Excellent food and service! I have eaten at many Indian restaurants as my husband is Indian and I typically do not like goat. We ordered goat curry and I absolutely loved it I kept taking it from my husbands plate. They definitely marinated it well as it was very soft and fell apart easily/ tender and not chewy at all!! We ordered butter chicken as well and it was very delicious! Both dishes bahut accha hai!! Mujhie pasand pai! Drinks were great as well! I ordered the margarita and it was spicy/tangy. Naan was fresh, and fantastic they must have a tandoor here! We will be coming back!

We were pleasantly surprised by this place! We were looking for an Indian restaurant in the area we were in and had heard this place was pretty good. We tried a variety of dishes including appetizers and entrees and we honestly enjoyed everything we got. Everything was quite tasty and we liked that they put a spin on traditional Indian dishes. Note: the food is not spicy but is flavorful, so if you want to add spiciness, you can request it. The ambience at the restaurant and service was also great! They also have a happy hour with 50% off appetizers which would be a great deal. Well definitely be back!

Went around 2pm on a Sunday. It took about 20 mins to get drinks and place a food order. We ordered the masala fries and paneer kathi rolls. Both were an absolute mess of creamy tikka masala style sauce. Avoid!

One of the best Indian restaurants I have been too. Food is amazing and very delicious, staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the ambiance and mood of the restaurant is perfect for any occasion. It s also located in downtown Culver which makes it a great location to walk around before and afterwards. My favorite items was the sexy fries and pav bhaji

Food tasted like proper Indian cuisine for its items, nice fusion too- I m a strict vegetarian so I didn t order an fried items (as there s cross contamination with the oil) but the servers were caring and wonderful. Wanted to give a shoutout to server Emiliano and the team. I hope upper management can acknowledge them in some way! Sweet, kind, caring- it made me want to come back again :) The pay bhaji was tasty, laccha paratha was excellent, garlic raita, veggie biryani, chutney etc were great. Rasmalai (didn t like the mango flavor- tasted like concentrate version) but food I enjoyed and my detox drink. Nice vibe inside too.

We split the Sexier Curry Fries, Tandoori Achari Chaap, Vegan Butter Chicken, Saffron Rice and Sholay Naan. Everything was tasty, but the standouts were the Tandoori Achari Chaap and the Sholay Naan. The chaap was smoky from the Tandoori and so good with the raw red onion and side chutney. The naan was loaded with minced garlic and serranos.

This is my favorite go to place. There is a good amount of options for both vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. Food portions are enough to fill two people. Try Mango Lassi with whipped cream and chicken tikka kebab. Vegetarians can enjoy Paneer Shashlik. Parking: There are two paid parking structures closer to the hotel.

Wow what an amazing experience...we visited this place to celebrate my husbands birthday and its probably one of the best Indian food I have had in Los Angeles. The cocktails were top notch and all the items were extremely delicious and flavorful. Special mention to the pistachio lamb chop, amritari fish tikka and the goat curry. Service was amazing and our hostess was very friendly and hospitable. Would definitely recommend and a must visit.

I usually forget that this place is here. Even if walking by, it doesn t really draw my attention. They were part of the Downtown Business Summertime crawl and I promised myself that I would remember to go in. I finally had a chance, and I am excited to say that this is my new fav Indian place in the area. And it s walking distance from my office. The food didn t have too huge of a heat/spice, but just enough for a Mango Lassi to cool. I loved the chicken bites. The butter chicken/tikka sauce was a bit more tomato based than I m used too, but the flavors were intense. The tikka tacos were kind of insanely good. The garlic naan is perfect, and I could definitely eat more than what came with the lunch special. The paneer chili appetizer was unique. I think I would try it with the chicken next time. Overall, I ll definitely be back!

