Food is so freaking delicious here. The chicken and steak are so juicy. I love that you get a fried jalapeño with your food. My favorite is the 3 meats plate. I can't remember what it's called, but it's worth the price. I've also tried the chicken in like a curry sauce. It's so hearty. I've already gone back 3 times since I tried it, and I strongly recommend that you try this place out. Better than Luna Grill, in my opinion. 🤩😋

What a hidden gem! I've been to at least 4 other Greek restaurants in San Diego and Kabob Shack is now my favorite. You can tell they care about every dish they make and it's a must go. My wife said they have the best falafel she has ever had.

So the first time I came, wowowowow so happy to bite down into my gyro wrap.
Wow, it's sizable, and the sauces are amazing. I got 3 of them for my kids, and hubby enjoyed the traditional gyro with the pita bread.

So... yup. We came back for a second round.

Was really craving steak kabob and they provided. Very fresh and delicious, and prices are very reasonable. Extra pita and hummus were only a couple dollars to add to a plate.

GREAT FAMILY PACK!! 😋 Just enough to satisfy 4 hungry adults. Everything was well seasoned and came with delicious side sauces. The salad was very fresh and came with just the right amount of dressing on the side.
Don't forget to try one of their sweet desserts. The Baklava was really good!! 😉
The staff was friendly and very welcoming. I highly recommend this wonderful addition to the area.

All the common fast food places were too confident of my business. Either they did not have a self-serve soda fountain, they didn't acknowledge my presence, or both.
I noticed this location at the southwest corner of Broadway and E Street. Having never been there, and the presence of a self-serve soda fountain, I decided to give the place a try.
I must say I made a great decision. The man who took my order was pleasant and answered a menu question.
I ordered a gyro on pita, and extra pita, drink, and a 4 oz hummus.
The order arrived quickly. The first thing that struck me was the size of the gyro. It was the largest gyro I have seen. It was well worth the $10. The extra pita was warm and cut into wedges.
The hummus was out of this world.
Over all, the other places' self-assurance cost them some business, and when I am in the area again I know what's for lunch.

We got there near closing time and thankful they still let us order. The food is soo delicious! Got the gyro and rice plate with hummus. The rice was so fluffy and delicious-seriously I thought one of the best I've had. Enjoyed the roasted jalapeno and roma tomato. The pitas were soft and the hummus was soo delicious! I want some more! The 4 sauces they have available are delicious too. We also got the beef kebab with rice and fries. A little skimpy on the beef but was flavorful. We also tried the falafels and that was good too. The fries are soo delicious too! Dipped into their white sauce....sooo good!
We'd eat here often if we were close by. I regret we scarfed it down too fast to take pictures.

One of my favorite places to grab a bite, I come here at least twice a month. I usually get the wraps with the sumac sauce which is delicious but I've also had their rice plates and are just as good

Meh...came in wanting to get a shwarma, but the closest thing they had to offer was a tortilla wrap gyro. The gyro meat was way too salty for my taste to be enjoyable. Also, the "tzatziki" sauce they offer which they refer to as white sauce is pretty aweful...no grated cucumber, not refridgerated and self-served out a pump dispenser (really?).

I was so excited to try something different this really was a super treat! We had the Triple Kabob Kombo with some humus and pita on the side and in my excitement I forgot the photos! This was actually really tasty. Even the salad was well done. My husband loved the rice with the moussa chicken and the steak tikka and the gyro meat. Thank you feed my mi d as well as my belly!

Just had lunch here for the first time and really enjoyed it, I had the koobideh (ground meat marinated with spices and molded into a kebab shape) with yellow rice, hummus and pita, and a grilled tomato and pepper. The food was flavorful and the portion was generous, it could easily be split into 2 meals. The worker that handed me the food told me he had made the koobideh that morning and it was very tasty. The sauces they offer are really good, I especially like the chipotle one.There was a self service kiosk at the front as well as someone that could take the order. Will definitely come back and try their burger!

