Cafe Vida is super reliable. The service is always great. My omelette lacked seasoning but a little hot sauce fixed that. Everyone at our table was happy with their breakfast.

They also sat us before they technically opened, which was above and beyond nice.

From 1st Visit:
Lunch at 1:30P on a Tuesday and we got an outside table right away. Our server was attentive and friendly.

I got the Egg White Veggie Scramble and it was good. Not super flavorful but with some hot sauce, I was happy. The fruit was fresh and the sourdough bread super yummy. I also enjoy led my almond milk latte.

The outdoor space is lovely. Right on Culver Blvd with great people watching.

I absolutely love this place and don't know why it's taken me so long to thank them with a positive review...but better late than never?

When I think of all the plbrunchedhad breakfast and brunch in LA, this one surely ranks among the top. Is it a vibe along the lines of bottomless drinks, 20-somethings taking selfies and a DJ spinning? No. Thank goodness.

But it is a vibe nevertheless: a casual one, lowkey yet still vibrant with excellent outdoor dining. And the service is impeccable. Our server went out of his way, as is always the case here, to make our experience more enjoyable.

The food options allow you to be as healthy as you want to be, and they have a LOT of options. Today, I went with a delicious egg white omelet with tomatillo salsa, guac, veggies and chicken sausage, accompanied by fruit and toast. It was absolutely wonderful, and the portions were huge.

And isn't it nice to know there are still brunch places with this kind of quality food with excellent service...all for a reasonable price. My colleague got the brown rice pancakes and a latte, and the entire meal (inclusive of my omelet, tax and tip) was under $60.

If you're near downtown Culver - and I would argue you should be even if you're not - give this place a try. I've always enjoyed it.

The food is a 10/10!! I’ve ordered a variety of items on their menu and all of them were delicious. The best by far have been the buttermilk pancakes. They so good, I’ve treated my mom to them 2 weekends in a row! And now I’m back with my husband. Something I really appreciate is the attention to detail and flavor in their salsas. They are not spicy but so rich in flavor. The colors are vibrant. Very beautiful plating. And the coffee is very very very nice!! I love me a good cup coffee.

The staff is amazing! Very attentive and friendly. They all seem to communicate and get along extremely well. They seem as if they were friends and not coworkers. Truly love the vibe here.

Gonna keep coming back until I bring all of my friends and family, to share a delicious meal and have a great time!

Amazing breakfast! I had the egg white omelette which is not something that I would normally order, but the picture that someone else posted looked so good. I am glad I did. It was exploding with flavor! The bread, the butter, and the jam were all homemade and some of the best Ive had. I sampled some of my wifes buttermilk pancakes and those were the best pancakes Ive ever had! They were so fluffy and they literally just melt in your mouth. The fresh squeezed orange juice was amazing. And the cappuccino that topped it all off was amazing. The only people not giving this place 5 stars are the ultra snobby ones who feel snubbed when a busy restaurant (for good reason) has a waiter that takes 10 seconds too long to anticipate their every possible need. Im just a foodie who cares about good food and wanted to let you know that this place is well worth your attention!

We had to wait for a table, no reservations. The patio is very nice and the restaurant is very busy. We all really enjoyed our food. The pancakes are very large and delicious. They use very high quality ingredients. My Huevos Rancheros were very tasty.

The host of the place was very racist, she left us waiting for more than an hour and the waiting time was 30 minutes. Another host named Carlos called us to sit at a table when we were on the way , she had the nerve to seat another family that had just arrived at that same table, Carlos argued with her about it and while we were waiting in the middle of the tables, we felt very humiliated. She claimed that we had not told her that we were only 4 people instead of 5 since the 5th person got angry and decided to leave the place. Carlos finally apologized to us and decided to give us another table the place was very tight but he took care of us and she didnt have the courtesy to apologize or anything. I don t know ir If we were wrong or if she was wrong but the thing here was that we were waiting for more than one hour and plus we felt humiliated !

Update: Went back today and got a super dry chicken quesadilla w almost no cheese for $25 incl. tax & tip. At least the servers were nice and attentive this time. The turkey burger was tiny and tasted like meatloaf. The server never came to check on us. Overpriced and wont come back.

Its expensive but so worth it best pancakes ever. Editing my review. I went sunday, and the lady who sat us down was so rude and condescending. She literally tried to sit 3 of us on a 2-person table. Plus, we had a dog. I asked for the available table outside, and she refused because its for 4 people. She put us inside for a space for 4 people. Its the same difference to me. She said we would have to wait if i wanted to sit on the available table outside and was rude and wouldnt say how long. Honestly, this experience ruined this place for me. First of all: The place and the food were nice and tasty, so far great. But after the waiters had asked us several times at intervals of 5 minutes whether we wanted to order something else, but we had said no, a waiter finally came to our table again - this time directly with a card reader - and forced us to pay. Crucial fact: My son hadnt even eaten half of his food yet. We had heard that money is the priority in LA, but I found that just rude.

