Our waiter took too long to provide us with the bill after we had asked her, she forgot to bring a to go box so she had to go back. There were only 4 tables occupied. We asked for a Heineken beer, and she brought a Modelo, I asked for my sprite to be refilled, and she refilled with flat coke. Is a nice place with a pretty good atmosphere they had live music. Also, it is a bit pricey for the amount of food you get. The taste wasn't that bad.

This one is an absolute surprise: dining, live jazz, great service, all hidden at the very wear end of Roscoe Blvd.
Bonus round: there's a speakeasy hidden in the back.
Olive & Fig has a broad Mediterranean menu I would peg is Lebanese, including lamb, pork, seafood, beef, and a broad selection of vegetarian foods. Foods. Whoever's in the kitchen cares about the food, because it comes out beautiful, tasteful and tasty.
Appetizer portions are generous and spectacular. Dinner portions are regular and delicious.
There is a limited cocktail bar, but it's real. They've got about six beers on tap, and an extensive wine list.
Service is attentive and our particular server, Cynthia, made our meal with bright interactions, excellent suggestions, and just about the perfect amount of attention.
Live jazz two to four nights a week. We saw The Aristocrats trio, with no cover in a half full restaurant. The acoustics are great, the musicians were excellent and enjoying themselves, and the atmosphere was fantastic.
The interior is clean, beautiful, dark ceilings with retro LED bulbs, a waterfall in the lobby and three distinct seating areas. Booths, flat-tops, and a lounge area with deep couches..
Parking out front is limited to about 10 cars, but the mall just to the east is usually closed by dinner time and allows parking there.
If you pass through the dining room, just passed the stage through some beautiful doors, there's a speakeasy back there. Hookah, Cigar and the restaurant will serve.

This is a nice local place. It has great jazz music, a dark(ish) cool room vibe, and a fancy dining vibe all in one. The food is ok, not the best Mediterranean, small portions, and service is hit or miss. The parking lot is small, valet only and not worth it as there is free street parking.
Food: we got the appetizer dips (hummas, babaganush, and some walnut mush). They were all good but the walnut mush was very good, we liked it best). We got some wraps, they were small and nothing special. The flavor was ok, the price was ok, the plain sides were...ok. well, the fries were actually pretty good. I got the chicken shwarma plate it was pricey, small(ish, for me) portion, but very tasty, well cooked, and staticifying. The rice was very good, albeit a little be greasey.
Our waiter was very nice when we arrived. Messed up our order (3 wraps and 2 shwarma plates), then basically forgot about us. Never refilled our waters (we had to go to the bar and ask for a pitcher of water), never checked on us until we were done, then was nice again by bringing my mom a little desert (which they charged us for) to celebrate her b-day. By the way, the baklava was just ok.
THE LIVE BAND that played was really good. I will definitely go back because of them and no other reason (now if I could only remember the name??). They were a jazz trio (guitar, bass, drummer), older players with a singer (she was great), and they made the night very special.
Overall, if you go for the food, don't bother. If you go for the service, don't bother, but if you go for the jazz, absolutely go, that made the whole night worth it.

Disappointment 😥
🍜 Food:
The food was okay, but only okay...
Overpriced for sure, for what you get. Plenty of better Middle Eastern restaurants around this area.
The main dish mentioned it was to be accompanied with rice and tomatoes, plural, and came with a single small tomato 🍅...
We had the beef lulu and like I mentioned, it was unnotable..
The baklava is supposedly made in house, but was also, meh...
👩💼Service:
They were so over staffed when we visited on a Friday night that there were many employees just standing around searching for something to do. The staff kind of rushed us to finish our food faster than we could even enjoy the ambiance of the jazz band.
Even though we made a reservation and the restaurant was 40% empty...
They brought us our appetizer along with the main dish and brought us the check before we could order dessert...
So in summary, not nice...
🏠 Atmosphere:
They seem to have invested more money with setting up the restaurant's superficial decor then they did in making sure their food quality matched their prices...
It's an overly lit “jazz bar" with cheap square tables.
The table settings are tight, so watch your elbows.
💸 Price:
Not worth it. We are simply not going back.
Thx

I took time to meet the outstanding international staff. Well-mannered and cordial. I ordered the suggested Filet Mignon paired with a Bordeaux. The follow up Armenian wine and Rosé were spectacular. The jazz band played at sundown. I will return. Parking: Stay west of the adjacent parking. Other businesses put warning signs.

