Rosti Tuscan Kitchen - Calabasas

Let me just start by saying that the food there was decent. I mean, the portions were good, and almost all the dishes we had were delicious.
I really impressed me was their marinara sauce, sometimes that stuff can be too heavy or acidic, but not here. It felt just right in my 40 something yr old stomach
Their service was a bit slow and this is a minor complaint, I wish they had some nice wine glasses. We brought along a good bottle of wine, and it just seemed wrong sipping it out plain little wine glasses that looked and felt like plastic. Overall it was a great experience.

After a short wait outside on Sunday evening, we were led to our table in the main dining area. It was not busy, there were plenty of open tables, and servers were relaxed and unrushed.
After water and bread was placed on the table, the three of us waited for over 20 minutes while servers cruised up and down past our table, until I eventually stopped one of them and asked if we could order.

A thing I find totally annoying in a restaurant is when 2 guests are brought their food, while the 3rd guest sits staring at the table cloth and cutlery.... Her food finally came and it was not what she ordered. Instead of immediately clearing the plate, the server and the manager then proceeded to have a discussion about whether my partner's order was correct. This, of course, while the 3 of were waiting to eat ...
(The manager then did offer us a complimentary glass of wine, which we accepted....)

Unfortunately, the final event was the strangest of all.... After we were finished with our entrees, and without even asking whether we wanted dessert or coffee, the manager brought the bill to our table - and then announced to our table what the final charge was and asked how we'd like to pay! I have NEVER been in a restaurant where the server or manager brings over the bill at the end of the meal, and loudly announces to everyone at the table what the final charge is. I was astonished, to say the least.....

I left a tip that clearly indicated my disappointment at the mediocre food, the poor (almost zero) service, and the final bizarre behavior of the manager...

I love Rosti Tuscan Kitchen. This is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in the whole world! If you order the right things, you’ll have a wonderful experience - top-notch food, great service, and big portions!! Rosti has an extensive selection of amazing salads, some of our favorite being: Chicken & Pear Salad, Seared Ahi Tuna Salad, Shrimp & Avocado Salad, and of course the classic Caesar salad. There are tons of amazing appetizers - all the Italian classics - too many good options to list here, you can’t go wrong! As for mains, they have excellent pizzas (amazing gluten-free pizza by the way), great pastas (spicy pink sauce pasta is always my go-to), and meat dishes like chicken Marsala and chicken piccata as well! BE SURE to try the northern-style chicken parmigiano - this is my favorite thing on the whole menu! This is one of the best restaurants in Calabasas, especially if you like Italian food. Be sure to try Rosti ASAP because you won’t regret it!

I tried their mushroom truffle soup and it was pretty good. I also tried their Salmon salad and calamari, both tasted great and were cooked to perfection. Recommend them both.

The outdoor seating is great and the complimentary bread and olive oil is always great for the table. Staff has been excellent with their customer service on point.

Our server, Jack, though sweet, VERY slow. I walked to the front desk to pay for our meal at 1:48pm.

Would I come back? No. I've ate here 4 times giving it another chance, because i want to support our local businesses and thinking it'd be different each time, but it always disappoints.

Had a nice dinner here after hiking Backbone Trail Loop. The waitress was so kind to let me know of a delay in the meal coming out because of a mistake and offered some food. I was in rush, but appreciate them letting me know.

They also have a free glass of wine offer on Yelp check ins.

Plenty of parking and clean restrooms.

Check them out if you’re in the area. I’d definitely return.

I met a few friends at Rosti this past week for happy hour; we sat on the patio and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. Since we ordered just a few appetizers, giving a true review of the food is limited. We ordered mussels, which were fine, bruschetta, which was incredibly delicious, and meatballs. I did not partake in the meatballs, but my friends shared that the turkey ones were not as good as the red meat ones. Our waiter was the highlight if I am truthful, patient, and personable. I hope to try this restaurant again soon to really experience what they have to offer.

My wife and I went for dinner I had the Caesar salad and my wife had the Caprese salad we wanted to eat a little bit light. Food was very good and our server I think his name was was We also took advantage of the fact that Wednesday is wine Wednesday and the glasses and the bottles of wine are all half price.

