Coming here for the first time was an interesting experience. Ordered the shrimp cocktail with crab meat was a very different experience. Loved it! Love the fact they bring you an appetizer of chips and salsa and beans. Had the chance to try the carne en su jugo, lots of flavor not too bad very simple. The rice was the best so far very fluffy and perfectly cooked. The food was average to be honest but I still enjoyed it. Love the decorations of the restaurant it feels very authentic Mexican restaurant.

I got food poisoning from the shrimp fajitas & was so sick I had to go to the hospital. I had eaten here before the Pandemic with my friend & it was much better then. Service is friendly but super slow. Good margaritas but the seasoning on the food was güero style... Where's the sabor?? Pretty bland... But none of that matters because I got food poisoning. Avoid this spot, amigos.

This is my go to spot in Burbank. I really enjoy their 2 for 1 one item combo special on Monday and Tuesday. They have really solid chips and salsa and beans, superb margaritas, and their crispy tacos are wonderful. I'd say I go at least once a week and I have had nothing but a great experience with all of their wait staff and bartenders.

This is the perfect 1970s Mexican restaurant. The shrimp ceviche is as good as Holbox in downtown. The fish Veracruz is one of the best dishes of its type in LA. It tastes like someone’s grandma made it.

There aren’t enough of these 50-year-old Mexican restaurants with a nice bar.

Granadas has always been solid, and last night was no exception. Point off for the atmosphere due to the weird table where it was going to be 6 on one side, 2 on the other and forcing us to couple up by sharing the 4 menus they gave us.

Came here 15 years ago and wasn’t sure I wanted to come back, but my family insisted on trying them because they haven’t. I wish they would listen to me. Jeez.

Granadas is extremely dated, drab and not so clean looking. Service was ok. The busers are actually better than the server.

I’m very bewildered by the reviews. I’m truly starting to believe that there is a lot of people in this world that just don’t know what good food is because they haven’t had it. No fault of anyone’s but I’m truly not sure how this business has stayed in business as long as it has. Loyal local Burbank patrons I’m sure is what keeps a float.

When we went into the restaurant there wasn’t anyone to greet us. We waited along with a different party of guests for about 5 minutes before someone greeted us. The person who greeted us didn’t even know where to seat us then states “we’ll sit where you want”.

We sit down and we’re giving a small bowl of salsa and refried beans. The beans were amazing! The refried beans were the star out of all the food we ordered. Why do you say the refried beans were the star? Well, they were to a T authentic. Beans and lard. The salsa tasted like tomato sauce with heat. Mix the salsa with the beans and you have a great duo.

Then you must deal with children who run a muck and no one says anything and parents do nothing. Trust…I have children, but I would never allow them to jump from table to table and run around the restaurant. That is so disrespectful of other guest!

My brother ordered a burrito. He said it was dry, but he couldn’t stop eating the beans…. Addictive! My mother and I we shared shrimp and steak fajitas. The shrimp were so over cooked they bounced off the table, not to mention very bland. The steak was extremely thin and somewhat burned not too much flavor at all. The rice had no flavor whatsoever. Pico de gallo was good. Not hard to mess that up anyway. Those beans though wow!

Needless to say, I was definitely not impressed. There are a few other Mexican restaurants in Burbank however, I’m not sure if I would pick this one as being the best. Not to mention the prices are a little over the top. Lots of food but not worth the price. Trust me I have no problem paying high dollar for great food, but this just isn’t unfortunately. They do have a lunch specials. So, I would go then if you did want to try.

This is not the worst place I have had but it’s definitely not the best as it says. I gave it three stars because of everything that I wrote in the review. You wanna try it? Then the beans are the tix! Seriously though I’m not a fan of this restaurant.

Small authentic restaurant offering indoor and outdoor seating. The food was so-so depending on what you ordered. I ordered the Carne asada burrito combo with beans and rice, and it was delish! My son ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, and it was garbage. There was not much room for a party of 5 in the main space, so we were sat in a part of the restaurant that could seat 5, and there was very little lighting. Could barely read the menu. The staff was great though. Very friendly and attentive. Overall, I'd go back again.
