We went shopping to this JCP, and as usual this store is well organized and clean, men’s restroom was closed so I went to the one in the mall, not a big deal. The cashier was distracted, he almost charged me twice one item.
Just to be sure I counted the items before I left.
This wont make me stop visiting this store, but I will pay more attention when paying.

cashier seemed miserable and out of it a while back, I question how poor management is to not boost morale of employees. Doesn't feel welcoming. Needs more restrooms. Wondering when JCP will cease to exist

The store is always hot, no air/no ac. Staff is friendly. Cashiers have to fan themselves while ringing up customers. Definitely need to have some staff upstairs, feels like a and ghost town up there. Btw, this store is in Carson (SouthBay Pavilion)

Because the Glendale jcpenney has rude employees in the portrait department. My rating knocked this one down.

The main portion of JCPenney is great. Of course if you look real closely, you can see some of the years. That being said, the customer service is usually great the signage to find what you're looking for is good, and the prices are decent. I bought my stuff on the app and went inside for a return, it was hot and I didn't have to pick up anything luckily (curbside). Depending on your timing, it can be a quick pick up or a bit of a wait. If you like to look around or purchase online\app I would suggest it.

The cashiers at checkout (one is taller with cool glasses and the other shorter with a big smile) are friendly and helped with my questions, another employee downstairs helped me with some sizing information. My only issue is that there wasn't someone on the floor specifically to help out. Buying clothes for other people is time consuming.

This store has really bad customer service. I ask for help and the lady reply in a really bad mode. I was not able to find the sweeter I was looking because she dont help me.

10/19/24: Lifelong customer here and never had a negative experience until I was proceeded to be helped by an older woman named Naomi Caro [sic] on the basement level. Naomi got very argumentative about a QR code sign I asked about. Not only did she get argumentative, she got angry. She couldn't contain herself. She walked away from her register and instructed a fellow employee to help us. I told Naomi, "You don't belong in customer service. You have an attitude problem." She responded "Yes, I do!" Very embarrassing situation because other customers were present.

But my compliments to Jessica, Store Manager who listened to my complaint and handled it very professionally. Because of Jessica I feel like valued again as a customer.

I would never recommend this salon for young boys..don't ever get Maria. After I asked to fix it because she did a bad job.... you can still see the crooked lines on the fade... after she finished his hair cut he was upset and sad. I was so upset. NEVER WILL I GO HERE AGAIN!

JCPenney and Downey has terrible customer service. The manager Daisy Was very rude and biased was not accommodating at all, and I will never go there for any type of customer service. I suggest going to the one in Lakewood.

There was one restroom for the men in the store.. with one stall, and it was out of order...

My two stars review is for older people that my visit the store and have a more of an urgency to go to the restroom and there would be nothing that could be done about it..

For JCPenney's this should be unacceptable in every way..

Now understand I investigated the circumstances of the situation and it was like that for more than 1 1/2 hours.. A simple fix...