Ordered a $15 avocado sandwich, that came with both breads burnt and stale. The avocado sandwich had 2 slivers of avocado......also ordered a $20 Mango Salad...but the mango wasnt ripe and the lettuce was as soggy as McDonalds......servers are very nice but $80 for a completely sub par meal is not what I expected....You will be better off going to any business thats right next to them... even 33 taps is better

Visited this location two weeks ago. Food was decent, however I never received the side that was supposed to come with my order. I ordered salmon tacos with sweet potato fries, since the menu said it comes with a choice of side. When the food arrived, my fries were missing. We asked a server who said she ll check on it, and never returned. We then asked another server, who insisted the tacos don t come with a side, even though we told him the menu says there is a side. He didnt even bother to check the menu, just kept insisting there is no side. I m disappointed at the lack of knowledge and poor customer service.

Started off with the red chilaquiles plate, quite delicious and a little on the spicey side the blueberry corncakes was a mouth full of flavor taking me back to my childhood in Washington and Oregon. The fresh taste of the home made blueberry jam and blue berries in the cake along with the corn cakes was an explosion of flavor in my mouth and well worth the buck. Ambience was nice and welcoming. We were first greeted by a young waiter that wasn t as welcoming but David our new server made up for it his welcoming and kind manner of servicing us was very delightful.. David s customer service and the blueberry corn cakes are well worth the 35-45 min drive from the San Fernando Valley. Definitely coming back again.

Love the food, but very disappointed in the service. I literally just waited over 7 minutes (the person answering the phone, answer, please hold without even asking if thats fine - I had one QUICK question. After waiting 7 minutes, I hung up. Customer service is huge for me. Not sure Ill go there again. :( Tried to give it another shot - called to place an order. Currently not taking orders over the phone. I asked since when? Let me start with I ve been here a couple of times, and usually the service is fine. So, today I wanted to surprise my mother with breakfast for Mother s Day, and called to order ahead; during the call the person assisting me was very confused and I kept repeating myself to help her, she repeats the order to me and it was still wrong so I repeated it again, and then she repeated it correctly and told me it would take 30 minutes. I drove up there and they tell me they do not have my order and if I place the order it will now be a 1 hour and 30 minute wait, so I am frustrated that no one at the establishment took accountability that they messed up and just seemed confused and not understanding. Today was a real disappointment and I postponed my breakfast idea, but this was an inconvenience, and was a let down.

Everyone was happy here! Their El Grande Steak Burrito was incredible and perfect if you have a big appetite. I also appreciated their kids menu. The kids pancakes were loved! Kid-friendliness: Kids menu - $12 for pancakes, quesadillas, pasta, burger and chicken tenders. Also came with full size of fries or fruit and milk or juice.

The whole restaurant vibe was amazing. I went on a very crowded Saturday, but still managed to get seated in under 15 minutes. Great service. Great Food. Worst service I ve had as a solo traveler. Took twenty mins+ to get service and had to walk back up to the host stand. Then the server went on break in the middle of my service and no one even told me as I was still waiting for water. The waitress also told me the wrong side but then said that what I received was what she offered. Would not recommend mid-week brunch. The hostess did try to make up for the poor service by the end of it, but honestly was not a great experience. I won t be back or do not recommend. Food was fine.

This is a great breakfast spot in Culver City. We ordered the Chilaquiles Verdes and the Chilaquiles Rojos w/ Steak. The food was so good! The steak was cooked perfectly, and the chilaquiles were delicious. The atmosphere was great, the restaurant was chic and full of life yet clean and accommodating. Our server Nick was attentive and personable! I would definitely recommend this restaurant for brunch, and Id go back again if Im in the area.

A cold day in Cali and the food and company were excellent. Ordered the organic veggie bowl I think? Added black beans and two eggs. The spicy sauce they served was complimentary, not overwhelming. My only reason for a start reduction in service was around drinks, didnt see a stimulant free option for their hot drinks and they never asked if we wanted refills (even on tap water).