Alicia was amazing and offered wonderful suggestions. Our salads and salmon were spot on. The salad with bacon, goat cheese, pine nuts and endive was my favorite (I added perfectly seasoned and cooked salmon on top!) love this place…

We’ve dined at the calabasas location on multiple occasions. BUT this was the first time we have ever been served by Matthew W. He is a gem and a shame he’s not here year around. Not the best experience, long ticket time for a small order for two when the place is empty, could serve bread warm after waiting 15 minutes for a bread basket, and then another 15 minutes waiting for it to come back toasted. Just throw it on a quarter sheet tray and pop it in the pizza oven for two minutes. Easy.

When the bill came, they brought the wrong bill to our table and we almost paid a bill that wasn’t ours, we almost didn’t notice just because we trusted that the establishment we’re dining at wouldn’t make such a simple mistake like that. Glad we avoided paying a much higher bill for a mediocre lunch.

The best way to describe the food here is not good. Every bite I took just made me want to go down the street to McDonalds, having the runs the next day after this meal was no bueno, it’s not surprising why this is the lowest rated Rosti throughout SoCal.

This place should have been a step up from Maggianos, not a step down. Try harder

We have been going to Rosti for the past 5years. During this time, we have had Sabrina as our server for the many times we have eaten there. She is one of the best servers we have ever had at any restaurant we have visited. She is so efficient, the orders are always perfect, she is cordial, so sweet and above all so professional. Rosti is very fortunate to have her as one of their staff members. Thank you Sabrina for making our time at Rosti so enjoyable every time you are our server.

Just an overall great experience!
It was drizzling the evening we were there so we had our meal indoors, but it stopped so we had our dessert on the patio.
I wanted to see what a real chef could do with spaghetti squash as a carb friendly pasta swap, and boy oh boy did I find out!
Everyone in our party of six had something different, and everyone enjoyed it!
It was just after Valentine's Day and we were celebrating a couple of birthdays. When the staff heard that, we were comped a couple of heart shaped cakes!

Ate here with a party of seven. My Negroni was passable. My seafood risotto was fine. Most everyone had different dishes including our one vegan. While the food was apparently good, nobody was swooning over any particular dish. When the $400 bill came, an error was noted after the payment was submitted. Correcting the error took multiple tries as the waiter couldn’t seem to see that the incorrect total kept reappearing. In any event, my card has only been billed the correct amount…so far. Place was noisy and bright. Not a place for an intimate conversation. Servings were large. Many containers went home to refrigerators. Restaurant was better than just average. Maybe a place to bring a prom date but nothing to write home about.

Found this restaurant through both a Google Maps search of “gluten free” restaurants and confirmation via the “Find Me GF” app.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the number of GF offerings — and the care taken by the team — the menu was clearly labeled and I felt like the team cared about providing good food.

However, for the price of $28 dollars for a GF pizza (which was no bigger than 6 slices), I truly expected a lot more flavor and quality of dough. This pizza, while I appreciated the offerings of toppings and creativeness of pizza creations, the crust was overcooked on the bottom, bland, and all around in memorable.

Thinking it was only my GF pizza what was lacking flavor, I asked my dinner companions who had the roasted chicken and a salad — and both reported than while the dishes were “fine”, they were not worth the price point. I share this review recognizing that restaurants can have off nights — we all ate our meals and expressed no concerns to the team at the restaurant because maybe our expectations on flavor were not what the restaurant offers. The ingredients appeared fresh and the service was lovely. I would simply note that for the food we experienced, we would probably go somewhere else if we visited the area again.

When we first entered, they gave us a table for four when we had reservations for a table for five, despite numerous request for an extra place setting, we did not receive one for over an hour. We ordered some appetizers and they took a very long time to get to the table when they showed up they were delicious, but then the waiter never came back to take our dinner order after considerable amount of time, I flagged down the host and asked him to send over our waiter, and he had informed me that the waiter was busy, and would be there as soon as he could. When the waiter did return, he took the orders of every table around us, who would come in after us first, even though we had actually requested that he come take our orderthere was no apology for any of this. We still did not have utensils on the food showed up. The chicken was horribly dry and edible unallowable, and the rest of the food was just unremarkable in anyway I would not go to this restaurant again I do not recommend it goodness.

