Dimassi's Mediterranean Buffet

I finally made it to Dimassi's and I was pleasantly surprised. AYCE Mediterranean food? Yes please. I got there when it opened so everything was clean, tidy, and ready to go. They had a big variety of hummus, dips, salads, meats, and lots of different chicken options. The price for an AYCE buffet with such a variety was great. The pita bread was warm but just okay for me. If you didn't eat it quickly, it got hard pretty quickly. Overall, the food was good. Nothing extraordinary but all good. I will say that the gyro meat was confusing. Either they had the meat sitting out a while or it's just the way they make it but it was hard, almost beef jerky like. Drinks are included which includes Rose Water. They have a few fruit and dessert options. Because of the variety, I think this is a place even for vegetarians.

As for the service, the Hostess, if that's what she was supposed to be, was barely helpful. According to her, during the lunch hour and when it's not too busy, you seat yourself. You just walk in and find yourself an open table. From that point, you serve yourself and no one comes by to check on you. There are no servers and the only person to come by is the person picking up used plates. You do see a person walking around taking notes of how many people are at each table which they MAY reference when you pay, but I'm not sure. Anyhow, you are left to your own devices. Maybe it's different during the dinner hour.

After watching so many reviews of this restaurant on YouTube, I decided to finally try it. I'm glad that I took a chance. Everyone pays after their meal, and it was certainly a filling meal. Be sure to press the bell for a lamb shank whenever it is available. The lamb shank was well worth it, and I couldn't believe how tender it was. It didn't taste gamey at all and just a wonderful source of protein. I feel if a person is vegetarian, this buffet is actually amazing for that as well. There are a lot of different options that don't include meat in it. The meal was great. Didn't need to eat dinner for the day after how filling it was. The desserts were just right. Not too sweet and expected from Mediterranean style desserts. Had to get more dessert after my first plate. Highly recommend !

hands down the best mediterranean buffet in town. highly recommend and will definitely come back. lunch pricing is best, included in review is most updated price. the food can be filling so choose wisely. the menu is very tasty, they have self serve drink station and a dessert bar but it is limited. huge parking and seating inside. the dinner menu I believe includes a lamb chop one each per person. they have tea/coffee as well, good for the sweets they have after the meal.

We went here on a Saturday afternoon for the buffet. It was our first time here. It was clean and they kept the buffet well stocked. It was a very nice display of food. You can order lamb shank for an additional $10.99. We skipped that as there was plenty to eat. The hummus was excellent, smooth and tasty. The pita was fresh, warm and just made. So delicious. The chicken was good, the lamb (cut into small pieces) was tender and tasty. The salads fresh and the baklava wasn't overly sweet and paired well with coffee. Drinks are included in the price. The staff is very attentive at clearing away your used dishes. With tax we paid about $31 for the buffet on the weekend and I believe weekdays the buffet is cheaper. If you are a big eater then this is a good deal. However if you are a petite eater, then this buffet would not be budget friendly. Overall, it was clean, fresh, and tasty.

I recently celebrated my birthday at Dimassi’s Mediterranean Buffet with a group of friends. Overall, we had a pleasant experience, but there are a few points worth mentioning.

Food: 4/5
The dishes were delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed the variety offered. However, some items, like the grape leaves, were not as fresh as we had hoped. Aside from that, everything else was fantastic.

Service: 3/5
The service could use some improvement. We had to clear our own plates, which took away from the dining experience. Additionally, I asked if we could store my birthday cake in their fridge, but they declined. I understand there are regulations, but sometimes exceptions can be made for special occasions.

Atmosphere: Good
The atmosphere was enjoyable and contributed to a pleasant dining experience.

Overall, it was a good experience with room for some improvements.

Best Mediterranean food ever. We were regular customers when we lived in Texas. When we moved to California, I wished they would open a branch in California. I am very happy that they did. I am sure that if you have tried the food here once, you will become a regular customer.

This buffet is the BEST Mediterranean food and selection in Southern California! Everything is made fresh and the selection of salads is incredible. I always enjoy their rose water, the lamb was so tender, and hummus…doesn’t matter which one you choose. They are all delicious with the freshly made pita. The atmosphere is pleasant and the staff is very attentive in keeping the place clean and neat. I would recommend this place for people of all ages, friends, family & coworkers to eat at. The price is affordable and I think it’s an AMAZING deal for the variety of meats, salad and desserts. You guys will always have my business and I will keep recommending you to everyone I know. Keep up the good work!!!

Great value for weekday LUNCH. Huge selection; meat balls meh. Shawarma (gyro) meh. Fried fish delicious, less so the boiled fish. Kofta tasty, a bit over-grilled. Falafel spot on. Was there last night for dinner. It a nice place, but after we started eating we tasted some of the meat and it was a bit gamey tasting. A few hours later and I started getting a fever. I m laying here now with really bad FOOD POISONING. Be careful what you re eating here. They re definitely reusing old food mixed with new food.

