I loved the old-fashioned malt shop vibe. The little vinyl 45s on the wall were great, just the whole vibe in general . The food was fantastic, the bacon cheeseburger with toasted bun was huge, and the onion rings with a side of ranch and bbq hit the spot. The cheeseburger and fries were also a hit with my wife. The 50s music in the background really took me back to the Happy Days vibe. I wish we still had places like this all over, but that was different times that would be great to revisit. Thank you for the blast from the past!!

Been coming here since it was the Happy Face Malt Shop in the late 1980s.
It has changed ownership a few times since then, but the malts and shakes remain the same! There are about a dozen booths to sit at and the decor is reminiscent of a 50s diner. Burgers are named after classic cars. My go to is a peanut butter malt. Tastes like the inside of a Reese’s peanut butter cup.
Service is always very friendly, but they get backed up quickly during peak summer days.
I’m glad this place is still around and I hope I can continue to come here for another 40 years.

The Ceder Glen Malt Shop is a nostalgic, local place here in Ceder Glen. I went here on two separate occasions two days in a row the first time for malts and the second time for fish and chips.

The malt on the first boat was pretty good! We had a hot caramel malt with chocolate ice cream she it was delicious. They actually put in a great deal of caramel and it was a good malt. Though, I will say it could have used more of the malt flavoring.

The second day I went because I wanted some fish and chips for lunch and the malt shop obliges for that type of craving. However, I was somewhat disappointed because the fish seemed overcooked a bit and all the fillets were very greasy. Not exactly the eating experience I was going for. I will say they were crunchy though!

The fries were a disappointment too. They tasted somewhat bland and didn’t come pre-seasoned in any way. When I tried adding salt, it just fell off.

The salad that came with the meal was pretty good though!

So I can recommend it for malts or ice cream, but I can’t recommend it if you are looking for a good fish and chips. I’m still glad I tried it though!

This spot was recommended by a friend. It's a small diner with a 50's theme like the old Frisco's in the city of industry that has since been closed for some time now. The food was good. I ordered the Ortega burger a.k.a. "the Lowrider". Very tasty burger indeed. The fries were just fries. If there is room for improvement, it would be there. This is a great, old time, malt shop! The interior reminded me of diners I used to visit as a young boy. The burgers are great, I had the classic hamburger and the chocolate shake was phenomenal! When I visit Arrowhead, I will be back!!!

This place is super authentic, and the food is amazing! Their malts are the best! Mi hijo and I went there for after dinner ice cream and at first, we had trouble parking. That led to a tense moment between mi hijo and me, but once we calmed down and started in on our strawberry malts, all was right with our world.

We love the malts here and always bring friends and family when they visit, however the outdoor space is a really uninspiring space. A bench next to trash cans and tarps makes us skip coming here when we otherwise would love to eat here. I really hope the team improves the outdoor space.

This a very classic Burger and Malt Shop located near Lake Arrowhead in Cedar Glen. The burger menu is stunning, as are the shake and malt offerings. The volume and quality of our orders was over the top. The malts were made with real ice cream and can be ordered double malt. Parking can be a bit tight but is manageable. The venue is not handicap friendly. Too tight for wheelchairs inside and some door access difficulty. But we all agree this is a place well worth seeking out.

This is food that is great for the soul! My wife, kids and I have been enjoying the Malt Shop for over a decade now. Their food and the service are consistently great! I have never had a complaint during the entire time that we have been eating here. Also, dont skip the milkshake after eating!

Always a must! I have memories of coming here when we went to family camp in Twin Peaks, and it was always something to look forward to as a kid. Now, as an adult, I appreciate how good their food actually is! The burgers are great (Favorite is Road Master, add Ortega chilies. Or low rider.) Their fries are fresh cut and always good. And the malts are always a hit! (Peanut butter malt, add hot fudge and peanuts.)

Veggie Burgers are just Garden burgers, but they are well crafted and delicious. If they start using Impossible or Beyond, they would be unstoppable. Vegetarian options: The garden burger has a name but I don t remember what that is, but you can ask the cook to make whatever burger you want with the veggie patties as well as a lettuce leave wrapped instead of a bun. Parking: I think they have 6 parking spots right on from the the establishment, just of the road. Use caution. Kid-friendliness: Place has iced cream and shakes for heaven sakes. Wheelchair accessibility: Everything is on a single level, use caution because parking lot is right by the road.

