The menu looked nice and they had options to make your own pasta. Had pink sauce fettuccini, with added chicken. the worst taste, left most of it. Not nice. Wife also couldn’t eat. Never had so bad tasting pink sauce.

Have been coming to this lovely & cozy place for 26 years. I truly appreciate the great service we’re always provided with. “Adan” is a true classic, very hardworking man. He makes us feel at home each and every time. “Ligaya” was amazing today as well. All the food I’ve eaten here is delicious. Today I had the pink sauce fettuccine with shrimp and lots of mushrooms. The garlic bread is a family favorite, the pizza is soooooo yummy. Last but not least the spumoni ice cream is perfect 👌. Thank you ✨Lomeli’s ✨ for your awesome food and excellent customer service ❣️

Definitely a hidden gem!!! The entrance itself is very enchanting because it feels like you are opening into a new world because there a door in a wall as if it’s not supposed to be there.

Food here is amazing! I personally absolutely LOVED pizza here especially for my son. Most of pizza joints that I’ve gone to was too salty. Here, it’s less salty enough for me to recommend my son for many pieces.

Staff here are very professional! They don’t come too often where you feel annoyed but they stop by enough for me to feel cared for.

This was my wife and my first time eating here. Food was priced reasonably and service was very good. Food was delicious and served hot. We got the feast for two and it was plenty of food for 2. The reviews had me extremely hopeful that I was going to receive a delicious italian dish but unfortunately I was actually greatly disappointed ☹️ I ordered beef ravioli and added spinach to it. The ravioli was undercooked and gummy also soaking in oil. I really tried to strain the oil and give it a chance but It was just unbearable and very unpleasant. I also ordered a small pepperoni pizza 🍕 which was disgusting as well and greasy. My husband ordered the shrimp & scallops I paid to add chicken & they didn’t include the chicken. His pasta came out good but it was still greasy. If the number 0 could be a rating that would without a questions doubt be the option I would have chosen. Also the young men who were the cooks were very flirtatious and very unprofessional. 1 of the young men kept staring at me and winking plus licking his lips from across the open window . I felt very uncomfortable.

Very nice place for some Italian food for dinner, I highly recommend this place for the Pizzas, pastas. Also they have a sandwich called Submarine and another called the Torpedo, both are delicious. The atmosphere is very cozy.

Wonderful restaurant definitely a hidden gem. I really love the atmosphere and how the decor has not changed with time. You feel transported back into a decade where eateries were still cozy. The food also is excellent Ive yet to have a subpar meal. The pasta is great and so is the garlic bread and its reasonably priced given our economy. I hope this place stays open forever.

The food here was so good usually when I order pasta whether to go or in restaurant, I have to add a little seasoning too late, but with this Alfredo, the chicken was not dry and the sauce was cooked to perfection even though garlic bread was good. I will definitely be back and spending more money.

I came here for dinner, I got the fettuccine Alfredo, it was all very tasty. Try and come when its not too busy when its busy it can be hard to get the servers attention and you might have to wait a while for the bill but other then that it was great

Cozy cute place, friendly staff and service was good. Tried takeout for my first visit, and got a submarine sandwich. It was very good tasting. But I shared it with someone else and we both had stomach aches a while after eating it. Hoping it was a an off issue, we both went for in for a dinner. Again the food was very good. My fettuccine alfredo with chicken, his was the breaded ribeye cutlet. Both tasted very very good, but round two of getting a strong stomach ache a few hours after eating there. My recommendation is to have the staff check their kitchen, and clean everything thoroughly. Also check that the kitchen staff are washing their hands and not causing any cross contamination of anything. Hopefully the kitchen staff also have great personal hygiene so no touching anything other than good when cooking. I wanted this to be a regular place, and the restaurant can fix whatever needs fixing, but I m going to have to save my stomach and not return.

Horrible pizza, ordered a new pizza with ricotta , basil and pepperoni. They just give a little pepperoni on the pizza but drizzle with too much honey, it became a dessert the pizza took so long and it was not even hot when it came to our table.

Lomeli s Italian Restaurant is a South Bay favorite. They ve been around for generations and the food is still high quality as when i was a kid. The taste of all my favorites has never changed and i still order my favorites. The small restaurant is surprisingly roomy inside with many tables. The service is usually very good, sometimes there s a lag because its packed. The staff are friendly and the owners are really nice. The inside has the look of an Italian bistro and a cozy intimate dining room. There are plenty of parking spots in this strip mall.

