When we ordered, the food arrived cold. When sent back, the kitchen simply microwaved the cold dishes. The plates were incredibly hot and the oil had begun to separate from the cream sauces of each pasta dish. Incredibly disappointing when you are being charged nearly 20-30 dollars per dish.

Why do you guys keep giving this place good reviews? They pay for reviews or there is one review that is updated weekly to make this place look active Went here with my guy just ordered a bruschetta and a soda and was charged $35 for an appetizer on the menu. It said it was 7.50 so I m confused. Their menu either changes drastically at the register or the menu you guys posted are old. The bread wasn t even toasted and last time I came here they used mozzarella instead of ricotta on their bread, I remember talking about this bruschetta for days after...so I m definitely confused. I ve now looked through the photos and found 3 different versions of the menu bruschetta at 18,25,26 dollars and as an extra at 7.50. Still confused. The other Italian restaurants in the area are cheaper. So just for myself including the tip is $50. Hello. I mean the place has good lightning. Went here a year ago and I loved it. Toast was toasty. Food was great.

This place was really pretty to dine out in. However we went on a day that was triple digits so that impacted how it felt out in the patio. They had no fans or anything like that to relieve the heat. Food came out fairly quickly although it seems kind of dead when we were there until people started showing up. I got the ragú bolognese and it was average at best. Tasted like something I could make at home which, for the price was way too much. The salad and bread were solid just needed a little bit more salt. Other than that, check it out if you d like but I wouldn t go out of my way to go there again.

I stopped in on a late Tuesday afternoon after an arduous day and wanted to enjoy a specific Italian dish Ive been craving since I came back from an overseas business trip. The restaurant is in a good location if you want to walk around, but it may be a challenge if youre looking for a parking spot, so plan accordingly. I was greeted by a courteous and gracious host, and I was able to choose my seat and sat by the window. There is also a nice secret garden in the back where I will sit next time. The specific dish I was desiring was not available, and I inquired if the kitchen would be able to accommodate. The waiter was knowledgeable, and we discussed some options. He inquired, and we came to a compromise. I ordered an appetizer and a carmel cappuccino. The cappuccino was on the larger size, and it was delicious. They came out after a few minutes with my appetizer, and this dome shaped bread that was simply looked amazing. It couldve easily been a bread bowl and hold a large bowl of soup. It was freshly toasted with a slightly crunchy shell. Once you broke into it, the smell of fresh bread wafted right up into my nostrils and immediately brought me back to memories of my own childhood, and I had to contain myself to stop eating it the whole thing. My main course came out, and it was cooked to the specifications we talked about. Unfortunately, exuberance for the bread, the appetizer, AND the small bowl of salmon bisque (which was an option of the main course) was a little much to leave room for a dessert. I ended up boxing the rest of my food and ordered a dessert anyway (youre going to need to go for a nice stroll afterward). The overall experience was good, I did go on a late Tuesday when there was little business traffic, so seating and parking were no issues, I cant say what it looks like at peak hours. Bring your appetite and your wallet because the food is well worth it.

I absolutely adore Aruffos and find myself drawn to it any day of the week, often without needing to make advanced reservations despite its well-deserved reputation for serving gourmet savory Italian cuisine. One of the highlights of dining at Aruffos is how they elevate birthdays by serving desserts adorned with sparkling birthday candles, making the occasion extra celebratory and memorable for guests. Recently, theyve expanded their offerings with a charming outdoor patio area. Decorated with a cozy fireplace, a tranquil waterfall fixture, and Christmas tree lighting delicately draped across the invisible ceiling, the ambiance is simply enchanting. The addition of tables and seats in this outdoor oasis enhances the overall dining experience, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere that feels both dreamy and magical. To truly appreciate the allure of Aruffos, one must experience it firsthand. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to locals, visitors, and world travelers alike. Whether youre seeking exquisite Italian cuisine, a festive birthday celebration, or simply a magical dining experience, Aruffos delivers on all fronts. Dont miss out on the opportunity to indulge in culinary delights amidst such a captivating setting.