We went to Cedar Glen Malt Shop on Mothers Day, same as Last year. We love their hamburgers and shakes. We ordered our food and took it down the road and had a picnic underneath the pine trees. The hamburgers are named after vintage cars. The hamburgers, fries and milkshakes are great. The decor is in the 50s, the restaurant is clean and the staff is very friendly. We will be back next year on Mother s Day again.

The Malt Shop has legendary status amongst locals, been around as long as I can recall, at least since the early 90s. You wont find a better burger west of Big Bear; juicy, big, generous toppings, and a side of fries to go with. The shakes and malts are delicious also. Great for pickup or dine-in. Try the Low Rider. Add blue cheese crumbles and its burger heaven.

Just wanted to say how wonderful it was to see the Malt Shop is still opened and the public is still enjoying their classic food. I lived just up from the corner on Lakeview and worked a short time for the new owner about 48 years ago. I was a terrible waitress (the owner was very nice and forgiving), but the malt shop was known even back then for its peanut butter and its fresh peach malts that you could only eat with a spoon. Wishing you many more years of smiles.

We come here every time were up in arrowhead. The service is always great. It is a tiny spot and parking can be hard sometimes but weve always been able to walk right in and sit down. We had our 4 kids with us and theyre very family friendly with plenty of high chairs and booster seats available. We ordered a bunch of burgers and fries. The Edsel burger was delicious. Also ordered the fish and chips which was surprisingly delicious! We always order ice creams and malts and they never let you down. Definitely recommend it.

This is an updated review. I went about 9 months ago and had a great experience and good food. I recently took my children and husband, we did not have the same experience. The service wasn t good. I understand prices have gone up but this was over priced and my burger was raw. Completely undercooked. I should ve cut it in half to check it but a few bites in and it was raw, undercooked. I couldn t eat it. I usually get a veggie burger and never have a problem but decided to get a burger this time. It was completely raw in the middle. Fries were all different types of fries which I ve never seen here. They usually have yummy kind of thin crunchy fries. The only thing that was good was the malts but we got 3 of those and 2 shakes and that was $40. We also got 2 burgers and a BLT. The total was $90. With a $10 tip. Unfortunately as a local who has been going here for 20 years I will probably never come back. How is McDonald s cheaper than this place? And if you want people to eat here at least taste better than fast food yeah?

This was my first time here. The Cadillac Coup DeVille (Bacon Cheeseburger), Fries, and the Chocolate Malt were all so delicious! The staff are wonderful and helpful! It s very clean. I will definitely be coming back!!

The Ortega burger called the Low Rider was exactly what I was looking for. It had that tastey char flavor in the meat and perfect blend of flavor. The staff was pleasant and attentive while the atmosphere screamed 50s greaser and hot rods. I loved it.

OMG amazing Burgers, onion rings & fries are delicious! Great portions and pricing and staff everything was great !!! If you are ever up in this area you got stop in.

I love this little place! Its been here for years, but I was just introduced to it this past summer. I have introduced several of my Jeepn friends to it ever since. Its a great spot, with tasty food and great service! Will definitely be back as often as possible

Brought our family, including kids for dinner and everyone LOVED IT! Fresh, hot food and such friendly employees! We loved it so much that we came back a couple days later for lunch before we left Arrowhead! Highly recommend!!!

I love the inside of this diner, the booths have neat pictures and the menu is oldies car themed. My boyfriend grew up going here as a kid, and its still excellent. Both of us were really happy with our burgers, and we split a full order of chili cheese fries. Sooo good! I pretty much attacked the plate of chili cheese fries. Excellent milkshakes. I definitely ate too much, but it was a good experience.

Finally found the Cedar Glen Malt Shop. Kinda cute, vintage cars theme. Had chocolate chip malt and it was delicious!

Exactly what you expect. Burger was fine a little expensive for what seemed to be a frozen patty. Toppings were great. Onion rings great. Banana split was very good, the ice cream was a little too soft but I still really enjoyed it.