I love the food and the staff. But when looking around the dining room it is hard to notice that it needs a total deep cleaning. I know you were closed for a while I hope that was the reason I would love to come back.

I used to love going to Lomelis have even catered from them before. Food and service is great. Cleanliness is an issue when you look up all you see is dirt and cobwebs. Makes me think what the kitchen looks like. I would definitely come back if the dining room had a total cleaning. I know you were closed for a while hopefully it was to do a deep clean. Keep me posted.

My family and I don t usually come to this restaurant often however, we ve come here a few times. Most of our meals have been good and pleasant. However in the last two occasions, we have got out order wrong. Now mind you we order take out because this place is just so tiny. So going back to get out order fixed or get reimbursed is not ideal nor convenient. This last time which is a crazy holiday (valentines) our pasta was stuck together, and not enough pasta sauce. We order 3 orders of the breaded cutlet, and all were uneatable . The cutlets were all overly cooked. I wound defiantly not go here! I ll be taking my money elsewhere. Like Nikkos in San Pedro when I m craving good eatalian!!!

I ve been a huge fan of Lomelies my entire life. As a child my mom Ruth worked here as a waitress and the food from Lomelies takes me right back to my childhood. I loved going back to see some of the same staff working there and to see that although the menu has expanded a bit the quality is still top notch. It s been quite the treat to come back and I m hopeful next time I visit Carlos will be there so I can say hello. (The number 5 is an excellent option for those who are unsure of what to get) Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking right out front.

Had high hopes for their food, according to their ratings 4.5. Was sadly disappointed. Took a while to get our order in. Once our order was in, the two tables with customers that had been seated way after us had already gotten their orders and food. When our food finally arrived. Both my plate and my friends plate were wrong. And we ordered the same thing. The food was taken back as my spouse and other friend ate their food. The waitress gave us the impression that she didnt want to serve us. But we continue to sit there and be kind and polite despite the restaurants shortcomings. The conclusion was that my spouse and friend were able to eat their food. Well, my other friend and I were not able to partake. Instead, we were forced to take our food to go because, the time we received our correct food. Half of our table was already done with their food. The only pro was that they gave use extra carrots to snack on in the beginning.

We stopped in unplanned to Lomeli s, and had a nice meal that was tasty and not terribly expensive. Both my girlfriend and I had fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, and garlic bread, which is brought to each table with dinner. The food was seasoned very nicely - while the Alfredo sauce could have been a little richer and thicker, it was better than a lot of places we ve tried. And the chicken was seasoned perfectly, enhancing the overall flavor of the dish. The garlic bread was spot on and very good. The ambiance of Lomeli s is what threw us off just a bit. This place has been in a strip mall since the late 1970s, and has just about zero curb appeal; there aren t even windows. As we arrived, it looked like maybe the restaurant was closed and its space boarded up, it looks that plain. However, there were a lot of people waiting outside and there is a door in the façade - super odd frontage - so it was apparent that the restaurant WAS open. And seemingly popular. Inside, the restaurant is cozy - it s tiny. Expect a wait if you show up at peak meal times. There are booths and tables (mostly booths) that are decorated with homey touches - framed artwork, hanging spices, herbs, and vegetables (plastic). The weird thing is the music - rather than Italian music or even something appropriate like Sinatra or Dean Martin, we listened to a completely random soundtrack that consisted of New Order, Dolly Parton, Sam Cooke, Joy Division, and Diana Ross. I know weird. However, none of the music sucked; it was just random as hell. The staff were all very nice and welcoming to us, despite it being very busy. While we wouldn t go out of our way to drive a long distance to go to dinner here, we d definitely stop in again if we are in the area, and do recommend it to others looking for a place to eat in the Gardenia neighborhood! Wheelchair accessibility: California; it s accessible, although may be a tight fit, as it s a very small space inside. Bathroom will be very tight for wheelchairs.

