Old New York Deli & Bakery Co has a great variety of food, including bagels, eggs, and freshly baked desserts. We love this place! The location is nice and very attractive. The cashier was super helpful and patient with our order. Even though they were busy, the service was really fast. This is definitely our favorite spot for breakfast and snacks. I highly recommend everyone to come and try this place!

Omg I could find a seat in a Saturday for breakfast and their prices are reasonable! $9.99 veggie egg burrito is amazing! They have an amazing bakery selection and promos on Tuesdays for beagles. Their coffee is also very good!

I easily lined up, ordered, and found seating at 9am on a Sunday.

I recommend getting the plastic menu (closer to the front of the line), it is easier to read compared to the small font on the wall menu.

Most of the menu is very good! Some items are better than others.

I recommend the orange juice, and any of the bagels! My favorite is the pumpernickel.

There is indoor as well as outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is dog friendly.

I come here all the time as the food is delicious albeit it is pricey. I've yet to consume something I didn't enjoy. However, today I ordered my usual chai and was very surprised when I picked up my drink and discovered it ended almost an inch from the lip of the cup. I come here knowing the food is good yet expensive, figuring I am still getting what I pay for in a way, but I don't know if I can continue to pay these prices if I am not getting the entirety of what I ordered. If this continues I will stop coming here.

Ordered 2 bagels with cream cheese. Really good bagels, and made the right way. Some imposter bagel shops bagels are like dinner rolls. These guys compare to a few of the best like the old school Brooklyn Bagels Bakery in Los Angeles. Then got some cookies and of course a Napoleon. The cookies were good but not crisp like I'm used to. But the Napoleon wow they are actually better than my favorite "Canters" I'm serious. The filling was so rich but not to sweet. The dough perfect but the top of the Napoleon wow off the chain. Only thing is the staff could be a little more friendly. C'mon we're just people like you. We appreciate you so much for providing a service to your community "Smile" it won't kill you. Other than that great visit thank you for bring back old memories while eating Bagels.

Super sweet staff and SO MANY menu OPTIONS! Seriously - make a plan before getting here. Your plan should 💯 include the fries 🍟!!!

The meat in the pastrami sandwich was amazing but the sandwich overall was okay.

I ordered the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich and the chicken was a little underwhelming, but I appreciated that they were generous with their avocado 🥑.

They also had really interesting lemonade.

Let's talk about the star 🌟 of this meal 😍 - THE FRIES 🍟🤩!!! I wish I could give these fries 10 stars, they were perfect in a way that it is hard to describe and to find now a days. They potatoes were perfectly seasoned and cut with just the right amount of crisp. I am not from the area, and I would stop back here for the fries alone.

After going to this location for many years I've unfortunately noticed a decline in quality and an increase in prices. My last visit tipped me into the category of its not worth coming here anymore. My "toasted" bagel was obviously burnt and they didn't give enough cream cheese to spread across my two slices. When I requested for more they said they charge for cream cheese. I told them I wasn't given enough for my two slices of bagel and I was told I still needed to pay. So just know when you order a bagel with cream cheese you are either supposed to put cream cheese on one slice and put the other on top like a sandwhich or get charged extra for enough cream cheese for two slices. Ridiculous.

ZERO stars for this disgusting business that intentionally gives you different proportions, depending on whether you re ordering to eat in house or to go. Hint the to go orders get half the amount of food the in-house orders does!! When questioned, management said it s to reward the people that eat there ummm, what!?! That s not how it works!! Parking: This is a crappy parking center; just be prepared!! Wheelchair accessibility: This restaurant is next to a PT location. There is no handicap parking available at any time of the day!!

My bagel sandwich itself was good but the service wasn t great. I was trying to make allowances for it being a Saturday morning but after waiting a long time for my food, when I went up to inquire, I realized it had been sitting on the counter getting cold while no one brought it out or called out my order number for around 15 minutes.

This is a pretty good and big breakfast place I went there early in the morning. It was very packed and crowded. They also have a good pastry and dessert section. We had ordered pancakes and Salmon bagel Sandwich and two lattes. Our bill was 48 bucks. I think its little overpriced. The biggest sandwich costed me $18 which I think is little overpriced. But a nice place to hang out. And get breakfast and lunch.

Discovered this place a few weeks ago, and have already been back a few times. Food is good quality at the right price. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because it seems like they are training a lot of new staff- so food prep and customer service isnt quite there yet. Also, seating is awkward.

