Urban Press Winery & Restaurant elevates the Burbank dining scene with an inviting atmosphere and a focus on our California wines. Over 40 handcrafted wines are produced and sold by Urban Press, complemented by a menu of authentic Italian cuisine. Live music and a beautiful outdoor patio enhance the dining experience, perfect for a celebratory brunch or a romantic evening.
We made a last-minute reservation for dinner here and were pleasantly surprised. At first glance, the restaurant seems quite unassuming, with its narrow entrance, but the space extends much farther back than expected. After winding through several hallways and staircases, we ended up on their charming patio—a cozy spot next to a faux-Tuscan wall complete with a fountain.
The wine list, while small with only about six options, had a few decent selections by the glass. Service was attentive and friendly throughout the evening. The menu, rooted in Italian cuisine, offered a solid variety of starters and main courses. We began with fresh focaccia bread, which set a nice tone for the meal. I opted for the Manhattan-cut NY Steak, which was perfectly cooked and flavorful. My wife chose the Fusilli Alla Norma and loved it. We capped the meal with a couple of cannolis, which left us thoroughly satisfied. Overall, the meal was on the pricier side, but the quality of the food and experience made it worthwhile. Can't give it 5 stars because of the limited wine list but still great nonetheless.

Hidden gem in Burbank! We had the most amazing dinner with a wine tasting experience at this lovely and authentic place. The whole staff were absolutely fabulous and made us feel so welcome and comfortable. The food was extraordinary and the octopus was definitely the best I have ever had. Very well balanced flavors and new interesting combinations. It’s a pity we are not local otherwise we’d be regulars.

First time coming here, I came for my company holiday dinner. Treated very well and was nicely decorated for the occasion. We had a small menu to choose from, I had the chicken piccata, it was juicy and flavorful. They had appetizers that were also delicious. I would definitely come back to try some more of their wines. Small little complain was that they ran of beer at our dinner and the cannoli was bland.

What a pleasant experience it was to finally find a nice cozy vibe in Burbank, Ca. I had the pizza and it was a bit dry, but the brunch looked amazing. I'll do the brunch next time.
The true highlight was the energy of the musicians and Linda A. Smith. Ms. Smith is a great singer/leader and the band was simply beautiful. Thanks for a great Sunday Evening. I will return.

I went to the Urban Press Winery & Restaurant last night. Boy that place has really come into its own. It’s a legit Italian cucina.
I’m pretty wine snobby. Their 2017 Grenache Blanc was light and bright. Nice balance of fruit and dryness. It paired perfectly with the Caesar’s salad. For the main course I had a 2013 Black Label Cab. Which was big and rich and had lovely tannins and was perfect with the Spaghetti.
The Caesar Salad was on point. The you could taste the delicate blend of anchovies with the parmigiano. There was no shortage of Parm shavings.
I had the Spaghetti Bolognese which was some of the best I’ve has in Los Angeles.
For desert we had the Tiramisu and poached pair. The tiramisu was good, but the pair was outstanding.
We ate in the patio mezzanine which had a pair of swamp coolers for the heat and heaters for the cold. The large Italian murals created a lovely scene. The service was excellent and I look forward to going back soon.

A very good place to go for a birthday celebration, date, dinner, wine tasting, or just a nice night out in Burbank. I took my wife to Urban Press Winery for her birthday dinner and she was extremely impressed! Live music, nice lighting, gourmet food, great seating indoor and outdoors… it was the perfect way to celebrate my wife’s birthday weekend! Everything was beyond incredible and amazing, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We added wine tasting to our visit and enjoyed well-crafted deserts to round out a very special weekend. I absolutely recommend this exquisite winery and restaurant to anyone in the area or even potential visitors from out of town like us to give them a try!

Employees are wonderful but management is terrible. Food is OK but overpriced, even during the happy hour special. We’ve been there several times on a Wednesday and every time we are bothered in some way by management or friends of management. Either they are loud and unruly—sitting at a table nearby with bottles of wine—or their friends bring small children and let them run around the premise with no supervision. Recently, we had to listen to kids yelling and wining, running around and hiding under tables, playing tag, etc. while trying enjoy our date night meal. No one said anything because management was chit chatting with the parents. With the amount of money we spent, we expect a calm environment to dine. Not with unsupervised children running amok, stomping, yelling, and bumping into chairs.
Not ever going back there. There are better places to dine.