Lekker gegeten. Gerechten zijn echter veel te groot voor doorsnee volwassenenen. Ik had ook nog een huisgemaakte tiramisu die voldoende was voor 3 personen.... bediening heel vriendelijk en vlot..enig nadeel is de prijs van de wijn die misscien in USA normaal is: 15 dollar.

This place is incredible! We have been traveling to L.A. every weekend for the last few months and Rosti has become our home away from home. The food is delicious!! Can’t say enough about the ravioli and gnocchi. Incredible. The atmosphere is so welcoming and warm. We adore the staff who are extremely friendly and accommodating. We will miss our weekly meals at Rosti!

Food was very good and the service was great. One member of my party ordered a medium rare burger, another ordered their po'boy and a third their Mateo panini. Portion size was good and everyone said they would order the same thing again. We sat outside and enjoyed the nice atmosphere. The service was excellent. We did notice they have a very extensive gluten-free menu, which is great for some of our friends that only eat gluten free. We all said we definitely wanted to come back to this restaurant again. I would highly recommend Rosti Tuscan kitchen.

Service, food, and atmosphere all five stars. My family frequently comes here for celebrations. The wait staff are always so courteous, patient, and accommodating for my 93 year old grandma. The food comes out quick but delicious. The menu is expansive AND with vegan, gluten free, or vegetarian options. The bar staff makes killer drinks and I like being able to see part of the kitchen. The only compliant is that I wish you were in my state.

It was our first time there and it was perfect. The food was great but server was really good she made us feel welcomed and obviously knows her job we just forgot her name I will give her 5 star.

The waitress who served us was very kind and did a great job. Unfortunately the food is below average. We tried a variety of appetizers, pizzas, pastas, the tuscan chicken and a salad. All were average at most. The chicken was reheated, dry and tasted bad. The restroom was a mess.

As usual Rosti's Tuscan Kitcken Calabasas delivers to soothe that Italian craving, Calzones as big as the half moons on a Summer night, the Chicken Estalada was on point and the Crustini's were delectable; everything, "Scrumptious" the service great, the atmosphere awesome...definitely will be my regular "Go too Eat"

I recently took a large group for the Happy Hour. Food was great and timely, however when the bill came, not only was 18% gratuity included (with an invitation to tip more), but we were charged according to the full price, not the Happy Hour Price. More transparency in pricing is needed here, as I left feeling taken advantage of and paying much more than I had budgeted for.

My wife and I were coming back from the beach and wanted a late lunch at your restaurant. We looked at your new prices and went home. Two dishes two glasses of wine with tax and tip somewhere between $80 & $90. You must be kidding.

The food was fresh. I enjoyed the herbs the most. Even though there was a care going off in the parking lot every 5 minutes. The herbs made the food so delicious, and that's what I appreciate the most about this place. If you are one to appreciate taste and flavor then this is the place for you. I tried food outside of my comfort zone and it did not disappoint one bit. I was on vacation when I came to eat and I'll definitely come back when I come back. The birds are lovely and the staff is extremely friendly.

This Restaurant is HORRIBLE for Doordashers to pick up food at. The tips that customers give on the app, the restaurant keeps all to themselves. I pick up sooo many orders here and I've had sooo many customers tell me in person "I left you a good tip on the app" only to find out i got $0.00. Doordash should look into this. They're stealing from the delivery people!!!

Service was great. There were a couple birthday parties going when I was there for dinner. They were insanely loud where it bordered on uncomfortable to be next to them. The server was apologetic saying it was unusual to have that decibel level. Will try it again and see if she was right. Worth another look.

An Italian restaurant with a brick oven should provide excellent pizza... not the case. Fresh toppings sacrificed to tasteless dry dough typical when frozen.
Staff knowledgeable, but run around in frantic circles, most chewing something as they return from the kitchen.

Ordered from their website. Food arrived 40 minutes late. No apologies. Just excuses. Same thing happened last time we ordered. Only that time it was an hour and a half late. Needless to say, we won’t be ordering here again.

Delicious Italian food. Also great place for vegans/vegetarians - half the menu was vegetarian dishes and plates identified if non-gluten. I am not vegan/vegetarian so had the chicken Alfredo plate - full of flavor, yet not overpowering with any particular ingredient.