Today was our first time going to the Old New York Deli & Bakery. The atmosphere is great. They have a lot of food, bagels and pastries. The staff was very polite. We ordered two hot cornbeef sandwiches with fries. The food came quickly. The cornbeef was lightly warmed, not hot, and cold in parts. Overall, it was an ok sandwich, nothing special. Everything else was fine. When we were ordering, another customer returned her sandwich after taking a bit out of it. While our only concern was the cool/cold meat, we did have expectations based on the name (NY deli). We also ordered bagels, a chocolate babka, and a cookie platter to go. Well see how they are. Looking forward to eating them.

I come here all the time as the food is delicious albeit it is pricey. Ive yet to consume something I didnt enjoy. Ive had several online orders filled locally. Typically the food is great. The staff is nice but out of the last 7 trips they messed up 2x and I learnedbto check the order before you leave. Once, they forgot the au jus on the french dip, and today they forgot my OJ. :(

More patience for older folks please. We are living around this place and become regulars. because we like the food and service recommended this to our friends, however on 21st of June Friday around 9am our friend called us that she felt disrespected when she ordered bagels and asked the guy named Omar to make her bagels warm but it was served cold. She then politely asked to warm her bagels but the guy said he already did. It was actually still cold. She was so upset and felt disrespected upon asking and just walked away feeling humiliated. She s 80 years old retired professor from CSU CI and living in Camarillo CA for more than 30 years.

One of the girls who works at the register and brings food out wears an expression of absolute detest for the customers. I sympathize with the staff because they definitely deal with difficult customers on the daily, and it can be frustrating, but a little bit of effort to not openly despise the customer theyre serving could go a long way. I was in front of the counter waiting for assistance, and the girl and I made eye contact and I waved indicating that I needed help, and she blatantly ignored and avoided me. I just needed a to-go box. The last few times Ive been here the food is always great, but this time it was a let down. I understand they could be understaffed, and everyone has their own stuff going on. Unfortunately, it doesnt change the fact that I left feeling like I would have been happier paying less going through a drive thru somewhere else.

Love this place! The only thing I am mad about is that I hadnt tried it sooner. I have lived in the area for almost 8 years and slept on this one. Great bakery selection. Awesome sandwiches, and delicious Matzo Ball soup. It is fast casual so, you order at the counter and they give you a number then someone delivers your food. It gets busy but the line moves fast.

Been here quite a few times and I dont think Ill be back. The last time I was here, they gave me expired salsa with my bagel sandwich. I know it was expired because the container the salsa came in was literally bulging from the gasses inside. When I opened it, you could hear a hiss and it smelled so bad. Theres no way thats fit for human consumption. I imagine there was a mistake and the container was left at the back of the fridge or something. Accidents happen so I went to the liquor store next door and bought some hot sauce. The last time I went, I ordered a corn beef hash burrito with banana peppers and hot salsa. Not only did I not get my banana peppers but the container that was supposed have hot salsa was marinara sauce. The worst part was towards the end of my burrito, all I could taste was seasoned salt. Dude, the burrito is salty enough, why would you be so heavy handed on seasoned salt? What am I supposed to do if half of my burrito is inedible, you know? Out of fear of looking like a glutton who wants free food, Ill just cut my losses and toss the other half in the bin which is SUCH a disappointment. Its crazy, it seems like every time I come here my order is wrong or the food doesnt taste good. If youre going to charge as much as you do for meals, you expect your order to be correct and to taste good. I will say, one thing this place has going for it is the bakery. Theres so many sweet treats to choose from and the fruit tart is delicious. Not sure if they make it there but either way its really good. Maybe Im just really unlucky but I imagine if it happens to me almost every time then it has to happen to a lot of people which is a bummer because this is one of the closest restaurants to my house.

I got a Philly cheesesteak, red velvet cupcake, and fruit tart. All subpar food. Cupcake tasted nothing like a red velvet should, was dry, and frosting tasted like cheap vanilla frosting that was old. Tart was basically overly sweet cream with a huge sugar cookie on bottom. The best part was the fruit because it was fresh. Sandwich was not seasoned and bland. They should be ashamed for charging as much as they do for this. The sandwich was just under 20$ I could make 3-4 of the same sandwich at home for the same price of 20$ and it would taste way better. I read a lot of the reviews here, sounds like coffee and breakfast are better here, but after my experience I won t be back.

I found this place kind of accidentally while my fiance had a minor medical procedure. What a find! Busy place, but their built for it. The food came fairly quickly, and was great! I had a pastrami ruben. The help was efficient and friendly. Good dining in atmosphere, too. Try it!