They had me when I walked through the wine bottle shaped entrance into the dining area at a Yelp event in late September. The decor, the ambience and the service were top notch and so, here I am again with a few other Yelpers enjoying a Saturday night drinking delicious wine, eating and listening to a very tight 7 piece jazz band with a fabulous female vocalist!
Our server, Mario, was amazing from start to finish. He was on point with our wine selections. For DineLA they were offering a 5 glass flight for $25 with an option to pick what we liked. We all decided to pick our own and Mario who was only here for 1 week, (hard to believe:), helped us make our 5 selections. He was extremely attentive and was always there presenting the bottle when our glasses were drained. Hee hee...
Silvia, was also helpful as well as Madison, who remembered me from the yelp event. She came up to our table to say hello. They make you feel very comfortable here!
I ordered a margarita pizza (to die for! Perfect amount of cheese to sauce ratio and the crust was soft and crunchy at the same time) YUM!!! I also ordered an arugula salad with cherry tomatoes, shaved Parmesan w/balsamic dressing. It was very good but just a tad too much parmesan for me. It took over the arugula.

Breakfast is pretty delicious, I would say 8 out of 10. However, unlimited brunch is not that worth it. Each plate is a small portion. You only can order 1 dish at a time. You will finish the dish in 10 minutes and wait at least 15 minutes for another round is served. I was starving all the time, so they put a basket of bread in front of you…
Just don’t do unlimited brunch.

We had been here once before and enjoyed it SO much!
We came last night for dinner and a show and had a completely different experience. Our food order was lost and we didn't get our food for over an hour. Our waitress never apologized just got defensive, I asked to speak to the manager who admitted what had happened and apologized and said she would make it right.
Our waitress gave me dirty looks for the rest of the evening.
The beet salad was delicious but the Chicken Picatta was dry and salty when it FINALLY arrived.
When we got the bill...NOT ONLY did the manager not credit us for anything...but they DOUBLE CHARGED US for the show tix.
I had already paid for them on. line. When I brought this to the attention of the waitress, she rudely told me that I needed to speak to the manager. This was a over a $300 evening that was spoiled by bad service and compounded by being treated rudely.
It breaks my heart as I love hearing live music and this place is in Burbank, so convenient. But I don't think I'll ever return.

Not only are they known for their excellent food, but also their outstanding wine Collection that Gio has personally handcrafted . Just revisited this really cool wine bar/restaurant in Burbank on San Fernando Blvd. They have live entertainment and several places to book reservations to sit and enjoy your time. I recommend their Pizza, as its reasonably priced and a nice selection of choices. The service is good, as is the atmosphere. They have a wine club you can join that offers good deals on their bottled wine. I also recommend ypu do their wine tasting for $25 and then go a get a table and enjoy the live entertainment. For 2, the average bill is going to be roughly $130 with out tip. At least that what ours was and we had 3 glasses of wine each, one Pizza and their seared Ahi tuna.
If you're in the downtown Burbank area, do pay these guys a visit.

I really liked this place. I thought the food was good and loved the live music. I've eaten here a few times.
Then my friend threw my birthday dinner here. 4 out of 9 people got sick here from the oysters. We got norovirus and 2 of us have long haul issues from it. I had to go to Dr twice and then hospital. The health dept got involved and said 12 people got sick at this restaurant over the course of 3 days and 27 people were sick from 4 restaurants from oysters. Now it's up to 150 people in Los Angeles. This restaurant should of known that oysters from Mexico were recalled. 41 people were infected in San Diego and it's been in the news since Dec 16th. We ate here on Jan 6th.
Restaurants have a responsibility to protect their patrons from food borne illness. Sometimes things happen but this could of been avoided. This is a public health safety issue.

I had a pretty mediocre seafood risotto (undercooked & flavorless rice, can't taste any garlic or wine in the bland sauce, seafood included NO mussels or calamari & no explanation, just 3 shrimps & some clams), but I went & asked for & got 3 extra grilled shrimp which were very good & flavorful, so props for the great waitress, who also brought us our complimentary wine.
No bread comes with the entres, so we ordered a half focaccia bread (3 small pieces) & marinara sauce, which I poured over the risotto to give it flavor.
My husband's Polenta shrimp had no real flavor, it was just bland.
I wish they had angel hair pasta with shrimp & mushroom marinara sauce & complimentary garlic bread, and a nice big dinner salad with cherry tomatoes & romaine with italian dressing, but it's not on the menu (no substitutions)!
The tiramisu also was very bland, not sweet enough, but had a few pieces of nice fresh berries.
The last red wine we tasted was very good.
The Mezzanine tables had horrible uncomfortable chairs with narrow seats made for people with tiny butts & unpadded metal backs. Other areas had no padding on the chairs.
It was a very nice, fancy looking restaurant with Italian decor, chandaliers & a fountain in the patio.
We had good service, and the band was great, but we sat upstairs to avoid the $10/person cover charge & loud music in the dining room, or $25 each in the wine tasting room for 5 (only 1 oz) samples of wine, so we could hear but only see the band from right above (directly over the stage).
I'd recommend skipping the overpriced food & bring cushions for the chairs!