Nice eatery in downtown Culver City with a casual ambiance, and interesting Indian food. The menu is mostly North Indian influenced with typical meat, fish, lentil, and vegetable options. We had the crispy cauliflower and avocado bhel, which were plenty to share between seven people. We also shared the chana masala, apricot kofta, the tandoori salmon, baingan bharta, rice and naan. The food was tasty, well spiced (not hot) and adequate. With just that much food, we struggled to clean our plates! Next time we will definitely plan to come with a bigger appetite. Kid-friendliness: Casual atmosphere fit for kids

I have been to Arth many times over the last couple of years, and it remains my go-to for Indian food in the LA area! From brunch to a heated patio to private events, this location offers so much in the heart of walkable downtown Culver City. Their menu expertly combines traditional Indian cuisine with modern fusion dishes. Their butter chicken, spinach and paneer kofta, dal makhmali, and burnt raita are particularly exquisite and taste just like home while being innovative and delicious. I also particularly appreciate their vegan butter chicken and other vegetarian options for my family and friends with dietary restrictions. The servers are always kind and attentive, and the bar is fully stocked with plenty of Desi-inspired cocktails that are as tasty as the food. There is also a nearby public parking structure on Watseka that makes it easy to get to the restaurant. I highly recommend Arth for your next outing!

Arth Bar & Kitchen in Culver City is our go-to spot for authentic Indian cuisine. We recently went for brunch and enjoyed the Bombay Pav Bhaji, Hakka Noodles in Chili Garlic Sauce, and Masala Omelet. The Bombay Pav Bhaji was perfectly spiced, with soft, toasted pav buns. I especially ove the taste of Khada Masala used in the bhaji! The Hakka Noodles had a great balance of heat and garlic, making it a standout dish. The Masala Omelet was fluffy and well-seasoned, paired nicely with a fresh salad. It made us remember maa ke haath ka khana The ambiance is warm and inviting, and the staff is friendly and attentive. I love that they have a huge patio section so one can enjoy their meals comfortably with their dog :)) For anyone craving genuine Indian flavors, Arth Bar & Kitchen is a must-visit. Well definitely be back!

1. Food was okay. Nothing out of the ordinary. 2. The service was slow. We werent offered water until after 15 minutes of being seated. A different server took over, and things were okay after that. 3. We were put off by the names of the cocktails. One such cocktail uses the name of an Indian woman saint (highly revered). Another one used the Indian word for salvation. Culturally insensitive at the very least. The owner of the restaurant is an Indian Gujarati, who claims to value the immigrant values and beliefs, so he should have done much better. So between the service and the cocktail naming stunts, the experience left much to be desired. We wont visit again.

Trendy Indian spot in Culver. Came here with a friend for her birthday and we went to town on ordering different bites. Indoor and heated outdoor seating available. We ordered the samosas (2 very large ones come in an order), lamb truffle seekh kebab, butter chicken, saffron rice (rice isn t included in the dishes), garlic naan, and eggplant masala. We had leftovers for the following day which kept well. The lamb truffle had an interesting flavor but was a bit dry. The garlic naan comes in 2 pieces cut in half, and went well with the butter chicken. I liked the green sauce that came on the side of the samosas a lot. The eggplant masala had some surprising heat that crept up on us and is a good vegetarian option. This place is pricier than your typical mom and pop Indian spot but has a cooler vibe. Overall, a solid choice if you re craving Indian food but want a hipper ambiance.

Last evening, I recommended to order a few dishes from your kitchen. We ordered, Amritsari Fish Fry, Paneer Shashlik, and Sholay Nan. I must say that the Amritsari Fish and the Sholay Nan were seriously bad. Please pay serious attention to your fish recipe because there was no flavor in the fish and it was packed with your fries like sardines were packed. Also, please use better quality flour for your Nan. I hope you will consider my suggestions. Best wishes! With Regards and Smiles, Jassi, HAPPINESS! Food was good. But, we were treated differently compared to white customers. We are Indians and we clearly noticed that the server didn t light the candle on the table for us but when a white couple arrived, he took extra care he lit the candle for them. Drink that we ordered was ready and sitting on the bar counter for 10 mins before the server brought it to us and he simple handed a straw. The same server for white customers tore half cover of the straw and handed the drink to them as soon as the drink was ready. Indians being treated differently in an Indian restaurant? We are pretty upset about this. Posting this to give management an opportunity to look into it. Hope this gets fixed !

I ordered food via phone, a guy named Trent took my order who was full of lies. I got incomplete order firstly, then when I called back and told Trent I was missing a roti, he said we cant do anything about it because you left the restaurant without checking your food. Then I tried to talk to the owner of the restaurant, Trent says we are packed busy, packed busy at 2:30 pm during a middle of a week. The food was full of oil floating on the top of the food.