I enjoyed the salad and the food, my husband s lasagna was cold in the center. The seating inside the restaurant is too tight. There was one whole side that was empty and they sat everyone all on one side and the tables are only about 1 foot apart! They give you your moscato in a champagne glass, which only gives you like 2 ounces. I ve been there during the week when they don t sit you so tightly together. There is seating in the back patio, but my daughter got there before us and I didn t want to move her.

Do not waste your money. Very ordinary food for double the cost. I got the seafood pasta (I dont remember the name; the one with all the different kinds of seafood in it in a tomato sauce). If the cost was reasonable for the ordinary tasting food I would have given it maybe 2.5 or 3 stars but the cost does not justify the taste of food. We were looking for fine dining since it was our anniversary dinner so we were willing to spend money, but this was not worth it. Very disappointing seeing that theres much better tasting Italian food for probably half the price nearby. I did bring the pasta home and added some spices though and it turned out delicious And service is good (not exceptional but good).

We were seated very quickly, and waiter ask for drinks and ordered our dinner. House salad, lobster bisque and bread for staters, all very delicious. I was looking forward to dinner. Dinner arrived, Pappardelle Costolette and Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. The Pappardelle Costolette was very salty. I told our server and he gladly ask the kitchen if they could make it with less salt. The kitchen said the sauce is all made at once and they could not make it. The server asked if I would like something else to eat. To play it safe I asked for Pesto penne pasta. I asked my wife how was her Fettuccine Alfredo, she said it didnt have much flavor and that the Fettuccine had lots of cheese at the bottom of the plate. She also said that the Alfredo was very bland and really didnt taste like Alfredo, more like cheese. My Pesto penne arrived, I was looking forward but after just one bite I realized that just like my wifes dish, this too had no flavor, it was watered down, didnt taste like Pesto and funny but it needed salt. Sadly we tried to enjoy this but after only 3 to 4 bite of our dishes we just couldnt. The server asked if we were done with dinner and did we want to go containers, we said no, asked for our check, with tip over $120.00 Sadly, we will not be back.

Wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Aruffos on a busy Friday evening. Despite the crowd, the wait was short. From start to finish, the service was excellent - our server was attentive without being intrusive. The food definitely lived up to expectations. My lasagne al forno was delicious. The flavorful layers of pasta, meat sauce, and gooey cheese were balanced just right. Im putting this a very close second to my homemade lasagna. Cant believe I said that. Wife enjoyed one of the Frutti Di Mare dishes and she gave it two thumbs up. She lived in Sicily for a couple of years so Im guessing it was very good. As we ate, the chatter and warmth surrounding us made me feel transported to a trattoria in Rome or Venice rather than a typical sterile American establishment. Good job. The affogato for dessert was exceptional. Best around. Not many places can make a great affogato, but Aruffos got it right, its great. We also did the Bomboloni. Fresh little donuts, perfectly creamy, and the chocolate sauce. So simple, yet so good. Like little clouds of bliss. I washed it down with a tasty Milano mixed drink that was well made and a nice entry into walking around downtown Claremont. The enjoyable atmosphere and dedication to quality Italian cuisine made Aruffos an ideal spot for our special evening. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty Italian meal.

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. I had been going there for decades. Spent a Valentine s Day there with another couple and it was really good. Really liked what they did with the patio when most restaurants were shut down. Went there with some friends after Village Venture last year and it was such a disappointment. The food wasn t that great this time. My vegan friend had a salad for $25 basically for lettuce. My other friend ordered a couple of mixed drinks for $20 each. On the second one she wasn t even finished and they took it away. My entree was okay. I don t even remember what it was. The cannolis were alright. I wrote an email and a letter to the owners just to let them know and they never responded. I was surprised but I figured I guess they weren t interested in me ever returning again. I m disappointed because I used to really enjoy coming to this restaurant. This year after the Village Venture we went to Tutti Mangia and it was fabulous.