Well about two years ago I wrote a five star review until last weekend. Little did I know that the ownership changed. WHAT A DIFFERENCE. Ordered exact same items for more money, and the food was sub par to say the least. The olive and fig salad was a quarter of the size and more money. I ordered the skirt steak although its consistency made chewing gum like a filet mignon. I have no problem paying more at restaurants if the food is good. This food was awful. The manager came over and asked my honest opinion where I left 3 quarters of my steak. He spent ten minutes listening and speaking. When the check came, he still charged us. I didnt say anything. Lastly, for a ten dollar side of asparagus, I received FOUR I repeat FOUR SMALL asparagus. I said I would not write a bad review but once I was charged, I thought people need to know. There are a lot of great restaurants to spend money at. Should have read reviews before going.

The vibes here are great! We came on a Saturday and they had live singing starting at 7pm (not a live band, but live singers singing to a jazz backtrack). The food is pretty tasty just a little bit small portion for the price (the lamp chops mainly. The chicken shawarma and Mediterranean salad were fine). The dip trio appetizer was really yummy though and we ended up dipping all of our meals into the three different sauces haha. It was our waiter Yuri s first day but he was really nice! Would definitely come again for the vibes and the dip trio appetizer!

Editing my review as the ownership stepped up and took care of everything. Very happy with the outcome and their collaboration. TERRIBLE OWNERSHIP AND DECISIONS OF THE MANAGEMENT. Went to enjoy a lovely dinner with my daughter and while my car was parked in valet, the valet let a customer drive their own vehicle out of valet (I think this is not allowed .). That customer did a hit and run on my car while they were pulling out. We have video of them hitting, stopping and then fleeing the scene. The restaurant / valet is not stepping up to take responsibility for this and I am out $1,000 for my deductible to get my car repaired. How do people live with themselves by not taking responsibility for the actions of their employees? I m an optimist, but this has disappointed me in such a big way. I d love to support a local family run business, but not one that exists at the expense of their customers. This has gone down as the most expensive dinner I ve ever had. PLEASE DO NOT DINE AT THIS RESTAURANT AND SUPPORT THESE TERRIBLE BUSINESS PEOPLE.

This place is hard to review as its different from most other restaurants. The lobby is cozy and its nice to have a live music while youre eating. However, the food portion is smaller compare to other restaurants and are prices are higher. They also charge gratitude fees on party of 2+ and transaction fees for using credit cards which most restaurants dont charge. Come July, extra fees will be illegal to charge so not sure how that will impact their prices. The music volume was a bit high for the size of the eating lobby, it was hard to have conversation with the person across from me while the music was playing.

There are two main dining areas, and a small stage for live performances. Tucked in the back is the hookah lounge with cushy seats and urban garden decor. Food is delicious and well priced. We tried the filet skewers, beef stroganoff and shrimp risotto. The fig and burrata salad was excellent!

What happened to this place?? The food used to be so delicious. They took off all our favorite items off the menu. The food was very lackluster. We were so disappointed, it s just not the same anymore.
Published at a year ago
The food was very good. The service needs a lot of work. I also do not like the new policy they have with automatically adding in the tip. It was just my wife and I and that annoyed us us both! Not to mention the cost to park for valet was ten dollars. The lot is small with lots of open spots. No need for valet at all.
Published at a year ago
The service + ambiance is great but thats where it stops. My wife got the rib-eye steak and I got the lamb chops. Both were priced on the higher spectrum so our expectations were high. The food did not meet our expectations. We were disappointed. We did have the Mediterranean salad as an app and it was fresh bc you cant really screw that up. So it was a good start but ended very sharply when we tried our main meals. Another thing to mention, their bar is limited to their cocktail list and beers. Its not a full bar. We went there on a Saturday night. They have jazz group which was playing. Soon as we entered, the host told us there was a 15-30$ entertainment fee per person. Which I found was bit hefty given its not mentioned anywhere when you make a reservation. Its borderline not professional to show up to hear that when you drive out to this place to have a nice dinner. They also dont mention that there is a 3.99% charge if you pay by credit or debit cards. They say its not bc of them but the processors of their transactions. But I think we all know. Lets just say, its good place for one night experience. My wife and I wont return as the food doesnt meet our expectations while the ambiance is paid for and service is good.

