The service was 10/10, the atmosphere was good too, but the food was SO BAD. EVERYTHING was very underseasoned, very oily or greasy. Literally not one item tasted that good. The two meals we got were NOT WORTH $100. I can think of a lot of places where I can eat better food for less than $100. I’m terribly disappointed in the quality of food. Please save your money and calories and go somewhere else. To be fair, the staff did a great job though! Very attentive and waiter was on top of stuff.

Always love Black Angus. Tries thw Campfire combo for 2 and was more food than we could eat. I ordered my prime rib medium and some of it was MW. Our Server, Victoria, offered to re do it but I was hungry and it wasn't that bad. We celebrated a birthday and even though our meal came with a dessert, the Server packed up the free bday dessert they provide. It was very nice

I love this brand but the Tustin location has become overridden with fruit flies in dining and bar area. So I thought I'd try different management.

I was the only African American in this restaurant and I was treated like a person that was unwelcome! Though I was there with four other persons that were non African American. I was told “you should learn to wait until you are ask the question may I help you!” The lady working at the bar was both rude and racist toward me and was sure to show me that I was in the wrong place! She turned her name tag over and she asked me “Sir is there a reason that you’re looking at me you’re making me uncomfortable!” She asked the other bar server to help that Black guy I’m not feeling him and I don’t deal with his kind! He took over and found out that I was there with the four Non-Blacks sitting next to me. The was the most odious treatment that I have ever had in a restaurant in this city. I will not come back and I strongly recommend that if you’re Black avoid this Restaurant at all Cost!

Haven’t been to a black angus since like the 90s… thought I’d give it a try. Wouldn’t recommend. You could go to La cave or something for the same price. The two dinners included two sides, but (1) charged $5.99 for two small pieces of broccoli? (2) $2.50 asparagus? (3) $2.50 for a side of bbq sauce? lol. It was really stupid… again find a better place. Some places are taking advantage of inflation at this point and this is a solid example of one. Attached the receipt lol.

The family and I just came back from a 3 hour drive from Santa Barbra. Wanted to have dinner so we picked Black Angus. Thank you to Johnathan, the food took a little longer than expected. He could tell the wife was cranky, came back to the table with a little discount and it made our night. Thank you for reading your guests and making the night special. We will be back for sure!

My sister and I are BLACK. We were told the wait time would be 20 minutes without reservations for Thanksgiving dinner. Two different pairs of WHITE people arrived 10 to 15 minutes after us without reservations. All of the WHITE people were seated 5 minutes later in the main dinning room, and then my BLACK sister and I were seated in the almost empty bar area immediately after the same hostess helped the WHITE customers. When our waitress came to our table we asked if we could eat in the main dining room and she had the same hostess immediately seat us in the main dining room next to the same two pairs of WHITE people who arrived after us with no reservations either. RACISM still exist!! SHAME ON YOU BLACK ANGUS!!!!!

Unfortunately very poorly trained staff, the reason for the reservation was given 24 hours in advance and birthday balloons were also booked during the personal consultation and nothing more was known (quiet table/birthday package) on the birthday and the disappointment was very great, for hot drinks 25 minutes maintained, toilet facilities dirty, unkempt and really only suitable for an emergency, but prices as if it were a good restaurant. The management should be replaced immediately and follow the example of the house in Santa Ana. There can be no success like this.

We have enjoyed the food and intimate atmosphere at this Fountain Valley location for years. There are always specials and new menu items. We especially love prime rib, filet mignon, lobster, fried zucchini starters, green salads and all deserts. The assistant manager Samantha is very warm and responsive and takes good care of her customers. Thank you! Kid-friendliness: Our granddaughter loves to have her birthday party there because she gets a big cookie with icecream.

Great food, I got the feast for two (2) times. I had two groupons, so basically 4 people eating and this time it was cheaper than the feast for (1). This time based on upgrades and drinks I paid about 30 bucks out of pocket and on the feast for 1 with the same 4 people eating I paid almost 60 bucks out of pocket.

I m sorry but after revisiting this restaurant after many years it hasn t changed much to my disappointment! I ordered a porterhouse steak and requested medium well without butter sauce. The steak was barely medium and had to send it back . Meanwhile my guest had to eat alone while I waited. The steak came back and was better but far from medium well and covered in the buttery sauce that I asked be left off. What s more basic than going to a steak house and asking the meat to be prepared correctly . The server was less than attentive and we had to rely on others to get service . I m generally overly positive about places that meet the mark .. this was not acceptable.

