Peruvian modern cuisine, fine dining, brunch, lunch, ceviches,
So many good things to say about this place that I'm gonna take the untraditional route and talk about the other aspects besides the food that really stood out to me.
The service was impeccable! Shout out to Yeri and the rest of the staff for really taking care of us. They astonished our table with just how fast (quick and quiet like ninjas) they moved and their excellent coordinated teamwork really spoke to their level of professionalism.
Another detail that needs to be addressed and highlighted was the attention and the intentional thought for utensil selection for each of our dishes; absolutely impressive! The angled knives we received for our octopus dish were 1000% the best tool for that meal then the long thin spoons that were given when we had the churros and ice cream, couldn't have provided a better experience for us to properly enjoy. I've never seen a restaurant execute this so spot on in MY LIFE!
We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather while we snacked on the octopus, Beef Lomo, and churros & ice cream...all very good. Sadly, we learned that the business is moving in the next couple of months to Montebello.
Best of luck CevicheStop at your new location, we'll miss you.

The restaurant is nice, everything looks clean and organized. I ordered ají de gallina and it was ok, for $24 I was expecting something super delicious tho. My son ordered bluefin tuna tartare causa and honestly, the flavor was amazing. Loved the fusion for sure! My server was kind, but when I asked for the check, he said yes and he stood next to me with his little machine to pay him right away. It was kinda weird but anyway. I only went this place because an actress recommended it.

In my opinion, the food here is visually michelin star quality. They use a huge variety of specialty Peruvian ingredients such as aji amarillo where a less authentic resturant would use easier to find US alternatives like banana peppers. Their ingredients are all extremely high quality and fresh, especially the seafood. Everything was delicious. I had a trio of ceviches that were all great and roasted beef hearts that were incredibly tender and savory. The atmosphere is surprisingly casual for the exceptional quality of food but for me that's a benefit. It's more comfortable and relaxed and perhaps it's part of the reason why the prices are so reasonable compared to other restaurants serving the same quality of food.

Food was delicious, severely short staffed, prolongs orders and service.
Grilled octopus was of the hook!
Ceviche was delicious
Hamachi tostada was savory
Poor man's steak was definitely not poor man's food, steak, fries, rice, egg all delicious!!
Chicken and rice were kinda of meh!

I went there yesterday. Service is terrible. I waited for my ceviche for an hour!!! My daughter had French fries, she was lucky! Only 30 min wait. It’s pretty expensive for the hole in the wall. Place is not nice. But the worst started today. I had stomach ache all night and now I am really badly poisoned. Don’t come here!!!!! Terrible place

I come to this place because the food is excellent. But yesterday, September 14th, the experience was a disaster. I ordered to go, and the server who took my order, her name is Diana O, she ripped me off. I paid $15.00 more to receive something extra in my order but I didnt get anything. When I called back to ask for the chef Walter, they promised me that they were going to call me back, but nothing happened. Avoid going on weekends, the service is terrible and the portions are significantly smaller.

I had been at this restaurant a few years ago, and the food was enjoyable, but this time, it was terrible. We ordered about 6 dishes; they barely added any meat, and servings were ridiculously small. The huancaina sauce and pesto were watery and missing ingredients. Pisco sour was pretty bad as well, we had to send it back. Unacceptable, especially for what they charge. Beware.

I had higher expectations for their food but today I was disappointed. The ceviche had a very acidic juice and it seems that the lemon was ranched. the lomo saltado with pepper and without lying I got about 8 pieces of flavorless meat...!

Best Peruvian Restaurant in all of California for sure! Everything ive had here was amazing. From the chicha morada to the amazing ceviches. The classic is the best for me! With almost aji amarillo flavor. Not spicy. I dont ñike spicy but u can ask for it to be very spicy or mild if u wanted to. The tuna causa was also amazing and the hamachi tiradito. To die for!! Dog friendly in the patio.

