We tried this out because of other reviews on Google. I had the Cannelloni Supremo. Very good flavor in a rich creamy alfredo. The chicken broccoli, spinach filling was delicious. My wife had the sampler plater and with so much food she could not finish either of the 3 flavors. My son had the spaghetti with meatballs and like that a lot. My daughter had the Berry good salad which was big enough she couldn't finish either. The service was amazing and the food came out quick and hot.

Excellent food. Even more excellent service and atmosphere. This family owned Italian restaurant has it all! They are extremely accommodating and kind, ensuring you truly enjoy your experience. Above all, they have some very tasty food! We truly enjoyed our pastas, and especially the bruschetta and mashed potatoes! The serving sizes are large, which will fill you up. Very fair pricing as well! This is our new spot to go for Italian food and 100% recommend it to everyone!

The family and I stumbled upon this restaurant while in the neighborhood. We arrived just before the dinner rush. We were welcomed warmly and seated immediately. I requested a table with chairs, but all were reserved. I told the hostess that we would like to try the booth for comfortability. The hostess was very nice and pointed us to a very comfy booth that would accommodate us just fine. Our server was also very nice and attentive. We started with the Calamari and Bread Knots. My hubby ordered Sampler Platter with Lasagna, Chicken Parmesan, and Fettuccine Alfredo. The kids had Shrimp Alfredo and the kids' spaghetti. I had the Lasagna. All entrees had generous servings. We all had leftovers. Everything was delicious, and everyone was happy and full.

This was my first time eating at Cannataros and had pretty high exceptions because my brother absolutely loves this place. Well, let me tell you that I was not disappointed. The food was great, the service was good and the pricing is very reasonable. My kids enjoyed their food (picky eaters) and that is a huge plus for me. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Absolutely a fantastic place for food and service. Anytime we are in Chino ca, Cannataros Italian restaurant is our go to place. We have driven from Bakersfield to Chino ca for their delicious meals. We made a reservation online, but when we arrived, we we told us that it would be another 25-30 minutes. Where they seated us, the table was so wobbly that wine sloshed out of my wifes glass. The waiter at first offered to find us a more stable table but was told he couldnt move us. While the food was not bad, the stuffed mushrooms were luke warm, the pizza was doughy, and the waiter had to be reminded to bring my salad. Sadly, it was an unexpected disappointment.

Atmosphere..mediocre..our table was loose and wobly. When we asked about another table, we were told, sorry, The service was mediocre. Our server forgot to bring the dinner salad and just dropped off the entree. When we asked about the salad, he replied oh yeah, I just remembered that now... and then brought the salad. The salad dressing was in a plastic cup on the plate. The pizza was okay. The crust was doughy. We wont be back.

Since me and my wife moved to Ontario a year ago we been coming here for dinner. The first time we came was amazing!!! Today was different. The service wasnt good at all. They took almost half hour to bring us our food the waiter only checked on us once the whole time we were there and when I asked the waiter about the perks on joining the Canntaros club he was real short with me and told He had to go. I thought that was really rude on his part and so did my wife. He even took forever to come get my card for the check so I just brought it up to the front myself. We usually walk out happy with the food and service but today the food was good except my calzon was kinda burnt but the service wasnt good at all.

Service was horrible. It took forever to take out order. When we asked for place settings we had to ask 4 different people and it took them more than 15 minutes. The waiter never came back to ask if everything was ok or if we needed anything.

5/5 stars Hidden Gem Alert! I stumbled upon this tucked away Italian restaurant and Im so glad I did! The mother-daughter duo running the show are truly the heart and soul of this place. We were told about them from a couple that were eating next to us in the restaurant. The food? Absolutely divine! Ive had the pleasure of trying several dishes and each one is a masterclass in Italian cuisine. But what really sets this place apart is the warmth and hospitality. Our server, Eli, was phenomenal - attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel like family. And the prices? Unbelievably affordable!And the fact that they allow you to taste the wine before you purchase is phenomenal! I was craving pizza, so my wife and I visited tonight. Alva, our excellent waitress, brought it out and it was very good. In the middle of enjoying it, Alva came back out and told us that the cook wasn t 100% satisfied with the last pizza, so he made us another one for free, even though we thought the first one was great. The service and food at this place is exceptional. We will be back here many many more times.

