Outstanding Panaderia. I know of few better places for Mexican bread. Didn't try a piggy (love those), didn't look great, but imagine they would have been good. Muffins, cakes, conchas, turnovers, and cookies were great. Dropped about $12, could have spent more happily. Have come here many times over the years and this place is fairly consistent in quality. Highly recommend. Staff were fine, though this is the first time I have ever been asked in a concerned tone why I was taking pictures. (Nobody was in the photos as you can tell, but I think this likely never happens here, explained that the photos were for Google Maps, didn't really get why people would want to see a photo of what can be purchased here, hopefully this doesn't indicate issues coming from fairer skinned individuals - had on a mask, don't think I look that white, but who knows)
There are a lot of Panaderias that can be found nearby and not that far off, but I don't know if what you find will be much better than what you find here. Way better overall than ones in OC.

The pan dulce, bread, champurrado, and desserts are top notch. I know it’s a hole in the wall place, but it’s seriously the best kind of desserts! I’ve been going here for years. Even when they were at the old location by Los Portales in chino. I’ve also been to the other location by Los Portales in Montclair. They weren’t very talkative but they are fast. They do always say hi. My favorites are the arroz con leche, champurrado, birote with jalopeno and cream cheese, elotes, etc.
Delicious! Must try.

As far as independent bakery , las Conchas are not the best around , El pan fino is on point , perhaps the best. The bread bread is a little pricey , again compared to other bakeries in a 10 mile radius.

The bread is very good. I recommend the chicken Milanese cakes on Fridays. I would only like the ham cakes to have a little more ham added to them.