This place was the best place in the west valley. Live jazz and authentic Armenian/ Lebanese cuisine. It has since become what appears to be a laundering venture. No one ever there. I don t think they have live jazz anymore. Officially the most expensive restaurant in America. $24 for a hummus trio. $28 for a chicken schwarma (small portion with frozen French fries). The food used to be fantastic, now so so. It is so sad that there are no decent / basic mediocre restaurants in West Hills. The neighborhood desperately needs somewhere to eat :(.

Olive & Fig is a Mediterranean restaurant and jazz bar that offers a unique and enjoyable dining experience. The food is authentic and delicious, the jazz music is live and soulful, and the ambiance is warm and inviting. I recently had the opportunity to dine at Olive & Fig with a group of friends. We started with the hummus and baba ghanoush, which were both excellent. The hummus was creamy and flavorful, and the baba ghanoush was smoky and tangy. For our main courses, we ordered the lamb kebabs, the grilled salmon, and the vegetarian moussaka. The lamb kebabs were juicy and flavorful, the grilled salmon was flaky and delicious, and the moussaka was rich and hearty. While we were eating, we enjoyed the live jazz music. The musicians were talented and passionate, and they played a variety of classic jazz tunes. The music added to the overall ambiance of the restaurant and made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience at Olive & Fig. The food was delicious, the music was great, and the ambiance was inviting. I would definitely recommend Olive & Fig to anyone looking for a unique and enjoyable dining experience. Here are some specific things I liked about Olive & Fig: The food is authentic and delicious. The chef uses fresh, high-quality ingredients to create dishes that are both flavorful and satisfying. The jazz music is live and soulful. The musicians are talented and passionate, and they play a variety of classic jazz tunes. The ambiance is warm and inviting. The restaurant is decorated with Mediterranean-inspired decor, and the lighting is dim and romantic. If youre looking for a special place to dine, I highly recommend Olive & Fig. You wont be disappointed!

I honestly really wanted to like this place. The live music is great, but the lack of service will make people not come back. The food is mediocre, Panini Kabob in Woodland Hills is much better. I asked for a side of chicken to accompany my filet minon plate, they charged me $17.95 for 5 small pieces the plate with rice and everything else cost 21.99. We waited 45 min to get our food and begged for someone to help us. I would never come back unfortunately, and im sure for the amount of money you ll spend you get better services drinks and food elsewhere. Only positive was the live music which I assume is what attracts the crowd.

Been here 4 times. Ambiance beautiful. First time food was good and excellent waiter. Last 3 times, terrible. All you taste was cumin and no variation in flavor. I m Middle Eastern, so i know the flavors. The sound system was terrible for the singers, like they were struggling, but VERY loud when the belly dancer was performing. 3 of the entertainers all complained the band didn t know the music, even with sheet music. ALL 4 times, I made reservations and requested a half booth. When we arrived, was told, unfortunately they are ALL reserved for parties of 4 or more . SERIOUSLY! It was empty on that Saturday, and each time. Boldface lie!!! Tell me that BEFORE I drive 50 miles and spend $200 for a tomato , rice and skimpy meat entre. Will never return!!

I am not big on writing reviews even with some of the most amazing places I have been but this place deserves it! Such a lovely and hidden restaurant with big charm. I surprised my boyfriend here with a nice date night and we were both so impressed. The decor was simple yet there was an elegance about it that made us feel very happy to be there. The live jazz band was the highlight of the evening. I believe the band was called The Aristocrats and they were absolutely amazing. It was honestly one of the best restaurant experiences Ive had in some time and I love that it is very local to where I live. The servers were very polite and gave some great and honest recommendations for food and drinks and the prices are just right (always a plus!). The food was fantastic as well. Thank you again for hosting us! We will be back very soon! :)

The food was tasty enough, BUT, there were too many negatives; We were a party of 4, & come from Middle Eastern family, so we KNOW good, authentic M.E, Cuisine. Rice should be Rice Pilaf with a little color, & their Rice was a scoop of plain, boiled & salted White Rice. Baba Ghanouj is supposed to be creamed with Tahini. Their weird rendition was highly vinigary, acidic chucks of Eggplant with tons of chunky Purple onion...Very weird. The meal came to the table exactly 1 hour & 20 minutes after we had ordered. What was also very upsetting was that one of my sons ordered a vegetarian sandwich, and 1 hour & 15 minutes AFTER ordering, our waiter came to our table apologetically informing us that someone who ordered before us used up all the Vegies they had remaining for that sandwich, so my son now needed to now order something else!! We were mystefied why they had waited 1 hour & 10 minutes to tell us this. Another son is a Gluten Free eater, & we asked for some sliced Cucumber for him to scoop up the dips instead of Pita. We were charged $4.00 for eight small slices of Cucumber. Much too expensive for the tiny portions. The Waiter was apologetic & friendly, but the Maitre D kept coming by tooting his horn about how wonderful their food is instead of apologizing. We will not return. Yes, its a Jazz venue, but the music was deafening so we had to yell to hear each other.

