This place is so good! Their ice cream flavors are so creamy and made in house. The customer service is superb. They don’t offer samples, but when I expressed interest in one of the flavors, she added a little bit on top of my scoop so I could try it still! She even gave us a tiny bit of the peanut brittle to try since we expressed interest in that as well. The candied apples are SO GOOD. And everything here is so reasonably priced! Especially for what you get. We got a candied apples and 2 cups with double scoops, all for only $23!! Will definitely be coming back!!

A cute little ice cream shop at the Claremont Village! They have lots of creamy, tasty ice cream flavors. The flavors we got were very good! The staff are also very kind. Just beware that they do not have tasting for the flavors. Overall, they have nice ice cream flavors. Give them a shot!

We were craving authentic, gourmet, creamy ice cream, not the typical stuff you find everywhere but more elaborate, rich tasting ice cream and I'm glad we found this place after enjoying a delicious lunch across the street from this place. I had their cappuccino ice cream which is a combination of mocha, coffee and cinnamon... absolute hit for a coffee/cinnamon lover! My son had their blueberry lavender and sweet cream ice cream, delicious! They hit the spot. I didn't take pictures of our ice cream as we were so excited to eat it but definitely good quality ice cream and authentic flavors. When you walk into the parlor, you're greeted by a big variety of candies, chocolates and crafted desserts. I can't wait to go back for some more ice cream and some sweet treats. Definitely not the place to keep track of calories or carbs 😅 but the right place to give yourself some sweet self love.

Yummy...yummy doodles! Everyone once in a while needs to indulge...and when we do it better be worth it. This is! Pretty ladies fill you up on candy and ice cream.
They play "musical flavors" changing 300 different verieties of their rich, creamy delights.
I found Violet candy I haven't seen since Australia. (I bought several to stock up.)
With Valentine's just around the corner...this is a good one to remember. Beautifully presented chocolates...covered strawberries...must see goodies.

Oldtime ice cream parlor style establishment located in the heart of Claremont's Village. Seating is available inside and outside.
The ice cream is excellent!
They also serve coffee and have an assortment of candy apples and chocolates!
Will have to try the coffee next.

I cannot stress my love for this ice cream parlor enough - they have a superb selection, and all their cheesecake-based ice cream is just marvelously scrumptious! Their green tea ice cream wasn't anything to brag about though - I would stick to more traditional flavors with this place. But they know how to do those flavors RIGHT, and that's what matters. Plus the service is wonderful, and the cashiers are very kind. Oh, and their chocolate covered s'mores? AMAZING.

The ice cream flavors here are fairly traditional. The staff is very friendly and patient and I think it’s cool that they have so many traditional American sweets like cookies, brownies and candied apples. I thought the ice cream was good and for a summer time flavor you may want to try the raspberry or the blueberry cheesecake.

My husband and I normally come here for the banana splits. We normally never have a problem, but todays visit was a let down. The girl who made our banana split wasnt wearing gloves and she used her finger to separate the banana from the peel. I was pretty grossed out. Im not a confrontational person, so I kept it to myself. We ended up throwing the banana split away. Please wear gloves next time. Thank you.

Loved this place! It s down the street from where we had dinner and since it was hot as heck it was a good idea to get a sweet treat to cool down. I got the white cherry and white lemon sorbets which were some of the non dairy options available. It tasted like an icee without it being too overpowering or sweet. I really enjoyed. Sadly I did not take a picture but highly recommend their sorbets if you end up in Claremont.

Review #600 is 6 Stars! Everyone, youve got to have a Phils Favorite Milkshake, so good I dream about it! At BERT & ROCKYS they give you a pint (many scoops) of their AMAZING Coffee Ice Cream - hand scooped into an old-time metal milkshake container - then fill it with Root Beer, and blend it like a milkshake! OMG! OMG! OMG! I have one a month just for my health, and am a member of The Milkshake Club to make sure it happens! I KNOW its the reason Im still here! In my book, 1 star ratings are earned and not given. I ve frequented this shop for years and normally the experience is good for me, but over the years I have noticed some employees being rude to customers. Today it finally happened to me when one of the employees behind the counter openly mocked me for complaining that they never have any pre-packed ice cream anymore. If you talk to me with disrespect, then don t expect to have my patronage. Going forward I have to warn others that the employees here are rude. 1 star rating: earned.

First time trying this place out and my experience wasn t all that great ..We ordered a candy apple with chocolate, marshmallows, almonds and the marshmallows were so stale!!!! We told one of the workers our situation and if we can trade it for a plain simple one (which is worth less than what I paid but I didn t mind) and she flat out told my friend No so I went in another time asked a different person if we can trade it and if she wanted she could taste it as well so she can see I wasn t lying, needless to say her manager wasn t available I told her look I just wanted the a plain caramel one she went over cut it up and then tried to charge me for it (even though she had already took mine frm me). I proceeded to tell her no thank you she can keep both of them as it was I already had paid more than what it was worth with the other one at this point she feels bad and ends up swapping me the simple one and well taste wise the caramel wasn t it for me but on the bright side the brownies were pretty tasty.

