Stopped in for breakfast and found a nice little restaurant with great food and service. Our server was attentive and helpful, the food was hot and flavorful. Our party of 5 was not disappointed in anyway. We are from out of state and would come back if we find ourselves back in the area.

First time here. Great atmosphere, great staff, chill vibe. The only thing not grand was the Gran Burrito I ordered. Was craving a good breakfast burrito but ended up disappointed. Soggy yet dry, plain yet heavy on the salt, not very tasty. I read the reviews but most of the 5 star reviews were a little too similar in format and style of writing which leads me to think they are bought or doctored up. On the other hand, the lower star reviews were a little over the top and seemed wrong in most of what they were saying. My wife ordered the Eggs Florentine and I must say I was envious of her choice. I really appreciated the pancakes I ordered for my kid since they were in a Mickey Mouse shape. We also ordered a hazelnut iced latte which was bangin and an iced Americano that really did the job. All in all well give this place another try although im not getting that burrito again

I have never left a comment about a place, but today it deserves it, my friend told us about that place, I even left upset, it seems that the waitresses are not interested in serving. Oh, certain people, they didnt bring us cutlery, We had to ask, she doesnt want to speak Spanish, knowing how to speak, they never offered us more coffee, we had to ask, I asked for a glass of water, they never asked, NEVER if anything else or water was offered to my friends, my friend ordered chilaquiles, and at once he said to him, STUFFED, and I said no... I want MEDIUMS, no person of 4,, I lifted not even a plate, it seemed like they were bothered by us ordering something... I was urged to get out of there ,,I personally,,WOULD NOT RETURN OR RECOMMEND,,since at least my table was NOT given service, not even the BASICS,,I THINK they should give some costumer service classes to the staff,,AH.. and they kept the bill without equal,,ask something else,,they left it and no thanks,,UGH,BAD EXPERIENCE,,unfortunately,(Im also a waitress)

Ive been here four times according to my Google timeline and its gone so very far downhill. Their niche used to be small portions but great quality but its gotten worse over time. Today I had a flavorless burrito that had cold beans in the middle and had an overwhelming amount of spice for.. $14? For a reheated frozen burrito? Really? To wash it down I had an americano that tasted like the grounds/beans were burnt, like drip coffee that had been in the pot all day. I love spice, I love strong coffee, but both were just bad, especially when compared to what this place used to make. I never complain at restaurants so I let the cold spot in the burrito slide, and spice is subjective so I didnt bring that up either, but when I asked to swap out the coffee and why I was told it would be an additional charge. I declined, because I had already paid $20+ tip for the above and Im sure I could get better quality food and coffee at a 7/11 at this point. Ive been here plenty of times and have not had this experience here previously but this settles it and I wont be back.

### Review for S&J Cafe Everything was soooo amazingly good, from my kids French toast order to my Huevos Rancheros. For drinks, everything was also delicious, from the café de olla to the orange juices. They have homemade tortillas, and the lady making them is super nice with the best attitude, even though shes working outside in the hot weather. It was so good I didn t get to take pictures of everything!

Ordered a waffle breakfast and these dark pieces of what felt like plastic were embedded in the waffle. I showed the server and she said it was fine and that it was part of the batter. It didn t look or feel like batter. She offered to remake it but at that point I had lost my appetite. The latte was the only good part of the meal.

Delicious! I ordered through an online app so I cant say to much on a dinning in experience. I picked up my order on a Wednesday morning and the place had a generous amount of customers. Location is clean, corner space in a shopping mall. The food was delicious, I ordered a bacon omelette, potatoes and french toast. The bacon was a nice thick cut bacon and even though it was chopped I could tell it was a thicker cut of meat. Food was very flavorful. I was promptly greeting by a very friendly hostess. I definitely will be going back to try more on their menu

I recently had the opportunity to try the huevos motuleños at S&J Cafe, and I was blown away. This traditional Mexican breakfast dish is made with fried eggs, refried beans, tortilla chips, black beans, plantains, and a tomato-based sauce. The huevos motuleños at S&J Cafe were perfectly executed. The fried eggs were crispy on the outside and runny on the inside, the refried beans were creamy and flavorful, and the tortilla chips were perfectly toasted. The black beans and plantains added a nice sweetness and texture to the dish, and the tomato-based sauce was tangy and delicious. Overall, I was very impressed with the huevos motuleños at S&J Cafe. The dish was authentic, flavorful, and well-prepared. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying Mexican breakfast. Here are some of the things I liked most about the huevos motuleños at S&J Cafe: The eggs were cooked perfectly. They were crispy on the outside and runny on the inside, just the way I like them. The refried beans were creamy and flavorful. They were seasoned well and had a nice smoky flavor. The black beans and plantains added a nice sweetness and texture to the dish. The tomato-based sauce was tangy and delicious. It had a nice balance of sweetness and acidity. I would definitely recommend the huevos motuleños at S&J Cafe to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Mexican breakfast.