This place looks nice from outside and inside but don t let that deceive you. My family and I came here to try the food for the first time ever and in hopes of celebrating a graduation but unfortunately we came out disappointed and hungry. Everything was going well at first we got seated immediately since the place wasn t busy at all (now I understand why) and we ordered our drinks and appetizers. It came out pretty fast and the appetizers as well. After we were done we ordered our food that s when it all went downhill. Our server Sandy seemed nice at first but it didn t end well. We understood that being a party of 7 means our food will take longer to be out but we waited for over an hour without complaining and watching other tables getting their food before us. Then when the food was out it was all cold and the server either forgot or didn t put in the order of the seventh person from our table so he watched us all get our food and his never came out. So we asked nicely about his food and was told it was coming when it finally did we were all practically done eating so that was upsetting. Plus the server kept confusing our food plates and started giving us attitude even though we were friendly at all times. It was a very unpleasant experience and the food was not good we all just poked around our food and left our plates exactly like they brought it to us because it was either undercooked or overcooked. Sadly it was not what we were hoping for a special day and on top of that we were still being charged for the plate that came out when we were all ready to leave. So we asked if it can be removed since we didn t even touch it and sent it back in the kitchen so the server did remove it but we still paid an overpriced food bill that left us hungry since none of us enjoyed our food and one food plate never made it out. Very unfortunate experience we had here I don t recommend it. Also when paying they take your card and don t come back until you go up there to ask for it not sure why they take long or do that for. It was all just bad.

me and my boyfriends family came here with a big appetite expecting it to be good since they went viral on tiktok we wanted to try something new we decided to come. the food took over an hour to get to our table and once we got it and took a bite we noticed it was cold, when we mentioned it to the server and she had a very bad attitude. don t come here unless u want cold food!

If I can give this place a one star I would I came to eat with my family for a Grad celebration we got here everything was going well drinks came out appetizer was out and then when it came to the food it was out an hour later and all the plates were already cold. I order my steak medium well came out well done super hard to chew and too cold to eat. Then when we asked one of the servers if he can reheat or get a warmer dish he made a face as if it bothered him. There was a bit of confusion on two of the plates because they were the same order and when it was brought out we wanted to confirm with the server she originally said let me check and never confirmed if it was the right one and when we asked another server to confirm she came back with attitude saying that s the reason I left the plate there because it was the right one (not trying to be picky or sound stuck up but as a customer verbal confirmation is highly appreciated). Another thing was the last plate took another 20 minutes on top of the hour to come out. We came with an appetite and excited to try this place for the first time but after customer service and food service we won t be coming back.

I wished there was an option to pick 0 stars. Terrible management. Waited almost 2 hours for a side of vegetables. The workers in the back just chit chatting and laughing. Overly expensive for the wait, service, food, and atmosphere. Music extremely loud, could barely hear my family. Terrible, terrible, terrible. Do not come here if you want to have good food, a good price, good service, and a good atmosphere. You are better off somewhere else.

The food was very good, but it took 45 minutes to get it. Two people were served first and I had to wait another 10 minutes before I got mine. We also asked for chips three separate times before they were brought to our table. We also had to ask to get our water glasses refilled. The restaurant is located on La Cienega, so its very noisy if you eat outside. I would not recommend going here unless you arent hungry and arent in a rush.

The service was horrendous here, we waiting 40 minutes to get our food while other tables who were seated later got food before us. We had to ask for chips to our ceviche three times to receive our food. When the food finally came it was fine but definitely NOT WORTH THE PRICE OR VISIT.

This is my 2nd time here and it was just as great. I ve loved every item I ve tried. Peruvian ceviche is refreshing and tart! The Classic Ceviche is tart, spicy, and has a variety of fresh ingredients that keeps me going back for another spoonful. The Lomo Saltado has both fries AND rice. Add it with the green sauce on top of that juicy, tender steak and this dish is divine. Parking: There s a parking lot in the back.

Our first time experience: We ordered classic ceviche no spicy, and it was spicy, we asked the waitress and he said, that is how it comes, flavor was good, the chicha morada did not taste like one, the pollo a la brasa has no Flavor, and it was well done, color of the skin was almost black, we had to ask for napkins, the ají for the chicken, please fix the tables, they are crooked. The service was not good, the boys need more training. Keep in mind we had reservations and requested the patio, the waiter took us inside, we told him the reservation was for the patio, from there he took us to the back and I told him if he could sit us in the front since there were tables available. The ceviche took 47 min, and the chicken another 20 min. My opinion respectfully Thank you

I wish this place had maintained it first approach of good street perubian food. But they have adopted a very weird high end/creative fancy unnecessary take on their menu. In a year or so they went from street food style to a seared hamachi tiradito with flames on a pile of salt so you can feel like youre eating at salt baes $1k menu experience... its just BS. You dont torch a tiradito... if so, is not called a tiradito anymore because is cooked. Also you dont leave the dark parts of the hamachi or any other delicate white fish. It makes it taste fishy. Idk, I wish I had a good review for it. Good luck with the expensive approach. Just lost a local.

