The place to be on old Calabasas Restaurant located in a canyon with outdoor tables and cozy atmosphere Meals from the classical repertoire Value for money is always too high but its consistent in the USA. Cqfd: to the bill you must add the tax and the tip, i.e. 25% on top

UPDATE: 10/12/24 - Ella, and John were incredibly attentive. And just to add another level of service: Chris (another server) remembered my exact order from weeks ago and checked in, not only to say hello and make sure my dog had a bowl of water, but also to ensure the server had my order down perfectly. This place is superlative and an excellent reflection of its management, location, and delicious menu. My favourite spot in LA. Sam is one of the friendliest hosts I ve had the privilege of meeting. Our server Tori knocked it out of the park today super attentive and helpful! Great energy atmosphere and vibe. And Chris (even though we weren t his table per se) kept checking in to ensure we had an excellent breakfast. And I haven t even started on the food not being hyperbolic: the hot chicken and waffles is the actual best breakfast I ve had in LA. It s insane. That and the chagaccino with almond milk. Insane! Love this place. It s tucked beautifully beneath the forest umbrage, with the gentle scent of bay leaves next to a running stream, adjacent to the Calabasas Farmers Market the vibe here is just excellent. Highly recommend!

One of the few cafes in the west valley. Chill ambience. Ive only had the quinoa burger and pizza. I like the burger more but both were good. Its pricey. Parking sucks but I still park away and walk. Servers are nice from personal experience. I like the beer too. They have a nice selection of tea. Ive gotten a pot a few times. Its a good place to study but not many outlets. Wifi available. When it is a busy day you have to put your name down for a table. I mean thats what they told me yet I saw others get a little lucky. The coffee bar or bar outside are open for the picking though. They have heaters so its comfortable when its a chilly night.

Very ghetto place. No full menu on the weekdays, no where to park. Very wannabe fancy place. So happy to live in idaho where everything is actually nice, everything is available. Calabasas is a dump lol. Everyone is a peasant here who thinks theyre cool. Edit - this review does offer value if you knew how to read maybe you wouldve noticed the no parking and no full menu on the weekdays part. Very helpful to know that and also every employee does act like theyre better than you I think the entire review is utterly valuable. You should be removed as business owner

Ive been to this location multiple times now, and I enjoyed everything about it, except for the parking. The inside bar dining room can be a little tight, but theres always the outside patio. The food selections can go anywhere from appetizers to full meals. The bartending staff has recommended some excellent beers and mixed drinks. The bartenders and waiting staff are attentive, but not bothersome. Live music is always a plus, especially with no cover. Parking: dont think the establishment owns the parking lot. The property owner is just trying to make more income cause they charge anywhere from 5 to $7. Seems like its on whatever whim they feel like charging. They say Valet, but you park yourself. Most of the time, the lots are not completely full, but sometimes, it can be tight.

I came here for happy hour and had a great experience. They have a huge range of solid beers on tap, including Pliney the Elder, that are all $7 during happy hour. The tuna tartare and burger from the happy hour menu were both good. My waitress Cass was very friendly and went above and beyond to help me get a non-itemized receipt even though it started to get busy. I look forward to coming back.

My first experience there few years ago was better than this week. I was greeted by moustache man and he was both cocky & sarcastic which was a bit bizarre to say the least. I got the feeling he was upset I decided ordering using the QR code and not from him at the bar? We sat outside and the pond smelled like sewer on & off. There is no service and you must pay & tip when you order. A bit unusual tbh. That also rubbed me the wrong way they expect 18 to 25% tip for near zero service and just bringing a plate. SMH! Had to beg for a glass of water and again for a refill. Salad was good but def not worth $26. Not coming back unless something changes :(( hope the manager will read & take into consideration furthermore: Manager gave the most unprofessional response to my honest review which was stating objective facts. He decided to dismiss my concerns and insult my intelligence for absolutely no reason. Clearly he did not receive any customer service training and will dig the place into a hole. Good riddance!

I would love to give this place 5 stars but they really messed up with their online menu. I ordered fish tacos with a side of coleslaw and my boyfriend ordered the turkey sandwich with a Ceasar salad. Because it s all online ordering no one physically comes up to take your order or give any warnings to possible allergens, and the descriptions for a lot of the items are pretty vague. No where on the menu did it say that his salad had almonds in it, and I ve never seen a Caesar salad that has almonds in it. He is deathly allergic to almonds. He was too shy to say anything but thank god he noticed and I switched plates with him. This is a huge no no.

