to regular sized pizzas. We ordered Piggy Smalls to go. The bread part was very focaccia-like and delicious but I didn't love the prosciutto which was more like sandwich meat and added cold on top. I am excited to go back to eat in and try something different!

Saw this spot on the food show with AD and DoKnow and I happened to be in Burbank for a conference so I had to stop. The owner that was in the show was there, homie is solid real good people super down to Earth. He talked to me for a minute and thanked me for coming in.
The pizza was really good, I got a slice of the Walter White, I think the machine (thick and regular crust) also got the lemon pepper wings and a cannoli.
Everything was really good, the wings were cooked to perfection and they were seasoned just right. I liked both styles of pizza dough, the Walter White doesn’t have sauce but it’s not dry at all. The cannoli was really good not too sweet. Pizza is one of my favorite things to eat so I’ll be back next time I’m in SoCal for sure. If you like pizza you gotta stop here.

Ordered delivery since there was a BOGO deal on DoorDash. How can you say no to that?? To our surprise the pizza size was gigantic and so we were granted 2 huge pizzas upon delivery. We got the thin crusted regular NY style pizza. The crust and the way it was made/cooked was actually really good - the only thing we didn't like too much was the sauce. It was a little too sweet for our liking and it really off put the pizza for us as a whole. We gave our neighbor the second box and they said they really enjoyed it - so to each their own I guess! We'll probably give this place another try to try the Detroit style pizza they have.

Enjoyed the cheese NY style pizza. Only criticism would be that there was no prosciutto in the piggie smalls panino. Don’t church it up…that’s straight up sliced ham. Would go again for the pizza (gotta try the 8Mile), but would skip the panino.

My mom and I wanted to try it out since it was new and exciting, however, the staff wasn’t. The staff was really lackluster and not doing their job. Everyone was standing behind the counter, in a circle, talking about nonsense. Then the lady finally noticed us and asked “what do you want” not a proper greeting to a new customer. I then felt less than since the whole staff decided to snap their heads around at me, look me up and down, and then continue to talk and laugh right in front of me. I am absolutely appalled by the greeting and the atmosphere of the work place and left a sour taste in my mouth. We went to Dino’s Pizza after anyways which is way better and a lot more inviting and friendly. Doesn’t matter if you have high schoolers working there or not, there needs to be a change in yalls customer service training if you want people to keep coming back. Doesn’t matter how great the food is, the environment and the workers are the ones that make the experience better.

Pizza was edible, but did not much resemble what was advertised. Both the Veggie Noble and the Walter White did not appear to have all that was stated. Not recommended.

I ordered takeout pizza and buffalo wings. I paid $4 for pepperoni. I received no pepperoni.
It's unfortunate, because the pizza was actually quite good.
The wings were okay, but rather puny for $2 a piece. I don't recommend them.
I will be returning for the pizza. Hopefully they can manage to get the order right next time, and maybe I can manage to increase my rating.

Really happy we tried this place such good reviews! We tried the Detroit style it was ok but found it to be very salty. Not sure if we just got an “off” one or not. Growing up on Buddy's pizza in Detroit I guess I am a bit picky! 😁. I think I will try the NY style next time.

Never been but saw a review on Tik Tok and wanted to try, it was overpriced average pizza. Came in at 615 and they close at 7pm, they said they were busy with other orders and could only offer me what slices they already had or a full pizza. We ordered 6 slices and when the slices came they missed 3 and by the time they realized it they had no slices left to buy. There was no ice in soda machine, they ran out of plates and they had issues with other customers orders in the seating area as well. Maybe just a bad night for them but I would go elsewhere.

They have that good NY style with the crispy edge pepperoni, but you should definitely try the Detroit style if you like 'em a lil thicker.

What an amazing place!!Absolutely fantastic pizzas. The Roman and the Detroit are must haves, as are the white slice and cheese slice. Being from NY, I always am searching for a taste of home, and this place is it. The owner is the nicest guy you’ll ever meet. He sat down and spoke to me, made sure I was taken care of, and even gave me some free slices to make sure I was all good. Couldn’t recommend this place more and cannot wait to come back.