I recently dined at this Indian restaurant and have some mixed feelings about the experience. On one hand, the service left much to be desired. The lady serving our table was rude to us while seemingly favoring other white customers at the neighboring table, which was quite disappointing. On the other hand, as an Indian myself, I must admit that the food tasted good, but it did feel a bit on the expensive side. However, I appreciated the modern ambiance and restaurant setup, which was a pleasant departure from the traditional Indian restaurant decor. Its nice to see some innovation in this regard. Overall, while the service left a sour taste, the food and modern ambiance were redeeming factors, but the pricing could be more reasonable.

Absolutely poor service. We were a group of 3 and all we ordered were an appetizer, naan and two curries. They took 20 minutes to bring appetizers and then almost 45 minutes to bring the mains. Meanwhile everyone around us who arrived either at the same time or after us were getting their food served. The total amount of time that we wouldve eaten wouldve been 30 minutes. But we were stuck waiting for them to give us the bill for another 15 minutes and then another 20 minutes for them to collect the check. Its like they forgot about us and only when we had to call in another tables waiter were we able to get out with our bill paid. The food was definitely not worth the 2 hours that we spent in the restaurant. First and last time Im ever stepping here.

Our favourite Indian Restaurant in LA, we had Nutty Eggplant, Veggie Biryani, Butter Paneer Masala and Garlic Naan. We loved everything we ordered but their Butter Paneer Masala sauce was to die for, it s rich tomato sauce was top notch. I would say the Nutty Eggplant was a little salty for my liking but the sauce was tasty. My 6 year old loved the paneer masala and the naan bread the most. Update on 8/23/23 They took the Nutty Eggplant and Butter Paneer Tikka Masala out of the menu. They added Paneer Tikka and Eggplant Masala instead.

Didn t like the way dishes are offered in the menu. We took the eggplant masala, it is a spice eggplant that is 100% supposed to be consumed with smth:rice, bread etc. but you need to add it seperately and think of it before you order. Same thing with every dish: Lamb chops are coming with zero greens, rice or smth like that. It all looked like incomplete dishes Was disappointed. Will not return .

Great food, but terrible service, I went for dinner on a Saturday night. The waitress was disinterested in giving any service to us, had to ask for everything right from lighting up our table candle, to get a bowl, to-go bag, menu card, pretty much everything. When asked for desserts she said sorry the kitchen is closed and right after that a few locals at the table next to us were asked by the other waiter what would you like for desserts, we have x,y, and z?. I called the waitress again and told her the table next to us was offered desserts and we were denied when we asked for it ourselves, then she went in and came back and said yes we can do desserts. No apologies or anything but just a simple yes we can do desserts. Overall either they were being biased against us or simply that waitress was terrible, I wish this place had a better service I would have loved to visit again because the food was great.

this was my second time enjoying arth bar. its hard to say. try it... like... out loud. i feel like a dog when i try. anyway, arth offers slightly fusion-y indian fare. if youre looking for traditional curries and such, youll likely be disappointed, but the concoctions they have are really quite tasty. on this outing my friend and i split the samosas with a side of burnt garlic raita. quite tasty and decently sized. the burnt garlic raita was good but perhaps not as exciting as it sounds. for the mains, my friend got a chicken tikka starter, not being particularly hungry, but it was a sizeable portion and really tasty, had a great tandoor flavour. i opted for the lamb kosha, and i have to say it was one of the most well-balanced, delicious indian entrees ive had in a while. really just delicious. there seem to be quite a few vegetarian options, with jackfruit taking the place of more traditional proteins, and things of that nature. some tasty beers and cocktails as well. a uniquely ethnic experience in an otherwise rather nondescript-california-fusion-laden culver city downtown!

We really enjoyed the kebabs, lamb biryani, garlic naan, and daal makhani. I highly recommend this spot if you re looking for authentic Indian food. Easily the best Indian food I ve had in LA!

We dined here at Arth Bar for lunch, and both the drinks and food were great! To start, I had the lychee martini, and some tandoori chicken and avocado bhel. The tandoori chicken was some of the best Ive had, and was super flavorful and juicy! For our mains, we got the saag paneer and chicken korma with garlic and sholay naan. Both the paneer and chicken korma were so flavorful and creamy, perfect with the naan! Would highly recommend.