I had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately, the food left a lot to be desired. While the wine was delicious and the staff was friendly, the quality of the food did not match the prices.
My partner and I attended their Valentine's Day event a couple months back, which felt like a farce. The event was overpriced and felt disorganized. The ambiance was strange, even for the theme, especially the single base-boosted song that repeated upwards of 10 times. The overall experience was a letdown.
In short, while the wine and service were commendable, the disappointing food and poorly executed Valentine's Day event have left me with a negative impression of this establishment. I will not be returning and cannot recommend it to others.

Overall, The restaurants and the staff who actually did serve us while I was there were pretty nice and very informative. The only reason I give this place a 1 star is because the "manager lady" was relatively rude to us. I honestly think if you are going to talk to your customer is very not nice way ( choice for better words), She should go and get some customer service skills. Let me describe her, She wore glasses, Blonde frizzy hair all over the place and her tone of voice when speaking was not nice. I think if you are going to tell your customers " Not outside food" you should have a posted signed instead of calling your customers out in front of everyone. And when it came to paying for the bill. She shouldn't be pushing to expect a tip. You make the restaurant sound and look desperate for money. Whatever this ladys name doesn't matter really. But not going back here or recommending this place to my friends. Thanks.

Terrible service. 2 waiters, three tables, maybe 40 minutes to get... bread (stale and cold). waited another 20 to 30 before getting up to ask to order actual food, ran out of drink and had to go ask for it, had to get up and find a waiter for the check, the waiter assigned never waited on us or the two other tables in her area, the waiter who did attend us left suddenly without notice. They were both friendly enough just woefully untrained.
The food: went with a couple of simple pizza's. I love pizza and will eat almost any pizza. I would have preferred Red Barron's over what I got. The mountains of cheese could choke you.
The wine: pretty solid and very generously priced.
The atmosphere: confusing. Upscale interior with -at one point- literally Soulja Boy playing obnoxiously loud in time to gently strobing string lights. Odd pairing.
All in all. I can't give the place more than 2 stars. I wouldn't go back and I am not looking forward to the left overs which I took home mostly out of habit.
Seems well reviewed otherwise; maybe it was an off night but we observed two other couples experience pretty much everything we did.

My only complaint was that the seating was extremely, extremely tight so we were nearly touching the people behind us since the tables were not properly spaced - did not like being crammed in like sardines just so they can seat more people.

After being spoiled for years by Rochelle and Thom at Left Coast Wine Bar in Glendale and the (old) Taix on Sunset (they had great wines) most other "wine bars" have fallen embarrassingly short in service, food and wine selection.
What a refreshing surprise when my Uber dropped me off in front of a joint like the Urban Press Winery at the west end of the San Fernando Blvd Shop row in Burbank of all places.
Initially I was drawn to support an old friend (LA icon and musical prestidigitator Preston Smith - go see him next chance you get) do his 'thang' and put a few points on the boards (e.g. a decent food/drink tab) for him on a week night.
The Urban Press is a long room narrow, but roomy, place with two zones: the front room for stop in for lunch or dinner people and a back "tasting room" room that had a curtain to draw (though it was open last night) for the music stuff they do, backed by what looked like a floor to ceiling, both walls covered, wine rack; with a 4" mini grey stage that understated and appropriate for the room. (apparently they have a back patio garden that seats a few dozen that I need to check out when weather permits).
Both rooms have the requisite wine "bar" with seating for about a dozen each side, tables against the east walls and smaller tables in the "music room." Urban Press dresses their rooms in a French-Italian inspired dark wood neo-country coziness with just enough urban to fit their name and hits the bullseye on both. e.g.
I think I could live there if Dodgers baseball were appropriate at a wine bar.
I was immediately seated (poll position at the back bar near the music in the tasting room), given a quick rundown on the best wines of the night and I was off to the races. I opened with a glass of the house blend and a (small) charcuterie board and settled in for the musical offerings.
House Blend - very good - what I would expect from a red blend. This would have been the kind of wine I could cruise with all night...but I was there to sample as well.
Charcuterie Board - HUGE! That's that I got the SMALL one. Good thing I was there to eat. It lasted me the whole night and I left quite a bit. They offered to wrap it but I don't think charcutier travels well.
Musical Offerings - Preston can fill a room with soul and groove with a harmonica and a guitar. This evening's big "wow" was his take on "All Along The Watch Tower" ala Gypsy Kings with a splash of Stevie Wonder's "Another Star" mixed in for the soul. It was quite wow - and I say that having seen Prez play since I was under age drinking at The Palomino in the 80s. This was very wow.
I shouted out a request (always ask for "Two Girlfriends" - it's a great tune), drained my first glass and moved on to the Petit Verdot.
"Two Girlfriends" by Preston Smith - bluesy sardonic master piece!
Petit Verdot ("Piccolo") - OMG where has this been all my life? def: Petit Verdot is a thick-skinned red grape varietal that is small and highly valued for its color depth. Commonly used as a red blender in the traditional blends of Bordeaux. Very earthy and rich.
I will most definitely be going back for more music, food and wine with more people or maybe just that special girl (if she makes herself known to me - already!)
Parking - It's the Burbank Media Center. I Uber'ed and probably always will. Covered public parking closes their lots early and street parking is a ticket waiting is tough to find and a ticket waiting to happen - 'nuf said. Don't let that stop you.