Unusual differences in Italian staples. Bruschetta was pricy but had cheese on it for an amazing mouth feel making it different than what every other restaurant serves. Worth the price!! Excellent wine pairing suggested by the waiter. Ceasar dinner salad barely had any dressing, but based on other tables, it was just us. Butternut squash ravioli was a little too thin in texture. I would have preferred the filling to be more like peanut butter. This barely detracted from the flavor. Wagyu mushroom ravioli was excellent but could have been any beef. Wagyu did not enhance it as the fat flavor was not contained in the ravioli. Fantastic sauce. Pricy. Over $150 for two with 2 glasses of wine. But excellent meal with great service. Dining room was a little loud which at times made conversation difficult. Definitely worth the prices.

FOOD The food was fantastic, from the appetizer meatball and sause, brunette, the chaser dress tasted good but watery, the lemon chicken was fantastic with the veggies, the shrimp scampy was great taste but the only thing with this was had regular Spaghetti noodles which were hard and took away from the flavor. This was what brought it down from 5 stars because other than that, superb! The wait or mention that their online menu has angel hair pasta for the meal and he was not sure why it wasnt updated. SERVICE NOT Good, arrived at 7pm on Monday (MLK), was busy, but tables were opening up as people were leaving, we waited 27 minutes to get water and place our order. Wine glasses were very dirty. ATMOSPHERE VERY nice looking, a bit loud for us, and was very warm. Last visit was not as good...The place is very nice, waiter was on point. Appetizers were great, a bit on the expensive but good. My old timer drink was not an original old timer had more of a maple under tone to it good but not what I wanted ( but drank it). We ordered the ravioli lobster but tasted very fishy.....and we eat fish, shrimp, crab, sushi etc yet the owner and chef stated it didnt taste fishy to them. Take this for what its worth. Chaser salad dressor tasted more like a vinegar dressing than ceaser.. house salad was very good.

Beautiful venue, went again recently for my birthday food is rich and flavorful leaning more toward classic Italian food. The bread is divine we just need more balanced cocktails! Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian and fish/dairy based options Parking: They dont have there own parking and are Im a busy downtown area there is parking nearby but anticipate a 5 -10 minute walk from available parking to the restaurant if the area is busy. Kid-friendliness: Some of the food is rich and not spicy which Ive found the kids in my family love however the restaurant itself is definitely more for a adult date night or business lunch. Wheelchair accessibility: Gorgeous venues and there rear patio/garden is accessible more so than the main dining room gorgeous place but the tables are kind of close and walkways narrow could be difficult for wheelchairs and walkers less so for cane or crutch users.

I recently dined at Aruffos Italian restaurant and wanted to share my experience. Overall, the food at Aruffos was quite tasty, but unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. We started our meal by ordering Toscana Olives as an appetizer, but it never arrived at our table. This was a bit disappointing, as we were looking forward to trying them. The main issue with the service was the rush we felt throughout our meal. Our entrees were served while we were still eating our salads, which felt a bit abrupt and interrupted the flow of the meal. It would have been more enjoyable if there had been a smoother transition between courses. Another aspect that contributed to the rushed atmosphere was the eagerness of the staff to clear our plates. Even before I had finished my entree, they were already trying to take my plate away. It felt a bit intrusive and didnt allow us to fully savor our meal at our own pace. Adding to that, the timing of the dessert trays arrival was also off. It was brought out before our plates were even taken away, which seemed a bit hasty. We would have preferred a more leisurely approach, allowing us to finish our main course and then decide on dessert. What was surprising is that the restaurant was not even full at the time. Despite this, the staff seemed to have a sense of urgency, as if they wanted to rush us out. This created a somewhat uncomfortable dining experience, as we felt a bit pressured to finish quickly. Despite these service issues, I must reiterate that the food itself was delicious. The flavors and quality of the dishes were commendable, and we truly enjoyed the taste of the Italian cuisine offered at Aruffos. In summary, while Aruffos Italian restaurant impressed us with its tasty food, the rushed service detracted from the overall dining experience. The missing appetizer, the untimely serving of entrees, the premature attempt to clear plates, and the hasty dessert tray presentation all contributed to a sense of being hurried, even in a relatively quiet restaurant. It is my hope that Aruffos takes these aspects into consideration and works towards providing a more relaxed and enjoyable dining experience for its customers.