They forgot to give my doordash driver one of my orders and don't bother to even try and figure out a solution. My food has been sitting there for 45 min and they tell me I can come pick it up if I want , just super rude. The manager Marian has no biz running anything. She acted like it was my fault and didn't care to help me get my food. Worst customer service ever

One of my go to food stops here in Chula Vista. I would grab dinner here after work. You get a lot with an order including Meat, rice, Pita Bread, Grilled Veggies, and a salad all for a great price. I got pretty much exactly was I was looking for when I decided to try this place, and I enjoyed trying a couple of new flavors on the side, particularly the Afghan chutney. This is one of my favorite places to go. Todays take out really got me upset, the amount of food for how much i payed was really disappointing. I'll be generous and give this place 2 stars. They deserve 1 star, but the guy at the counter was nice. Having said that, this place without a doubt, must have bought their ratings. There is NO WAY they have a 4.9/5 rating! It is absolutely one of the worst Mediterranean/Middle Eastern joints around. Most of the food is bland, which is hard to comprehend given the fact this type of cuisine is usually packed with flavor. The chicken they use is probably cooked early in the day and continuously reheated throughout the day. The gyro meat was tough and probably treated in the same manner as the chicken.

Not friendly to older customers. The point of sale system is set up for self-service only. It waited over a minute to tell me there was a problem, and it couldn't process my credit card tap payment. I canceled the order, as this was an option in the system and left. An employee watched without offering to assist. I can live with that, but after eating elsewhere, I saw that their point of sale system is trying to bill me for a meal I didn't receive.

Great kebabs. I got a combo triple with chicken, beef and gyro strips.

Both menu choices were really tasty. They have four house sauces and all were very unique and flavorful.

The beef was very tender (although I wish a bit less cooked), the gyro meat was sliced perfectly, and the chicken was moist and tangy.

However - and I know this is San Diego CA where starting wage is now $20/hr - paying up to $25 a plate (the triple kebab plate IS the highest item on the menu) at a take out/fast food joint kinda hurt.

First time visit. Ordered a falafel wrap. I use this item as a base for comparison. I did like the flavor and texture of the falafels. The condiments are a little bland especially the "special house sauce"🤢. I am in different when a falafel wrap comes in a tortilla. I would have liked to see a lavash bread, hummus or tahini and onions.

While the KEBAB SHOP may have a slightly bigger presence in SD, KABOB SHACK is the place to go. Not only a better selection, but better ingredients. The Koobideh is killer, the wraps are perfect, and I could literally drink the Sumac sauce. Pretty rare to have an Afghan influenced placed here. Especially love that this is right down the street in Chula, instead of North Park or downtown.

I've tasted many Mediterranean food concepts in the recent months and sadly, this one in CV had the lowest score in food quality. Untasty chicken Tikka wrap, soggy (old) baklava, hummus with strong cumin flavor and unimpressive service.
It's a shame that having not a direct competition 10 miles around, this place doesn't take advantage delivering better food quality with tastier recipes.

Worst service ever ordered through DoorDash dasher had to wait there 20 min only to be told that it was a pick up so they wouldn’t complete the order door dash company and I both tried to call them to show proof of delivery confirmation they wouldn’t answer and eventually took their phone off the hook. Door dash was kind enough to take initiative to call me proactively and cancel the order because they couldn’t promise they would be able to fulfill the order. Feel sorry for the owner they have such incompetent lazy workers props to DoorDash and their driver hope my driver will still get their tip for their efforts . With Greek food being a dime a dozen they should provide better customer service than that

I only have gone there once but food was good and I am going to come back there. The cashier told me that I can ask him questions if needed and he was pretty understanding and patient on explaining the menu to me.

They act like they have their own online ordering but finally admitted after we waited 55 minutes for a pick up order that they were running them thru Door dash. No ability to give refund. No sign of order despite we having 2 confirmation emails and we were charged. Save your time and money .

My family and I stopped her on our way down to Mexico. Had a great meal. Food was great, service was great. If I lived in the area I would eat at the Kebob Shack again.

Awesome, authentic middle Eastern cuisine. The chicken tikka wrap was amazing and the house made garlic yogurt sauce was some of the best I've ever had. I'll be going back to try more!