Went in to here to order a deli sandwich. Ordered a turkey sandwich with lettuce tomato onion and mayonnaise. .This was the worse deli sandwich Ive ever had and it was 17$ ..the driest turkey Id ever had in my life. ! It was like being in the Sahara desert trying to get it Down . Got potato salad for the side. Drink coffee while I was there. Coffee was very good. BC of word-of-mouth advertising for my friend, I purchase some cream cheese, and because of suggested selling of the customer service representative I purchase bagels that would be complemented by the honey walnut cream cheese that I purchased. The CSR help me identify two pastries that I also purchased. My friend and I drink or coffee is outside and because we had arrived so late and our conversation was so good, we were there till they were cleaning up outside and locking up the tables and chairs. The staff was helpful and cheerful.

FOR my fellow East Coasters: it is extremely rare to find an authentic New York style bagel and deli shop on the west coast. This is one of the best you will ever find from San Diego to Seattle. Its been pretty humid in the Deli recently, might be the reason why, when I bought a lite cream cheese it was covered in mold... Please check the temperature, its too hot to meet safety standards. Theres condensation on the purchasable cream cheese containers, which is probably why the mold is forming. Theres also mold in the bathroom on the tile grout by the sink. The food is still fantastic though.

NY Deli in sandwiches are absolutely amazing. I ve been dying to try the Matzo ball soup. The soup is absolutely delish, but the matzo they put separately tasted like an almost flavorless mush? Terrible service. Waited 10 minutes behind the bakery counter and a women ignored me. Finally, I asked her whether she is going to help me, she said go wait in line god knows which line. Finally, a guys responded and unwillingly helped me as if he is being cursed. I asked for 2 pounds of cookies and he gave me much more and charged me more that I wanted to spend. This place was added to my black list for unsatisfactory and disrespectful behavior. With this kind of service, the minimum tip starts with 18%. I refused it and gave $1 cash tip which was very generous. Please train your employee to be nice and willing to attend to your customers with happy face.

Prices Up Quality Down, unfortunately this has become too common, but theres no excuse for selling stale product at inflated prices. Last night we stopped in to grab a sweet to-go ended up with 1 brownie, 1 bag of bagel chips, 2 garlic bagels for $18.00 bucks and then a forced $2.50 tip. All would have been fine except the bagels were rock hard to the point of true difficulty to cut, then so dry and stale after toasted, we tossed them out. The brownie was stale and tasted like it had been sitting in the case since January, after two bites we tossed it too. The bagel chips good at first bite but I must have grabbled the only thin one because the rest were cut so thick they are impossible to enjoy. They will be tossed out too, we like our teeth more. Now the tip, we walk in and no one behind the bakery counter offered to help us, there was no one ahead of us. We walk to the cashier and ask can we get a brownie and a couple of bagels, she was nice, rings us first which was odd an says theres a few questions on the screen for you as she points to the credit card machine. Its asking me which tip amount I should choose....for what? I felt shamed/obligated so I choose one, my bad. Never again, we are done and thats a shame because this use to be a great place. Update: Today 7/23/23 they charged my sister $9.00 for a slice of birthday cake that after 2 bites went directly in the trash, it was wet and tasted like a refrigerator, awful! My sister didnt know how awful this once great place had become.

People should know so things can improve. We ordered 3 California grilled chicken sandwiches, it took 50 minutes, just under an hour . No one in front of us we could see, likely some online orders, maybe 6 people eating there . Today about 2:30pm. We watched several people come in after us and leave after us . The sandwiches were really, really good .However ,I forgot the reason I haven t been there in a while though. It always takes too long. If I can make it at home in less time , you re taking too long. These on line orders may be too much for them to handle. In that case , post a sign. Tell us it s going to basically take an hour until you eat for walk ins. Not a place for a quick bite unless you want a bagel and a drink. We had to say something then magically our food came 10 minutes after that. When told it s taking an hour they said that s what it usually takes . We were not offered anything and didn t ask at that point. Another employee being chewed out, unrelated, in the corner of the restaurant right by the drink machine. There were 2 managers present. Take that in stuff in back . At a full service restaurant I can understand a longer wait but New York is sort of Cafeteria style? It s a good product but always takes too long.

We love this place. They have an amazing selection of tofu cream cheeses so vegans can be included and amazed too. Their bagels are incredible. They have a WONDERFUL bakery section, just nothing vegan that I am aware of. Their drinks are great, and they offer several different types of plant milks. The staff are friendly, and quick.