Had a bday dinner with my adopted mom and her son... It was a disappointing meal overall. My moms prime rib was nothing special, and my ribs were ok. I think the sides were the most decent items we ate. Ive only eaten at BA 2 or 3 times, and now I know why; its not the best place for prime rib or steak.

Booking a reservation was very easy and painless. We went on a Thursday after 8pm it wasnt too busy. They had the Olympics showing on a couple monitors and other various sports on other monitors, it was well balanced. Mark the manager has very beautiful eyes and was very professional. The waiter was very kind and respectful. She came to check on us often and made us laugh a couple of times. The noise in the enviroment was at a good level. We sat in the bar area and the food came out at a reasonable time. Food presentation was amazing. Food quality was amazing, taste was exceptional. We even ordered coffee and the tempature was perfect. Reasonable prices. Rib eye steak was delicious, everything was so good and we got to take some home for later. Fountain Valley location is doing a phenomenal job and no one was standing around looking at the sky, everyone was working even the manager. He came out to the table to ask personally how we were doing. Ill refer anyone here even if the process go up. This place is good and Im never disappointed when I come here. They are all professional and ready to work. The bus boy came out and was asking what plates he could take and not to rush, this company needs a hooray! From corporate and recognition from the city. Beautiful beautiful experience. Parking: Free parking, close to the entrance, easy to park and enough parking for all surrounding businesses. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, they had wheel chair accessibility.

My wife and I have gone to other Black Angus Steakhouse locations for years, and never had any issues. Today we ordered 2 of the sirloin combos on Uber eats to save time. Both steaks are easily the worst steaks we ve ever tasted, being stale over cooked and really look like they re 3 days old beyond the expiration date. I ve never felt the need to slam a restaurant like this but it s absolutely ridiculous the poor quality of steak they decided to serve us. Either the cook didn t care one bit or this specific location is trying to get rid of old beef which technically should be illegal with the quality we received. You know a steak is horrible when you re even afraid to give it to your dog. Absolute waste of money and we had to throw out both of the steaks they were so disgusting.

I was there with my family on June 18th in the evening. We waited 20-25 minutes to be seated. The restaurant had 10% of its seats occupied. When we took the order, we immediately said that the children were hungry and asked to bring dishes as when they ready. We also ordered steaks, and the most expensive steak on the menu. After waiting for one hour we left without waiting for our order, worst service

I love black Angus restaurant! I buy the campfire dinner for two For $45. It is by far the best sit down steakhouse deal Out there. I always get stuffed and take home the leftovers and it s good for another dinner the following day. The service is great. The food is outstanding and the portions are huge!. We were a little worried it was going to be very crowded as it was Mothers Day. We had an early reservation so everything was fine. We had Ribeye steaks which were nice and thick. We did pay to upgrade our steaks and also to get the mushrooms and onions on top. For starters, we had The Wagonwheel Sampler platter. It was a great meal.

My family and I went to Black Angus in Fountain Valley to celebrate Mothers Day. We made reservations for 4pm to try and beat the dinner crowd and it worked. Food was very good, everyone seemed to enjoy their food, my steak was cooked just the way I liked it. The only thing that bothered me was it seemed like our service could have been a little friendlier. Not that our server was rude, just maybe she was tired and needed a break before the big dinner rush. I get it, its Mothers Day, its a busy day. We did tip her very well though, because she was attentative.

I didnt expect a good atmosphere but was pleasantly surprised. I came on a late Friday night, put our name down and there were 2 large groups ahead of us. The people at the front desk discovered there were available tables for our small group of 3 and I heard them discuss that we were only there for 2 minutes and didnt want to seat us. Instead, they waited until the 2 large groups of 8+ people were seated until we were seated. This was about half an hour. Then when we were seated, a server came to take our order in a good amount of time. However, after we got our appetizers, the our main course took nearly 30 mins to come out. They really like to make you wait unnecessarily here. And the server walked by us several times without giving us any eye contact but spending a lot of time with the other customers to talk to them and not caring about our food taking a long time or even refilling our water. So when the food did come out, the ribs were super dry, these must have been cooked then frozen or boiled. Never had ribs so dry. And then my prime rib was supposed to be medium rare but it came out really well done on the outside and medium rare at the very center 1. It was super dry as well. I havent eaten at Black Angus in over a decade and its good to know I wasnt missing out on anything. Super mediocre food from the soups, to the bread to the mains. And these people that work here who could have seated us 30 minutes earlier but decided it wasnt a good idea and I overheard their conversation about why we shouldnt have been seated even though we had a small group and the large groups should have waited, well sorry Im out of breath here and this was a total fail of a night out. Black Angus, you are not worth anyones time.