Super rude and unprofessional, I put my car for valet parking and 8 dollar, but they took my car and park on street and leave unlocked, after this manager took money from his pocket and says here get money and go pay for valet, super unprofessional, bad service, late staff and no responsibility DO NOT HAVE ANY FOOD HERE otherwise they will act like you are homeless from outside Dispointed

Atmosphere and music were good. Food was good but service was not. When time to leave we had to find a server for our bill and then find him again to pay. One reason to avoid this place is that cigarette smoking is allowed in the patio area.

Came on a weeknight with family and sat on the patio. Its a lovely partially enclosed patio with heat-lamps, accent lighting, and hanging plants. There was live music from inside, piped throughout the patio. The food was good! The highlights were their lentil soup, chicken breast entree, and greek salad. The falafel was just so-so (a little doughy). Unfortunately, the business condones smoking on their patio. There were two separate times when people came out to smoke. There were several ashtrays at tables, so this was obviously a common occurrence. It was a significant issue for our party, many of whom have asthma. We wont be coming back. This is an issue for the majority of the population and in violation of city ordinance. The business owners need to designate a smoking area 20 feet away from the guests, and in the front. Get with the times.

NEVER COMING BACK AGAIN!! 4/14/2023 8:30pm Took 15 mins before somebody ask for your orders, then 55mins to give you your food. And place was not even full.!!! I saw other table getting their food first even we came earlier than them. Waiter seems nice but the long wait sucks. Never coming back again!!!! Food received at 9:40pm.

Attended a life celebration and enjoyed some great middle eastern dishes. Would recommend this spot for food, atmosphere and service.

Filet Mignon was excellent. Atmosphere was immaculate. I did not go on a night where the band was playing. The restaraunt is a big small so I can understand other comments saying the band is too loud. Parking: Minimal parking availible. Better off parking on the street.

The atmosphere was great with the TV screens, which made the place prettier & feel larger. It was a great touch. We went to hear a Jazz singer & he was great. The food was inconsistent. The meat pie apps were excellent & the chicken & beef schwarma pretty good. The lentil soup very disappointing, thin broth with little taste. The baklava not a favorite. If you pull into their parking lot you are stuck with $8 valet parking. Park in the lot next door for free. We have friends that were there the week before & thought everything they had was wonderful so we will try it again. Especially those meat pies! Parking: Once you pull into their parking lot you have to pay for valet parking $8

Had reservations for 6pm, on valentines day. We arrived on time and seated right away, after we ordered our drinks, the server informed us, that her manager just informed her, that there will be a $75 minimum per person charge. I wanted to get up and leave, but where else am I going to get a table, at 6pm, on valentines day. They knew this, and that was the reason why they implemented this minimum, and only after we were seated. We were packed in like sardines in the restraunt, I was able to hear the server tell the other patrons, which also seemed to put people on the spot, which was not appropriate. Everything was average, the food, the service, and the atmosphere. The only thing that stood out was the jazz band.

DISAPPOINTED. We made a reservation for Feb 14th on their official website which took us to open table. All was good, once we arrived we sat down and the waitress informed us of the $75 min per person. Really? it did not say anything on the website or on open table, and no sign at the host table or on the window. Deceiving. Thats not the way to start a valentines night, so I am now aruing with the waitress. Asked for Manger, she says she is. Ok, not cool. I guess we can now leave and go to taco bell since all the other restaurants are sold out. Not sure if I will go back. I dont like the ethics of how the OWNER (as she claimed) decided to do that. I have now told this story to all our friends and most of them live in West Hills and Woodland Hills. This is how a decent restaurant can get a bad rep. Ruined my valentines evening.

