If you're looking for 10 + 20 fried chicken sandwich with the perfect crust to Tender meat ratio, this is it. The Burger is massive, and comes with fries and lemonade. The only issue I had was that it was a bit too salty. This is one of the few chicken sandwiches that actually taste and looks like chicken! It took a while to get my sandwich, but I'd like to believe that the staff was putting some extra love and care and preparing my meal!

My favorite fried chicken spot rn. My friend wanted to get wing stop and I was like nahhhh. We went here after my sister showed me and it still is so delicious and hit the spot again. I recommend if you come here don’t get the wings they’re mediocre. The drumstick is where it’s at but also that’s my opinion. If you’re a burrito person honestly one of my favorite things on their menu is their fried chicken burrrito. And for my sweet people you must try the hot cakes sooo yummy. The biscuits are a bit dry in my opinion but hands down my fav fried chicken in la.

I’ve been craving the taste of Honey’s Kettle Fried Chicken for nearly a year after watching a YouTube video on the restaurant and its history with the owner Vincent (shown in the middle) I finally made it to Los Angeles, from New York and had a great chat with Vincent who is always tasting the product to his standards.
The chicken and side were well worth the travels, the service was impeccable as Melody took my order. Would definitely recommend this spot and give it a 100 out of 10, if that’s possible!!

I ordered a 4 piece dinner of thighs - the chicken was incredibly juicy, flavorful, and crispy (the photo doesn’t do it justice), the fries were nicely seasoned, and the pickles balanced out the salt with a little sweetness. They even gave me an extra thigh.
Will be coming back since I live in the area.

I didnt eat in so I cant speak for the service and atmosphere but my friends took out a whole box of fried chicken. Dont know why anyone would ever take out fried chicken cuz the crisp turns soggy. But having said that, the CRUST is DIFFERENT and I DIDNT QUITE LIKE IT. I believe it has corn starch mixed with the flour so its not your standard flour crust like most places, and you might not be used to or like how that affects the crunch and the shattering while you eat it. Just my opinion and wanted to let it be known.

I had a terrible experience at Honey s Kettle. I ordered a meal that ended up costing me over $40, only to be served raw chicken! When I called to let them know about the issue, instead of apologizing or offering to make things right, the staff was rude and dismissive. They had me dig the chicken out of the trash to prove it was undercooked. I ve never experienced customer service so awful! Not only did they not seem to care about my health and safety, but they made me feel like I was the problem. Save yourself the money and the hassle there are far better places to eat!

I order my food at 12:45 pm a hour before I got off work because I work around the corner at the hospital I got to honey kettle bad service as usual and of course my order wasnt ready I ordered the the fish sticks special I got it about 30min later l tried to eat the nasty greasy fish that was nothing but fish batter l regret wasting my money on this place just want a nice meal to have on my long drive home but the biscuits were good but am never going back there again I usually dont get there anyways so I definitely wont miss anything about this place.

Menu as of September 2024 - Expect to pay about $20 per adult (prices have gone up about 20% in the last year imo). Note that you can save money with their Groupon. Generally I have a good experience. I like to get the 6 piece tender meal and have it for dinner and then reheat the leftovers. The fries have good seasoning, the biscuit a good consistency (dont know if its right to say doughy but I like it with honey) and the blueberry shake is tasty. This time I got a side of cornbread and holy cow - it was the worst cornbread Ive ever had. I dont know if an ingredient was forgotten but it was dry, bland and just gross - no sweetness at all.

I really can t share a full experience because my food was delivered therefore it was cold and really not that pleasing. My chicken and blueberry cake was decent. My daughter didn t eat her fish as it was full of grease and she didn t receive her side of coleslaw. The absolute worst customer service. My food was on the counter for 20 minutes before somebody decided to give it to me. Without the drink, so i had to drive back. By the time I could eat the food, it was lukewarm, and the sandwich was soggy. They are inattentive and unbothered. Never again.

I went Sun 9/1. Was very diss appointed! I used to go when it was in Compton years ago went to Culver City. The yams were AWFUL and the red beans and rice had a weird taste. The best thing was the biscuit. Chicken tasted old! Came from Long Beach for that hot mess!