Cafe vida offers a spacious seating area both inside and out front. There are several trees to cool the area and offer shade during sunny days. I have visited cafe vida several times now for breakfast, so far the items that are a must are the chilaquiles, pancakes, omelets, and huevos rancheros. The chilaquiles bring out the notes of chile guajillo, not spicy but a pleasant note to the palate, plus it is a good sized portion. The pancakes are a must, not thick but a bit on the thinner side, one of the better pancakes out there due to its taste profile and softness, hints of vanilla complimented with the powder sugar and syrup makes it so savory but not overpowering in sweetness. Recently tried the huevos rancheros, what stood out was the salsa verde, the salsa rojas was a bit bland but the dish was overall tasty. The french toast were okay, good portion but as always their pancakes are a must. The coffee served is not the best it is okay, for this last visit the coffee was a burnt, a high temperature water burning the coffee and thus eliciting a bitter after taste. The staff here are extremely friendly and attentive, give this place a try and come support Cafe vida. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is a local or visiting Culver City. If you like healthy, clean, nutritious food.. and also love Mexican food.. THIS IS THE SPOT. One of my favorite spots in Culver City.. and LA in general Sucker for breakfast / brunch food.. and these guys deliver the best combinations.. for example, you can get two pancakes (healthy, brown rice flour and flax pancakes!) with a turkey scramble! Whaat?! The brekkie plate is also very solid.. basically everything on the menu is FIRE If you re into smoothies, the perfect date smoothie is the business.. DELICIOUS. The breakfast is excellent! Waiting for a table wasnt as bad as I thought, especially on Memorial Day weekend. Our food was served quickly, adding to the positive experience. The waitstaff is friendly, creating a pleasant atmosphere. Overall, its a great spot for a satisfying breakfast with good service.

Visited on Sunday around 12pm. Our wait for 2 was exactly 30 minutes which wasn t terrible for the Sunday lunch rush. Items ordered: Chips and Salsa, Watermelon Lemonade, green juice, veggie egg scramble, balance breakfast bowl, side of potatoes. Pros: - quick service, food came out nice and hot. - everyone was very friendly and helpful -lots of menu options, vegetarian and meat eater friendly -watermelon lemonade was amazing and made in house -potatoes stole the SHOW. I ate them with a side of ranch -large portions - lots of outdoor seating - green juice was very refreshing Cons: Both main entrees needed seasoning I tried to add salt from the table but it needed more. I was a bit disappointed. Other than the flavor issue, I would go back because of the other pros and try something else! Alexandra was out waitress and was very nice and offered a few recommendations! Thank you :)

Wow! Truly surprised by how delicious and fresh everything tasted! I got a lot of food but I didn t feel weighed down after eating EVERYTHING even though I was full! Phenomenal service from my waiter Rory as well! Just a super pleasant experience from start to finish! I WILL be back

Food is great, though service is kinda slow. We had /Turkey burger Scramble-with buttermilk pancakes, //Warm Cafe Salad-with steak, ///Huevos Rancheros. All are fresh and delicious. Really recommend to come again and try different meals.

As a Mexican I appreciate the quality of flavor Customer service super friendly and smile. Everyone there willing to help which makes the waiting for a table that much better. I was impressed by how well they communicate and the manager being very detailed observate. And can I say! OMG on the pancakes to die for .

I was really pleasantly surprised to have gotten seated very quickly on a Saturday morning. Service was friendly and open to our requests for substitutions. The oatmeal was delicious, as well as the green juice. Will absolutely come back!

Food was good wait was way too long over 45 minutes for a lunch table. Was told it wold be 30 minutes so arrived early to wait. Still not enough time so my date had to wait around for a while. After that wait we were sat next to the bathrooms. So not the greatest meal for the money they charged.

I recently celebrated my birthday at Café Vida, and it was an incredible experience! The food was absolutely delicious, and I especially loved the mimosas we had. The staff went above and beyond by offering me a slice of cake with a candle on it for my special day. It was such a sweet gesture, and I felt truly celebrated. A big thank you to my friend Hofit for choosing Café Vida as the venue for my birthday celebration. The overall ambiance of the café was charming, and the service was exceptional. I highly recommend Café Vida for anyone looking for a delightful dining experience and a place to celebrate memorable occasions.

Good food, server was nice but the music inside was too loud for breakfast time. I wanted seats outside as inside at the patio they were blasting songs but the person who gave us the table told me she would decrease the volume but she did not and never looked at us afterwards. The server was nice and she told us she will decrease the volume, and maybe she did but it was probably %10 which didnt make any difference. People want nice peaceful breakfast where they can talk to each other. I love Latin pop music but you guys made me not like it for the first time. Just let people know if you cant decrease the volume so they can wait and get other tables outside, dont lie to them.

Their steak tacos are the best. Well worth the price. Their burger is very good and those sweet potatoes are amazing! Ive been here several times over the years and the food selection is solid.