I d been here before for brunch and it was spectacular, but came recently for a weekday lunch and it was pretty disappointing. Still a great atmosphere and outdoor eating area but the latte was burnt and the brisket plate wasn t particularly tasty or worth the price. You order via a QR code but the items lack descriptions and have some confusing options (e.g. the brisket plate asked about if I wanted my sandwich bread gluten free). Beyond that, it was hard to get things like water or even takeout containers for leftovers (had to stand in line for a long time at the bar just to get these because the waiter said they couldn t get them)

My recent visit to Pedalers Fork in Calabasas was a mixed bag, and it pains me to say it. The charming rustic ambiance, tailored for cyclists, remains a highlight, complete with an on-site shop, tune-up bar, and both indoor and outdoor dining options. The menu still boasts a delightful array of options, including vegetarian and gluten-free choices. Opting for the mushroom pizza, I savored its decadent, savory goodness, while my friend relished the brisket. Now, heres where the disappointment sets in. Pedalers Fork seems to have shifted from a full-service restaurant to a more casual affair. No host greeted us, and the initial interaction with a bartender lacked the usual warmth. We had to figure out the new system ordering online with upfront payment, including the tip. The service hiccups continued no utensils or napkins upon food arrival, and our requests for water were initially forgotten. When we finally got water, it was poured into an iced tea glass, diluting the remaining tea flavor. The absence of check-ins during our meal left us longing for the attentive service Pedalers Fork was once known for. Its disheartening to witness a decline in what was once a gem in Calabasas. Heres hoping they rediscover the balance that made them shine before. Vegetarian options: Plenty of options for vegetarians which are clearly labeled on the menu. I highly recommend the mushroom pizza. Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free substitutes are available Parking: Its always tough to find street parking in this area of Calabasas. Its great that theres a valet option. I didnt use it this time because I managed to find the rare spot, but I believe its $5 to valet.

This place values aesthetics above service. We were treated rudely by one waiter upon entering and again by the hostess. Strangely she seemed to use inefficiency as a way to flex her power. After being seated we noticed nearly all the other tables hadnt been served food. So we decided to leave. The restaurant is beautiful though. Its rustic, cycle-chic aesthetic is lovely, and the menu is quite thoughtful. Unfortunately the pretentious staff and inefficient system are in need of a tune up. With a little kindness, and a bit more hustle this place would be a real gem.

Always a pleasant brunch or lunch experience at a local restaurant, sitting on the patio amongst the trees. I had NY steak and eggs for brunch, my guests had omelettes and scrambled eggs. Lots of families amongst the bikers and the regulars and we sat at a tiny table for 3, enjoying the bustle and conversation around us. Service is enthusiastic (even if occasionally slow), and everyone has a good vibe and enjoys the pleasant ambience and decor. Its a neighborhood staple in Calabasas - you wont be disappointed!

Todays brunch service was NOT great, Sadly! Food was good once it came. SLOW to take our order, didnt bring water, etc Upon closing out our bill we were told they would only split the bill on 4 cards not 6 so 2 of us put down cash, then we were told they dont take cash!! This should have been communicated when the reservation was made for a part of 6! Getting the bill after that took way too long, they did split it 6 ways but when our cards were brought back the servers attitude was its a lot of cards and we are so busy. It was NOT THAT BUSY! Wont be back!

We practically had to comedically wave him over from 2 feet away just to get an order in, but it seemed like his priority was talking to his friend at the bar the entire time. To top it off, he didn t put my food order in, and wrongfully assumed I was sharing an appetizer with my friend. I only found this or after my friend was finishing his wings. Such a shame that a cool place with good quality of food was ruined by a bad experience with the staff.

Date night for this week consisted of starting our day off with a delicious brunch. We visited Calabasas first with a stop at 10 Speed Cafe which is shared with Pedalers Fork for brunch. From the moment we got there down to our very last bites, customer service was exceptional. Not only did their employees engage with us but when we ordered our food asked for our dogs names so that they may engage with them as well. Each time someone checked on our table they also got down on one knee, called our dogs by name and asked if they were OK as well and awarded them with pats on the head. Unfortunately the day we visited was a 100° day and with two large Australian huskie mixed dogs it can be hard to stay cool. Their employees must have already known because they at one point even brought the girls their own cup of different sized ice cubes to enjoy, and a fresh refill bottle of water. I was truly moved by the kindness, care and attention they not only gave myself , but extended to our dogs. Although Dutchess and Hamster give them four paws and wagging tales, I do wish they had a dog menu. Either way it was an exceptional time. When it came to food I honestly had no clue where to start. I wanted something filling but not to heavy due to the heat. The menu for Pedalers Fork was simple and right to the point. Sean and I opted for a bacon breakfast sandwich and fries. When I tell you the portions were generous, just one sandwich and frie would have been enough to feed us both. The fries were so flavorful , had an even crisp and delicious taste. My actual sandwich was pure perfection from the perfect toast of our bread, the light fluffy eggs and crispy bacon sandwiched between avocado and arugula. Each bite a mouthful of flavor did not disappoint. After my amazing experience for brunch I definitely look forward to dining here more often. My takeaways from 10speed Coffee and Pedalers Fork is location is in an amazing spot. Parking is hassle free and even had handicap accessible parking available. There are restrooms that are fully ada/wheelchair accessible and so is the restaurant. Customer service is phenomenal, and sitting outdoors offered an abundance of shade.

