I had the chicken parmesan sandwich and I really enjoyed it. I would definitely get it again. I also had the sugar-free/diet version of the craft cola they had, which was also very good. When I'm in Burbank again, I will certainly stop by.

15 minutes late. I ordered my salad and sandwich, scheduled it 2 hrs before I came to pick it up and it was 15 min late. This is just not okay for people who have 9-5s and have a certain amount of time to eat. Will never order from here again if I’m working on a timeline. Casual dining only.

Food in my opinion was mediocre, and not worth menu prices. The jones soda fountain was not calibrated correctly, which made all the soda flavors overly carbonated. It's has outside seating, that was the best feature.

Feels like the employees are vacant lol - they're all nice & polite, but don't seem to register on the uptake too quick, or worse, are just smiling & nodding to get through this interaction rather than actually listen to your question. Long story short, ADVICE : check what you ordered, exactly on each item, to make sure it's what you ordered - don't rely on their confirmation. It's an irritation I've been noticing more & more lately - no one ever listening, even for a brief moment.

Amazing sandwich, good sides too. But when we came there was no music, they were closing at 5pm and we thought the sandwiches were high quality but low quantity. So we left a bit hungry still.
Carving board should come to Ventura county, lots of hungry sandwich lovers up there.

I'm definitely going back because it was a good sando, but there are a few things I didn't care for.

The salad side was just an overstuffed clamshell of mixed greens, some of which were old and kinda slimy. To be a salad, it's gotta have at least one more ingredient (idk red onion or a few cherry tomatoes).

I got the Bordeaux, and it was really tasty. But the chopped chicken breast made it hard to eat. When I opened the sandwich, the chicken kinda just fell out. The mix of flavors is really good though, so it's still a fire sandwich.

One thing that caught me by surprise was the soda fountain that was Jones brand. That soda hits different, as they say these days. Good decision for fountain drink selection.

A most rewarding dining experience! One can order a variety of sandwiches or salads or turn those sandwiches into salads and save those carbs. The soups are amazing as well; and the menu fits right in with the atmosphere and diverse clientele. For sides they have those magnificent thick, but chewy potato chips or a side salad with a robust champagne's dressing, but saturated with salt. Friendly for vegans and gluten free options abound. The Carving Board is a must place for good food, good service and fast! Don't miss it.

Just ate here with my friend and toddler this weekend. It was perfect for a quick dinner. They made my toddler a kids grilled cheese with the crust cut off. I had the crab cake salad. Very fresh and delicious. My friend was raving about the buffalo chicken grilled cheese. Extensive menu, very clean restaurant, and delicious food. Also kid friendly and centrally locate. Would definitely return!

So I came here for the first time on a Tuesday around 2pm. I was craving a sandwich and this place seemed Iike it would have some good sandwiches based on some photos i saw on google so I decided to stop by. I ordered a ham and swiss sandwich which came with lettuce, tomato, red onion and mayo on a Sourdough bread. The sandwich was delicious! The ham was carved from an actual baked ham! It tasted so good. I was really happy with my meal. It also came with a side salad which was also very good. What I wasn't fond of was the girl at the register. She was not the most welcoming person and was in a rush to get my order when there was only one other customer in the restaurant! I can see why it's empty! I give her 1 star. And 5 stars for the food. Compliments to the cook. You are doing an amazing job πŸ‘ . In average I'll give this place 4 stars. Might need to get a nicer cashier.

Look. Generally when I have a bad experience I refrain from leaving negative reviews to give folks the benefit of the doubt. I understand the restaurant business is tough and it’s hard to recover from a cursory glance of poor reviews. But my experience here was so egregious I had to leave my first Google review ever.

I have NEVER met a more incompetent group of host/ess/cashiers/servers in my life. It was taking an interminable amount of time to help the one customer ahead of us and we soon found out why. The folks had trouble explaining what the difference between side dishes and add on dishes was. They prodded us towards the add on dishes that were extra by presenting them as choices together. When we realized what the distinction was we corrected our orders, but for some reason rather than deleting the items they cancelled our order and restarted. +5 min. Maybe this was an archaic software they were using but what happens next leads me to believe this was human error.

After corrections, The total came out to $30 for two sandwiches. Somehow when we corrected him in pointing out we didn’t order two grilled cheeses, just one, the cost went up. Math. +5 min

The cashier kept asking for us to β€œpay now” and asking for our card and we kept repeating that he had already taken our card and gestured to him HOLDING OUR CARD. +2 min

In between this there was a lot of idle time of the people looking at the cash register and then looking at each other and then looking at us as if we could do anything. +5 min

Also, by the time our food came out they had made a mistake by giving us chips instead of the side salads we had ordered. At this point we were too annoyed to complain and send it back and just left. I am all for raising the minimum wage to $15/hr. I understand it’s hard to make a living in this industry. But when they seemed annoyed at us on behalf of their own ineptitude I seriously reconsidered my position and can start to understand why others are pushing back too.

It was the first time I felt that a side salad is worth it. Simple, clean, and a light dressing that I crave. Tender, juicy meats. Carefully chosen cheeses with a fantastic pairing of tomato soup. I ordered the Bentley which is a filet mignon sandwich. Nice that they have hot sauce on the side in case you wanted some. For my side I had the winter squash soup which was delicious.

Another selling point for this restaurant is that they have Jones soda on tap which is amazing. I tried all of the flavors and think the orange cream one is the best but the raspberry blue flavor was also pretty good. My only gripe is the price point. A soup sandwich and soda combo set me back 21 bucks which is pretty up there.

Considering the expenditures of this place I think its reasonable. Just something to note, regardless the food was great

Cool little trendy spot on Olive. Definitely not too hard to find. The reviews drew us to this place for lunch as we were passing thru Burbank. It’s got pretty big signage in the front, the only issue is gonna parking. It’s street parking. Haven’t really found parking anywhere (like structure and such).

Walking in, it’s not too loud, got some cool art wall deco, place is clean. It’s a bit smaller than what it looked like from outside... but there’s a bunch of tables for people to sit, real simple and contemporary. No music, just the echo of the voices of people working.

When it comes to food, I believe that the reviews are accurate. 1. It is made fresh. The gf and I ended up with the French dip and the midnight snack. Both breads were soft and with good consistency. The flavor was definitely there. 2. Portions were definitely a big smaller for what the price is. 3. Side of chips or salad. The drinks at the fountain are actually Jones crafted beverages with real sugar cane, no big brand drinks. Their tea selection are decent and flavorful, and choices of pink lemonade or regular lemonade.

Overall, I would give this place a solid 4/5 stars. This is a good place for lunch. Is a bit steep on the wallet but quality is there. Service could be a bit more personal and organized but overall decent enough. I would definitely come back... however we did get lucky cuz we beat lunch traffic, but we also sat thru a POS system crisis as their system went down. They still got us accommodated so I’ve had a good experience and will come back.

Tried this place for the first time, so naturally I went with their signature and most popular sandwich, The Bentley.

It has filet mignon chunks in it with caramelized onions and a flavorful sauce and some greens.
Very juicy. I really liked it. The aide salad also had a good tasting dressing.

Not sure the ciabatta is the right bread bec the chunks kept sliding out.
Maybe the chunks should be bigger.

Their teas are great but the Jones sodas are meh at best. The sugar free cola tasted like soap. I don’t care about that though. Food is the main thing and it’s fantastic. I wana come back and tried their salads now.

The staff was very friendly and energetic. The lady behind the counter answered all my questions enthusiastically and also brought water for my dog.