My parents took me out to Cannataros for my birthday dinner although my actual birthday was a couple days ago. I really like Italian food & I had never been to this place before so we went. When we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by a friendly hostess. It took a couple of minutes to be seated because they had to check what table was available. Our server arrived quickly & introduced himself. He asked if we wanted any drinks while we were deciding on what to order. We started off w/glasses of iced water w/a lemon wedge. Our server went to get the waters returning w/them & a basket of garlic bread. The garlic bread was alright, a bit dry. My father & I perused the food menu as well as the wine & drink menu. My mother doesnt really drink so she continued looking over the food menu. The menu itself is just a single laminated sheet w/items listed on the front & back. I thought it was a good amount of choices. When our server returned to take our order, I ordered 1st. Im letting u guys know right now that I forgot to take pics, so sorry. Anyway, our server started w/me. I was in the mood for seafood so I ordered the Linguini Pescatore w/a soup/salad-$23.99. The entree consists of clams, mussels, shrimp, calamari & chunks of salmon in a light marinara wine sauce. I chose the soup-Minestrone. I also ordered a glass of wine. I wanted the Flor da Moscato, but the server came back to tell me that they were out of that particular Moscato. He gave me 2 other options, one of which I hadnt seen in the wine list. The other Moscato was called Cupcake Moscato. I figured, if it has the words cupcake in front of it, then its probably going to be sickly sweet. I ended up changing my mind & going w/Sangria. Next was my father, who ordered the Cannataros Special Pizza-Sm 10 for $17.99. It has pepperoni, sausage, meatballs, fresh mushrooms, onions, bell pepper, olives & garlic. My dad also ordered a glass of wine, a Chianti. But, when the server returned to tell me they were out of the wine I wanted, he informed my father that they were completely out of Chianti & apologized for the inconvenience. My dad settled on a glass of Merlot. Finally, my mom ordered the Sampler Platter w/soup/salad-$20.99. Her entree was portions of Lasagna, Fettuccine Alfredo & Chicken Parmesan. She chose a salad for her side. A short while later, our server returned w/my moms salad & my cup of soup, plus mine & my dads wine. For a side the salad was a good size. My mom split it w/my dad. U know, even though my soup was only a cup, it was rich, hearty & full of flavor. I think its the best Minestrone I have ever had. At 1st sip, I was a little disappointed w/the Sangria. I was expecting that fruity flavor right off the bat, but it just tasted like regular wine to me w/ strawberries, blackberries & blueberries in it. It wasnt until I let it sit for a while that I got the fruity flavors coming thru. Our server asked if we were ready for the entrees. We said Yes. He quickly returned w/our food. My plate was more like a large shallow bowl. As far as the shellfish in the dish, there were 2 shrimp, 2 mussels & 2 clams. There were plenty of calamari rings which were tender. There seemed to be a filet of salmon that had been cubed into bite size pieces. One thing I wasnt expecting, but had no problem eating were the little squid tentacles. My mom saw a little cluster of tentacles, & was like What is that?! I replied. What? Whats on your fork? I looked at my mom, then answered. Its the squid tentacles. I shoved it into my mouth. She looked at me w/disgust. I just smirked & continued eating. I really enjoyed my food. The only thing about the tentacles is unlike the calamari rings, they were a bit chewy. For those of u that have a problem w/eating anything spider like, the tentacles are in large enough pieces that u could set them aside. My dad enjoyed his pizza although he disliked the sogginess of the inner crust. He wished the crust was crispier. Wheelchair accessibility: All I have to say about this, is there was a young woman w/a wheelchair seated @ a table w/her family.

About two years ago, my brother and I had been searching for a place that served decent Italian food in the Chino area. Then one day we stumbled upon Cannataros, nestled in the back of a strip mall on Mountain Ave. Since then, we have never looked elsewhere for Italian dining on our nights out. First of all, Cannataros has a cozy atmosphere that reminds you that it is a family-run establishment. The service is stellar and the staff remembers us every time we come in and greets us with kind smiles. The food is very reasonably priced and good quality. I like to get the chicken dishes and most come with pasta and a small salad as well as a plentiful basket of garlic bread. The servers are attentive and will refill your drinks multiple times. Finally, you can always expect to leave the restaurant with a full stomach, and having spent under $30-35. Cannataros is a place I have recommended to both my parents and my friends. Everyone I have brought there has been impressed by it. I am glad that establishments like this exist that value their customers and serve meals that are of high quality and dont cost an arm and a leg. Im looking forward to my next visit!