Overall, the food at Ceviche stop is really good, but I have to ding them for their service and wait time. I called in a phone order multiple times to place my order. The first time, the individual who took my order didn t ring it in and over the phone told me 45 mins. I take my time to get there and once I arrive, they state they don t have my order. I understand things may happen and I ended up waiting 15-20 mins. On the second occasion, I called in, had the order rang in but not ready. On the phone I was told it would be 40 mins and here i go again taking my time. Upon my arrival, my food isn t ready, so I wait, understanding it s busy and in person customers come first. I ended up waiting for additional 40 mins and growing. At that moment, I left the restaurant with no food. If you re looking to try this restaurant, go for it but don t do phone orders

Always drive by here .. and always wanted to stop by... So we decided to drop in... Didnt have a reservation so the wait time will like 20 minutes... But what i dont understand is they have so many open tables but they dont sit anyone down.... Kind of weird.... Just be prepared to wait a long time... Thats the bad part of this business.... The food was amazing... Went with the leche de tigre... It was really good... You can also pick what spice level you want it... I chose the spicy level... Makes food just taste way better for me.... My girlfriend tried the lomo saltado... She loves it...

The drinks we ordered first, arrived at the end of the meal (not even joking). The food was overall ok, not bad not amazing. Would not recommend. Parking: Bad parking - there is never room so dont even try is my suggestion.

Kids unfriendly environment restaurant. Alberto, the waiter was RUDE to my whole family, disrespectful, and chose not to be forward to tell us he did not want to serve us for being such a large group. The food was ok, but the timing was horrible and requested us to leave because he had another reservation. Not even Lounge American Express dare to do that to us!!!

Best and worst first. Taste of the ceviche was good. While setting up another table, the server dropped a fork on the greasy floor, picked it up and brought the plate and utensils out to other customers. Gross. Besides that. They opened 15 minutes late, making everyone wait. No apology. The ratio of fish to salsa is off. Look at the picture how much sauce with diced onions was left. The lady next table literally asked me what Im drinking. No one checked in on me or topped up the water. Checkout process took 15 minutes. Certainly not again for me.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE: I would def be back to try other items! AMBIANCE: Casual. Noise level is average/loud (corner of a busy street). I sat outdoor on the patio with my dog, and didnt go inside, so not too sure how it is inside. DRESS CODE: Casual Ordered: Grilled Octopus (a bit on the salty side for me, but still good) and Peruvian Aguachiles Ceviche (the chips were a bit oily and too thin) SERVICE: Service is good! PRICE: ~ $50 (less if more more than one person). PARKING: Located at the corner of Washington and La Cienega (where 7-11 is); small parking lot. Food: 4/5 stars Service: 5/5 stars Venue: 4/5

I ll give a 3 star to this restaurant since the ceviche is really good but not the best! The classic ceviche and conchas negras is good but not the one that calls CARRETILLERO this one the sauce is to thick What I won t recommend for sure is the Picarones with is cover with oil and is not well done Arroz Chaufa they make with shredded chicken

The food was excellent. If you love seafood this is a great spot. They have many other dishes with chicken and beef as well. Although, the price point is high so be prepared to spend at minimum $50 per person or more depending what you order. The ambiance is quaint and intimate.

The food was delicious. My only critique is that it took long for the dishes to come out.

Last Sunday we went with the family and we were delighted with the deliciousness of their food. Each dish that our waiter Alberto suggested to us was an explosion of flavor on our palates. It is very gratifying to be able to savor a tasty, quality meal, with fresh ingredients, and most importantly, Albertos careful attention and knowledge of the ingredients that each dish contained, made us feel so welcome at Ceviche Stop. I recommend the Grilled Octopus with anticucho sauce and the wonderful and aphrodisiac ceviche de conchas negras (Bloody Clams). Thank you very much for such a good time that you gave us, thank you very much for such good service.

