The breakfast burritos are BOMB and they have the most amazing salsas! We order takeout and our food is still hot and fresh when we get home. I can't get enough of this place.

Absolutely amazing! I have nothing bad to say about this place. It is a family owned business and they make their food with extra love. Every thing is made fresh to order and delicious. The sauces are on point, etc. My sister and I decided to try here for the first time with our kids, who are picky eaters and they absolutely loved it. We got the six pack with the green sauce and the marinara! All delicious. The owner is kind and informative if you have questions. We definitely will be back for catering or for ourselves hahaha. You will not be disappointed with these empanadas! Also, you order from the outside window, Do Not walk inside. They also have an app or you can call to place your order and pick it up. So many good things to say, not enough space. This is my family's new spot for delicious empanadas.

According to World Empanadas in Burbank, California, “good food takes time” and it’s definitely worth waiting for their made to order namesake empanadas AND fresh, homemade pasta. As a family owned and operated business since 2012, they have kept an extremely loyal clientele through their authentic Argentine-style empanadas with hints of global flavors.

✨Are you a sauce girly or boy?✨ You’re in luck: ask for their popular spicy, smoky chile con carne and chimichurri sauces🔥

Featured empanadas: 🥔Beef and Potatoes (seasoned ground beef, green olives, potatoes, bell peppers and spices), 🍳Breakfast (fresh scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, jack and cheddar cheese, and potatoes), 🌽Creamy Corn (sweet corn, cream parm sauce and simmer onions), 🌶️Spicy Potato (tender potatoes, fried onions, mozzarella cheese, cooked in a spicy salsa verde), 🇮🇳Samosa (potatoes, peas, onion, ginger, garlic and garam masala spices, mint chutney), 🍌Nutella and Bananas (creamy Nutella and bananas)

World Empanadas excels even with to-go orders! I recently ordered takeout and was thoroughly impressed. The empanadas arrived hot and perfectly crispy, with each one packed full of fresh, flavorful ingredients. The attention to detail in packing ensured that nothing was compromised during transport. The variety of fillings is fantastic, offering something for every taste, from classic beef to savory chicken and vibrant vegetarian options. The staff was friendly and efficient, making the pickup process smooth and hassle-free. World Empanadas proves that their quality and commitment to excellence shine through, whether dining in or enjoying from home. Highly recommend!

My first time ordering, for pickup. I ordered a dozen empanadas in four different flavors. After I got the package home, I discovered that there were no tags or markings to indicate which flavors were which. My group had to cut them all open and take their best guess for each one. They tasted good, once we figured out who got what, but cutting them open was a nuisance. I don't think I'll order a mixed dozen again because the staff isn't helpful.

I haven't been to E.W. since before the pandemic. I can say that the empanadas were not as good as I remembered. The empanada dough was good. That's about it. The beef filling was tasteless and bland. The ham and cheese empanada was almost empty with filling and basic. My husband had the Santa Fe chicken empanada and said it was just ok. I thought it was dry. The chimichurri tasted like Italian dressing.

You need to step it up E.W. It's not that hard to put a little more love into the fillings. Update your recipes.

Solid choice for empanadas in the valley, love the variety and sometimes seasonal additions, try the Nutella banana! They have a great selection of empanadas, and best of all for a vegan like me, they have 4 different choices that are all extremely good and each tastes very different from the others, which is great for variety.

When you get a dozen, it's worth buying the 3 oz salsa to get some extra! Their salsa choices are all great, too, but I prefer the salsa fresca and the chimichurri.

It was a very hot day in Burbank (~100F) when I went but these empanadas were amazing.

The people at the front counter are knowledgeable of the products, ingredients and preparation. They offer four different types of vegan empanadas. I tried the mushroom, rice and beans and the lentil one. They’re all delicious with a crispy flour crust. They’re prepared fresh and worth the wait.

They also have a tortilla soup that is very tasty which is GF and vegan.

They do have empanadas for all diet types. They also have fresh drinks to enjoy.

Parking is in the front of the establishment and you have to walk around the corner to reach their back seating area if you plan to eat there.

Empanadas were good. Filled well and large. Price was good for the lunch special, 2 empanadas, a side, and a drink for $12. The balance is definitely there. Unfortunately, the size and price does not equal flavor. None of the empanadas we had were bad, but nothing I'd go out of my way to tell people to try.

A fun little restaurant with a lot of interesting flavors that will make you want to try them all.

Out of the 4 flavors I tried, the Chile con Carne was easily my favorite. It was spicy and delicious! The spinach and cheese and Santa Fe were very solid. The only disappointment was the sausage and biscuits, which I’m not sure was correct as it tasted like it had olives? Regardless, it wasn’t bad, but i won’t be ordering that one again.

The pastry itself held up pretty well after being delivered. I also love the little logo on the pastry. I ordered 4 empanadas and that was just the right amount for me, as they quite small.

I recommend going here if you like trying a variety of flavors and love a good pastry.

These people lack common sense. I always get my delivery food open unsealed and this time the soup had even spilled on the delivery driver’s pants. It went straight into the trash (by the delivery guy himself) and this will be the last time I order here.
You would think sealing a delivery order would be basic common sense. If they don't train these 5th graders to seal a delivery order then they probably don't train them about washing their hands after using the bathroom.

*UPDATE:
Somehow I am not surprised by the totally unprofessional response. My review would not have been warranted IF this was the first time, however this has happened numerous times and I had previously taken the time to call and speak with the Manager about this issue and even emailed him pictures per his request. Clearly he did not deem the feedback useful enough to emphasize the importance of properly sealing delivery food. Please properly train your staff instead of shooing customers away (again no common sense). I already mentioned that I will no longer be ordering from your evidently low-standard establishment,  at least not until you higher staff with the common sense of a high schooler and a Manager/ management team with a collective IQ of at least a middle schooler. Bye-bye.

These empanas are fantastic! My sister brought me to try the ham and cheese; the cheese is gooey and the ham is salty and sweet. The empanado dough was flakey but soft on the inside and there was lots of filling; every bite had ham and cheese. I also tried the chicken. Pot pie and the chile con carne; amazing flavors and lots of different herbs and spices complimenting each other. The best part is that they travel well. We picked up a dozen and they were still jive and warm when we got home 20 minutes away.
We had our mom try the Santa Fe chicken, she is a tough critic, but she cannot stop talking about how good they were and asking me where they're from. She wants more!
A definite great first experience for me and I will be telling all my friends.

Good service and I'd been craving a good lentil soup, I was given a free sample of lentil soup to my surprise. The lentil soup was scrumptious, I will be going back even thought we live 45 minutes away but well worth the drive 👍

Always on time when it comes to pick up orders. Parking on the side street is best. Empanadas never disappoint. They also got little sauces that go great with them. Bomb!

Its really the best empanadas I ever try, this place call my attention cause being latin I love empanadas, and usually there are a few types, mexican (fried empanadas) and Argentinian (Oven empanadas), it may be more types, but I love both versions, and really can say that these are the best Oven empanadas I ever try, in this opportunity I just order to go, and eat in the car, but next time I will try on site, my favorite one was the Soy chorizo empanada, a little bit spicy (not for a mexican) but very tasty.

Extremely expensive, north of $50 for 12 empanadas is insulting. The dough was too thick and tasteless. The store should be called Lebanese Empanadas since they all taste like fatai.