Ive been going to this place for like 30 years and progressively their prices for services like delivery have gotten out of hand. I predict they will go out of business for shaking people down in the next 5 years. I get the cost of everything has gone up but for delivery it was going to cost an extra $20. Come on guys get with the times without ripping people off. I like the family and the food is decent, but you guy charge crazy prices for any thing that is not convenient for you. Havent you ever heard of, the customer is always right. This is the last time I will attempt to go to cannataros because Ive left or received delivery for the last time feeling like Ive been working for who Im paying for service and food. Its a amenity to order food or dine in, not a necessity. You should start working for the customers not for your self gratification or greed.

I m getting tired of getting short change on my online food orders. Either they forget chicken or meat proteins. One entree i order was chicken alfredo when i got home and open it there was no chicken and barely any pasta and the sauce was watery.the other order there was no meatballs!!! It seems like i got someone else left overs togo box. This has been happen more and more frequently. I use to trust this place and i support local business but it seems they are paying less attention to the online food orders . I ve even support them through covid. Please review the other customers portion sizes complaints.

I was very disappointed with the sandwich I ordered. I had a pastrami sandwich and fries. Both were over cooked my sandwich was burnt and fries were well done and dried out. Ive been to this restaurant several times this is the worst Ive ever had. If I lived closer I would have taken the food back. Who ever cooked this obviously did care what they were giving to the customer. Its unfortunate when you pay for something that you cant enjoy very disappointing

FOOD: is good, always tasty, and has good flavor. we love coming here. TO THE MANAGER: About the calamari: The calamari is cooked so big and not cut into small pieces is like you can see the entire Octopus on your table. does not even look like an appetizer it was hard to look at it, please please, if you can ask your chef to make it in smaller appetizer size pieces that will be better. The last 2 times we were there it was bad we didnt even eat it. The ENTIRE PRESENTATION OF THIS APPETIZER IS SO BAD. you cant get your fork and share this because is TWO HUGE PICES AND MAKE A FEW RINGS. how is this call an appetizer TO GO ORDERS !!! TO GO BOXES : Most dishes like Alfredo and anything is cooked with Oil, and when you take it to go, not sure if you are using Sugarcane Take-Out Containers but, by the time I get home to OPEN, MY MEAL IS ALL DRY AND NOT JUICE ALL THE JUICES ARE GONE. maybe consider putting foil paper underneath to help, is so dry that the taste is gone. Please if you can invest on better plastic containers the food WILL TASTE FRESH AND CUSTOMERS WILL ENJOY THE JUICES OF THE FOOD. I order a lot from your store Take out and the food when it gets home to my table is dry and due to the Container that sucks up all the flavor . *** I have attached some samples of TO GO CONTAINERS that will help keep the food fresh for customers******* Parking: Parking is inside a shopping center , you will always find parking.

Went on a Thursday night and waited over 20 minutes for a waiter to take drink orders. Food came out over an hour after we were seated. Very slow service and the waitstaff wasnt very polite. Probably wont go back.

I had catering for pick up the food was delicious as always but I had to wait almost 1 hr for it I had a pick up time and ordered it a week in advance. The service was terrible no one seemed in a rush to help me after asking several times. I dont think it was even cooked when I got there. This order was for a party and all my guest had arrived and I wasnt home. I will not be ordering catering again. Which is a bummer because this is my 3rd time Ive ordered catering from them. Too much of a hassle

Order was supposed to be ready at 3:09 pm. At this time, the calzone was not ready but the garlic knots and artichoke dip were. I was told it would be another 5 or so minutes. I waited...and waited. at 3:20 I am then told it would unfortunately be another 10 minutes (maybe the microwave I was watching them cook with was on the fritz?). Luckily, while I sat and waited (as did the knots and dip which were cooling to an appetizing room temperature) I was kept entertained by the two hostesses (one in a nicer sweater) who were talking about family drama, business drama, etc. It sounded like one of them was part of the family that owns the business? Their total lack of self awareness about standing around rambling about nonsense two feet from a visibly annoyed customer who you already knew was waiting far too long for something as simple as a calzone while not even thinking to check on that customer is an example of why Im waiting in the first place. Terrible management, terrible customer service, and exactly why I will never return.

The foodnis ok, but I think the noodles were under cooked. The service is bad. They took our name down and then others came in after us and were seated before us. When asked they somehow skipped our name! Very noisy place.