O.M.G!!!! I USE to be a only eating Roscoes chicken and waffles kinda gal. But hold up wait a minute lets put Honey Kettle in the mix!! I happened to be in Culver City for a business appointment, mind you I grew up in this area back in the 80s and 90s , then moved away, Culver was more industrial in this area at the time I used to go to dollar matinee at the old Culver City Theatre. Wow has it changed. Back to Honey Kettle so I am walking around looking for a lunch spot and I see all the fancy spots, not impressed by the decor or high priced menus for something so simple as Pizza and a burger. The I see the clouds open up and the shining light lead me to Honey Kettle. I know a bit dramatic but this is my fantasy commercial bear with me. I try a sample of things on the menu, two piece biscuit and chicken and fish and chips. The server explains to me that many customers love to put the warm honey on their biscuit and chicken. Good to know, best tip ever you dispense this golden warm honey into condiment cups and you receive your order of GOLDEN BROWN Perfection of crunchy, crispeity, juicy, mouth watering chicken. Proceed to drizzle the warm honey and you are in ecstasy. The biscuits were warm fluffy and were too a vessel to be used to enjoy that warm deliciousness called the honey. The fish hard a wonderful crunch and flaky moist meat. I comend the servers the stayed professional, during this lunch time rush, dont be in a hurry and the seating fills up quickly. We shared are table with some patrons to neighborly. Okay back to the food, I also had the lemonade shaker drink and this was delicious, fresh made, not too tart or too sweet. Before I left it ordered a 16 piece chicken family style to go with a dozen biscuits to share with family and friends back in Long Beach. I drive hear once a month just to satisfy my obsession with Honey Kettle, I tell everyone that will listen about this place. I need one in Long Beach, by my house, got a spot picked for the restaurant and everything. Wish I could get me a franchise out here for real.

Frankly, the recipe taste very simular to an old school chicken place called Golden Bird. Of course, I imagine the expense in price must be because of the location. However, the request for tip on the receipt I feel is unnecessary in regards to Togo orders. It makes you almost feel uncomfortably obligated to tip because of worry that something may be done to your meal if you dont. Outside of that, the meal wasnt bad at all...

Discovered this hidden gem a few years ago thanks to Groupon shopping to cut costs on vacation. Its been a must stop on each so cal vacation since. We love picking up a ton of chicken, and eating left overs at the hotel. Service is good, atmosphere is cute and Quant. Food is amazing. Parking: Parking is in a publislc garage behind the resturant. Free for 1 hour, then $1 per 30 minutes. (Summer 2024)

Came here yesterday 7/24/2024 after arriving from San Francisco because my hubby wanted to try it we ordered online pick up, to-go to get back to our hotel. It said our order would be ready at 8:35 PM when we got there at 8:40 our order still was not ready, and wasn t ready till 9 PM and their excuse was being short staff due to being on a time crunch my hubby grab the food on my way back to Calabasas. I checked and saw that food from my order was missing. It was very pricey. I had two orders one with just chicken And a chicken meal combo and sides from that chicken meal combo was missing when I called to inform the restaurant the girl who worked said that the guy forgot to put it in and it was a simple mistake then she instructed me to get a refund online, she told me she didn t know how to get a refund. She told me she would have the manager call me. I waited and no one called me today 7/25/2024 , ridiculous if it was an option, I would file a claim with my bank because no one has time to be paying for food that they did not receive very ridiculous.

Cant miss on the chicken excellent by any standard no matter where youre from. One of the few in California that Ive had that tastes like a bit of home cooking. The food is good, but overpriced. The lemonades are tasty, but not worth the $10 dollars we paid per drink. I went with a friend and when the tip option came up on the register and he didnt tip (we literally walked up to a counter and ordered, then walked back up when the food was ready, to pick up our own food), the cashier turned around to the staff and the back and said he didnt tip. Not sure what that meant, if that was a secret code for something , but either way, it was kind of uncomfortable, as we didnt know if our food was going to be different because there was no tip provided for a transaction where no service was provided. Either way, the table was dirty as well as the restrooms. We arent from the area, so we went for the experience, which proved to be mediocre. We arent planning on returning.

First time going. Both orders were incorrect, the table where we sat was dirty and I had to keep checking to see if my order was ready. The chicken was good, almost like Golden Bird Chicken. I got chicken and Cole slaw. Both were good. But that doesn t make up for the poor service. I took someone there for their birthday and it was very pricy to not get great service. Not again.

