We absolutely love their fresh made guacamole!! You can get it in mild, medium or spicy!! If you like a little spice, get the spicy! Definitely get one for the table to share and even one to go. Their bean dip, refried beans and rice are so tasty!!

Me and my partner have decided that, after having passed by this restaurant several times, that we'd finally check it out. The staff were super friendly, the restaurant itself looked very nice, clean and authentic. Ordered the Large Los Toros Sampler, which consists of quesadillas, taquitos, nachos, flautas, and carnitas, served with sour cream, guacamole, and the restaurant's special sauce. Good stuff.... But yeah, order this if you want something shareable between you and someone else because the "large" sampler definitely lives up to its name.

From the service, to the atmosphere, and finally the food itself, you are in for absolutely amazing time if you're in the mood for Mexican food and want to give this restaurant a visit.

Love this place! It's a true gem in the Chatsworth restaurant scene. Papa Nick's Margarita 🍸🍸 is a must. So flavorful and they don't skimp on the salt rim. Tableside/Live Guacamole 🥑never disappoints. Aaron's Burrito, Huevos Rancheros🥚, Fajitas, Machaca con Huevos, Pozole and Menudo, combos, specials have all been delicious. Never had a bad meal here. Patio has been completely renovated (with plenty heat lamps). Staff super nice and seems to remember the regulars. Well worth the extra couple miles to dine here.

The place is nice , the menu fine ,we ordered the chilaquiles and the tex mex and both were delicious. The restaurant is nice , lively. The Margaritas ok we ordered the Los toros and had a weird taste but good. The effects last long time...lol overall a good place for Mexican food.

The service is usually good but The margaritas and food have really gone downhill. I can’t even believe how terrible the margaritas were last night. We had to send two of them back because they didn’t even taste like a margarita, and there was a pinkish hue to them (they were poured from a picture of a premade mixture). After we sent them back, they brought two new ones that were the usual color of margaritas, yellowish. Those were better, probably because the bartender made them fresh. Such a shame because it’s such a great spot and we used to go there all the time. Hopefully, the owners/managers start making some improvements to the quality of the food and drinks. a lot of people have been complaining about the quality of the food and drinks lately.

This food was absolutely disgusting! The server was non-chalant and gave her boyfriend at the bar more attention than us. manager did not care at all and I basically paid for alpo enchiladas and tacos. My taco was soggy and my enchiladas was very dry. I consider myself a black Amigo so I love tacos and tequila but this place right here was beyond pitiful! Overpriced and terrible quality food and customer service. I ask for manager he wouldn’t come out, after the third time he came out sipping a soda looking extremely high or drunk with that lil ponytail and said the food was nasty cause it sat. When I’m reality the server never came back to make sure everything was good. He didn’t care was extremely rude and even pose for another picture that I did not take. Spend your money somewhere else, but it’s Tara blvd should have not expected anything better smh. My sister tried to eat her food because she was hungry.

Me and my partner have decided that, after having passed by this restaurant several times, that we'd finally check it out. We ordered faitas but most of the meats was charred. Maybe it was because we went near closing time. The waiter was a little too engaging, maybe he could do with quick friendly gestures and move on.

This was second time was invited to Restaurant by family to celebrate a birthday. party of 4
Arrive at 630pm. waited 10 minutes for table in cantania(outside area). Sat at table waited 20 minutes for someone to bring Chip,Beans, salsa. Then 10 minutes for our drinks(non- Alcoholic) Ask for more chips and stuff. another 10 minutes. Took our order at this time. food arrived within 10-15 minutes. Oh, never saw waiter for refills on drinks or again chips.
If your okay with horrible service (twice) Then this place will please you.
There are other great Mexican food close by
just Google.
Ps. Again my experience twice here. I eat out almost every day.

Probably the worst carne asada I've ever had. The meat was tough, not tender at allllll. The only thing I enjoyed was the guacamole, other than that, it was the same ol' beans drowning in cheese, hard, cold rice, an enchilada stuffed and restuffed with cheese. Cold tortillas to top it all off, oh and crazy expensive for food I barely touched. The desert was awful, hard churos, flan with absolutely no flavor, wow, wish I could stop, but the awfulness just keeps coming. The server was nice and accommodating, but nothing out of the ordinary. Haven't been here in years and now I remember why, lol! Whatever!

Went there for food and drinks with a party of 15. They accommodated and seated us very quickly. Food was just ok. From the salsa and chips to the main dishes. Carnitas were dry on 2 of our dishes, and we were charged an additional $2 per taco for Tacos de Papa (potatoe). They do offer vegan and keto options like a molcajete of guacamole. Service was good at first. Beers, chips and salsa were on rotation, but when we were ready to order food, they sent us Manny. Once that happened, the service went downhill from there. Not sure if it was the automatic gratuity charge, but that's where the night ended. He was definitely a veteran of the restaurant, but being rude is not a good look. I wish I would have taken my $500+ tab somewhere else. I will not be back to this restaurant.

