Great pancakes. Just wish they all came with bacon and eggs. paid $17 for 3 pumpkin pancakes and $4 for 2 scrambled eggs and $4 for 2 straps of bacon. A little pricey for breakfast. their Lemon pancakes are excellent. Wait staff were friendly and attentive.

Excellent Shrimp & Grits. Best fluffy flavorful pancakes, hands down. Polite & friendly service with a smile. No wonder this place is always packed. I finally was fortunate enough to get a table on a Monday in the later morning. My new favorite breakfast spot. Two downsides, only one bathroom and a tiny parking lot with limited street parking.

The food is good but the service has declined. I ve taken family twice in the past two months and both times, I experienced appallingly rude service, once from our server at the Gardena location on Western, and the second time from the host at the Artesia location in Gardena. I won t be going back. Years ago, I d regularly take family and we were always treated with kindness. Not anymore.

The Pan is an amazing place for anyone looking for a delicious local spot to try out. I went to during my trip in LA after it was recommended to me and it did not disappoint. The options this place has made it a little bit hard for me to choose but my waiter was very patient and even helped me choose the delicious Cinnamon Roll pancake as my upgrade from regular toast. Highly recommend this spot and will definitely be coming back!

They have another location about 2 miles away from this one, although this location is definitely their most popular. It s somewhere in between a traditional diner and standard breakfast restaurant. Our server was very polite, although it took quite a bit of time for all of our food items to come out. They have a very small free parking lot attached, and we were lucky enough to find a space for our Sunday brunch, but most other people I noticed had to do free street parking which is fairly plentiful in this part of town. I m giving it a 4/5 because the flavors were good but not great, I have had better recently, but I am still happy that we tried it. For my meal I chose the Short Rib Benedict and thought it had some nice flavors although I was surprised it did not come with a side. It was just the Benedict. I have to give it a 3/5 though because the eggs were completely hard-boiled and any true good Benedict has to have poached eggs or at least a soft boil. That really took away from the flavors. I also ordered a Cinnamon Roll Pancake on the side and was sad to see it was full of nuts. It really took away from the cinnamon flavor and I felt like I was eating a nut pancake. The caramel latte was nice and I would recommend ordering that. Overall a decent breakfast spot, but considering I drove down from West LA specifically for it I don t plan to be back. The flavors were good, but not great. Parking: small free parking lot attached

Place has a beautiful look, sleek design. One thing I didnt like was the upcharge for pancakes, you can upgrade the toast on your breakfast but only for ONE Pancake?! The second cost a whole $4, that seems excessive for regular pancakes. Aside from that, the staff is attentive service is great. I judge a diner by its breakfast, especially pancakes. Breakfast was good

Our first time here and it was extremely disappointing. From the moment we got there the waiters were rude and have no customer service skills. I also seen another person take a picture of this cart that s just there in another review. Not only does it stink, but we were sat right next to it. It s disgusting and unsanitary. Additionally, it s so small, it gets extremely crowded where you get no personal space, it was really just a bad experience overall.

Red Flag Restaurant. We order chilakiles and kids pizza! I post it before, apparently didnt go through! The place was kind of slow but they dont have coordination, they all want to do a little of everything when in fact In a restaurant you have assignments. These guy was all over! Kitchen cleaning tables seating ppl! I guess they can multitask but in a wrong way! He was picking up plates and bringing them to a bus tub station touching from the rim the glasses where ppl put their mouth, dirty Silverware and napkings then cleaning on his shirt and pants, no apron or napking to clean them! The. Seats two ppl grabing the menus w dirty hands then comes back to pick up the roll-up w same dirty hands! After that he cleans a table and grab a filty cloth from a bucket and cleans the table and splash all over the window put it back in there and wipe his hands w. His shirt! Unsanitary, that along deserves a C fron health dept. I ask for greenand red sauce and they brought me only red but Yet they charged me $2.00for extra sauce that it was missing in action! My son didnt like the pizza and decided to take it home and ends up forgetting it! His reaction was, its ok pops it was not that good, too dry and no flavor! Some ppl dont mind this but me coming from restaurant experience over 30 years was a disappointment ! I had to flag a person to get more coffee! Over all you see the stars already. You can give it a try and be the judge 4 it!

Perfect brunch spot. Everything is delicious and outstanding. Never had a bad dish. Creative dishes. Good service. Peanut butter pancakes, guava pancakes, tiramisu pancakes, loaded hash browns are all delicious. Only hard part about coming here is the parking and wait on busy days. But there do have multiple locations now, have not tried those yet. Went on a weekday and there was no wait. Parking: <15 parking spots in the lot, but you can find street parking, may need to walk a short distance. Usually there will be long wait for a table if its peak hours/weekends.