This is so Disheartening. I have not ate food from Honey Kettle in quite some time. When I thought about fried chicken I thought about them and looked for them on Uber eats currently. I m not sure who is at fault Uber Eats or Honey Kettle for not showcasing their hotcakes only their cornbread on the I we Eats App. The cornbread is 5$. The hot cake is 6$. I called into the company to ask them if they would switch out the cornbread for a hot cake. if I added it to my order since I could not select a hot cake on the Uber Eats App, my order already with taxes was about $90. It was so wild to me that they would not swap out a cornbread which cost $5 and give me a hot cake that was actually 6$. The manager tonight would not accommodate a dollar for over a $90 order. This s Amazing just Wow! You lose $90 over a 1$ accommodation. Smh Great Business ..

Drove from Altadena to Culver City for this chicken I order 2 - 8pc a lemonade & 2 lg pickles went home and only had 10 pieces of chicken. I called them and they told me whenever I came back I could get my order over again. So I go back a week later and they only replaced my chicken I had to buy pickles again. Food was terrible. My husband spent $37.00 for a 4 piece meal with a large drink. I spent $28.00 for a 3 piece meal and a slice of blackberry pie. I ate 2 pieces with fries and threw the rest away including the pie. This was not good at all.

My husband and I drive from Compton occasionally to get our Honey Kettle Fried Chicken fix, however on 5/25/24 around 9:40p.m may have just disappointed us all the way around from the service to the cleanliness of the lobby to the quality of our food. First I believe customer service is everything and when you have people in your establishment that just does not have not only good customer service but no people skills at all that s a complete disaster waiting to happen. My experience started with calling in our order and the young lady that answered the phone was very rude I asked was there a bundle deal with the biscuits so that I wouldn t have to purchase the biscuits individually her response was you can get however many biscuits you want and I ignored it and proceeded to complete our order. At 9:09 p.m. I told it would be about 15 minutes so we gave some extra time and came into the restaurant at 9:40p.m. and first point of contact was the young lady who answered the phone and her attitude was worst in person. I approached the counter to let her know we were picking up a phone order, she then says dine in or out but because of her strong accent I didn t understand her at first so I asked again about our phone order and she says it again dine in or out now by this time I m so confused because why would I place a phone order to dine in so I let my husband continue to deal with the young lady. She then takes the payment from my husband gives him the receipt and we take a seat in the lobby area where trash was all over the floor I have never seen the restaurant like this before even on a busy day or night or close to closing so I was super skeptical to even eat from here at this point , but it didn t stop there because now we were waiting another 10 to 15 minutes for our food that was ordered over the phone, so I asked the other young lady that was expediting the orders what was the policy as far as phone orders because we had been waiting for a phone order that should have already been ready that was the sole purpose of us calling it in, the young lady asks to see our receipt and the cashier (Melody) butts in and yells to the expediter it s coming out and we waited another 5 to 7 minutes and was given our food , however at the time I didn t check the freshness of the fries until we got in our vehicle and to my surprise after all that waiting we ended up with cold fries to the point where I was done for the night with this overall experience we were having at one of our favorite places to eat. Also when I asked about speaking to a manager I was told there wasn t a manager available and I know that there was a PIC on site because who was going to close the store up. After this experience I think I m good on patronizing your establishment for a while it was great while it lasted. Started patronizing the Compton location and when you guys moved to Culver City have patronized even more, but I m good now. Further reference Melody needs to be trained further. We spent $110 and received horrible service and cold fries make it make sense .

Holy moly! I had the American supper which was like thanksgiving dinner with fried chicken and honey. So dank. And the service was excellent. Will be back for the same thing asap.

My sister introduced this to me - she works down the street at a movie studio. This is the best fried chicken I have ever had. The biscuits are amazing. They have Blueberry Lemonade that is to die for. While giving a 5 star rating for the food, there are some complaints. Not organized well - lines a lot of the times interfering with people sitting down. They move a little slow - but lets face it - Id rather be a little slow and done right than go fast and muck it up. This could easily be expanded to a larger location and rake it in - kind of wish they would. Ive been here a dozen times or so over the past couple of years and never been disappointed. When I go to see my sister, the family always wants me to stop by and bring some back... I usually order some extra but the drive back to Temecula Valley, one gets hungry and eats it all when stuck in traffic on the 91 and 15 freeways. I sure do wish there was one closer to where I live.