We ran into this place last night and decided to give it a try. So glad that we did! They only had space at the bar, but we didn't have a reservation so we were fine with that. We ordered a filet mignon and spaghetti with clams. The server recommended a few wines that paired perfectly with each.
This isn't the type of place you go to if you're in a hurry. The servers don't check on your table every two minutes. Just order some wine, sit back, and enjoy.

Really terrific place. Free parking available in
local city parking structures nearby. I've been there twice and I definitely will be returning. A very lovely vibe, elegantly decorated, live music many nights a week. They have a small menu but everything I've tried has been good. They serve their own wines, some by the glass. I've had a white and 2 different reds so far, excellent. The staff has been amazing - friendly but not intrusive. It's really a great discovery. Check their website for current hours & live music schedule.

I was in the area and was looking for a nice spot to dine in and relax so I figured I would pop in here and see what all the heullabaloo was about and I must say I was not disappointed! I was treated so well the moment I stepped inside! The food was phenomenal! the creamy salmon pasta was heaven on a platter! And don't even get me started on the beef tartare it was too delicious to be true! But the food wouldn't been as great if it weren't for my server and the outstanding atmosphere of this establishment. The young gentlemen taking care of me made each moment count! He was quick , attentive , and had a rockstar personality. I believe his name was Connor! Thank you to all the chefs and my awesome server! There is no doubt that I will be a returning customer.

This place is beautiful and the food is excellent. We went on a Friday and Saturday and had the best time. There were different bands each night and they both were amazing. The whole place dances and the vibe is super chill yet lively at the same time. The owner is extremely warm and welcoming. The wine is top notch. Highly recommend this place as we found it to be the best on the strip.

This is an EXCELLENT wine bar! The selection was wide, the service top notch, and we had a pleasant surprise of a Magic Show on our Thursday visit! The magician, Michael Rangel, was mystifying and fun. I would highly recommend this spot for a good time! 🍷🔮

love this place! They have such a cool atmosphere with great tasting wines. Plenty of room for everyone. They have incredible specials throughout the week. It's the perfect place to catch up with a group of friends or take that special someone on a date. This place is one of a kind that offers a wide variety of wine. Urban press also offers live music and events.

Excellent wine, especially their Cabernet-Merlot blend from 2014. Also did the wine flights and happy hour before COVID hit. I recommend coming here - the place is a best kept secret.

Did not know a lot of information about the wine. Did not take my friends and I seriously because we looked young. Spent more time with other guests when it came to serving wine. Took 35 minutes to taste 5 wines because the woman was serving other people. For example, she would come say the name of the wine and then leave to other guests and talk with them for 10 minutes. Out all the wines she gave us to try, she recommended the $9 dollar wine which made me feel that she was judging us based on how we looked. Overall, do not come here. Go to Solvang where they not only treat you better but the wines are better quality.

Great wine selection, diligent service, and there was a wonderful musician duo playing while we were there. The food guy that has partnered with them is pretty good as well, and while the cheese platter may seem pricy, there is a lot of food that comes on it

First visit to Urban Press. Invited to BEF fundraiser. Impressive set up, creative use of space! Food provided by event sponsors was outstanding. UP White wine blend I would have again, very tasty. Barrel aged merlot surprisingly appealing, with food. Not generally a red wine fan. Look forward to returning another eve to enjoy the place sans event festivities. No pics, to much conversation & food🧀🍷

We finally came here tonight after weeks of walking by. I don't know why we waited so long because this place is truly amazing! There's nothing like it in Burbank. The decor and ambiance is so romantic and has a relaxing feel to it. It's almost like you are in someone's house just having some wine and chilling out.
We had Rae Rae serve us (I think that's how you spell her name) and she is such a sweetheart and super knowledgeable about the wines! Come here on Tuesday nights and women get 20% off and you have Rae Rae to serve you! And the wines are really amazing! I loved the Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot, and my boyfriend had the Pinot Noir. Each one had a special taste and quality to it. Great wines and very good quality. The hospitality at this place is super warm and friendly. Grace greeted us right away and made us feel like at home. This is the place Burbank has been waiting for! I highly recommend it!