Great deli for breakfast. Although the restaurant does not have table service, the walk-up line generally moves fast. My favorite is the breakfast bagel sandwich (there is an endless choice of bagels). They also have a potato pancake(latke) with an excellent taste and a perfect texture(graded, not mashed or blended potatoes). While waiting in line to order, it is difficult not to be tempted by the incredible assortment of cookies and old-style east coast Jewish-American food products(Such as Foxs U bet chocolate syrup). The only negative is that this is very popular and gets jam-packed, but it has a small dining area(the good news is there is additional covered seating outside(in front). #bestbagelsinVenturaCounty

Overpriced food. The pastrami sandwich is very disappointing, especially for $20. It was small, meat was chewy, not very flavorful, and they didnt even bother to put sauerkraut in my sandwich. The experience left me irritated to know I wasted money and time on it. Theyre are better deli places out there, with better sandwiches at a lower cost

While the food is good I would suggest a few things to get to five stars. Staff could be more knowledgeable, video menu behind counter could be easier to read, larger font. Have sliced pickles to add to sandwiches, and Siracha sauce with other hot sauces. Your Our Story board should be somewhere we can actually read it and curious the history of the flag, maybe an info board if it s actually real.

Ordered open face brisket thin and tough meat. Could hardly eat. Mentioned it to my order taker, but did not remedy or seem to care (it s hard to make brisket tough, but they did). Very disappointed!

Delicious, very full menu. So many options to choose from and everything has always been fresh and yummy. They have dog-friendly outdoor seating and offer gluten-free options on some things. You wait in line to order at the counter. If you cant see the menu board there are laminated menus. There service is always welcoming and they bring the food to you, even when busy. Our favorite thing on the menu is the California omlet. My Jewish friends came to visit and said their latkas were tasty. My son enjoys the the stuffed french toast

Adjusting my review as I went back this last weekend and found roaches at the booths. They said they refunded the order but still charged for the drink. I called back today and spoke with somebody about the lack of a full refund. The lady I spoke with straight up admitted that they sometimes get shipments with roaches on the boxes and thats why they have the problem. THEY KNOWINGLY ACCEPT ROACH INFESTED SHIPMENTS AND DO NOT REFUSE THEM. In fairness they did refund the entire order pretty quickly on the second request. This place used to be reliable but has been on a downward spiral since before the pandemic. Its permanently on the avoid list now. Its a shame as this place used to be solid.

The food is always great here, but it is rarely what I ordered and it takes forever. This morning it took an hour to make 4 untoasted bagels with cream cheese. 3 were toasted and the only untoasted one was the wrong type of bagel.

The service was great, but the food was not. I left feeling deflated, as I was very excited to try this place. I ordered a Hot Pastrami and it was soggy and lacked flavor. I had also ordered Coney Dog but it had tomatoes that tasted off and a bit old. The fries were good, but the potato salad was bland. I used to live on the East Coast and this is not what youd find in New York.

Its usually really good, I do always advocate checking the sides before leaving. Also, the poppyseed bagels are awesome and theyve usually got them (plus they keep well for a few days in the fridge).

I stop here for breakfast on my morning commute a few times a week. Their redline breakfast burrito is legitimately one of the best available in town. Gets a little hectic inside, but thats because everyone is in on the secret - Old New York Bagels is friggin awesome.

They have the very best bagels next to Western bagel that I ve ever had. Their bagel and hot dog is delicious. However, they have no clue on how to simply cook eggs over easy two opportunities both times over hard. I will be going back for bagels, but I ll never eat breakfast there again .

Great ambience. Love the leather seats by the fireplace with the bigsc agreed Tv big above. I watch my morning cnbc / squawk on the street while having my breakfast there few times a week. Food, coffee, service is great. Only thing is the food could be warmer by the time it gets to you. When I order omelettes or a hot dish, it s usually cold for some reason.

Ive eaten here several times and always enjoy it. Ive gotten bagels, sandwiches, pastries, drip coffee and espresso drinks. Everything has been really delicious and the service is good too. My only complaint is a little silly but the benches for the booths are so short. I feel like i cant sit comfortable for a long period of time. I brought my laptop to get some work done and I constantly felt like I was going to slide off. I sat in a few different booths throughout the morning I was there and they were all so short.

Cant say enough about this place. They make everything fresh right there and the service is excellent. You can also order online and pickup is a breeze. Everything Ive ordered is delicious. Do yourself a favor and go.