I ve been craving the taste of Honey s Kettle Fried Chicken for nearly a year after watching a YouTube video on the restaurant and its history with the owner Vincent (shown in the middle) I finally made it to Los Angeles, from New York and had a great chat with Vincent who is always tasting the product to his standards. The chicken and side were well worth the travels, the service was impeccable as Melody took my order. Would definitely recommend this spot and give it a 100 out of 10, if that s possible!!

Really delicious fried chicken. Perfect skin, delicious meat and overall all the food we ordered were really great. I think its a little pricey for what it is but maybe there is a reason for that. The interior seating can be maximized more for efficiency.

This was some of the best fried chicken Ive had in a really really long time, come to find out its actually the Knotts Berry farm restaurant chicken recipe. No wonder it was so good. Such great memories of this chicken from when I was a kid. I was literally blown away. We bought a Groupon and got a little of everything. We had fried chicken, we also had the American supper, the blueberry and strawberry lemonade, the coleslaw, The mashed potatoes and mushroom gravy, and the biscuits, oh the biscuits, They literally melted in your mouth with a little bit of honey. I cant tell you how delicious everything was. We will definitely be back. It was a really nice surprise and service was great too. It takes a little bit of time, but you have to be patient when it comes to good food. So impressed!

I went here last year to try their fried chicken and only thought it was okay because I took it to go so it lost its freshness. Tried it again and got their chicken tenders which were good. Their batter is so unique. It s crispy and crunchy but yet smooth. The fries were really good too with great seasoning. However the biscuit has got to be one of the best I ve ever had. It s a mix of a dinner roll with a biscuit that creates this soft texture. The blackberry pie was pretty good too with big pieces of blackberry that taste like they were plucked that day.

This place delivered as advertised! Super moist chicken. The atmosphere was ok but lots of dirty tables and when I asked about it the staff member gave me her towels to clean it myself. Overall, it was a manageable experience and this was my second trip the first was fantastic!

Whenever we have people coming from out of state or out of the country, we always bring them here. We like bragging about Honeys Kettle and everyone we bring here likes their food. I personally cannot remember what the chicken tastes like but everyone I know loves it.. and the biscuit and honey, its to die for! I recently tried the spicy catfish sandwich, I was so adamant on trying it since I hate the flavor of the catfish, but I dont mind ordering it again. My nieces are from the Philippines have eaten a good amount of chicken from all the countries they have visited, they said the biscuits are incomparable. The flavor of the chicken is very different from other chicken places they have tried and they loved it!!!

This use to be one of my favorite places when I was a kid. The chicken was always juicy and full of flavor but my past experience my chicken was dry. I will return to the old location that I use to go to before I can say this is not up to my expectations. The seating arrangement reminds me of being at my grandmas house fighting for a descent seat. The biscuits are still fye!

Well, damn!!! This is bomb!!! The breading is everything you want - crunchy, light, salty, and even when fried super crispy it doesn t get overly greasy. The meat was so juicy. I had the 4 piece meal and the french fries were honestly super solid as well. On top of that, the service was friendly and fairly quick. Next time I ll get more pickles

Always on point! There were 5 of us so we got a family pack with and extra side of mashed potatoes and gravy and extra biscuits! We also ordered a whole peach pie to go because it was my birthday! we spent about $110 and it was worth it! Will be back again. Also twice now weve taken the Metro E line to the Culver Blvd stop and walked over there. Its a real cute walk! And once weve taken our food to go and hopped back on the train to the pier and ate it at palisades park

Im writing this review today live as things happen. I drove down from Sacramento and this was the one spot i really wanted to try because of the owners passion that i saw on YouTube. I got to the restaurant at 0932. Staff was not ready at all. Its now 0957 and I dont think our food has even gotten started. Completely unprepared and lacking enthusiasm. The tables were all over the place and there are posters also stacked on tables. Spent $50 on a couple combo meals and didnt get a drink? What? Got food at 1005. Chicken is really good though. The meat is flavored all throughout and its crispy and warm. Biscuit was awesome and flaky. Mashed potatoes were mid. Went back up for a drink. Got a blueberry lemonade. Quite good. Just hate that I had to pay 7 more dollars for it. Overall: Hate this trip started badly but the food was good. Not worth the initial gripes, but good.

Tasty chicken but very small pieces. The drumsticks look like they came off a dwarf chicken. Catfish strips are better in terms of size. Prices are a bit high for what you get but my kids love the chicken here so Im a captive repeat customer. Just remember that good things can take time and they definitely take their time here with your food.
