Tony's is our favorite deli in Burbank, and has been for 15 years! Quality quality quality! The bread is also very fresh, and choice in comparison so competitors in the area.

The tuna salad sandwich was mediocre in taste. The bread also a little chewy. I have had other items from their menu that are much better in flavor. The price was also too high for what I ordered. A tuna sandwich and bottle of water for $15 is too high.

Really good sandwich... Had the Tony's Special... Bread is fresh and super soft perfect for a sandwich not too doughy... And perfect amount of meat... most Italian delis put too much meat... this had just the right amount so you can enjoy your sandwich with a good balance of bread / roll and not be overstuffed... Also prices compared to the other Italian delis in town are much better would highly recommend.

The pastrami sandwich was phenomenal. The pastrami was very lean full of flavor. Not iverly salt and the amount of pickles, tomatoes and onions they put on your sandwich is wonderful.

Ordered Tony's Special Sub. Not your typical sub, two layers of cold cuts. For the money, good value. When I asked if I want everything on it, I said okay. I asked if they used an Italian dressing, he said yes. I'm not sure if he understood English. I felt they put way too much mayonnaise on it. Could not taste everything else. It's hard to eat because of how thick it is, mayo, and tomatoes, the roll kept sliding apart. Dessert was good, I had a Cannoli.

I had been coming to Tony's since my late teens, when the original owners operated it; I am now 45. Unfortunatly the son did not want to take over and sold it. It has been sold a few times since and each time it gets worse.

Veggie sandwich was my wifes go to. It has fallen so short in terms of flavor, she no longer asks for it or anything else from here.

Tony Special: My go to. Bread can be stale and hard at times. Never enough dressing or mayo/mustard. So now I have old bread with not enough mayo/must/ dressing to moisten it up. At over $12 for a sandwich, this is very upsetting

The real reason I stopped coming here....THE SERVICE! God all mighty the service is horrible. I remember back in the day, each employee would get involved writing down your order to speed you on your way Then the cashier would ring you up once your sandwich was done being made. Now the owners want to be in control of both and it gums up the time of service. People have 30 min lunches. THIRTY! I am not wasting my time waiting for the guy in front of me to take forever to make a selection while I'm on the clock. I've tried calling but the phone service is horrible. Or, I would place the phone order and it wouldn't be done in time for my pick-up.

I have taken my business elsewhere which is saddening. Hopefully someone who cares about what this review says will make the corrections to better serve their clients.

Very disappointing eggplant parm sandwich. Never again

Edit to answer the questions: I got it to do so by the time I realized it wasn't very good I was across town.

It had no flavor, very bland.

Final response:

I'm kind of dumbfounded that you felt the need to explain how an eggplant parm sandwich might be soggy when transported across town before being eaten when my complaint was that the sandwich was BLAND and TASTELESS.

That is the most condescending thing I've seen in awhile. Perhaps you can also explain how I should chew as well?

I am saddened to hear that you believe you executed correctly the day I tried the sandwich and confirmed that your recipe was properly followed. This means that anyone purchasing the sandwich can be assured it will also be bland and tasteless.

SANDWICH DONE RIGHT

I got the one that’s featured in the big photo at the ordering counter - basically a cold sandwich that has all kinds of meat you can put in.

Btw, the cook and the team are really fun to chat.

Parking: Plenty of free street parking if you make a turn onto the residential street that the restaurant is located on. Just too many spaces.

This is the 1st time that I have ordered from here. I am always looking for a good sandwich. They are difficult to come by. Though a bit on the pricy side Tony's Turkey sandwich was delicious. The bread was crunchy and soft at the same time. I got a side of red potato salad that was good plus a bonus piece of garlic bread which was very tasty. I am so happy that I finally found a go-to sandwich place near my work!! I will definitely order from here again.

This little "Hole-in-the-wall" store is one of my favorites, in Burbank. They make great sandwiches! Their sides are a tad small, but since they are included with the sandwich, you really can't complain too much. They have Covid protocols in place with a plexiglass divider between the servers and customers. You will have to hunt for street parking, as there really isn't a parking lot; but it is worth it.

At almost $20 for a sandwich and tiny cup of bow tie pasta, there is a ton of bread and the minimum amount of meat or anything else. Not really flavorful, since there’s barely any mayo or mustard, unless you pour the Italian dressing all over the bread. Should be called Average Tony's instead, nothing really original about this place

I went to Tony's based on a recommendation from a nearly business. It gives me no pleasure to write a negative review but I feel the owner should be aware of what happened. I did arrive late but was told I could order and dine-in. A few minutes after I ordered the staff began to clean up, I was told the restaurant was closed and I needed to leave. Not only was that rude, it's just bad policy. I packed my half eaten sandwich and left.
If it's so close to closing time, the staff should have informed me they were taking "take-out" only and everything would have been great. As for the sandwich, it was ok.