Pretty decent mediterranean buffet. Company originated in Texas. Expanded to California. There are two locations in SoCal. Price: pretty good (for the selection and quality). Though you definitely know it s not very high quality, it s also not awful quality like you d see at HomeTown Buffet or Golden Corral. Variety/Selection: for the price, not too bad. Not exciting. Lot of different salads, a couple non-traditional items (fried chicken, fried fish, pizza slices, meatballs, lasagna, etc), several varieties of hummus, fresh baked bread (in-house), and a couple different meat items (several chicken options, 1 beef option (kabobs), 1 lamb gyro option) and a lentil and chicken soup. Also you can get 1 free lamb shank available every night for the dinner option (it s restricted to 1 shank per person). Beyond that it s an additional cost. And you can get access on weekend only to the lamb and rice. These are lovely and fatty chunks of lamb on the bone. If you are coming here the first time, come on the weekend. Dinner or lunch - doesn t matter. Come when it s least busy. As for deserts, not much. But they are traditional and done well. Cantaloupe/honeydew, oranges, 3 bread-based baked deserts and 2 non-bread based (a pudding and jelly like desert). Very happy they have Coke Zero here as well. They also offer coffee (which is surprisingly pretty good), tea bags, and rose water. Quality: The lamb shank (limit 1 per person). The lamb on bone with rice (buffet dish, no limit. Only offered on weekends). The pita bread. The coffee (surprisingly good). And strangely enough the Coke Zero. I don t know how they formulate the syrup/carbonation ratios here but it s the best I ve had. Everything else there is just kind of average. But where else can you go for this price? Not many options out there. It s decent enough without breaking the bank. The beef kabobs were the only beef offering and really aren t that great. Really lean meat. But still, appreciate they are offering it considering how expensive food is becoming. I m glad this place is around.

Super clean, delicious food and pita bread comes out every 15 minutes. I love the salads, they are delicious, it has a very good variety of Mediterranean dishes, I would add almond rice which is very typical of them. Otherwise everything is delicious. You can carry food by weight. So it is also a good option I would improve the desserts, I feel that their desserts lack a little more Mediterranean flavor and more pistachio since it is their nut par excellence. But this doesnt take away the stars.

We drove here only as we saw on tiktok and on Google that they had skewers and different types, we went on a Saturday afternoon and there was none, the gyro meat was cold and dry, they do have about 6 different types of chicken dishes, lots of veggies and a good variety of hummus and the pita bread was warm, this was good, and desserts were very good as well, we paid $20x.person and dinner is $27 which is pricier. I was definitely expecting more since we like Mediterranean food, however Dimassis fell short fell quite short of expectations.

Met up for friends for a birthday celebration. Thursday 2pm-4pm. Not too crowded, plenty of parking and seating in each section. Greeted at the door. I was surprised that the buffet was paid after eating. Most buffets charge when you enter. Food areas were clean, bright and full of fresh selections to satisfy all guests. Lots of healthy choices and vegan selections. Please add feta cheese for topping salads. The colorful display of hummus and hot bread was my favorite station. Surprised to see shrimp fried rice, but it was terrific! By the time I reached the meat selections, my plate was already full. Tip: walk the entire buffet line before you put anything on your plate. Try out something new like grape leaves, kafta, or lentil soup. Save room for the baklava!

I found this place via a posting on Instagram. The location is clean, big and with lots of parking space since it s in a shopping area. I believe the building used to be owned by Mimi s Cafe. The location is all self-served ; you choose your own seats, and from there you serve everything yourself. The food is good in terms of quality and freshness. The bread is made fresh and the stations are constantly refilled. If you like lamb, you are entitled to one bone in lab shank (you have to ring the bell by the naan area to get it). I would definitely visit again, but during the lunch hours or the week. The cost during this time period is $19.00 per person vs. $29 during dinner or the weekends.

The girl at the counter was extremely rude and need training in customer service. I can understand that restaurants can be busy and not always able to accommodate requests or customers but how you say something is very important. Kindness goes long way but being rude and arrogant has no place in service industry.

Good food but rather crowded when we went to this restaurant. The staff makes every effort to clean the facility (bathroom included) and are efficient & friendly. The prices per person are a kind of confusing concept to understand: these issues all seem to affect prices; Lunch-or-Dinner Weekend-or-Weekday Child-or-Adult. But the part that is really uncomfortable is that the cashier says Dont pay until you Finish but nothing seems to be POSTED about prices near the cash register, nor anywhere else. And once I paid for the two of us I felt like it was even more than expected. It is odd that there is nothing in the Google Star Rating system to reflect neither Value nor Price Charging SEPARATELY for drinks might bring the price of the buffet down a couple of dollars as well.

First time and it was a pleasant experience. The most delicious Mediterranean food in California. Very friendly service from all the staff and from the moment we arrived with ample parking. In general, the options of salads, proteins, drinks and desserts were delicious. Some elements like the freshly baked Pita and the smoky flavor in some of the dishes made it a wonderful dining experience. My family and I agree that it has become our favorite place for Mediterranean food.