We were very uncomfortable because they were cleaning up to close, if they didnt want to see customers they should of said it up front I could have gone to enjoy a nice meal elsewhere.

Place was moderately busy but they had plenty of staff to cover. I ordered the French toast with eggs and sausage and side of hash brown and coke (can). Hubby got the carne asada chilaquiles side of beans and rice with Dr. Pepper (can). Server came to the table asked our drink order and another server literally started talking to her and she walked away. Came back, got our drink order and left. Came back to get our order, left. We had to ask her for our drinks twice. Dropped off drinks, left. Came back with food and the person that dropped it all off asked if I needed syrup or anything. Umm yes please, I have French toast. My breakfast was bland and the French toast was bad. Worse than my kids made on mothers day when they were 10. It was hard to cut and I couldnt bite it. It was almost like stale toast was used. Hubby said his carne asada was tender and good. Wouldnt make it a point to go back. Kid-friendliness: Its a family place

Really love their chilaquiles, but a couple years ago they switched their meat source or something cause I used to get a nice tender piece of flank steak, but now it comes with some chewy piece of either skirt or some lower quality cut of meat. After Covid I don t like that they re not back to normal diner style waiting, I used to love eating the spicy salsa they have and then ordering something to help calm the heat but now I can t unless I order it all upfront but I can t decide what I want which is why I liked being able to order as I go. But whatever , still go here but very rarely in hopes that they ve got some good meat again.

Great food! The salsa verde on the chilaquiles was perfectly tangy with a little heat. Hotcakes were chewy and satisfying, and the strawberries topping them were fresh and not syrupy. The chapin is a fun diversion from Mexican breakfast standards, and the chorizo had a hint of cinnamon that made it stand out from other chorizos I ve had. All in all, a terrific find tucked away in the corner of a strip mall. Only downside was the jarring sound of metal chairs scraping on concrete floor, but there s outdoor seating if that s too tough on the ears.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at S&J Cafe, a delightful Mexican breakfast and lunch spot tucked away in Anaheim, California. This cozy cafe offers a satisfying menu with a range of options to choose from. Whether youre an English or Spanish speaker, the bilingual staff here ensures a comfortable and friendly experience. The highlight of my visit was the Aztec bowl, a scrumptious breakfast creation that combined fluffy scrambled eggs, flavorful cactus, hearty beans, and a medley of fresh vegetables. Served with a choice of bread, this dish was a delightful symphony of flavors. Although it wasnt inherently spicy, adding a dash of Cholula hot sauce took it to the next level of deliciousness. My wife opted for a breakfast dish featuring eggs, rich refried beans, and a tomato-based veggie sauce atop a tortilla. The addition of fried plantains brought a touch of sweetness to the plate. The overall dish was fantastic, although we found it slightly salty. However, the freshness and deliciousness of the plantains compensated for it. The coffee at S&J Cafe is commendable, and it complements the meal perfectly. Our server, Mel, was an absolute gem. She went above and beyond, providing friendly and prompt service throughout our visit. One of the best aspects of S&J Cafe is its peaceful ambiance away from the hustle and bustle of tourist crowds in Anaheim. If youre seeking a great place to enjoy a satisfying meal, look no further. The service here is quick, the staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. Be prepared for generous portions that will leave you happily satiated. In conclusion, S&J Cafe in Anaheim offers a delectable selection of Mexican breakfast and lunch dishes. The Aztec bowl and the breakfast dish with fried plantains were particularly noteworthy, despite some minor seasoning issues. With friendly service from Mel and a cozy atmosphere, this hidden gem is a wonderful choice for a delicious meal away from the tourist hotspots. Dont miss out on this delightful experience! I have been here a few times with my husband and my experience has not been the best. They let his coffe cup go empty without a refill and I found a long hair in my chilaquiles it was very gross. They never came and checked on us to make sure everything was OK. The only time they seem nice and friendly is when they take your order. Other than that they forget about you once they drop off your food and drinks. I can understand if it was busy but it was very slow that day and still received poor service.