The food was excellent, the staff was friendly, and the location is unique in a great way. Everything was reasonably priced, including the bottomless mimosas for brunch! Highly recommend a visit here for brunch.

This is probably one of the most unique places to have a bite to eat in the Thousand Oaks, Calabasas, Topanga Canyon area. As many of you know, finding a good restaurant with fun atmosphere is extremely difficult, especially once you get out of Los Angeles; but this unique restaurant fits the bill for a great date or family spot. When I m thinking of someplace special to take my family, I don t just want run-of-the-mill. Not quite as elaborate as Inn at the seventh ray, but you know, Pedelars has a Bicycle shop attached so there s that. ;)

As usual, the place was packed, it was a hot day, but we were able to find a nice spot at the end of the bar, a place we never sat at before...Hot as it was outside, it was cool & comfortable inside....I still had to indulge in one of THE BEST and most LUXURIOUS lattes on the planet....paired with mile high avocado toast! Worth every penny! My friend had the same thing and we were two very happy little ladies at lunch. As usual, the service is friendly with a team work approach where different staff pass by to collect a plate or see if we need anything. Just a lovely atmosphere! Thank you for another superb dining experience, Peddlers Fork! Vegetarian options: Best avocado toast ever, huge portion, we actually could have split it. =) Parking: Valet. Fast. Easy. Convenient.

Great food. Brunch was delicious lots of vegan, vegetarian and regular options. All of which taste great. Staff are very friendly, patient and helpful. Definitely will be back to try more food. The zucchini bread french toast is wonderful, it is crispy outside and soft inside. Great flavors. Dietary restrictions: They have vegan pancakes. Kid-friendliness: They make kid sized of their entrees.

Great place, good to find music and setting. Overpriced food, suffers from low menu diversity. All the beers are white IPAs. Good BBQ, could use expanded menu options. Wish the menu was a little more varied in price too. Good cocktails, needs more distinctive drinks though. Nothing like 45 for a small medium side of beef.

Highly recommend. Will definitely come again. Amazing food, huge portions. They charge a $5 split fee, worth it. Located close to the street but its set up in such a way that you can sit outside and feel you are away from it all. Pretty and serene. Love that the menu is limited but it covers everything. The food is off the hook!!! When you enter, you go to the bar, order and pay for your food and they bring it out to you.

Was seated and proceeded to wait 20-25 minutes without being acknowledged. Not even offered water. What s worse is a server caught me on the way out and asked if I was leaving, so they clearly knew I hadn t been helped.

We had a pretty good dinner experience at Pedaler s Fork with some exceptions.. It was our second time here (We also visited for brunch a few months back our experience was mixed - one of us loved it and the other didn t) This time around it was mostly positive in this bicycle themed upscale New American restaurant on the edge of Los Angeles which, for some reason, featured a child sitting under the otherwise empty table next to us. We weren t sure if this was a regular feature and the kid wasn t talking. The bread service was pretty good an assortment of breads served in a cast-iron skillet (what food isn t improved when served in a cast iron skillet?) including sourdough, pretzel bread and a zucchini style bread which reminded me of some Irish soda breads. The only issue with the bread is that it was a little soft, sort of felt like it had been heated in the microwave which, of course, no bread should ever be heated in. I also had the The Basil Julep cocktail which was tasty enough (sweet the way I like it) though I didn t get much of a basil flavor in it. There was plenty of basil init, but perhaps it wasn t muddled enough as it was pretty much just a visual presence.. The entrees we ordered were great in terms of taste. I had the the Sweet Corn Borsettini Pasta. The little pasta pockets, with a four cheese filling, were served on a bed of sweet corn. It tasted fabulous and beautifully displayed, however it was in the end very little food. Only 7 of the small borsettinis, left me still pretty hungry at the end. $22 is pretty expensive for a vegetarian pasta dish and the amount of food on the plate didn t seem to match that price. My wife enjoyed the Quinoa Cakes a lot. It was a beautiful vegan meal with very tasty vegetables, carrots, broccoli and shiitake mushrooms. She noted that the quinoa cake were not actually the star of the meal but it all went nicely together. Next time she d get the aioli on the side as it was a little overpowering and too salty. We dont live particularly close, but there are only so many options of this kind of restaurant in the deep west Valley, so I don t think this would be a destination restaurant for us, but we would probably come in again if we were in the area.