I didnt realize that Ive never click post for my last review. This one is so good I decided to just post it now because Jacquie was excellent at resolving my issue. This was for year 2021. Got the food for take out. Its best to eat in your car than wait for the drive home for best quality which is what we did and what weve seen a lot of people also do in their cars in the parking lot. They still have same open hours and coupon deals. Its best to sign up for the emails because they send you coupons or let you know about new specials deals they are having. My family ordered their usual order online to make it easier and ready for when we arrived. I got the new York steak well done while my parents got the fish. I forgot what my bro got. We used that special combo deal for two that comes with a sampler platter and dessert which (limits one order per pickup). Then just ordered the rest of the two with a different coupon. You can look the coupon up online if you are in a rush to use one. I love this place and would come here again. Note: I bought $200 worth of gift card by pressing google link to their individual store and they failed to send me $40 worth to my email as promised for their deal (buy $50 get $10 back). The is my only reason for a lower rating. Edit: Late update 8/31/21: Ive changed my rating from 3 stars to 5 stars because customer relations Jacquie made serious efforts to correct the mistake cashstar made by sending me the $40 gift card to my house. She made consistent attempts to reach me both through email and phone calls which was great. She made dealing with the issue much easier because I didnt feel like I had to chase her down because she was chasing me down to solve the issue lol....

But, this time the fried shrimp were not the shrimp theyve had for years but small Bay shrimp. Very disappointing. Hope that was a one-time issue, and not the new normal.

It is always an absolute treat to find that this restaurant endures and continues to thrive here in Fountain Valley each time I return to my childhood home. The food was FANTASTIC as always, and our server was superb with a great attitude. Unfortunately, I did not see a name plate, so I can not properly give specific credit. Hooyah Black Angus! The service was great. The breaded chicken strips appetizer were very greasy. The deep fried zucchini was very good. Unfortunately the steaks were not seasoned enough or not at all. I think, the fries were home made but the quality was not that great. Limp and not crispy. I think a better job can be done. Finally, the crème brûlée was very, very good.

Had birthday celebration for my wife with eleven guests in attendance. Mark (manager) was so helpful in arranging seating in an area of the restaurant that was perfect for our group. Higher prices, LOWER QUALITY FOOD. Unfortunately the price for a burger is $19. Appetizers have smaller quantities and are of substandard quality. They also don t give you your points on there app. Wish they would change the pictures on there menu to reflect the changes in quantities (much less). Steaks seem to be still okay, but everything else is smaller quantities and poor quality for much much more cost. Do not recommend. Updated 1/18/24 This is the third time I have gone to this location since getting there app on my phone. And the third time they failed to give me my reward points. Very slow service and they forgot items we ordered all three times. Not going back to this Black Angus again.

So, for the first time our food was not delivered well. My steak was really dry, but not cooked enough. The shrimp was lukewarm at best.. same with ALL of us. Even the baked potato was barely warm. Nice, friendly waiter, who was slammed. Upon wanting it fixed, ( sisters chicken was pink) soup barely warm, we sent it back, and when they delivered it back to us, The Same Cut up steak, and the same pieces of chicken my sister had cut up.. just cooked more. It should have been re done. And the syeak was Already dry!! omgoodness. The manager was called over, and she LISTENED to us. She knew we werent dishonest. She comped the check, and really wanted us to return. A bad experience was turned around, and she will see us back. We have NEVER had a problem here. And We were SO HUNGRY!! The manager I believe was Samantha??? Im So bummed if Im wrong. She was Fabulous

My steak was honestly not good at all, way undercooked from what I ordered and my baked potato was drowned in butter. The chocolate cake was amazing. Devoured that thing. Our waitress was phenomenal. Attentive, nice, friendly and consistently checking up on us which was a plus. Just a little bummed on the steak and potato s I have always had great food coming here.

