BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse

Bread bowls were burned, hot wings were burned & I couldn't eat it. Just packed it because I had paid for it. calamari burned. This is the 3rd time I went there & no pork chops again. 😭. It was my son's birthday. I'm not sure I will be back here. I've been coming here for years prior to this experience last night.

This was a one and done for us. We went for dinner on a Sunday, and it was packed. Valet was 8 dollars with gratuities appreciated posted on the sign.
We apparently beat the big crowd, as there was a large crowd when we left.
Walking in, there were two hostesses behind the desk, and as I was waited to put my name on the waiting list, I remarked to my wife that we were not greeted, and it seemed as though they were avoiding eye contact at all cost. They were polite when taking our name, but I was surprised at not getting a "welcome" or a "we'll be right with you."
I had the Philly, which was brought out with a coagulated slice of cheese and very dry. The roll was good, though, as were the fries.
My wife had the Mandarine calamari, which was very light on the drizzle. Maybe they were running low.
We also had 2 beers and a Pazookie trio.
This was a miss for us. There are too many great places within the surrounding blocks of downtown Burbank to choose from.

Came for my friends birthday. Our server Sophia was genuinely wonderful. So attentive, made great suggestions, personable and made us all really enjoy our experience even more. This was only my second time at a BJs and I was genuinely impressed because of my experience this time.

We had an amazing meal tonight at BJ’s celebrating my friend Emerson’s birthday. Our server Sophia was so friendly and helpful and made our dinner that much more special. Everything was delicious especially the pretzel and pizza. Will be back soon. Thanks Sophia!

Sherry was an amazing waitress when we came. Was quick to get us our food and beverages and came by often to ask if we needed refills or wanted to order anything else. She was amazing and made the experience even better!

Besides for the food, which is always good for our liking, Robert (our server) did an amazing job. He was always on top of everything and making sure that every order was correct. Top notch service. Keep up the great job!

We had a nice birthday dinner and Sophia took such great care of us it was like having a friend take care of us. Would absolutely recommend 👌 if you can have Sophia as your server ask for her she is so sweet and kind! Great food, bit busy but a great time

Update: Jennalyn was great, so I had to update.
Service was better than usual and I love the $13 pizookie deal! The below was from about a year ago I think. Ignore.

We’ve had good service a handful of times, but it’s more likely it’ll be subpar. I just plan on that and I’m not as disappointed. The food is usually decent. Can’t beat a pizookie! They used to have fun tea flavors, but that’s gone, apparently. Now it’s just syrupy sweet raspberry or not sweet at all. Puh. Maybe it’s better if you drink, which I don’t, but they seem to have a lot of different beers . As it is, I’d almost rather go anywhere else, honestly. But we go here once in a while if a movie runs late, and I just know I will spend part of the evening wondering where the server went and how long till they return. Keep your expectations low and you won’t be disappointed!

I love most everything about BJs! The food is phenomenal, nearly everything on their menu. It’s just fun to come and hang out here. I love the energy and vibe!
Service is always top-notch! Hats off to Marshall for pristine service last week. What a fantastic server!!!

However, I recommend making reservations because it does fill up pretty quickly and parking is a pain in-the-ass!
They need to eliminate valet here! It’s downtown Burbank for crying out loud!
This isn’t West Hollywood!
Honestly, we started only coming back after ages because my daughter had dessert awards racking up from school, and the closest location was Burbank. It’s also an excuse to eat out and just celebrate with her.
But we may be heading out to the WH location in the future, mainly because we are not inconvenienced to park.

We had some excellent service today at BJs! First of Hilda was an excellent & attentive server and went out of her way to help us learn that by spending just a little more, we'd get more food! We appreciated her helpful suggestions. Then we were but gift cards on the way out and we're served by Kit. Again, top notch service! She helped us budget getting gifts for friends but still have a little bonus for ourselves! Thank you to both of these ladies and their cheerful, patient, and kind demeanor. Is something we don't always see enough of this time of year. Happy Holidays!

Our waitress was Sherry , she was so great! It was our first time at BJs and she was very attentive and came by often we were never having to hunt her down , she even noticed my husband and I wanted to split and burger and offered to get it cut in half for us. Super nice.

It is loud in there so sometimes I did have trouble hearing her a few times. And as for the food it could have been hotter, it was warm, just not hot enough.

Food took a super long time to arrive. And then the steak came out cold. Didn't bother sending it back because it was taking like 30 minutes for any food to come out.
Derrick was training frank but frank was the much better server. He was attentive to us and placed our orders, while Derrick didn't. He would come way later. Food was missing, got sent to the wrong table. A beer was taking 20 minutes to arrive.

Frank was great. Derrick sucked.

Derrick was respectful but made too much small talk and lost track of the orders we were placing. He completely missed two items. We placed orders with Frank, who was training and was very quick with the service. Derrick was barely asking us for our next order when frank had already brought it out. This restaurant needs more servers like Frank, quick and reliable.

i love bjs! (the restaurant). the ribeye was very juicy and cooked how i requested, the mashed potatoes and onion rings are pretty good, and the price you pay definitely matches the quality. sherry was very kind and answered any questions we had and made the experience fun and inviting!