Great food as usual and the new bar is nice
Prices are definitely up here including a overpriced corkage fee of $25 a bottle
This would be a five star rating if the corkage was $10-15 or less. $25 is VERY high. Probably not returning for a while.

For being In Such a rich area you'd think that they would be more polite to customers but nope super rude my food was cold and my drink was flat I had the worst time ever

I usually get from Rosti but I ordered takeout and my pizza wasn’t given to the delivery guy so he had to go back for it and the pizza was so oily. The pizza ended up being so soggy. Very disappointed

Twice now the time to take to get service is horrible. Both instances there was plenty of staff and the restaurant wasn’t busy. If it was from take out orders, formulate a process to still serve those sitting for almost ten minutes waiting for a mere glass of water to being with.

Love love love! Pizza & Pasta is what you want from here! Vegetarian & vegan friendly! The menu selection was HUGE! The chicken is a no, it was so funny to see a cooked plain, unseasoned chicken sitting on a plate. Didn't send it back because she didn't want to be rude but would only order the pizza and pastas from here from now on!

The ravioli and tiramisu were good, though the pizza was undercooked and very American/buffet. A lot of $ for lack of quality! No reason to ever return back

Food was actually pretty good. Decent size portions, had the chicken Dijon and was quite tasty. Wife had risotto and struggle to finish it. Staff was very friendly, attentive, and, as odd as this sounds, added a bit of enjoyment. Cannot remember the waitress name but she was training someone new. Very very nice girl and conversational without being invasive.

We will return.

The mussels were tasteless and warm near to cold. The fries was cold. The chicken sandwich was overcooked, the coke was water down. The calamari was overcooked. We had two different pizzas and they were great! Chicken Parmigiano was excellent. We received excellent service!

I tried their mushroom truffle soup and it was pretty good. I also tried their Salmon salad and calamari, both tasted great and were cooked to perfection. Recommend them both.

The outdoor seating is great and the complimentary bread and olive oil is always great for the table. Staff has been excellent with their customer service on point.

Very good place. Liked all the food here. Vegetable pizza was good, seafood risotto was good, pot roast stew special good too. Wasn't in love with the salad I got, Garden, (I think that's what it was) but it was still good. Good, unsweetened iced tea. Very filling. Interesting patio, there was a little birds nest above us in the bushes which was really cute. Service was very good, our waitresses we're very helpful. Steep prices, though, but that's to be expected.

I used to really love this place, but the last two times I've picked up my food have not been good. The first time the food was made incorrectly and they forgot some items. This last time, they gave my order to someone else. When my husband went in to pick it up they told him someone already picked it up. He had to ask for the person in charge because they weren't going to give him the order we had already paid for. Because they had given it to the wrong people, we had to wait 35 more minutes. Finally, I couldn't believe it, they had missing items in our order again!!!! Well we won't be going back. Seriously they barely said sorry for the mix up.

A nice cozy place with good Italian food, friendly staff and convenient parking. A good place for a casual meal with family or a business meeting. A wide menu including traditional italian, vegetarian and gluten-free options. The only reason I've given it 4 stars is because I went on a Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was short-staffed making service slow and difficult to order. They made up for it with generous items and a reduced price. Looking forward to returning and seeing additional staff and their great food.

Great pizza. I ordered 2 pizzas, they made a mistake on one. They fixed the mistake by remaking the pizza. We all enjoyed it. We will be going back.

Esmeralda was outstanding as a greeter and take out, her patience and ability to manage guests and the takeout ( door dash, etc) drivers was excellent. This was my first visit here. Experience wise, I'm very impressed. Thank you

The fact they took us in without a reservation earned them an extra star. Got bread right away, but water and someone to take our order took an hour. The food was OK. Once we finally got service, it went well.

Never order PIZZA from THERE!!! It literally taste like cardboard lol. Also the PaNIni!!!! Like come on. It was terrible. The bread was fat and their was no cheese like NONE! Oh and don’t even get me started with their brownies. Their brownies were so bad that all I can say now is that Oreos taste better than that. Seriously people sometimes I will drive by and there’s people there like what the heck lolllllllll.

I was there last night and we enjoyed our selves very much. Esmeralda gave us wonderful service and the food was amazing! My only concern and I was bit confused since a few employees had no mask. Maybe management wasn’t aware.