Can’t believe everyone isn’t giving this place 5 stars. This place has QUALITY pizza and the wings are amazing!! Small and crispy- the lemon pepper is my fave. The pizza dough is top tier. The folks talking about price blah blah blah—every restaurant has gone up in price and have you ever heard, “you get what you pay for?? ”. Go to McDonalds if you want cheap food! And even then you’ll spend no less than $50 for a family of four. Rather spend $50 on an amazing pizza and wings myself. Customer service is amazing as well.

We’ve ate here multiple times now, and recently started ordering for delivery as well. You really can’t go wrong with any of their pizzas…their crust is truly one of a kind and always baked to perfection. They also have some very tasty, unique flavored wings; I love the lemon pepper ones. We haven’t ate pizza or wings from any other place since they’ve opened, definitely my family’s new go to 🍕 spot.

Ok so I ordered delivery and the good things were it got here on time and the dough was decent. The bad things were I ordered the "Walter White" with sausage and red bell peppers and what I got was overcooked peperoni and about 6 thin slices of the peppers. I also ordered the basic red sauce pizza with garlic and jalapeños and it was just ok. I'm willing to give a pass on the mistakes of the one pizza because the dough was decent and it was cooked good and it's a new place but overall the experience wasn't great on the delivery so the next chance I will have to go in and try a fresh pizza...

Tried it and i honestly wouldn’t get it again. There is too much cheese and not enough sauce. Pepperoni has some weird taste to it and over all the pizza is too salty. Also, the dough is far from light and fluffy and the basil. Who puts basil on a Detroit style pizza? I’m from Detroit and made Detroit style pizza as a teenager and this is not it. I’d rather have Jet’s. IYKYK
I do love the name of the pizza joint. A great play on the Detroit greeting, “what up doe”? Too bad there was already a What up Dough pizza joint in Detroit already. Y’all aren’t from Detroit either.

I'll come back at least once a week for that square pie- Those wings are 🔥 too!!! That lemon pepper wing is something else. The service is perfect, Serge and Justin make you feel like family. And the best part is the music, they bump the hip hop i grew up on, not the garbage that is out there lately they call "hip hop". Def a 10/10, I'll be back next week.

The pizza here is NOT the right size for the price. In the website, the meat lovers Roman style pizza is 38 dollars, but they charged me 39 and then added extra fees on top of the tax. I gave a 6 dollar tip even though I picked it up and it ended up costing 51.43 .50 dollars for a pizza and they don’t even have garlic knots. They claimed they get “cleaned out” by 7pm. You’re a pizza place. You can’t cook dough and slap garlic on it? Then how are you making pizzas? That actually pizza was decent, but definitely not with the price. I’d pay 20 something but 50 bucks? I know inflation sucks, but it’s not that bad. Also I had trouble getting in because they had the front door locked for some reason.

You think you know where to get pizza in Burbank, but if it’s anywhere other than What Up Dough, you’re probably wrong. No hate to those other spots, but this pizza excels in every aspect. We ordered the spicy sopressata, NY-style, for takeout. It was ready in 15 minutes. I loved the vibe in the shop. The guy at the oven had the confidence of knowing he is slinging the best pies. Cause he is. Gorgeous, fresh, high-quality ingredients on our pizza. Sauce was perfect and just the right amount. Dough was really some of the best we’ve had. Good flavor, chewy, with a nice crispy bite. Took it home to eat on the patio with a glass of cold white wine. This is special pizza for a perfect weeknight treat. What Up Dough— you’re in the rotation now.

Wow. I was in the area for a totally unrelated reason but the smell emanating and the funny name piqued my curiosity. I don't know about you but I tend to trust pizza shops where the staff has neck tattoos.. so I decided to order.
Staff were super friendly and took the time to explain why they're different. Sureeeeee I thought, I've heard it all before and have grown to accept pizza is just not something LA does well. I've tried pizza at all the best rated spots in the area including Mozza. So I don't say this lightly when I say this is absolutely the best slice of pizza I've had in LA in a very long if not ever.
I'm glad I don't live close by my waistline couldn't handle it.