Wow!!! This was my first time here despite being a local and it was awesome!!! The ice cream was honestly rich and creamy and the best Ive ever had personally. The icing on the cake was the service. My kids and I were treated so well and we just had such a fun experience. The store looked so festive and Christmasy and we also bought amazing candy apples on the way out. This is such a cool shop and my kids want to go back already. I also want to mention this place is reasonably priced...way cheaper and way better than chain stores. :) yum. .we love Bert & Rockys

This is an old town Clermont staple and a must stop by for some of the best ice cream you can get. They have a lot of other items as well and Im sure theyre all fantastic, but really, Its on ice cream you go in for! This is one of our favorite ice cream shop but this time my wife s chocolate peanut butter was not good. We asked for an exchange and invited an employee to try it but she said we have a no replacement policy which I think is just . She offered to sell us another scoop. The best of ice-cream shops can make a mistake. My issue is the absence of humility not taking responsibility for Bert & Rocky s mistake. We threw away the ice-cream. A very disagreeable experience. Not sure we will come back.

This place is the greatest ice cream parlor Ive ever seen in my entire lifetime of visiting ice cream parlors in the region. The service was spectacular, the icecream? Even better. The only thing better than the icecream itself, was the service. One can tell as they enter through the doors, that this is a building filled with gold-souled employees who care deeply about not only icecream, but also the well-being of their customers. I only come to the claremont village for Bert & Rockys, and the Village Grill who represent the best this state has to offer. Thank you for your service.

my husband and I went to dinner and decided to visit today and we were completely ignored so we said ok we will wait until we are greeted and next no problem I guess, however we stood there for 10 minutes and they seemed to only greet people they knew already? We finally purchased two cones the women scooping our ice cream had zero people skills, she was very short and we tried to joke around to make the situation better but she didnt seem like she cared and just felt rushed.... we come from Huntington Beach and we were very upset on our experience here and I am a strong believer in some of the comments about them being racist because it seemed they only helped there kind of people and not latinos/latinas. We ended up finding a cute place up the street called chocolate bash. Please work on respecting everyone not just people of your same color.

I first came here in the 2000s, moved away in 12, and returned to Claremont in 22. Very little has changed - except the prices. Excellent ice cream, a surprising candy selection (Necco wafers, Jelly Bellies like Reagan was still Prez, caramel apples!), and good service. My only knock: no French Vanilla! Sorry, but I cant give 5 stars when my go-to is, well, gone

Bert & Rockys Cream Co is such a delicious place. Everything you have feels like you went to heaven and I cant get enough of it. The caramel apples are exquisite. Also, its such a family friendly spot where wo can take our whole family and the kiddos and sit outside peacefully and relax to enjoy our desserts with our kids and parents. Seriously the best homemade ice cream in the IE!! I would recommend trying their cheesecake ice creams and their famous Debbie s ice cream. Been coming here since I was a kid. Their establishment has stood the test of time. Their ice cream is delicious and you can tell it s homemade never met an unpleasant employee.. we have a larger family and usually take a longer time and I ve never felt rushed. They know my husbands order and start working on it when they see him come through the door. A true hometown ice cream parlor. Not to mention they engage with the community through fundraising opportunities which is pretty cool.

I used to love this place. Then, when I went this week there was a girl with attitude behind the counter. She refused to give us samples and lied to say they don t do that anymore. I had been there a week before and they gave me samples, and my friend went a couple days after I did and got three samples. She was very rude and it appears lied to my face to avoid doing work. I used to love this place but the staff is changing. Customer service has gone way downhill.

Young employees lacking any kind of customer service focus. One bordered on rude when asked if a certain flavor was available. Two employees scooping and a third preoccupied with paperwork while the line of waiting customers grew longer and longer. There are lots of good ice cream options. Walked out without buying anything even though I intended to buy a $6.00 large scoop. Won t be back.

The staff are pretty nice most of the time. Sometimes they ignore you for a min. Im a customer who most likely has questions so I like to be greeted initially so I know their name, or that they at least acknowledge me there. I purchased a caramel apple. I appreciate them cutting it for me but they didnt have any forks. so it was messy. I was walking a dog so decided Id like to finish the apple later and they charged me for a box.

I came here on a Sunday around 4:00pm and the place wasn t super packed. I was able to get a junior scoop with cookies and coffee ice cream and it was delicious. The lady that helped us was super nice and explained how many scoops we got with each size cup. We also got a table outside where we sat and enjoyed our ice cream and people watched. Will definitely be back to try the other flavors! Thank you!

I love a local ice cream shop and this one hits the spot. They had the classic flavors and some unique ones (abba zabba, chocolate banana). Prices are decent but the scoop was a little small (probably to my benefit). They are still not sampling which is a huge bummer.

This place is dangerously AMAZING!!! We love everything here, from the carmel apples to the homemade goodies..& the ice cream! EVERYTHING is heavenly!

Nothing more Claremont village than this place. I ve been going here since I was a kid and they always have the greatest flavors. If you don t like it, you just haven t found your flavor. My absolute favorite is the grasshopper. They re constantly changing their flavors so it may be difficult for you to always get the same one, but that s part of the fun of it I d say.

Cute local spot that sells bake goods and ice cream. Ice cream was average, nothing out of the ordinary. Customer service was good. Don t know if I d come back again.