I had a pleasure to visit the restaurant yesterday and I am really flattered with everything . Taste of food, ambience, staff behavior and location everything was top notch. I really liked their mutton curry and breads. If you are bored with monotonous Indian restaurants in LA area, please plan to visit this restaurant and I am sure it won t disappoint you

Its a bit on the expensive side. But the food is very tasty. They just need to work on the quantity of Salt they put in Garlic burnt raita. Rest everything is perfect.

From the food to the service and the atmosphere, this place gets a 5 star! I love their gulab jamun that has an actual piece of gulab (rose) in the middle and their Indian inspired cocktails - I ve never tried anything like that before. I don t usually write long reviews but this place is def one of a kind! If you re thinking about trying it out, just do it. You won t be disappointed.

We had a delightful meal here where we tried some new dishes and some standbys. First, props to the staff. The waitress was super helpful and the support staff were on top of clearing our dishes as we finished. We started with a drink that was mixed perfectly and very delicious. Our appetizer was the broccoli malai. It was something different for us and very strongly flavored and layered. While we liked it, and appreciated the preparation and presentation, we definitely needed something else to counterbalance the strength of flavor. Thats where the samosas come in. They were definitely basic but serviceable. Our main course consisted of the butter chicken and mixed vegetables curry. The butter chicken had a sweetness to it that was different but welcome and the veggie curry was all fresh veggies. The naan was hot and buttery. Some of the best weve had. Wed definitely go back. Need to try those Tikka tacos and saag.

The food is very good, and it s nice to have a narrower but brilliantly executed menu than you normally see at Indian restaurants. However the atmosphere is a bit cold and the staff a little flat and, sometimes, frosty.

We really loved our meal. We got Crispy Cauliflower, Paneer Spinach Koftas and Fish Tikka Masala. Each dish was really excellent. This is a very different take on standard Indian dishes. The reason that I didn t give 5 stars is that the Fish dish arrived almost 20 minutes after the other food. Be advised that the prices are higher than a normal Indian restaurant but the portions are generous (except the Koftas) and the flavors are terrific. Our server was great.

Cant say I tried a bad dish at Arth Bar. The food was way over amazing. And the drinks were beautiful. The staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was chill. Met a new friend. Of the dishes I ordered the lobster curry was my favorite. I could see myself making repeat trips for this dish alone. Samosas were spiced right. Stuffed Mushrooms and tandoori shrimp are a must! If promise then over deliver was a restaurant this would be it. Thanks Arth Bar. Cheers to your success!

I have been here twice and everything is amazing..from their kind staff, to their incredible food, to the customer service, to the quick bartender who does a fantastic job..to the wonderful happy hour, to their romantic outdoor seating. Also, the waiters and waitresses are a joy to talk to about recommendations and they always greet you with a smile! I love to take my friends here and it is truly a gem! It is one of my favorite restaurants. Their butter chicken sliders are something to dream about and their cauliflower bites are making me hungry just thinking about. Sometimes restaurants disappoint but this one is above and beyond amazing and I recommend sitting outside if you can. 11/10 restaurant. GO TO ARTH! You will leave happy and well taken care of.

Fancy Indian restaurant, food is well presented. But their food is terrible. Nothing I ordered was even remotely Indian. Flavors were either watered down or nonexistent. For half the price, you can enjoy food that s way better that s just down the street.

Amazing flavors! We ordered a bunch of appetizers but only the pistachio Lamb stood out. We also got the butter chicken, saag paneer, nutty eggplants, and vegetable biryani - they were all delicious. The flavors were just different from the usual Indian restaurants. Service was great and had a nice ambiance. Highly recommend this place.

I like the atmosphere and the outdoor seating. The server is friendly. Food is good but not the best, the tacos are tasty and fresh. The fish tikka masala is okay but I think it s not worth the price as it s not served with rice or bread and the actual fish portion in the masala is significantly small! Food was served after a 40 minute wait, I think that s not typical but it did happen to us even though the place wasn t crowded. I wouldn t visit again.

Great new Indian restaurant in downtown Culver! We were easily able to get a table without a reservation. The patio was nicely set up with a great vibe. The menu is extensive with lots of options. Interesting mix of classic Indian dishes with some twists on the small plates and appetizers. The owner was there and it was great to meet him. He personally introduced himself to every table. Highly recommend the paneer tacos, chicken chili bites, cauliflower app, and the butter chicken. Cocktails were also great. Cant go wrong here!
