Laid-back hangout with sidewalk seating featuring a menu of coffee, sandwiches, baked treats & more.
First time walking in here and I had an amazing experience! The lady who was working was so nice and made me feel so welcome in the brief interaction that we had. That experience alone made me want to come back and recommend this place to my friends.
This coffee shop also smells amazing inside! I assume they bake their own bread here because it smelled like fresh bread even outside the entrance. The food I had tasted great. I ordered the California sandwich and a latte, and both definitely exceed my expectations. I will definitely be back to try more of their menu.

The place was great. It's a nice, small, cozy spot with good staff and a good atmosphere.
For drinks, you're looking around $4, and about $7 for their sandwiches. Both were good. The presentation alone had me. The quality of ingredients was pretty good too; my sandwich was full and flavorful.
I would absolutely reccomend going here on a free morning.

The food and staff here is give stars. Its a small cafe with people who truly care about your food and experience with them. During lunch it's really busy but worth it. The portions are nice and the food is fresh. Check in with yelp and get a free mini cookie. The chicken salad sandwich is amazing. The lemonade was delicious. Will be back soon. Only complaint parking was hard to find.

Cute little spot with great service. I've been several times and gotten different things throughout the years. I recently got a turkey sandwich with avocado. I was hoping to get an Italian sub , but the only cheese they have according to staff is provolone ( hate the flavor). The turkey sandwich was good but I don't think the cost was worth just the sandwich. $16 without chips or a drink. Nice place, but for just a sandwich it's pricey.

The coffee was absolutely delicious. I ordered the caramel latte and it wasn’t too sweet nor was it too bitter. The coffee is illy brand. The lady working there was quite short and rude to us. The cafe was cluttered but sold some unique packaged snacks. We got great coffee though and that’s what matters!!

I dont know if this is the owner or the manager, but theis lady was extremely rude to her worker. Made her worker leqve crying and i am sure that she grabbed the girl to prevent her from doing a task. No only that but the coffee is extremely over priced and doesnt even taste that good. I dont like to support small businesses that treat their employees this way!!! Do not come here!!!

Basic ingredients, average sandwiches that are about $3 too expensive, and you're charged extra if you don't use cash. Interior is cramped and divey, but it's more of a takeaway place anyway.

Free wifi, best coffee in CA, organic roasts, wide selection of teas. Did I mention great food, and melts? Yeah this place is a Traction Ave establishment, frequented by all the locals. Check it out...most do.
Published 3 years ago
Be advised: All sandwiches come on sourdough bread unless you specify otherwise and there is a 4% charge for using a credit card. Finally, their online menu is outdated.
I got the turkey on honey wheat sandwich which came with lettuce, tomato, mayo, mustard, cheese, and pickles. I instructed them to have no mustard and pickles on the side, which they did. I thought the sandwich was nice and refreshing and the tables outside were lovely.
I would go here again for a quick lunch on my own or to grab a lunch with one or two friends. Definitely not enough space for a larger group of people during the lunch hour.

They have a great vegan sandwich, the owners are very friendly and service is always quick, even when they’re busy. Ask for your sandwich to be wrapped in paper (instead of put in a container) to cut down on the waste! Plastic lasts forever and has lots of icky chemicals.

I loved walking into this tiny cafe on Thanksgiving day. I was greeted by the owners daughter who is cheerful and very helpful at the register while her parents manned the coffee & sandwich making behind her.
This is a small family owned business that doesn't close down when others have the luxury to do so. They provide quality drinks and bites when others don't. This is the kind of business we need to support. I'll definitely be stopping by again with my kids and my dog the next time I'm in the area.

We ordered a turkey sandwich to share and it was delicious. Plenty for the both of us. We highly recommend this cafe. They are tiny but mighty ! Super good ! Delightful folks who will go out of their way to assist you with your coffee or food needs...and supper fast!

I’ve been going to this Cafe every time I’m in Claremont for probably over 6 years now for their boba and coffee - it’s changed so much but it’s still pretty cozy. You can usually find people sitting outside with their dogs (which is always a plus) and they have a great selection of drinks and sandwiches.

WiFi is A-OK. Food is meh. Service is great, pricing is Claremont, so meh. Hey don't get me wrong, the aesthetic is nice, the little cafe in a little town, great, but there's always room for improvement.
First and foremost, let's talk about the WiFi. I know, I know, what a weird thing to talk about when reviewing a business on Yelp. But we're talking about a cafe, in Claremont which is in LA County. LA, which is supposedly a modern city, yet has cafes like this in year 2018 that are running on subpar internet connections. The last time I ran a speedtest at this cafe, there were no customers inside and I barely got 5 Mbps. You can't work under these conditions if you have to do a large file upload, which applies to students that are doing project workloads or working professionals that need to upload large data sets and they don't want to be working in the office. Seriously, walk three blocks away and you'll have 300 Mbps down and 300 Mbps up at Augie's Coffee House. I mean, you don't have to walk far to have a noticeable difference.
Now with that said, onto the food. The food is okay. It's not amazing, but it's not terrible and the food is moderately fresh. I get sandwiches every now and then. Coffee is meh.
This is Claremont, so it's kind of hard to knock pricing since it's an expensive area to set up shop.
All in all, it's a bit of a mixed bag. The lack of good WiFi is really baffling to me, considering some internet service providers will offer as low as $80 a month for 1000 Mbps, but the business insists on running on some antiquated DSL connection from the early 2000's instead. Why? Everything else is to be expected about a cafe.
With many "little cafe" options around Claremont, I would say this is one you could afford to skip especially if you want to work remote, but hey, it's still a cute little cafe, right?

I used to love this place, but recently, the ownership has changed, and with that, some very unsettling staff changes. My young adult "kids," who regularly go there during their lunch break on Saturday, have decided to boycott Last Drop, along with other local young people due this situation.
A person with a disability is not a "distraction," New Owner. Ableism is ugly. It's as ugly as racism but less talked about. I'm really disappointed in you, Owner. Terribly so.

Hipster coffee. As in, they act elitist, but aren't up to snuff like most. They have a ton of things scribbled on a board, so I knew the blonde girl at the counter wouldn't have the patience for me to read over it. Made the mistake of asking her if they had Ethiopian drip coffee. What a stupid thing to do, apparently... ask people at a place called Last Drop if they have drip coffee. She already gave a dirty look as I came in, and this question greenlit her to help as little as possible. She couldn't even bother to answer, and a tall male who may have some management position without stopping spins the coffee turnstyle around and suggests that one labeled "dark" would suffice. It was generic. Don't even care much about the coffee, really. Just wanted a place to relax, and they ruined it.
Seems like college students who aren't depending on this to pay rent and so don't care what happens.
They Asian guy was the only nice one out of the three.