I was in town and a friend referred me to Cannataros. I wasnt sure what to expect. The restaurant is small and in a crowded compex. However, the food was amazing (I ordered the Chicken parm) and even better my waitress (Carrie) spent time with us and made us feel like family. Even though it was busy, we never felt rushed and were brought everything for our meal timely and with a smile. A hidden gem.

I took my sister in law for her birthday for the first time. Our server was Vanessa. She wasnt friendly or nice. Didnt smile. She didnt come by to ask if we need anything else. I had to ask this beautiful young lady name Alexis for ranch, napkins, box to go and bags. They ran out of bud light beer and lemonade. My son ordered pizza and he got it very late. Vanessa did say she was sorry it was taking long and wasnt going to charge for pizza. Food was amazing. So fresh and delicious. We ordered the sampler of calamari, fried zucchini and mozzarella sticks and stuff mushrooms. It was very good. Restaurant was very busy on Saturday. The staff looked very tried and overwhelmed and it was only 5pm when I arrived.

Great food on a busy night. 1 hour wait + 45 minutes for food. Although they did get my daughters pizza wrong, its not a deal breaker/ bad review worthy experience. Food is always good here. The Italian sodas are just great tasting. Garlic Knots Spaghetti with sausage Fantastic Meat Calzone Lasagna Cheese Ravioli All the above were great, tasted amazing. Pepperoni Pizza (no Pepperoni) tossed Pepperoni over a cheese after the fact. Was a little meh. But it was busy so we got it. They were apologetic, and we moved on.

This was mine and my wifes second time. To this restaurant everything we have had has been very delicious. Definitely try the spicy. Artichoke, jalapeno, appetizer, its delicious.

Got food poisoning here once. Me and two other family members. I enjoyed coming here until that day. Stay away from the mushrooms. We called to inform the restaurant about what we ate, and how we got food poisoning here. Staff who answered didnt seem to care and gave a response similar to what do you want me to do about it? Sadly I wont be coming anymore.

The review is for food only as we had it To-Go. We ordered spaghetti with meat ball, lasagna, seafood food pasta clams, basil pomodoro, and a medium Hawaiian pizza with Tiramisu as dessert. Based on its price, I would expect a much better or more authentic Italian food experience but I would say it is okay

The ownership replied so Im editing my review here. This was my 5th visit as a local. I really wanted it to be my go to local Italian. Ive dined in and takeout and each time it had been 3 or 2 stars. The final straw was when I got home and all of the scampi sauce leaked out into the bag, me having to stand there waiting for service for at least 5 minutes before even someone recognizing me standing there when I saw only 2 tables being served at 3pm in the afternoon. I really want to come back but Ive also given it 5 tries.

Over the past 4 years, I have been ordering over the phone. There has been an issue with my order every time. If the salad isnt missing, its the bread. When I order wings, they forget the blue cheese. Every order I make over the phone is for a veal parmigian hero or sandwich. The person taking the order cant seem to figure it out, and then I arrive to pick up my food, and its veal and spaghetti. Normal, they figure it out well enough, and I enjoy my meal. The last and final time I called the restaurant about the mix-up and the virtual assistant suggested I call another phone number since it was after hours. It must have been the excuses and rudeness line because the owner was as clueless to customer service and listening to your patrons as her employees are at taking a sandwich order. Never Again! The food is good, but the service and attitude from the owner is of one who cant wait to go out of business.

We are traveling and found this gem. Hospitality was amazing and worked with our abbreviated schedule due to a flight. Food was delicious and generous portions. We enjoyed the lasagna and chicken parmesan. Place was packed. Service was amazing. See you again! Thank you!

Let me tell you about my little secret Italian restaurant. This place always surprises me. I have not had a bad meal here. From the pastas, pizzas, meats, and seafood. The desserts are great as well. Melissa was our server on this occasion and she was very friendly and at your service. Kid-friendliness: They have a kid friendly menu and always are accommodating your request.

Amazing authentic Italian food that beats those famous chain Italian restaurants hand down! Try the stuffed mushrooms, lasagna for sure and house pizza. Disappointed this is second time pizza entree arrives too late after everyone is done eating! We were there 1:30 pm for lunch on Saturday and place not full. Bad timing getting all food out. Uncomfortable for everyone at the table when your sitting with no food and they are eating. First time it happened was with our children on a weeknight. Not good! Need to fix this problem, so I can not give 5 stars!