It all starts with service. Ours was lacking from the start. Our drinks were a wait. We ordered appetizers and they were a wait. I m not looking for fast food service but it was longer than expected. Our server didn t check on us enough. Once the apps arrived, she did a disappearing act. The side sauce was not fresh or edible. This was all setting the tone for the remainder of the meal. Now we have a different server asking if we would like another drink. By this time we have our salads and steaks (we did ask for these to come at the same time) so we order another round of bottled beers. Mind you, there are four of us on a Friday evening. Wait and wait and wait. Finally we get our server to come over to our table so we can ask about the drink order and she says, Oh, the beers were just put into the fridge not too long ago . Ok. She could have told us that before? So we told her to go ahead and cancel the round of beers we had placed with the other server and asked for our check. Parking: Lots of parking.

Always good, reliable, and fun. Nothing fancy but we enjoy this place. Try the lamb chops with chimichurri sauce, great. Always good. We like the happy hour. Dont forget the coupons!

Awesome experience! Fast service even for our party of 9 with no reservations! Parking: Plenty of parking although could use more lighting if your an employee ending your shift late at night as the restaurant is set back in the corner away from the street kind of secluded. I would be concerned for anyone I loved or myself for that matter.

After all these years it is a great steakhouse as well as bar. All the staff are friendly and for being so packed the service is fast. Parking: Plenty of parking available.

Today 09.17.2023 in 7:11pm I went to pick up my order for delivery to a person. At the checkout I was met by a blonde woman when I approached, her tone was absolutely not friendly, I dont speak English well and couldnt answer her or call a senior manager....... She asked me very loudly in front of everyone present to press on my phone that I had picked up the order. And then I ask to convey to this girl that I work as a part-time courier, I have my own business and I will earn 10 times more than her, and I know a normal tone of communication unlike her. To which she replied to me, Press a button on your phone for me and show me! She said this in an orderly tone of voice and held the bag very tightly in her hands, showing with all her appearance that she did not want to give it to me, I was shocked at her behavior. I eat very good food in many restaurants, I dont steal orders, and if she thinks like that about normal people, then she is like that herself. I am sure that she should not work in your restaurant, as she scares away all the guests with her appearance and behavior. I, in turn, made a conclusion and will never even think of trying food in your restaurant and I will tell my close circle about it so that they do not go to you, and if they do, only with a check.

We used to go a lot more when they had Happy Hour on food as well as drinks on Fridays, but we stopped going due to a bartender named Les. He was always annoyed and on the rude side. Then we found out he didnt work there anymore, so we started going again. They didnt have a live band or happy hour deals on food but the drinks were really good, especially with Happy hour beer prices till 6. I should mention all the other bartenders and waitresses are very nice, friendly, and efficient!

Worst frekin black angus experience! I just ate at the one near orange and it was delicious... I cant believe how much the experience can differ. Waitress sucked. Bread was stale. Salad was wilted old and was drenching in ranch. My filet was red undercooked, I asked her to cook it some more...came back still red. What the heck. My baked potato was overflowing with butter. The coke I got was flat and they had no straws for some reason. I cant believe how every aspect of my meal was bad. What the hell. So lousy. Go to a different black angus this experience was not good at all

Ribeye steak was correctly to medium, however, the sides were done poorly. Loaded baked potato was undercooked / hard, and asparagus was significantly overcooked. The server was very nice and did a good job.

I rarely eat meat and decided to have my yearly steak dinner at Black Angus.. I hadnt been there in over 20 years, so we decided to try it out.. the prices were high so I was expecting more.. I got the ribeye.. the flavor was pretty good and it was cook very well (med rare), but the amount of fat on the steak was crazy.. I get the ribeye a lot so am aware that fat is normal.. 3 oz of the steak was chewy fat.. I am also gluten-free, and all of the sides for the steak that were gluten-free were an upcharge.. the service was spectacular, that I was very pleased with.. I will not be returning to this restaurant..

Im reviewing this a few weeks after visiting. It was not a bad restaurant all around, but the food did not stand out to me. The ribs were a little tough. The steak was OK. But I will say if you enjoy potatoe dishes, they did a great job with that. The potatoes as well as the au gratin potatoes were really delicious. No complaints about service. Would I go back, sure.

Subpar experience We were seated five minutes before two other groups who had their drink orders taken and brought to their table along with complimentary bread before being asked for our drink order. After taking the drink order 10+ minutes passed then decided to cancel the order and never received complimentary bread. Im not nitpicking because the entire ordering process, food delivery, etc was slow. The food was slightly warm too.