I was here on December 1st, 2022. the service here was absolutely terrible. in the early afternoon the resaraunt was empty but yet my wife and i were sat in the back facing the rear register and hallway to the bathroom and kitchen aka the worst seats in the house. werent even asked if we wanted other seating arrangements. aside from us, they had 1 table of customers which sat 2 businessmen. the rest of the house was empty. the entire time i overheard the 2 young waiters badmouthing my wife and i for no reason. everything you can imagine from dont offer them and entree, they probably cant afford it so we had an entree, main dish, and 2 desserts which i didnt even want nor finish, to now watch them not even tip so when i pulled out my card and $20 cash on a $118 bill. the waiter said is this to put towards your bill? i said no, thats your tip. after paying, my wife and i just left half the dessert there. we just wanted to leave, we felt so insulted. nice place, the food is great, but the 2 skinny male waiters got to go. Parking: must be 18 away from curb. no backing in. tixkets are $50.

I hear the food is pretty good. It would have been nice to try it. Though the restaurant was near empty the staff wouldn t seat us. After 20 minutes of waiting we decided to have our anniversary dinner elsewhere.

Hostess was extremely inexperienced in the art of customer service. He sat me and a friend in a tiny corner behind a couple where movement of our limbs was impossible. Mind you there was plenty of other free tables in their patio area. When we asked him to seat us at another table he became annoyed and sat us inside at the literal entrance of the restaurant. It felt as if he was showing us the exit. When I asked to speak to the manager, the manager listened to our concerns and sat us outside at a bigger table but not before he defended the hostess, he s just doing his job . Very bad experience.

A quaint little restaurant with a secret outdoor patio, in the Claremont Village, provides dining room experience options. The food is fairly priced with the generous portions given. I chose the house salad over the soup to start and had the Parmigiana del Pollo with seasonal vegetables as my entree. The entree was enough for two and was delicious. The desserts were mouthwatering and the portions were just enough not to give you a sugar coma. I sampled the Fettuccine Alfredo offered by one of my companions who brought me there for a birthday celebration. It too was delicious. The staff are genuinely friendly and attentive. I highly recommend it for a dinner date or family dinner event.

Unfortunately we couldnt try the food as after we were seated, no one looked at us for 20 minutes. There was only one large-ish group and another small one besides us, but we were ignored. Not even any waters were offered to us. We left, and on the way out I let the hostess know. We were really let down, especially because of all the nice reviews.

The food is good but for the price it could be better. It is not a secret that the prices are higher than one would expect to pay. One thing is sure, you will always find a seat there. Service is very good. Ambiance is good also.

Horrible service, cold food with no taste. I had such a horrible experience here. Oddly enough me and my friend were the only people of color in the restaurant, we were never offered refills on our drinks or even a glass of water. The server spoke to us about a total of 3 times. He dropped off the check silently and said nothing once we paid, no thank you or come again. Definitely not worth it.

Their garlic bread is incredibly good! The texture is amazing. Crispy on the outside and so soft and fluffy on the inside. Delicious! The wait was about 45 minutes on a Saturday night. FYI, they dont take reservations and you wont be seated until your whole party is there. The wait is definitely worth it. I had the lobster ravioli and they only give you 4 pieces but the sauce is so rich and creamy, it fills you up especially after eating the bread and the soup. 100% recommend this place.

Came here for valentines, when we arrived there was a line to get seated but the wait wasn t too bad. We got seated outside in the front of the restaurant, which I kinda liked. First off our waiter was very helpful and chill. We ordered the Ricotta Bruschetta(18$) for our appetizer, which was delicious. For our entrées we ordered the Wagyu Manzo ravioli (30$)and the gnocchi (25$), the ravioli was a small portion and in general Mid in presentation and flavor, the sauce was good though , I d give it a 6/10. The gnocchi was good, and the sauce was very sweet and yummy, solid 8/10. I could see my self coming back in the future for another occasion.

Food was so delicious! My husband and I ordered waaaayyyy too much food but wanted to try several things. Everything single thing was absolutely delicious. We had the appetizer sampler (it had a fancy name that I cannot remember at the moment), burrata salad, scampi and the pizza with the cooked pancetta. We also had the bread they provide which was so incredible! Every single dish was so good! We will definitely be back!