Lunch is not worth the price. I dont know about dinner. If you go there for lunch make sure you get out before 4:00 pm or they will charge you a dinner price wich is $11 dlls more expensive(on fridays)($7 on mon-thursday) even if you stay 3 to 5 min after 4 pm. Be aware of this becouse they dont have any signs at the entrance about this.

I still can t believe that the first time I ate jalapeños, I ended up being rushed to the emergency room with vomiting and diarrhea. It was incredibly uncomfortable. Everyone should be extra cautious when ordering takeout. I thought it was just a regular jalapeño, but after one bite, the heat was so intense I had to spit it out. Even after drinking water to calm the spice, I still couldn t avoid food poisoning. In the middle of the night, I was hit with severe vomiting and diarrhea, and had to go to the ER! I never imagined something like this could happen. I really hope the restaurant clearly indicates on the takeout boxes when there are extra-spicy peppers that go beyond the usual heat level!

The food was not very fresh, there was rice with shrimp with a bad smell. And the dessert area is sad, there was not a single fresh dessert, everything was hard and old. I thought it was very low quality for the price per person.

Dimassis Mediterranean Buffet is an awesome spot with a great variety of food. The place has a nice ambiance, and the food quality is generally good. The price is okay, but I recommend coming during weekdays when its more affordable. One of the highlights for me is their mansaf with lamb, its absolutely delicious! Its also nice that sodas are included with the meal. However, I found the dessert selection a bit disappointing; the taste just wasnt up to par. Overall, its worth a visit, especially for that mansaf!

Great family restaurant buffet, plenty of options for everyone from salads, beef, chicken , I highly recommend there lamb shank, and their salads are delicious, also they have a free refill beverage station, and desert area, the price is great for the amount and variety they have. I have been going back continuously and will continue to do so.

Today is my first visiting the buffet and Im very surprised that quality of the food is pretty good, they have variety of Salads, soups, bread, lots of arabic or Mediterranean spreads as Hummus and baba ghenoush...., they also have different types or rices and meats. There is an additional fee of $10.00 for Lamb Chops which is actually very reasonable. They also have Coffee, tea and soft drinks, all you can eat or drink.

We went here on a Saturday afternoon for the buffet. It was our first time here. It was clean and they kept the buffet well stocked. It was a very nice display of food. You can order lamb shank for an additional $10.99. We skipped that as there was plenty to eat. The hummus was excellent, smooth and tasty. The pita was fresh, warm and just made. So delicious. The chicken was good, the lamb (cut into small pieces) was tender and tasty. The salads fresh and the baklava wasnt overly sweet and paired well with coffee. Drinks are included in the price. The staff is very attentive at clearing away your used dishes. With tax we paid about $31 for the buffet on the weekend and I believe weekdays the buffet is cheaper. If you are a big eater then this is a good deal. However if you are a petite eater, then this buffet would not be budget friendly. Overall, it was clean, fresh, and tasty.

Best Mediterranean food ever. We were regular customers when we lived in Texas. When we moved to California, I wished they would open a branch in California. I am very happy that they did. I am sure that if you have tried the food here once, you will become a regular customer.

I cant believe there are so many people that go here. I was expecting so much more from this place. Some food was ok, the rest was not tasty and dry. Maybe I went in a really bad day for the food . But the atmosphere is horrible. I have a baby , they made me sit in the corner because we have stroller ,the seats are so close together, when you get up to get your food you have to ask other tables to get up from there seats to go get more food. This is if they sit you in the room to the left when you walk in. Otherwise ,your sitting right next to the buffet while people are getting there food 3 feet from you ,basically being looked at while you eat. Not worth the money at all. So disappointed, I wish i could have refused to pay.

All I can say is that whats not good for me is good for someone else. Im Lebanese myself, and I guess when you have to make food in bulk, it doesnt taste good. Plus, their website said before 1pm the price per qad about $20,. They charge you after youre done so that you pass the hours into dinner and charge you twice as more. I dont lime sneaky things lime that because I thought it was going to be about 40 something. But no, it was close to 70 dollars for 2. Man, for thar price, I fead 3 people the night before at a Korean all you can ear bar b que. Plus they had so much room we waited 1 and a half hour to sit in a crappy area and I looked and in the much more quit area was more room but I know why we were sat were we were at, Im Lebanese but I look lime another race, thats all I can say.

Gave it 1 star because I couldnt give ot ant lower score. Went on Labor Day the wait wasnt long the hostess was very kind and so were the cleaning crew. But when it came to the food, thats a different story. Food was cold, not enough plates nor glasses for a full buffet. Plus, my son got food poisoning.

Mostly everything from the buffet was cold. I know some dishes are supposed to be served hot they were just super cold. I think maybe if you go on a weekday when its 20 its worth it but not 30 on the weekends.