Disclaimer: As a veteran African American teacher, I will provide reviews especially when service is subpar as well as embedded in stereotypical misconceptions of African American people ..This is why telling the true history of African Americans in our history books is so critical to healing America. I have bought take out as well as dined in several times at The Pan, Gardena. I have opted to eat here because it is my neighborhood restaurant, the food is tasty and hearty for the price. I decided to celebrate my 54th birthday, July 8th with my family, friends and my pool family at the Gardena location; this was my second time encountering the Manager waitress ..My internal instinct did not feel settled, however I went with the flow because I wanted to be happy and at peace on my birthday. However, today s experience with my pool family confirmed my internal discomfort was spot on: the Latina waitress/greeters present themselves as being very uncomfortable servicing a group of African American people, lacks welcoming atmosphere for dining, impatient with adding people to party, lack of customer convenience as it relates to paying. The entire experience makes one feel as though we are an inconvenience to their business. The Pan is a chain restaurant, therefore I do not understand why the individualized electronic paying machine is not implemented at their restaurants. Today, I intentionally ordered my food online because I did not want to have an issue paying for my food with a card, with a group; yet I was not even offered a glass of water. I will NEVER patronize The Pan again and I will spread the word amid my village: my students, my family, my pool family and my sorority; I will tell them not to spend their money at The Pan because the service is horrible and they do not care about losing customers. Lastly, thank you to the chiefs, /cooks for doing your job well, your meals are consistent, however the servers really tarnish one s entire experience. Note: July We spent $300+, August $250 and I spent $40 for my meal alone today. Parking: Limited parking.

Enjoyed Sunday Brunch with family @The Pan in Long Beach, CA. My first visit was good. I got there in under 10 minutes from my home in Carson and found a parking space in their lot. My family was there ahead of me and our wait was less than minutes. Our booth was roomy and our waitress busy, while still friendly, could have used more help. She took our order and the food followed very quickly. I had the popular Lumberjack sans meat, with pancakes and fruit. I was happy with my meal as was everyone in our group with their choices. I can see a return visit in the future.

When I went to pick it up I was there for 15 minutes waiting for them to find my order, they told me multiple times that they haven t got a phone order in the last 30 minutes which was a lie because I called 15 minutes prior. I had to show them my call log and show them I called the correct location and was in they phone with them for them to be like oh yeah we did take your order but we put you under the wrong name. A little pricey for breakfast. Ordered my eggs over medium, but yolks were runny. To be honest, very few places cook the fried eggs over medium to my liking, with the yolk set almost firm, with just a touch of looseness. But any of their pancakes are delicious, decide your flavor and wont be disappointed. The loaded hash browns was the only dish we didnt finish, as my daughter couldnt eat it all. You will be happy you went, abeit your wallet quite lighter spending $100 for 4 with only entrees and drinks at breakfast.

They simply cooked meat and dumped it on top of our now hour-cold benedicts. Although they apologized, they did not provide us with any reimbursements, discounts, or anything. I recently dined at The Pan restaurant in Gardena, California and had a truly delightful experience. On the recommendation of our knowledgeable waitress, we ordered the short rib barbacoa eggs Benedict and it was an absolute masterpiece. The combination of tender, flavorful short rib barbacoa and perfectly poached eggs on a bed of buttery, toasted corn cakes was a true feast for the senses. In addition to the outstanding food, I found the décor and ambiance of the restaurant to be both cozy and sophisticated. The modern, industrial style paired perfectly with the comfortable patio seating, making it an ideal spot to enjoy a relaxing meal with friends or family. Its worth noting that, the restaurant is often busy and waiting at least 20 min should be expected. Parking is also extremely limited. Overall the unique menu, and wonderful dining experience truly make this restaurant stand out among the many options in the Gardena area.

Great pancakes! Tried the Banana Nut pancakes and crabcakes for breakfast. Not much of a fan of the crabcakes a little too wet for my taste buds. But overall the food was very good.

I was so embarrassed. While eating a customer came and inform me they have reserved my table and I should be fast. The waitress came and told me that was not right and that she will inform the manager. The manager said nothing to me. I dont know what the manager told the waitress, she came back and ask if Im ready to go. I could not believe this embarrassment. This is a true story. Very disrespectful

Omelets were good! but pancakes were disgusting no flavor at all and when I ordered and extra side of eggs and sausage I got a ridiculous amount something that my 2 year old can finish in one bite and 2 small pieces of sausage!!! It was ridiculous especially for how everything is prices horrible and expensive

Me and my family came here one day and the service was just horrible we waited 1 hr just to get our food. This time around we came and told the host that I wanted a table for 3 and she told me to give her one second. While at the same time she is seating other parties before us without being complete. Then we had to wait 30 mins to get seated when we could have been seated already. Will definitely never be coming back. Would have to say this has to be the worst location there is.

The food is very average and expensive not worth it in my opinion. Very cheap with the portions. Ordered the Mediterranean omelet that comes with a choice of toast or pancakes (waitress said it plural). After the food was brought, it was only 1 sad looking dry pancake that was served. Expected at least 2 for the price I was paying. Omelet was dry and over cooked. Flavor wise the toppings were good. I either went on a bad day or ordered the wrong menu item. Would not return.
