Quaint, local shop with a patio, offering espresso, treats & acai bowls in a comfortable atmosphere.
We had a great breakfast here. Ordered the avocado on toast (with tomatoes) which was very fresh and tasty. Had a black pepper lemon spice on it which was a great fit! Yogurt bowl with fruits wa delicious to. Had the small portion which was the perfect size.
Coffee was very good and would go back.
Service was fantastic. A tomatoes slice solid off the toast and we got a new one. It had all the beautiful spice on it so very much appreciated. Classic.

Great food but keep in mind that the avocado toast (specifically the gf one) is only one small slice and it’s extra $ to add on the good stuff. The yogurt/ gluten free granola parfait and oat milk lavender latte were both DELISH! We were told any bowls would take 20+ minutes to make which seems insane (coming from someone who used to work at a smoothie/breakfast/coffee shop we never had that kind of wait even when equally as busy). Luckily, it didn’t take 20 minutes for the parfait but just a heads up if you’re in need to a quick breakfast. You can tell it’s a beloved restaurant of the vacationers and locals and based on taste you can see why, but is still a bit pricey for what you get.

I went on a Sunday morning and it was so busy. I ordered a matcha Tea with oat milk and a bagel.
They forgot my tea and when I asked one of the baristas she was almost annoyed I asked. The matcha wasn’t mixed well, I could taste the graininess of it. The bagel was delicious.
The acai bowls looked amazing. I want to go back to try them out.

What a great place for your morning coffee! Do not get discouraged If you see the line..they are efficient they move quickly and there is a big tree to give you a shade so the sun is not bitting on you. Great avocado sandwich and not bad oat meal with fresh fruits.

It’s a cool little coffee shop. I asked an almond latte. I saw a girl prepare a drink using milk from a big plastic bottle. When she called my name I asked her if this was made with almond milk. She looked at me and said yes. Well, half way through my drink my stomach told me it was regular milk. There is a reason why we ask for certain things. I guess she was having a bad morning and I paid for it.

Place is awesome!! We’re traveling down the coast and found this gem. I love my espresso and a legit americano is hard to come by. This place delivered! It’s fresh, mild tasting, easy and enjoyable drinking. My wife also said that her oat milk London fog with vanilla was the best she’s ever had. Great smoothie bowl and croissant was great too.

The minds eye tea was delicious, I highly recommend! Also, not a lot of coffee shops offer “for here” mugs anymore so it was so lovely to get our drinks in real mugs. Not a lot of indoor seating on a gloomy day. There was always a long line but it moves very quickly.

the coffee here is soooo good! I have to say its one of the best I've had. The service was not good. I was in the front waiting for someone to acknowledge me and girls kept talking and having a full conversation almost felt like I was bothering them with my presense. that is the only reason I didn't give it a 5 star. I want to go over more often but I am going to save my hard earn money and spend it elsewhere. I don't want a red carpet but at least pay attention.

Ordered two lattes, paid for two lattes and then they claimed that I only ordered one, making me pay for an additional latte that I had already paid for. Refused to believe that I paid for two. Giving it two stars because the lattes were good but otherwise would never come back here. They clearly are super disorganized and workers are clueless.

We honestly were very disappointed with this coffee house after we’ve found broken plastic pieces in not just one but two of the açaí bowls we’ve ordered (assuming they were broken parts of their blender). We have tried calling their coffee shop’s phone number for the past four days but no one picked up. We were more worried about the next person having to go through the same thing and potentially choke on these. So unprofessional, really wish you guys were more attentive.

Best coffee and pastries in Carp by far. My cortado could have been a little better, and I’ve certainly had a better kouign-amman in the world but it’s pretty close to the best and both certainly met my specialty standards. The chocolate croissant was the best I’ve had in any city in the US though. Also around great spot but get there early as they sell out of the pastries quick

One of the only walkable coffee shops if you're coming from the beach, campground, or Linden shopping.
And thankfully they have plenty of plant-based milks for coffee. I ordered hot and iced oatmilk lattes with hazelnut and vanilla flavorings the days I was there. They were ok--not bad but not delicious either. It got the job done. I also wished they had more flavors or unique offerings... Lavender lattes, seasonal flavors, etc. (Which is why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars.)
While they have lots of plant-based bowl options, they didn't have vegan/plant-based pastries from the look of it.
Their hours are 7-2:30pm daily upon writing this. Their prices were comparable to Starbucks. The service is speedy and friendly. The designs on the coffee are fancy, but because of that, they place your coffee on the pickup bar and you have to put the lid on. And I'm not sure why, but the lids fit awkwardly on the cups. I kept double checking to make sure that it was on all the way.

We really liked lucky llama previously but I had to drop my previous rating. We ordered 5 drinks and one of them was terrible, completely undrinkable. When we asked for a replacement for the one drink there was no apology and they charged us for the new drink. Such poor customer service. Disappointed.

I'd give a million stars if I could!!! The staff always has the best vibes and quick service. The indoor and outdoor seating areas are great for working alone or meeting with clients(or bird, dog and baby watching depending on where you are in your life lol). Starting my day with Lucky Llama always means the rest of the day is going to be successful. Getting ready for a big work day? Their espresso is delicious! Hangin' at the beach? I love their chai and matcha teas! Looking for an everyday drink? Can't beat an oat milk latte! There's a variety of toasts, bowls, pastries and other yummy goodies. Like I said, Llama deserves a million stars for kick starting my days!

Everyone has been telling me to try the açaí at this place for a long time. And boy am I glad I did. The fresh fruit and smoothie blend reminded me of açaí I’ve had in Hawaii. I was a little disappointed that they didn’t have chocolate as an add on for the bowl but they added chocolate syrup for me instead. Very tasty. Great ambience. Will become a regular stop on my trips to Carpinteria.