We went there for my husband birthday, the place is beautiful and has nice vibe..but I think the dishes are over priced, we waited a long time for someone to take our order, the cocktails are wine based..the added items to our bill that we didnt ordered or orded and didnt received...over all I dont think I will be coming back.

Unfortunately, the food and service has gone downhill. The hummus is bland and my food was served lukewarm. The waiter never came back to refill my drink.

Music was a bit loud, but loved everything else about the place. I was able to find street parking otherwise there is only valet parking which seem ridiculous for where the restaurant is at. Food is great!

We shared 5 appetizers and three entrees. Everything was prepared expertly but the portions were small for the prices theyre charging. So its difficult to order family style and share everything when theres not enough to go around. We went on a Thusday nights and the shredded wheat sweet cheese dessert tasted like it had been in the fridge a while before it was warmed in the microwave. Served chilled like galatapudico would have been better as long as its fresh. The napoleon was okay...not great, but Im married to a Russian whose grandfather always made a great one so she has very high napoleon standards. The music was great, service was great, and food was an 8 out of 10. Thats still an A in my book. We had a great time!

I ve been seeing this place for a while now and finally gave it a try. The location is beautifully renovated. The food is delicious Mediterranean. I specially enjoyed the whole fish branzino it was seasoned so well and charred to perfection. They don t have a full bar but they have an extensive wine selection with decent prices. The dessert was also delicious I had the Kunefe. The ambiance was a bit loud with live music but enjoyable. To my surprise there was a belly dancer and she was amazing. I highly recommend a I will be coming back regularly.

Was here for dinner with a group on a Saturday night and every one of us were disappointed in the food, service, volume of music and the crazy prices! The food was the worst Ive had at a restaurant in a long time. I think the only way this place stays open is the live jazz (which was too loud to have a conversation) and the location. There isnt too many restaurants in the area so I can see why people come in..not too many choices nearby. This restaurant would not survive in any other part of LA. The food was salty, bland, oily, small portions and way overpriced. And on top of it they charge $8 to park which is a lot for that part of the valley. The whole experience was awful!

You must be a customer to Lebanonese spices very poient cumin, tuyni, and coriander. Appetizers are better than the main dishes, Tabouli, Stuff Grape Leafs, Baba Ganeuse and Hummus all good. Parking is tight valet $8 only. Good place for a date. Music and entertainment belly dancer Thursday to Saturday. I would go back to try something different. Parking: Valet $8.

The jazz band was amazing. Best Ive seen. They are called The Aristocrats. Just brilliant. The Filet Steak kabob that I got was delicious and tender. But at $27 it was way over priced for the amount that I got. The hummus was also delicious and served with Persian bread. But again, expensive. $12 for a small serving. But again, the music was great and I stayed for all 3 sets. So overall, it was well worth the price.

Disappointment Food: The food was okay, but only okay... Overpriced for sure, for what you get. Plenty of better Middle Eastern restaurants around this area. The main dish mentioned it was to be accompanied with rice and tomatoes, plural, and came with a single small tomato ... We had the beef lulu and like I mentioned, it was unnotable.. The baklava is supposedly made in house, but was also, meh... Service: They were so over staffed when we visited on a Friday night that there were many employees just standing around searching for something to do. The staff kind of rushed us to finish our food faster than we could even enjoy the ambiance of the jazz band. Even though we made a reservation and the restaurant was 40% empty... They brought us our appetizer along with the main dish and brought us the check before we could order dessert... So in summary, not nice... Atmosphere: They seem to have invested more money with setting up the restaurants superficial decor then they did in making sure their food quality matched their prices... Its an overly lit jazz bar with cheap square tables. The table settings are tight, so watch your elbows. Price: Not worth it. We are simply not going back. Thx

They serve fresh Mediterranean food and have live Jazz performances after 7 p.m. The decor is classy and unique. The outdoor patio in back of the restaurant is spacious and has a full bar. Vegetarian options: They serve lentil soup and have hummus appetizers.

My boyfriend and I sat at the bar and ended up being served by the owner. He was amazing as was the food and the jazz music next to us. We mainly went for drinks but ended up ordering the veggie platter to share, and then the owner gave us some free taboulleh and baklava and topped off our drinks. Every single dish was unbelievably good and the flavors were perfect. The best baklava I ve ever had. The owner also was just really cool, we had good conversation and learned about the work he put into the place, and he walked us out at the end. 10/10 would go here again and highly recommend! Thank you again!