I've never been here personally, but I've watched the episode from Gordon Ramsay's 24 Hours to Hell and Back a few times. We didn't like anything that we ordered.
I got the 3 choice combo, their machaca and chips were the only things I liked. We also got huevos con chorizo- wasn't that great, and chicken fajitas (will ask for their review and update).
Beef taco, I thought was going to be like the street asada taco, but was hardshell style, which i love, but not from here. Chicken enchilada and rice wasn't what i expected. Tostada (machaca), was probably the best out of those three, but because i didnt get to eat it until after work, the tostada got soggy- so I only ate machaca with chips. The salsa that came with chips tasted like ketchup with cilantro and onions, smh.

I was with a large group for lunch and they were able to easily accommodate us. They have a nice covered outdoor area as well as a decent bar. Flour tortillas were freshly made. Only wish they offered salsa for some dishes. I got the carnitas and they would have been enhanced with a good green salsa.

I’ve definitely been to better Mexican restaurants than this place. Their food was not it! I ordered a chicken burrito that came with beans & rice. Everything was over salted & did not taste good at all. I even tried a frozen margarita (charge more if you want it on the rocks). It tasted like they just blended ice with margarita mix, no alcohol.🤦🏽‍♀️ I’d rather eat from a taco stand than ever go here again.

The food was terrible. The carne asada had a funny taste, the lettuce was brown, the flour tortillas were hard, the rice was old, and the egg in the chile relleno was hard not fresh. I would not recommend this place to my friends.

As other people have mentioned pricing is a bit deceptive. The fine print at the bottom of the food menu that says *prices are subject to change* they really milk it so prices aren’t always what they seem there. They give you a drink menu that’s labeled happy hour but not everything has happy hour prices, only three drink items qualify for happy hour prices so make sure you ask before you order.Foods okay but not worth the price.

Good food and fun guys serving but we had a group of like 8 women and only the bar was air conditioner. Eating customers were put in a hot room. I felt like a second class citizen. I don't drink and I was roasting it was hot and humid.

One of the classics of old Chatsworth, a family-run Mexican restaurant with excellent carnitas, a cult favorite bean dip and a series of "Bulls" on the menu that you should steer to. haha!

Post-covid, there are really five sections of this restaurant: a very large outdoor, covered patio that includes misters for cooling in the summer, the main indoor area with chairs and tables, a bar with televisions and a couple of outdoor seats, an indoor courtyard that used to be " outside" but now has a cover over it, and the wonderful, kitschy, old school "Old Section" with booths, decorations, hanging off the ceiling, and tables with room for a party.

This is old school, LA Mexican food. Nothing new, or cutting edge, everything as it has been and many would say, should be.

A little upset. I placed an online order. In the notes I requested sour cream, rice, guacamole and extra cheese INSIDE my burrito in the comments and paid extra for this. They also have a section for you to ask for utensils which I did.I got home and found a small bean burrito (I could've gotten at taco bell for cheaper) with nothing else inside! The side portions were tiny. No utensils, no napkins. I'm already home whats the point of calling to complain! They suck at online orders, because i know if i had dinned in the plates are bigger. Never again will I order take out from this place!

Their new menu saying they'll add a 3% surcharge if you don't pay cash is so messed up.
They actually added the fees without even asking if we were paying by cash or credit which is against the law. $17 for a normal sized margaritas is ridiculous.

Sadly I'll never go back due to these shenanigans.

Every time we drive down the 118 going home from a trip we always stop in, A couple of years ago 3 of us stopped in for lunch, I ordered a chili relleno I had to return it because the cheese was not even melted, yes it was a block of cheese. Of course I was asked if I wanted to order something else I declined, this time I was sticker shocked as to how much a small bottle of white Zinfandel wine was, $10 dollars And this was Happy Hour 😖 the bean dip was cold, I had a chicken toco as well not that great. I don’t think we will be stopping by again, we have been going there for years🤷🏼‍♀️

Didn't know this place existed. Very cool stations/areas, almost like a maze, of whichone being a club/bar. Got sat in the "nice" area next to fountain soda machine which was intimately dim, to say the least that needed a flashlight to read. Maybe cuz we were not a Tino or Tina, which happened at the Casa Torres too lol. Will come back again.

It was ok, I would’ve rated wayyy higher but the fact that they wouldn’t let me order a drink from the bar just because I had a table was annoying. I literally wanted a drink for myself away from our big party but I couldn’t order a simple beer because I had a table. By law you can not question why my service dog doesn’t have a vest or even ask me what my medical condition is to have him there , California law permits them anywhere and how dare your manager prevent my 4 month old service dog in training not to drink water on premise it’s wrong and unlawful, onto the food the tacos where so full of fat and hardly no meat lacked flavor and salt the only thing worth going for is the chips and bean dip I will never be back here the way I was discriminated

This place is huge with lots of room for large parties. We were a large group so we did not expect the food to come out quickly, which is fine. The main issue that I had was that our drinks barely had alcohol in them...and the food was ok, but not good enough to come back a third time. Our server was "there" to take the order.