Weve been coming to this restaurant for a very long time and I love it cuz the food and the service is amazing. But the last time I went the food servings were smaller than usual. But the prices were still the same. Every time we leave this place we always leave with leftovers but this time we still left hungry. Which makes me a little sad cuz this was one of my favorite Italian restaurants but they dont serve that Italian portion anymore

Very disappointed on the service. It was my 1st time trying this place out and now it will be my last. Never got the pizza we ordered, The table next to me order just a lil before us(no kore than 5mins) and she got her pizza no later than 15 mins. Few minutes later I get my plate combo #1 and says pizza will be right out half way through my plate she comes by and says, oh your pizza seems like she never placed it. I didnt get to finish my plate because I was waiting on the pizza that never came, by that time my food was cold. Asked them to cancel the order and gives us the bill. Would have been nice if they would had apologized but no one seems like they can do that there. We were so over it we got up to pay the bill up in front because we knew no one would come back to charge us.Wish it would have been a different experience.

Always Authentic. Always as if you stepped into the Italian section in 1970s East coast restaurant. The Atmosphere of Mamas House and Kitchen match the authenticity of the food. Dont go anywhere else for real Italian food. Fughgetaboutit!

9/23/2023 I purchased penne pasta with pink sauce and chicken and it came with garlic bread. I asked if they had oil and vinegar for the bread and they said no which is odd for an Italian restaurant. The pasta dish taste like it was either from a jar or microwaved meal, no flavor at all, and the bread was too hard to eat. A waste of $17. I would not recommend this place.

We had very lavish pizza here, which we really enjoyed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very inconspicuous from the outside and if other guests hadnt entered before us, we probably wouldnt have taken the door to the right below the restaurant sign seriously. But its actually the entrance and it was worth it. Inside, the restaurant looks homely and cozy - whats a little unusual is that it doesnt have any windows at all. Parking: There are plenty of free and free parking spaces on site.

Oh WOW! I lived near this restaurant for almost 20 years. We didn t realize that we this is such a gem. We came here to celebrate our 24 year anniversary. We had a blast. Great food, staff, prices, large portions, and atmosphere. I ordered the combo #1 and was full. I m a big guy so that says a lot. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I came in on 8/5/23 around 4pm. I received garlic bread that was not toasted it just had garlic butter spread on top. I politely asked if I can have it more toasted and in return I receive BURNT garlic bread. The person was the fat guy with a baseball cap. He was rude and never apologized even once. Will not be recommending this place to anyone.

I wish I could review this place higher because the atmosphere was so nice and the waitresses were amazing. The food was honestly mid. My chicken was obviously reheated and was dry and hard in some places. That being said everything else was good simple food in large portions and tasted okay.

Its a Mothers Sunday sauce type of place. I live the food , the people, the ambiance. Its like home away from Home. Mr. Lomeli himself greeted us in. Very attentative! Im glad to see a family business stay in the family!! (His granddaughter is there)

I saw the pics online and was excited for this to be a cute little italian trattoria style restaurant, but was sorely disappointed. The ambience and overall vibe is spot on, but the food is mediocre to average at best. They had one good dish from the three we tried-the beef lasagna was good, but the pizza and prime rib parm, and the pasta that came with them were not. The spumoni ice cream was also quite good, Ill be looking for that in grocery retail I the area. Vegetarian options: I mean. Its pasta with sauce, so most stuff is kinda vegetarian by default. Waitstaff definitely seemed willing to accommodate requests Kid-friendliness: Food is pretty bland, and I believe the kids meals come with dessert, which was always fun for me as a kid. Restaurant overall seemed pretty welcoming of families; there were a couple of tables with small children who seemed well behaved but did have the occasional small tantrum or scream/cry (this is not a complaint! This is normal children behavior and completely reasonable to expect in a restaurant. It wasnt at a level that I considered obtrusive to the dining experience)

Kind and helpful waiter. Got the Alfredo shrimp and scallops. Sauce was watered maybe from the pasta. Scallops was cut into multiple small pieces. Still overpaid for a water down Alfredo pasta. Atleast the garlic bread was good. Spent close $100. Kid-friendliness: Crayons and book provided

Very nice place for some Italian food for dinner, I highly recommend this place for the Pizzas, pastas. Also they have a sandwich called Submarine and another called the Torpedo, both are delicious. The atmosphere is very cozy.

The vibe inside this place is awesome. When you walk inside this place you completely forget its in a grocery store parking lot and are transported to a nice, authentic Italian restaurant.

Had the lasagna it was horrible, soupier then Campbells. The lodge I belong to had it catered, the worst I ever had. Couldnt even cut in portions had to spoon out onto plates. Would not recommend.

Nice place, the only thing was that it took more time of what they said at the beginning, I understand we were a party of 8. But they took more than an hour after saying it would be 35 mins. Bit we didnt regret it because the food was good.