Was driving down La Cienega Blvd. and saw the beautiful signage for Ceviche Stop, so decided to stop in! We were greeted by a hostess upon entry who was standing in front of the decorative patio. She seated us immediately, and we liked that there were heat lamps to accommodate us outside. Our server, Alberto, was stellar! A true gentleman who welcomed us and walked us through the menu in great detail. We took his suggestion to start with the Hangover ceviche, and we were glad we did! It had many textures and was packed with flavor. For our entree, we enjoyed the paella, which to our surprise, has held up with any paella we ve ever had. The difference maker was the freshness of the seafood, the moistness of the rice, and the spices were executed perfectly. To our fortune, we were introduced to the chef, Walter, at the conclusion of our meal. Walter is a rockstar of a chef who is innovative and elevates each and every dish on the menu. It s obvious he puts his love and soul into the food. After working with a Peruvian establishment myself for many years, I can confidently say that this place is topnotch. A job well done!

100/10 best ceviche ever. Anyone in these reviews saying it s not raw enough or that it tastes cooked is uncultured. This is the best ceviche I ve had in the US (the best ever I had so far is was at a hole-in-the-wall in Puerto Rico). It s tart, flavorful, spicy, crispy and hits every time. My fav is the Peruvian classic. This isn t a sushi spot, it s ceviche. Get your tastes up.

I would like to say that this place is hands down the best Peruvian food I had in a very long time. Being of Peruvian descent I have to say that I have tried many places and nothing compares to the excellent delicious food I experienced and tasted this evening. The chef prepared a special meal off the menu and I will attach the picture. All of their ingredients used at this restaurant is top notch and although a bit on the pricy side it is worth it. Best hidden secret in Culver City area. I was happy to hear they have lunch specials since their dinner portions are generous and enough to share.

BEST meal we ve had in a long time! My fiancé and I came here on a Friday date night, and Alberto was the best server. He was so passionate and knowledgeable about the food- you couldn t help but want to order everything from his enthusiasm and descriptions. We got the chicha morada from his recommendation, which is a purple corn drink sweetened with fruit and spiced with cinnamon and cloves- and we re obsessed with it now. Alberto told us he grew up drinking chicha morada in Peru. We also got the delicious (and very instagrammable) Hangover ceviche which has delightful raw bass as well as fried calamari and seaweed on top. And, the paella- which is saucier than most Spanish paellas- and has unique bites from raw shaved onion and burnt limes. Truly such a hidden gem located at a busy intersection, but with plenty of parking and the best service and food.

As a Mexican, this is the best ceviche I ve ever had, the Peruvian ceviche was unforgettable. The seafood was so fresh and the flavors were beautifully complex with a tasty garlicky and acidic sauce. The atmosphere was very nice, I can t believe it wasn t packed with people. Our waiter, Alberto, was very helpful in navigating the menu as a first-timer and gave specific insight on pairing specific foods. Please check this place out I recommend tasting the Maracuya cocktail! Such a memorable experience!

Unfortunately, going so far with high expectations and finding the worst of Peruvian cuisine, there are many places with better food and lower prices. As a Peruvian I feel ashamed. Please improve your food and service, because the only good thing you have is misleading advertising.

Let me begin by saying this place has a potential five stars or more if the outside sign is changed. I was under the impression it was a pick up counter deli but I was wrong. - Sign doesn t justify the place.. Nice and cozy!! First dish was Anticuchos the perfect combination of acidity of the red pickle onions with Peruvian hominy, cilantro, potatoes and special house sauce felt like a New Year party in my mouth. Just wish anticuchos were a bit hotter in temperature. Perfectly cooked tho. Medium rare. Score 8-10 Lomo Saltado made with fillet mignon is One of must traditional dishes in Peru. For this dish I would score 8-10 was very tasty, rice to perfection and I love the extra surprises vegetables ingredients inside. Love it Maracuyá sour!!! Nothing to say but it s a must!! Score 8-10 I love the cozy atmosphere, decorated with authentic Peruvian artifacts that makes you take short trip to Peru and makes you forget you are still in the chaos of La Cienegas traffic. I will definitely come back and try something else.