The food was bland lacking flavor. There were four of us, and not one of us liked our meal. The guacamole tasted and looked like it came from a supermarket container. However, the chips and bean dip were tasty. The staff was extremely attentive and nothing but smiles.

Los Toros is a standby for us; love this place -- been going here for DECADES; never disappoints... However our last visit left sometime to be desired... The new patio is nice, but LOUD; even seated inside, it was difficult to carry on a conversation with my party. Our Server was sweet, but distracted, distant, and VERY SLOW. Food, as always, was GOOD; but not up to its usual quality, or quantity.. For example, I ordered the Carne Adobada - the pork steak was both smaller and thinner than it used to be in the past, and the steak was overcooked and dry; this meal is my favorite thing to order - usually it is moist, flavorful, and plentiful!! I was EXTREMELY disappointed. The bull that my husband ordered also skimped on the meat portion... Prices have gone up substantially - that should have helped to keep me at portions closer to what they had been in the past... It isn't right to raise food prices, AND reduce portion sizes.

Was disappointed this trip, but our love for Los Toros will ensure our return. I'm chalking it up to an 'off night for now, but Los Toros -- DO BETTER.

I didnt know that Caesar salad came with iceburg lettuce and carrots. The menu specifies cilantro Caesar with romaine lettuce. I've eaten there 3xs and all 3xs nothing positive to say. This is an embarrassment to authentic Mexican food. Btw my carne asada on my iceburg lettuce Caesar was dry and bland. The enchilada sauce taste like tomato sauce. Have pride in your business and the food you are cooking for paying customers.

The restaurant looked promising, we were seated in less than 5 min. Chips and salsa arrived roughly quickly. However we ordered our drinks and food at the same time. Drinks came. We finished our drinks ordered an other round. Finished our drinks and left. After an hour of waiting for food we decided we were not going to wait anymore. Maybe I'm not used that kind of wait time. But if you have that time try the place.

I personally liked this place and thought the food to be very tasty and good. I only ate there once recently though because I never knew it even existed. My friend also enjoyed it and was pleased as well.
Later on based on my recomendation my Daughter 20 and Niece15 were not so crazy about it. It is more for "ADULTS" than kids. All though with Parents I am sure the kids would have liked it. There is a patio, inside seating, a full bar and warm and friendly servers to assist you. I think I personally would give it a 5 because I would go back again. But because of the kid/ young adult factor I gave it a 4. But honestly, as for 20 & 15 if it isn't F.F. ( fast food)
they don't know it exists! I would and will go back. Most ENCHANTING!

Food is great, environment is great. Portions are good but they overcharged us. All items we got were more expensive than it was on the menu and they charged extra fees for selective items which was not listed on the menu!

I love this place. The tacos are really good. What I love most is that you can buy margaritas to go. I always get Uncle Nic's margarita to take home. A lot of people don't like their running salsa but I do.

Loved it! I was there on December 19, 2023 at 12:30 pm. I forget the young man's name but he was very professional and was always near when needed. I had the chicken taco and enchilada combo plate with beans and rice. It was delicious! My food was so good that I can't remember what my friend had.

I can not believe my eyes. What is going on with this place? We have been going here for over 25 years and it used to be wonderful. Today everything was awful.The looks, the food, the service. It The food took about half an hour to arrive though there were hardly any customers in. It was bad, cooked in the microwave, dried up and greasy. This place used to be packed with people, from opening to closing. There is a " baraque" now built right in front of what used to be a beautiful entrance. Bad taste. Bad everything. What a nightmare! So sad! Is this another Covid victim or bad management?

Not what it used to be! Not sure what happened to this place but it’s not the best as I remember it from 15 years ago. I was there last night for dinner and the food was mid. Not worth the prices. Street tacos would have been way tastier and cheaper! Not worth the money! Find better food I don’t recommend this place at all.

Para un lugar mexicano, está bastante bueno, a mí generalmente no me gusta la comida mexicana por su uso de picante, pero vi que todo lo que se servía aquí es auténtico y eso sí que me gustó. Probé los tamales de pollo que me gustaron de hecho. La horchata me encantó y aunque no tomo alcohol, vi de mi padre que hacen buenos tragos.

We had an absolutely wonderful time celebrating our sons birthday here. The banquet room was colorful and decorated well for the occasion. Staff served us very well and the food was wonderful. We were charged a $200 room fee that we were never told about on the phone. Please verify with staff about this charge. Other than the room fee, we were very happy with our experience.