This place is one of my favorite places to have breakfast it is on the experience side for the portion served but the atmosphere made up for it. But now this place has no passion I took my family there and it was so awkward they stopped us and made us order everything in the front before sitting , I saw other families feel the same way, if u go there expect no service

I used to love this place. But it has changed so much. It is extremely expensive. Well over $100 for 4 people to eat breakfast. They seated us at a dirty table. It took a long time to get someone to clean it. The food portions were very small, especially for paying so much. And the food was definitely not fresh, like it used to be. The queso fresco was old and definitely not fresco. It had dried crusty edges. My daughter ordered her food mild. But it was so spicy that she couldnt eat it. And it feels weird the way they had us line up to order, before being seated. The food still has a good flavor. But this place definitely feels like they lost their passion. And now we are paying for it (LITERALLY). I do not recommend eating here anymore. I will not be spending my money here anymore.

More of a 3.7 rating Some sides that I ordered never arrived at the table. . . They turned on the fans and all the dust that was sitting on the fins of the fans started to fly everywhere ( on food ), suggest to wipe the dust off before turning on the fans. Food has good flavor.

Stopped by this location on our last trip to California back in February and Im still thinking about the flavor of the black beans. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We ordered the huevos motulenos. If this restaurant was in Vegas we would be there every weekend.

Tucked into the corner, in town for vacation and were very happy to find it. Got the coffee (provided different creamer flavors!), zapata latte cacahuate (peanuts and good spices), a la mexicana burrito, and waffle and eggs. The burrito was an amazing vegetarian option, the waffle was nice and soft with powdered sugar, and the hot sauce they make in house made the eggs and burrito taste even more amazing. All delicious, high quality, and fresh for a decent price (especially compared to overpriced American diners). Will come again!

This place was an amazing find! We are Mexican food snobs for sure. TRUE machaca con huevo, their housemade salsa was so good. Chilaquiles were good, they have nopales as one of the add ins. My only critique would be I prefer omelette with add ins mixed in instead of in the middle not blended w huevo...but thats matter of preference. Our waiter was on it! The others seemed to be new so think they just need to do a little more training. Overall great spot, cool ambience and amazing food!

The food was a 10 very authentic, chilaquiles the best I ve had and their salsa was so good and spicy I took some home! Our waiter was on top of it, friendly smile and very attentive. I wish I had this cafe 24/7! Give them a visit you won t regret it! Very first review ever, this was a must review location! The mimosa was good too!

Food is DELICIOUS!! Plus great customer service!!!. Our server Elijah was great!... This was our first time here. My husband and I were craving authentic Chilaquiles. Elijah told us that is what many customers order. We gave it a try!. AMAZING!!! Chips have a slight crunch not soggy. The salsa verde has the perfect amount of heat. Topped with chopped onion, queso, crema and egg (I opted out the egg). Very savory!! And we also ordered the Vegetarian Quesadilla. Handmade tortilla with sauteed vegetables and cheese that has a stretch. We look forward to go back!!

High prices. Low quality food. Spent $65 on 3 people. We got 3 burritos and a side of fries. We assumed the side of fries would be big enough for 3 people to split for $7 but it was actually the size of a large fast food fry, the kind you get for $2-3and there was nothin particularly special about them. The burritos had very little, almost zero, meat in them and they were very small for the price. Maybe we are used to taco shop burritos, but these were not even close to authentic or good. I didnt read the other reviews, maybe they had the breakfast which seems to be the focus of this place. Do not come here for their mexican food, I will never come back. I should add that the service was actually okay. The staff was nice and I obviously left a tip for them. But the experience was otherwise horrible. If you want a great burrito go to any taco shop, pay $8-10 and it will be twice the size.

Honestly, I really hate leaving bad reviews,In fact I rarely do, but Im just so upset after leaving this place. The food was just ok and the portion sizes were tiny. We got 3 burritos, a side of fries and 2 aguas frescas. The aguas were the only things that were worth the cost. The burritos were tiny and barely had any meat. They offered us ranch for the fries, but failed to say it was an extra charge. For three of us, tiny burritos with no substance, we left paying $75!!!! Thats including a tip we left because we felt the workers shouldnt suffer, but honestly I regret that also. None of us finished our food and we left hungry.

Cute and well decorated location with indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly and attentive staff. The food is honestly hit or miss. While the huevos rancheros and Denver omelette were fantastic, the Mexican burrito was underwhelming. The spinach-pineapple aquafresca was refreshing and smooth. All in all, great food if you know what to order.
